Terrible!!!! Experience with Ashley Furniture edmonton. Do NOT shop there. We spent $2k on a new dining room table, 4 chairs and a bench. Got the stuff picked up a week later and took it all home to unbox it and put it all together. The table top is damaged beyond repair, 3/4 chair backers are damaged. 2 or 3 of the seat frames are cracked and damaged. 60% of the legs are dented and damaged. I would say, overall, 80% of the stuff is damaged. I called the warranty line and they said we have to submit claims via text message to Eva ( a text messaging warranty line ) which is absolutely rediculous. I had to submit the initial warranty claims 2x because they said they didn't receive it the first time. This process literally took hours as you have to submit new claims for every single piece, you have to write a detailed message and send pictures for every piece. After that, it was advised to also call the 1800 # to also tell a real life human about it... They did send us "new" replacement parts...and even these pieces were all damaged!! I've never seen or heard of such a thing! And never been more unsatisfied with new Furniture as I am now with Ashley Furniture. We are waiting for a repair man to come and repair our damaged table top ( and it's not even repairable, as far as I'm concerned! ) it's a 1 piece melamine sheet top and you can't just "repair" it. The corners are damaged, the side is damaged likely caused from a forklift or moving it around. There are chips and scrapes in the finish and gouged spots and they are refusing to send us a replacement table top. It's been 4 or 5 weeks now since we bought the junk and it's still sitting in boxes in our dining room, unable to use it because I want it all replaced. If we wanted to buy used, damaged furniture...we would have. But we decided to spend $2000 on NEW undamaged Furniture and that is the complete opposite of what we got. The warranty side of this company is a joke. I have multiple pictures to show all of the damaged pieces, as well as all of the saved text messages to Eva ( their warranty text message service ). We are pretty close to just packing it all up and returning all of it to Ashley Furniture and they say they will charge us a restocking fee if we do so. I will not be paying the fee. I do not recommend anyone to shop here. We 100% will NEVER be shopping at that store ever again. I'll be sharing this review on other websites until we are taken care of and until we are satisfied customers with our purchases. This is easily the worst experience we have ever had with buying new furniture. 100% DO NOT RECOMMEND shopping at Ashley Furniture. If I could give them a zero star review, I gladly would. My family and friends are boycotting this store as well. My parents also said they have had terrible service with Ashley Furniture a few years ago as well. This furniture is all manufactured in a 3rd world country in Vietnam, terrible quality control, bad packaging and dirty dusty furniture. Imagine having 3 young kids ( one is a 3 month old baby ), with friends and family coming to our house to stay and visit and having nowhere for them to sit and eat. Pretty embarrassing, to say the least. I'll be looking forward to seeing what they reply to this review. EDIT *** AUG 19TH, We cut our vacation trip to another province short and came home early to ensure the appointment with Ashley Furniture was available. They sent us a text notification the day before and made us verify that we will be home. We drove 15.5 hours home with 3 kids just to find out that they will not be coming for their scheduled appointment that we had made 2 weeks prior. They did not even bother to let us know or update us. Apparently their scheduler mixed up our file with someone else's and they also said that they thought it was supposed to be an in shop fix instead of an in home fix. Had the furniture for weeks now, in a pile in my dining room and unable to use it. This is seriously the worst experience and customer service that I have ever had.

We had a big order with Ashley (South Edmonton Common Location) that included Sofa, Chester, Dresser and other items and it was a material amount for a retail customer. Here are the reasons for the 2 stars: 1-There were delivery delays: Sales Order was dated 16th July, 2023. The first tranche was delivered in 4-5 days time approximately but the second tranche took forever to deliver (finally was delivered after escalation to the highest level) and there was ongoing confusion. Finally the second tranche was fully delivered on 12th August, 2023. 2-We had requested display items should not be delivered. In the second tranche Ashley delivered pre-assembled Chester/Dresser and so there was no way to confirm they were brand new pieces except verbal assurance. Per the response from Ashley Customer Service "When you get a white glove service – some of the items , specifically the items that are going to take hours to build in customer’s house are built a day prior in the warehouse and wrapped in the blanket as the drive team have the limited time in their day to complete all the stops in their day". We should have been explained this process better. 3-After we did the initial deal we realized a couple of items seemed bigger and this portion was undelivered; Ashley referred me to their 48 hour cancellation policy and were asked to pay re-stocking fee if I proceed with cancellation. I would have appreciated some flexibility since you took a month to deliver. Since we did not want to pay the cost so we were forced to take the delivery. 4-While dealing with various teams there was a complete lack of empathy and the resolution offered was completely one sided and there was no flexibility. This is my second major purchases with Ashley and our first experience was far better. I would probably think ten times before purchasing from Ashley unless there is no option available in the market. Thank you. Nick Ajmera

Warning: STAY FAR AWAY from this company. They are an absolute nightmare to deal with. I made the mistake of purchasing an expensive king bed from them, thinking it would be worry-free. However, it has been the complete opposite. From a defective headboard to missing hardware, it has been one problem after another. I had to wait two weeks for a technician to come in, only to find out that I needed to wait another two weeks for a replacement headboard. When it finally arrived, the technician managed to strip the screws, leaving me with a headache. And it doesn't end there. It has been three to four months of absolute chaos, and they still won't take the bed back or compensate me for their mess up. The cherry on top is that their so-called "compensation" is in their favor, as they only give gift cards. What a joke! Save yourself the trouble and go to a company like IKEA that has cheaper beds and a much better return policy. Ashley Furniture is not worth the headache, frustration, and money. Steps to HELL!!!! 1. Bought a expensive king bed thinking it would be worry free 2. it came with defected Headboard and half of the hardware 3. called in and waited 2 weeks for technician to come in 4. find out need to wait another 2 weeks for another headboard to come in. 5. Headboard comes in and technicians assembles it 6. I go through the screws and see that technicians strip screws 7. (more to come)

READ YOUR RETURN POLICY!!! I am very very unhappy and all my family and friends are now boycotting Ashley's. I got a 3 piece sectional, within 48 hrs of delivery and literally ripping my baseboards off the wall we called to return or exchange the couch. 10% of the cost of the couch to to EXCHANGE and 25% of the couch cost to return within a 48hrs of receiving the couch. Terrible return policy that will let you know quickly where you as a customer stand with them. To pay to return a couch within 48hrs of having its disrespectful and terrible business. **UPDATE** I have yet to receive a call back for the efforts I went through to exchange my couch. So by default and their lack of customer service I am now stuck with a couch to big for my house. I have also reached out to the copy and pasted response for poor reviews and I have not gotten a response back either. If you are wondering the store I purchased from it is the South Common store. If you buy anything from Ashley's you WILL be stuck with it like it or not, and you will have no customer service after so if you are considering getting the warranty (like I did), I would recommend against it as they have trash customer service. Here is to hoping I never have to use the warrenty.

Don't buy furniture from here, I received my sectional late and showed up with a stain, they promised 400$ off, it's been a fight and they make up excuses everytime. Didn't see any of the promised money yet, they keep telling me they will call me and get it dealt with but nothing happens. I was directed to the store manager from Rocky and she has been even worse to deal with hence she hasn't even contacted me or gave me a update. I was basically tricked into buying the extended warranty and when I wanted to cancel they told me excuses that it was a bundled price... I've never had such a bad experience buying anything in my life. Not to mention the 7800$ price for all the furniture and they are not willing to help me or give me answers at all. When I told them my sectional came with an stain on one of the cushions they tried to tell me to go through warranty??? Why wouldn't my couch just come brand new with no stains? Hence it being brand new lol. Avoid this place and goto Leon's or the brick. You've been warned, they don't care about there customers just the typical greasy salesman tactics! The fact this place has good reviews tells me that they are probably offering discounts for a good review lol

September 16 order couch, Wrong couch shows up September 28 same day, I call customer service, they tell me the store manager will call me 24-48 hours to fix, I get nothing. Sept 30 I go in store speak to sales person again, he says he will fix and I will have my couch October 6 the following Friday. He calls October 1 and says you need to call customer service again they need to put in the request. I call October 2 to customer service they say no, they will email the store manager and sales person on what they need to do and again I would get a call from the store manager in 24-48 hours with confirmation it’s fixed. Again nothing. My partner called the salesman October 6 and left a voicemail with no responses. We went in the store today, spoke with the shift manager and he said he texted the salesman and he would fix it in the morning, super dismissive. Then 20 minutes later the salesman calls my partner back and says he will fix it he never got anything from customer service and put in ‘and audit ticket’ and I should have a call the next day. He spoke with my partner again on Monday and I’m allegedly supposed to have a couch again tomorrow but still no confirmation.

Stay away go anywhere else besides the south Edmonton Common location especially! Purchased bed frame and mattress from Ashley store in South Edmonton Common. Bought bed on Labor Day weekend, frame as on back order till the delivery Dec 23. Waited months to have the delivery. They installed the bed frame and a day after it was wobbly feeling and after the second night sleep the front middle pegs all snapped and broke basically. I suspect the installation team did a poor job and the over tightening of the screws stripped the frame. Now we are left with a broken bed frame and a poor response from you client success team. Was told that I would have to pay 25% restocking fee to return this poor quality piece of garbage bed frame. They said they would contact us from a repair but still have not had an adequate response or anything. When you ask to speak to a store manager you just get told that they don’t take calls and know one is held accountable. I would never return again to buy here. Sales people don’t honor pricing originally presented and overall feel like you can easily be taken advantage of. I am extremely dissatisfied with the quality and service.

My Wife and I bought 4 beds from the South Common store, and spent almost $20,000. Upon the first delivery of 3 of the beds things didn't go quite as smoothly as they should've. pieces were missing, or didn't fit properly but the delivery guys were very courteous and professional. The original salesperson (Jacob) who had quit shortly before the delivery date had botched our order. However Vanpreet and Guru (who had taken over handling our order), were instrumental in making things right and smoothing out what was shaping up to be a nightmare. We are very happy with our beds, and also the sales staff who worked very hard to ensure the order was fixed, and finalized the order for the fourth bed. A 5th bed is now in the works of being finalized and possibly more furnishings to come in the near future. Thank you guys for your diligent professionalism and courtesy.

We purchased over $7k worth of stuff from Ashely’s and wanted to purchase more. However the lack of detail, lack of communication, and follow through on things said is subpar. Our bed came in damaged and we were told by the Manager, Bikram, that it will be replaced in 2 days. 2 days came, nothing. We texted him and ended up being ghosted. Bikram told us that he would include a free item because he messed up on the delivery and then we had boxes they were supposed left outside our new home for over a week. He didn’t delivery on that either. During the delivery, the guys left our BRAND NEW HOME damaged. Dragging things on the floor, hitting the walls, and hitting our post for our stairs. To this day, everything said wasn’t delivered and we are left unsatisfied. Our bed is still damaged. The worse $7k experience ever.

The worst experience. Bought a king size bed and didn’t got what we ordered and on top of that rubbish service thru sales representative Mr. Bhavesh Patel. They don’t give priority to the customers who bought the stuff and instead of that keep finding new customers. What we ordered was not delivered and when talked to guest care they said talk to store and when we talked with store representatives they say talk to guest care. That went for like almost a month. Never ever waste your hard earning money at this store. Didn’t even got refund for the slots which the delivery person already took back. Lame excuses were given by guest care as well by store. Would never recommend anyone to go there. Horrible people with garbage response. They don’t have any skills that how to maintain customer so they must come in future.

Reasonably good service; fair price; good quality sofa. However, good luck trying to get help if one of the pieces of furniture is delivered incomplete, as it was or case. The sofa we picked up was given to us without the legs. When I tried to get help directly from the store they sent me straight to one of those annoying automated phone services where is difficult to talk to someone. Once they sell you something, you’re in for a ride trying to solve something as simple as getting a missing piece. Be aware of this when purchasing here. By the way, I was reading similar reviews and I can see the store manager (or whoever is replying on Google) sends the same generic message to most complains (literally copy-paste). Mr./Mrs. Manager, don’t bother sending me the same text I’ve read on this page 16 times).

Looking at all these reviews looks promising. I bought my first couch with Ashley and was so excited. Bikram told me when things would be delivered. I bought the couch and ottoman as he said it would be delivered in three days. I waited for over a week and it was like pulling teeth to get it delivered. They filled out the form wrong in store for what I paid for and the delivery guys were going to leave it on my walkway to my house in the pouring rain. I had to go back to the store and ask for my ottoman because again I was told when it would be delivered and days went by with hearing nothing. It’s a beautiful couch set, but was it worth the frustration? No. I would not recommend this location to someone who is looking for honesty and transparency for when they will get the things they paid for.

I went to Ashley furniture to buy my bed, table and couch and rug upon delivery the table arrived ok, my bed and couch took 2 week to arrive, the delivery guy told me i needed a box spring for my bed something that the sales man Ram did not told me at the store, also they forgot to bring the rug, I went to the store and it was a waste of time i wanted to cancel the order for the rug and they told me to call the total free number, I called and they are making me wait until Monday do that today is Friday what a joke, I hate how you can't call directly to the store you made the purchased and cancel what ever you need to return, I am not satisfy with there costumer service at all. This are the companies that enjoy receiving your money but do not want to return it back if you are not satisfy.

When we arrived we were greeted by Punita. She made our shopping experience wonderful and helped us with the process of picking out our furnitures. I haven't experience great customer service like hers in awhile. She was patient, funny, and knowledgeable in what she does. Her attention to detail and going beyond to ensure that you are a happy customer even after you received your product makes us a forever client so long as she is still working there. I highly recommend her. Furthermore, our furniture was delivered safely and was put together by 3 gentlemen who was extremely respectful, and completed the job in a timely matter. Lastly beside there full range of beautiful well made furniture their customer care makes you feel safe to continue buying more products.

When I walked in the store, I saw people look at me and then turn away. It was at least 20 minutes before anyone came to ask me if I needed help. It was Moonica who asked even though she was with customers. She told me she would help me as soon as she finished with her customers. Once she was done, she gave me her undivided attention and spent at least two hours with me. She listened to what I wanted and was able to help me find exactly what I was looking for. Only for her, I would have left the store. In my opinion, Moonica is an exceptional sales person, who listens, cares and goes above and beyond to ensure her customers are happy. Thank you Moonica. You were amazing.

I very rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel the need to warn potential customers of the experience I had. I ordered bedroom furniture back in June, and only rectified the ordeal in October. The sales person did not put in for delivery as scheduled, and as such I missed a day of work as I had to reschedule. The deliverymen damaged a light fixture in the building and did not inform me of it. The furniture was damaged and I had to place multiple calls to customer care that they didn't return. Overall, the experience was atrocious, and from multiple departments. I won't be shopping with Ashley Furniture again and I have warmed my friends and family not to, either.

Ashley products and service both are terrible. I bought 6 chair and table from them . 1st they take forever to deliver then there installation team don't know what they doing . They did not install chair properly as i post in picture they never place screw in place. My father get injured when he try to sit on chair. When i complaint they don't even feel sorry for that and start blaming me check screw every month. Ever there customer service manager is so rude.i suffer lot due to this purchase. My father still visiting doctor for that injury . If you care about your love ones please think twice before purchase. Its my fist and last purchase from Ashley.

I highly recommend Ashley ! Starting for the store I picked up for my purchase the Manager Mohamed and the sales Representative Goldy both amazing customer services they take care about the customer satisfaction which is totally different when I was at The Brick —— Go to this place and you will find all your are looking for !!!5 starts . The quality product is incredible !! Delivery was fast and the delivery guys also. In fact the delivery was scheduled to come at 9:00 am and they arrived at 8:00am. So, words cannot explain my satisfaction!!! Sure I will buy again and again !! Thank you Ashley to be honest with the customers !!!!

I'm very disappointed with Ashley Store. I bought 2 sofas last year and the sales person advised me to buy THE EXTENDED WARRANTY to cover everything for 5 years. After 16 months the foam pressure reduced dramatically and it was uncomfortable to seat on. One of the cushions has a whole because of the bad fabric materials. I called the customers service to submit a claim since I'm still cover under the extended warranty. They told me that the warranty only cover me for 48 hours after the delivery!!!! They charge me $42 for a new fabric cover. Please stay away from Ashley and don't you ever buy their FAKE extended warranty. Thanks

STAY FAR AWAY....Worst experience ever...!!! No price matched to leons..! 150% lie for price match....!!! return policy was not disclosed initially, and when asked for price match denied the price match. did not accepted returns and said return window is 48 hours only. even if everything was still packed not accepting return at all. And even if they accept return in 48 hours its 25% deduction, do not get anything from them, the furniture is made in Vietnam, and packaging is a total mess with dust and Vietnam spiders inside furniture, scratches on the furniture with no cleaning before packing..

I would give 0 stars if I could. We originally purchased a sectional from this location and were told it would be delivered by the end of the week. We took time off work to assure we would be there for the delivery. Good thing I called to confirm a time as they told me delivery was not until 2 WEEKS later. We took the time off once again to be sure we were there for delivery only for them to once again push the delivery date back by another 2 weeks!! They tell you one thing and screw you around for weeks. We are still waiting on our sectional. NOT happy.

My Fiance FINALLY found a bed frame she was excited about. Sales associate was showing her frames and came across this one. The sales lady told her the price would be $699 with the 30% off. She said we would take it, then after the sales lady says "ooo this is the wrong bed pictured on there". This bed is actually $1100 with the 30% off discount. The sales lady went to speak with the manager and they would not sell the bed frame at the price it was advertised at and also the price she was told. Terrible customer service. Won't be back.

What an extremely disappointing experience with Ashley furniture on the south side. After driving 2 hours to pick up my order I got home and it was the wrong color. After days of phoning the store multiple times not once has anyone even answered the phone or called me back. The 1-800 number said they would send an urgent email to have the manager call me and that never happened either. Absolute horrible service after they got their money. I will always advise people to stay away from Ashley furniture going forward.

My boyfriend and I went in to buy a clearance couch that unfortunately sold before we could buy it. Jacob was able to find us a new one which we were more than happy with. He was very personable and easy to work with. He understood our needs and helped us get what we were looking for. I also liked that the sales people weren't following us around or trying to force us into buying something we didnt want. They all were friendly while being respectful. I'll be going to this location for my future furniture needs.

Nav was a pleasure to deal with and went above and beyond to make our shopping and our purchase enjoyable. However, white glove delivery was botched. I either had to get half of the order delivered, or wait almost two more months for the full delivery. So part of the order was delivered, and we still have to take an enclosed trailer to the city to pick up and assemble the rest. Disappointing. There was no attempt to refund any money to rectify the situation after spending a lot of money at this store.

Salesperson wasted more than 30 minutes of my time trying to convince me to purchase the warranty. Poor sales practice, quoted me a higher price than the advertised price - think she was banking on me not checking the flyer. Tried to do some suspicious sketchy, dishonest stuff to avoid doing negotiations with me. Did get the advertised price at the register (which was probably her plan) but lost 30 minutes of my life I will never get back. Lesson learned: know the price before going in.

The quality of the product seems to be nice however, do not trust the sales staff to help you and your delivery at all. I was promised that I would get my sectional delivered on the 10th but they did not schedule it so now I have to wait until the 15th. Of course no one bothered to tell me about this so I scheduled a day off to wait for the delivery truck and now they aren’t showing up so I find that to be rather unacceptable. Quite shameful really they don’t value your time at all.

HORRRRIBLE SERVICE, do not buy here!!! I bought nearly 2000 dollars on furniture and they scheduled my delivery and 45 mins before the were suppose to arrive… I received just a TEXT saying it got canceled with no reason at all!!! I called them to complain and with not even an apology they said they said they will call back. I haven’t heard from them! I had to cancel my plans for the day because they said it would arrive from 1-4 HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!!

Absolute worst customer service I've seen ever, will not address concerns. I bought a matress for $1575, it came with a big tear in it. I called and they agreed to return it.. months and tones of phone calls. There was finally a pick up date to exchange.. no one showed up.. long story short. It's been 1 year last month, phone calls apon phone calls and now apparently we're past our exchange date.. and refuse to resolve the issue.

Was the one at my brother's place when they delivered his furniture, as he was at work. I was there watching them look puzzled they didn't know how the sectional would fit together since they realized last minute the whole middle section was forgotten. Not to mention cushions delivered with a stain on it. My brother was given zero compensation and instead he's been completely ignored and treated with absolute negligence

Bhavesh was our sales rep. We certainly didn't make it easy for him so I appreciate his patience in dealing with us! He stayed about 30 mins past close the night we bought our couch. The delivery process was very easy and straightforward. We were given the white glove service. They showed up on time and within 30 minutes they unpackaged and assembled the couch. All around a good experience.

At first no sales associate came to assist but then the manager asked if we needed help. He got us a sales associate right away who then was so helpful and pleasant. Not pushy at all. The sales process was very smooth. There was a few week delay from expected delivery but we were informed and it was handled very well. The delivery was great as we could track when they would come and the delivery team was courteous and set everything up and cleaned everything. The room was completely ready with no mess when they completed.

My boyfriend and I just bought a couch from here and accidently recieved the wrong colour. Our sales rep punita was amazing to work with throughout the buying process and getting the couches exchanged. We will be getting our proper couch and having the other one removed with no extra charge.
