Last week Wednesday afternoon, I wasted my time and money at the doctors. Everyday I wake up, I have runny nose, sneezing, coughing, watery eyes and aching body. I thought it might be allergies because it goes away as the day goes. But yesterday it didn’t. My partner was sick and has other viruses detected. (not mentioned in his PCRtest but not Covid)I tell the doctor this and she says “whatever my partner has I have it too”. This annoyed me! I requested for a test (I’m happy to pay)on what’s happening with me, what allergies I might have! As a kid I had peanut and seafood allergy and now gone. But the GP refused. You’re assuming things. Seriously GPs are getting useless these days, only there for med certs and money making. And probably why I had stopped going to this clinic in 2019. Don’t bloody respond “easy to discredit practice”because I wasn’t satisfied with the service. Listen to patients! I want a test and want to get it on my health record. Early this week went to my own doctor, given antibiotics for my coughing which had gone worse and getting more treatments done.

After disembarking from a cruising holiday, my husband needed an urgent medical follow up and assessment for a very serious and potentially life threatening condition. We didn’t know how serious it was at the time and we couldn’t get an appointment with our regular GP., from another medical centre, but Jaz and the team at the Ashgrove Clinic, listened to our plea for an appointment and immediately arranged for my husband to be seen by Dr Michael Naue. He assessed my husband and urged us to go immediately to Emergency at the RBWH for treatment. My hubby spent a very critical 24 hours receiving lifesaving treatment and is now well on the road to recovery. We are so very grateful for Dr Naue’s compassion and advice at our time of need. Doc, you saved my husband’s life! Thank-you from the bottom of our hearts, Dr Naue, Jaz and the team at the Ashgrove Clinic, for being there when we needed you most. We will be forever grateful .

Saw Dr Christine Martin for the first time today to inspect/treat what I believe is a Epidermoid Cyst (not that she helped to identify it). She seemed entirely uninterested and barely took a look at it longer than 10 seconds before declaring there was nothing she could do but antibiotics 'MIGHT' work and giving zero explanation to either of those points. Its doctors like this, handing them out willy-nilly that are contributing to the growing problem of antibiotic resistance in this country. I will certainly be getting a second opinion. On a positive note, my family has been going to this practice since I was a child, always seeing Dr Stephen Hughes. The practice staff are great, good service in front of house and Dr Hughes is very knowledgeable, informative and always happy to give you his time, attention and answer questions. Would give 5 stars for Hughes-y and the staff if it wasn't for Dr Martin.

If I could give 1/2 or zero stars I would. This practices reception staff are so frustrating and very difficult to deal with. My dealings with them make me feel like this clinic's No.1 focus is making money, which is very disappointing as a patient. They advise that you can request a script from the Clinic without seeing your usual Dr for $20 however could not advise how this was done. If you send an email, the front desk advises, this is NOT the way to get a script. The request doesn't even make it to your Dr for them to assess or respond to. If you ask in person, you get the run from the receptions who have no idea how to tell you how to request a script. They basically tell you need to see the Dr to determine if you can get a script over the phone. Absolutely ridiculous. This clinic has one major focus and it's to do with money. Very Very disappointing. Searching for a new Clinic...

Avoid! There is a reason the star ratings are so varied. Take note of how the practice manager responds to feedback "I acknowledge your concerns". There is no communication of care and concern to receive the feedback about the person's experience. Rather it's "speaking with the practice manager at the time may have alleviated your dissatisfaction". Yeah sure, very unlikely as it is one defense after another. Sometimes people need time to process their experiences before jumping to giving feedback. Also if you responded to feedback as information rather than reactively and defensively then maybe people would be less inclined to post online. I have seen several drs at this practice, some are good, but others are quick to label and prescribe without proper investigation. This clinic used to be the real deal when medicine was treated as a vocation by the older drs.

Extremely poor service, I attended the clinic with very severe injuries after being in a motor vehicle accident. I entered the Doctors room with no prior knowledge or consent of a student doctor being present and having to introduce myself to the student as the Dr had poor social skills. Second visit, I saw Michael Naue, who told me his time was "too important" to draft medical documents despite me drafting them for him and the insurance document stating "must be drafted by a GP". Throughout my two visits there was absolutely no empathy, so if you are expecting good helpful care and dont want to pay $150 for a quick visit, save yourself and look elsewhere.

Would rate it 0/5 if possible. Receptionist and Practice Manager both tried to blame Medicare for their restrictive and outdated telehealth policies that puts patients health at risk over "preference". If I had believed the information the Receptionist and the Practice Manager I would have not received care until October when I am able to do in-person appointments again. Thankfully, other practices are honest with their policies. Instead of throwing our health care system under the bus I wish they would take accountability and try to help people

The worst clinic I have been to. Opened up to the doctor about how I was feeling and without conducting a proper assessment she prescribed me very heavy drugs which I declined. I also had blood tests done and when I rang to see if they had come back, the receptionist said the doctor had a put a note on the tests saying nothing was of concern. I then requested a copy of the results and took it to another doctor who identified abnormalities in my bloods. Absolutely disgraceful service and zero care for patients!

My family have moved into the area and were looking for a new clinic. Ashgrove clinic is excellent. Firstly, the clinic is spotless and the reception and administrative staff are lovely. I made an appointment to see Dr Chantel Sabbadin. She is OUTSTANDING. What a fantastic, knowledgeable, and lovely woman. If you're looking for a female DR, GO, look no further. My son saw, Dr Johnson and thinks he's terrific. My whole family are in good hands. I highly recommend this clinic.

Just would like to say I couldn't recommend anywhere else to go. The ladies behind the counter are so well-mannered, polite, kind, friendly, and understanding. My doctor recently moved to this practice, and for me, it is worth the drive. All parties involved make you feel like part of their family instead of just a number coming through the door. Disgraceful service. Took no interest in the patient and decided to charge $120 out of the blue, with no prior mention of this.. no Medicare rebate was given. This is a disabled young man you should be ashamed of yourselves. If youvare no longer there to care for your patients, you should look for a new career. I'll be happy to share my experience to anyone who asks

Have visited this clinic since 2007, visited multiple Drs there and will not be going back. Dismissive of symptoms, don't follow up results (have had to call multiple times to be told "it's in the Drs inbox"). I also often receive the wrong script and then have to get the Pharmacist to ring the Dr to correct it. The receptionist's are the only useful people there!!

I walked away today feeling very dissatisfied with my experience. Felt like a number not a patient and really quite mortified. I got an injection I did not ask for and was told I could not have advice about a condition I did book for cos I was out of time. It was busy, and I am sure there were time pressures but it was poor form. I will not return.

The admin staff and doctors here are incredible! Make you feel so welcome, really put a smile on your face as soon as you walk in. The doctor I saw was amazing and very professional and thorough. Made me feel very comfortable during the consult and left feeling very well informed and confident. Best doctors I’ve been to in a LONG time!

Been seeing these doctors for years mainly Dr Madden - Happy with their service - I've been on a few pain meds lately and they've been really helpful in fitting me in and helping with scripts... all doctors offices get busy sometimes and I feel the reviewers on here are being a bit harsh

I like the Doctors and most of the staff are lovely but some can be a bit short at times and one gave me attitude when after waiting for 30 mins past my appointment time I had to leave to collect my child. Waiting room needs a TV that has something other than depressing health advice.
