"Please do not waste time going to this restaurant"
"The food was average not the best, what I'm more dissapointed in was the fact that when I walked in to order the lady 'Kavish' there looked like she was bored and didn't want to be there to the point she was evening yawning right infront of me with no effort to even hide it! When I ordered I went to pay I didn't have small change so I gave her the smallest note I had and she responded "what you doing have the "
"ZERO!!!!Yes, you heard me right because that's what I would give to this restaurant for his appauling service, rude owner, overcharging tactics & no hygine"
"The BEST Indian food in Melbourne! After being disappointed with small, flavorless meals from other northern suburbs Indian restaurants we finally found Aroma and what a surprise! The tandoori chicken is absolutely delicious and our favorite"
"We have ordered food from Aroma quite a few times via Menulog and the food is always very tasty and the delivery is always on time"
Please do not waste time going to this restaurant. I would give this place a 0 if it allowed me. 1. As soon as I walked in, it was very humid and hot inside. I asked the owner to turn the AC on if he could, and he straight away denied. 2. The seating arrangement was terrible. It's a very tiny space to sit down and eat. Also, there no access to a bathroom or to even wash your hands. 3. I ordered the lunch special that came with naan. First off, one naan is $2.70 however, they were the store bought frozen naan, not fresh. The naan had butter on them, however I was not told beforehand nor did it state that the naan will have butter on it in the menu. When I asked the owner if I could replace the naan, he said no because I didn't tell him beforehand to not apply the butter. He went on to say he will charge extra if i would like to replace the naan. 4. The customer service was absolutely horrible. The owner was the only one working. He was taking orders and also working in the kitchen at the same time. When he went into the kitchen, i had to call numerous times to get his attention each time i needed something and he wouldn't answer. 5. The food was tasteless and I will definitely not recommend anyone to go there and waste their time and money.
The food was average not the best, what I'm more dissapointed in was the fact that when I walked in to order the lady 'Kavish' there looked like she was bored and didn't want to be there to the point she was evening yawning right infront of me with no effort to even hide it! When I ordered I went to pay I didn't have small change so I gave her the smallest note I had and she responded "what you doing have the .70c" I said no unfortunately I only have .15c of coins that's why I've given you an extra $10. She rolled her eyes at me to which I then asked "do you not have change" she said "yeah I do". Extremly rude. Even if the food was amazing I would probably never order food from there again as customer service is a big thing to me and I'm sure many others. I wouldn't recommend this place. Much better service and food elsewhere !
ZERO!!!!Yes, you heard me right because that's what I would give to this restaurant for his appauling service, rude owner, overcharging tactics & no hygine. I wonder what happens in their kitchen. I am a foodie and have tried & love to try indian food everywhere I can. Therefore, I have always made ure to promote the ones which are good and also, give an honest review if they are not. Long story short this was an absolute rip off and therefore, was my first and last visit to this restaurant. Satsriyakal P.S. i have checked with others about this restaurant and they said the same and that the owner doesn't care what I have experienced there and recommended khalsa sweets instead!
The BEST Indian food in Melbourne! After being disappointed with small, flavorless meals from other northern suburbs Indian restaurants we finally found Aroma and what a surprise! The tandoori chicken is absolutely delicious and our favorite. The garlic naans are huge, full of flavor and amazing. The place is extremely clean, the service fast and reliable and the costs are low for the quality of meals you receive. Do not order from anywhere else, you won't be sorry! Thank you Aroma Indian Cuisine for the fantastic food which has cheered us up many times during lockdown
We have ordered food from Aroma quite a few times via Menulog and the food is always very tasty and the delivery is always on time. It's one of our favourite Indian restaurants in the area. --- Edited in 2020: We have now come to the conclusion that Aroma is absolutely the BEST in the area. Every now and then we try another Indian restaurant just to check and each time, we miss Aroma's delicious food: it's so very tasty, perfectly cooked, it's not dripping in oil as often found at other restaurants, their naan is delicious, their gulab jamuns are perfect. Thank you!
We ordered Vegetables Noodles and Amritsari Fish, both dishes were good in taste especially Noodles. I would rate noodles as best in the area would love to have some more exotic vegetables in it but nevertheless taste was really good, will definitely order again soon Thanks to chef Regards Gagandeep

Lovely food, great service, we eat here all the time. Update: we order at least once a month and the quality has never dropped. It’s the only Indian takeaway in the area that has never let us down. Every other place on all the ordering platforms make butter chicken that tastes like Campbells Tomato soup. The recent negative reviews have no idea what Indian cuisine tastes like or are competitors relying on Google’s refusal to take down fake reviews. Look at the Menulog reviews to get the real picture on Aroma Indian’s popularity.
The staff is a bit unprofessional, I asked them to update their restaurant details in the Uber App, their only reasoning behind not doing that is that there’s no other Indian Restaurant around here, that’s not how it works, you can treat the drivers in as much of a condescending way as you want, but when it comes to do something reasonable, don’t shy away from putting in the effort. I’m sure the management can take care of it. Not that I want someone’s reputation to be blemished, but put in the effort where’s it’s necessary.
The chicken biryani was below average and a 2/5 rating is actually generous. Uber eats has a 4.7/5, I don't know how and that is completely misleading. The taste and aroma wasn't great but the price is at par with restaurants around that serve the same cuisine. You can say the biryani was absolutely bland or tasteless. Extremely disappointed. They should really improve their service.

If I was able to leave no stars I will this place was amazingly discusting I first entered a the place and the front counter girl was playing with her nose then I told her that that's not hygiene to everyone please go wash your hands then she said that you can't enter the shop without a face mask when there's no mask restrictions so I told her there's no restrictions so she started yelling and speaking there language. I'm not one liking to taste boogers in my meal. They should be closed.
Its ok. As stated below, nothing special. More traditional taste than the westernised version you may be accustomed to though (which I actually like). Would like to see the food prepared or served in front of you rather than it coming from the kitchen at the back. I like spicy food, but I ordered a mild masala. When I ate it, my snots were pouring out; It was so spicy!!! Not nice. Also, if you miss out on the lunch menu, its pretty pricey for the quality and taste.
I am a regular customer( orders twice a week atleast). Picked up chicken biryani and got sick next day (excessive amount of pepper (kaali mirch) Sore throat . Next pick up was after 2 days for Malai Kofta and same thing happened again, full of black pepper . Wife got sore throat and i got worst. My suggestion is to please please do not use garam masala and black pepper in every dish ( keep it to a limit). If its ordered as MILD please keep it mild, not hot.
We have ordered papri chaat, veg noodles and chicken biryani. Chicken biryani was soo horrible I thought nothing is so bad but they have outdid themselves with the noodles and then we had the chaat wow I don't know what it is but definitely not chaat. You know when something is very wrong or bad will be funny that's our feeling now we are not mad any more it's so funny how someone can make these work of art. Bravo
We decided to try this restaurant after it was recommended to us by a friend, and it definitely did not disappoint! The Chicken 65 and Paneer Chilli were the standout dishes for us, and we also enjoyed the Malai Kofta with Masala Kulcha. We can't wait to return and sample more items from the menu. Overall, we highly recommend this restaurant.

Just moved into the area for a house sit and found Aroma Indian Cuisine. Ordered the Lamb Rogan Josh, Veg Noodles, garlic Naan with coconut rice & onion Bhaji. Online. Best Indian food we've had in Melbourne. The delivery time was far better than quoted and a $6:00 delivery fee is negligible and worth every cent. Thank you to the Aroma Indian Cuisine team. We will definitely order again
Extremely average at best. All the dishes we have tried from here have been over powered by the taste and heat of raw chilli. Even when the dish isn't meant to be hot it can be unbearable. Indian food is meant to be fragrant and full of flavour, this is just raw chilli. 2 stars is generous to say the least.

We ordered two dishes today. Perfect taste. The servings are generous and the Roti and Naan breads are a satisfying size. The dishes from this restaurant are on the sweet side, which might be a cultural factor to do with the origin of the recipes. For a restaurant in the outer suburbs, the prices are high, but the food is impressive. It's worth it if you have the cash!
We tried the paranthas at this place. I wasn’t disappointed but it wasn’t an enlightening experience either. The taste was good but the overall experience was diminished because of the slow service and lack of seating indoors. It was freezing and we had to sit outside. The people are friendly and food fresh. I might even go back during warmer weather.
Rude staff !!being regular customer the lady today was super rude. she don't know how to greet customer. Other staff who are there were very humble but she treated like she don't like customer coming in such a worse expression and was kept textigm someone on her phone 5 may 23 around 7:45 pm.

The only thing I like from this place is the butter chicken, although this time instead of butter chicken they mistakenly gave me something else. They were kind enough to deliver my correct order. Probably they need to improve on these small mistakes. The butter chicken now needs a bit more improvement as they do not thoroughly remove excess fat.
I ordered through Menulog for the first time from this place, and everything tasted amazing. I always order the staple Butter Chicken when I get this cuisine, and this place cooked it perfectly. I could tell that they took care with cooking the food, as it really showed in the taste.

Moved into suburb recently..wanted something traditional so ordered Chicken Fried Rice & whole Tandoori Chicken. Lady on the phone was v patient and professional. Home delivered in exactly the same time as I was informed. Quite reasonable price. Generous quantity. Delicious food. Quite impressed with the experience.
Terrible customer service ever. The lady was extremely rude. The Food was horrible and tasteless. It was extremely dry and oily. My wife got sick just eating some of it. I Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. The reviews mentioned aren't honest and they could be Written by their family members and friends.
Putting a review now … I used to order a lot .. had 4 to 5 meals which were not good as expected.. last meal with chicken korma and butter chicken which had blunt taste only with cream with no spices and proper tadka .. garlic naan and roti were okay.. please bring the taste back to curries as it was before
Every time I ordered food and asked for keeping it mild or no chilli, I was never disappointed. Aroma’s food is very tasty and they look after their customers very well. My family lives Aroma

The consistency of this place is amazing. The only place in the northern part of Melbourne who never disappoint. Ordered a Prawn Goan Curry which is off the menu. One of the best ones I have ever had. Nom-Nom. Biryanis are ordinary though at this place. But curries are awesome.
Went for food pick up around 730pm. Sign on door says "No mask no entry" which i think is a great thing during pandemic. To my surprise there is a girl in the kitchen wearing no mask but talking & laughing over the food she is packing for customers. Health & safety compromised.
After giving five stars for the quality of the food, I placed another order, unfortunately this time the order was wrong, no big deal, I rang the restaurant to mention this and was hung up on two occasions by the female manager. Never again am I going to order from here again..
Beautiful meal. I can recommend Aroma to anyone that love to try Indian food. Great fast delivery service if needed asap, or can have a set time for home home delivery service. Which is great and handy especially for someone with disability like me can't get out and dine in.
Aroma Indian Cusine is one of the best Indian food outlet in Melbourne. If you are after quality food and a full range of Indian Cusine - it’s the best place to get some finger licking Indian food. I always had a decent experience at this place. Goat curry is my favourite.
The tall lady serving at the counter is not supposed to be there because she is very rude and doesn't know as to how to serve customers.,the food is ok but the lady is not ,she's like 2 face person who acts smart and friendly with white people and other races differently.
Ordered Chicken Korma, Malawi kofta and paneer labaddaar. Same sauce . Could not find any difference. All I could taste is cream, nothing else. Even the taste of all the dishes are same and below standard. Garlic naan is soaked in butter. Over all it is disappoinment.
We had food delivered promptly. They all had punchy flavours, portion sizes were solid & overall a reasonably priced dinner option!

I moved to Wollert a few months ago and thought i'd try Aroma Indian Cuisine. I tried the ~ Chicken Tika, and i couldn't believe it!! it tastes as good if not better than Gaylord's Chicken Tika..I now buy from there at least once a month, highly recommend.
Very good food, timely delivery and great service. I used to manage a few Indian restaurants in Melb city many years ago. We used to think it was authentic but this one takes it to the next level! Keep up the great service and excellent food! Cheers, RJ
This is the second time food has been substantially poor quality. Tandoori chicken was burnt and black. Garlic naan was too salty and burnt too. Malai Kofta was tasteless and lacked texture. We used to be regular to this place....I guess not anymore!

Ordered the butter chicken, chicken madras and the lamb korma and I must say they were amazing, the lamb was so tender and the chicken was not fatty like I have had in the past but the flavour of all dishes were on point and the service was
Great tasting food and reasonable prices, but they forgot an item I ordered which meant I had to return to the store after arriving home, which was fine, things happen, but then to say that 'it was in the bag' was pretty poor service.
The food was amazing, I ordered the lamb korma, butter chicken and chicken madras and nothing less then quality, the rating they have doesn’t reflect the quality of food you get.

The lady at the front (or aunty I should say) has extremely bad attitude. The last time she smiled was in 1965 (upon birth it seems). Always rude on the phone and in person. Hawa badi kharaab hai - in her native language.
The food here is always amazing. We have been taking out food from here since last 3 years and the quality is still the same. Chat papri and veg noodles are the best.

Unprofessional staff the men on the reception gave bad looks towards my family no stars at all need to improve professionalism personally I don’t care about the food but self respect and good customer service it’s meter.
This restraunt has written reviews clearly by themselves.... We were abit worried and confused with all the positive reviews but we'd thought we give it a go.... The food here is disgusting for indian food. Be aware
Aroma is by far the most consistent indian restaurant in the area. Their curries are absolutely delicious. And for me, the most important thing is consistent quality and taste. Best indian around Epping for sure.
I hardly review about food but I couldn’t stop myself to review this time there seekh kebab is worse so far I ever had and a girl who is on front she don’t know any thing about customer service very disappointed
They have the most delicious chilly chicken. Exactly how it should be. Many restaurants serve their own ridiculous version of chilli chicken loaded with actual chillies. Thanks aroma Indian. Totally loved it.
Very very average quality food. Double zero for customer service. Especially few females staff who are untrained and have no manners how to speak with customers. Will not recommend Aroma restaurant to anyone.
Absolutely horrendous food quality. Ordered chicken biryani but served salty rice with disgusting chicken. All curries taste the same irrespective of ordering different dishes. Will never order again. Never

One of my all time favourite places to order from. Their Seekh Kebabs are just amazing, so flavourful! And also you should try out the Indo-Chinese cuisines here! Good luck !
Can not say enough about these guys! Try the beef vindaloo with the garlic naan bread! Walk in and order take away works for me.. trust me though it is a damn good vindaloo!!
The lady is rude and if the main chef is not there you won't get anything all she says is that you won't get anything and when we picked up the food was disgusting n pathetic

Very bad experience bought a masala kulcha from door dash App Found a 10mm long plastic ( container plastic ) Inside the masala kulcha Luckily i saw that while eating
Nice food guys. Something different than other indian restaurants. Gravies are not same like many other do. Not big on spices and it tasted like home cooked curries..
Disastrous Garlic naan. Never ever had a garlic naan like this in my life. Garlic paste applied on a precooked Naan was Disastrous. DON'T EVER ORDER GARLIC NAAN
We had a wonderful time and food was very nice. We loved roti as there was no oil. Vegetable korma was so delicious so as the vegetable rice . Thank you team.
Ordered malai soy chaap and chicken briyani. There was no cream no sauce just boiled soy chaap. Chicken briyani had mint flavor nothing else..

Good customer service but the main thing TASTE missing here. Tried chicken curry & rice, not tasty at all. Menu items are also expensive. Meal deals are ok.
Ordered via Menulog and the restaurant cancelled my order without any explanation. Very disappointed and won't bother trying to order there again.
Liked the North indian food.. But Aloo paratha is below average, and onion pakoda was not fried properly inside in the center it was raw..
Garlic naans are too good, they remained soft even after 4 hours! The best part they do delivery too near you.
