Went to the shop yesterday to lodge a passport application, was told that the photo was too small. I asked very especially what size it had to be and today I went to lodge and guess what.. too big! It wasn't the fact that it was too big that annoyed me, it was the fact that yesterday I was given the wrong information and it is a waste of time. Anil who is supposed to be the passport 'Expert' as the manager of the branch bill would described him, was misleading me all this time sending me away for wrong photo size again. Bill the manager who had little understanding of the situation just basically sent me away saying the photo size is wrong and he can't do anything about it. When I told my colleague about my experience someone told me that he had just lodge a passport application and was told to take the picture there which they charged almost $19 his photos to be done there. These photos cost less than $10 anywhere else. They use the excuse of wrong size to corner you to pay a ridiculous amount for little service, and that's of course after giving you the wrong information to start with. I would definitely not go there to be served by Anil, he is not productive, slow and gives out wrong information. Australia Post, I hope you are reading this feedback and put in appropriate measures to better the service. On the positive note, when I went back for the third time to lodge, the person who served me was extremely fast and efficient, she was very understanding and only took her less than 2 minutes to process the application while my first and second experience was over 10 mins.
Am not one to want to give a bad review but I have been to this post office plenty of times, it lacks in parking, the shop is usually always busy. These things don’t really bother me, what I always experience is sub par and quite dissimissive customer service, they treat you like you are a criminal for simply sending/picking up parcels and wanting information/updates on services you have signed up for. There is one lady in particular (I think most reviewers here probably know who she is based on similar experiences) who doesn’t give you your parcel or service if your ID is not 100% on par with her, even if you have multiple ID proof. It’s understandable that rules and regulations are in place for this business but the communication and rudenes when they bark down these policies to customers could be miles more professional and understanding. Im not sure they would like to see improvement in their customer service based on their poor attitude. Performance review is really needed. Avoid this post office if possible, you will walk out unsatisfied and will not have your service met.
Being a very short walk from Blacktown Station, this post office gets some points for accessibility for commuters - however, with limited parking nearby in what is an extremely busy shopping district, those driving in will find it hard to find a park, and may have to resort in parking at the nearby Westpoint mall to gain access. Complicating things further is the fact that because of the lack of pick up points or a parcel drop locker, those wishing to claim packages outside of the shop's business hours have to resort to attempting to gain access to the back area of the store where the post boxes are, and manually requesting for the parcel. During regular hours only 1-2 of the 4 total counters in the store are in use - this is alleviated by their use of a single-queue system, but this still means that as one of two primary post offices for the Blacktown area, you can expect this shop to have a line of customers waiting to be served.
Worst place and customer service is just awful. had to pick up passports for my 3 months old kid. Went to service counter , showed her my Id , address proof, Medicare and card from Australia post that was sent out to me in mail. Lady at reception was not satisfied and kept asking me to provide another proof and kept arguing. later manager also joined her to make things worse. finally I had to walk out ....... It was not just me there was another customer struggling to convince my question is why I have to go and pick up mail from post office in person, when I have paid $20.00 postal charges when I applied for passport. It should get delivered to my address and postman can confirm identity of person receiving; face to face at residence at time of delivery. I would highly recommend people to avoid this place and raise voice against collection from the post office when we have already paid for the service....
I had to go up to the post office twice in one week to receive two seperate parcels I had missed. Twice I had the same lady and twice the service was appalling she was on the phone talking about her daughter being unwell and having to go home from school while I stood at the front of the line waiting patiently and the second day the same lady left me waiting again but decided to go in the back and talk to a co-worker. It was extremely frustrating and rude as I was coming from work and didn’t want to be waiting as long as I did. There was no apology for leaving me there whilst being on the phone. She looked at me with disgust like I was an inconvenience for her and interrupted her more important conversation. Mind you the other ladies I have found helpful in the past and kind, fast paced but not this lady. She shouldn’t be working with customers or any type of customer service.
This place does not even deserve a star at all. The customer service is abysmal and disgusting. The staff have no people skills whatsoever and should not even be in this job. The mannerism of one lady in particular, is appalling and a disgrace to the changes Australia Post have made to their other stores. There is not enough words to describe how bad it is to visit this post office. The staff just want to site the rules and inconvenience you with no help, decency or common courtesy. In no way do they help you, but rather go on a power trip and making a point of it and belittling the customer, making them feel stupid because they may not have followed the process 100% accurately. Having rules is understandable but it's the way you handle them and communicate them to the client/customer that makes a difference.
I picked up a parcel at Australia Post Main Street Blacktown branch after receiving a parcel notice in my mail box. There were limits to only 4 customers inside the store at any given time so the que was alittle long when l lined up. I would say it took me about 10 to 15 minutes wait to be able to enter the store. I was the 3rd in line inside the store. The staff were courteous and quickly provided services required by its customers. I waited for about 3 minutes before it was my turn to be served. For me it was a good service for the 3 Australia Post staff on duty at that time l needed to pickup. I bought a product online and was delivered by a courier to my residence but l was not home so the courier deposited my purchased product to the Australia Post shop at the Main Street Blacktown branch.
Couriers constantly not knocking, leaving notes quickly to save their time. Not sure if this is to get people to have to come in and create a long queue at the office just to collect parcels meant to be delivered to them (it would probably sell more stuff at the shop). If Australia Post doesn't tighten up their policies for delivery they will be superceded by a better solution that is convenient and efficient for the customer. If you want to keep your jobs and the company alive, I suggest management do something other than divert our complaints online. We may not have other choices now, but look at the taxi and food delivery industry replaced by Uber? Evolve or be phased out. Do you think that you can continue this way? Not for long. Lovely staff, till they up their attitude in defence.
I went to collect my parcel which I bought online from guess website ! And lady was arguing about my address as it was not same as on my photo id ! I gave her my passport but she was never satisfied !the only way she told me to get my parcel was to get my address changed first and I didnt wanted to change that bevause I am a overseas visitor ! And my permanent address on my photo id is of my sister , so all my documents and statements gies to my sister adress which is on my photo id aswell but I live on diffrent adress and keeps changing it so I never want to chnge my sisters adress from my photo id !I explained it but she was not satisfied Later I made a authority letter and asked my husband to pickup
Australia post, particularly the post shop on Main Street Blacktown has got to be the worst organisation I have ever had to deal with. I received a parcel pickup notice to collect from the store (just a booody SIM card for Christ sake) upon collection (long wait) they tell me they cannot find my parcel, take my details tell me they’ll ring if they find out. 4 days later still no answer, no direct contact line to phone shop. Have to sit on hold for over half an hour to speak to a human. Still no direct phone line, still sitting on hold whilst my human phones them and asks what’s the go. Still cannot he found.
It's a shame people with no customer service attitude want to be doing the same just for the heck of it.They claim to have rules for asking additional documents to issue passports and openly blame the passport office and it's email showing of what is required, with no empathy that it's your 3rd visit to the center. Relief is there is one individual who has still got some values of customer service such as smile and cheerfulness and of course does not hesitate to apologize for some discomfort to customers.
I ordered some small rubber suction cups for a glass table from Amazon as during my recent move they fell out, the lady kept on arguing with me over my ID, I didn't have the address changed as I had just moved a few days ago, i only had few days left to pick up the item and had absolutely no time to change my details. In the end I let the suction cups go, my table is still unsecured. I have never ever had that kind of experience at a post shop.
I found Megan at the inbound call centre to be exreemly rude, arrogant and had no interested in providing good customer service. She was dishonest several times with me on the phone and did not want to even put me through to get manager. I can't understand why someone would choose to work in customer service if they do not value customers. They should employ people who are commited to delivering the best customer service
I went to this place to pick up a parcel.the person serving me went inside to get me the item, but while looking for the item she (the CEO) decided to have a chat with another post office officer and simply forget about me. Another officer noticed me waiting and had to complete the other's job. Many thanks to this lady for walking the extra mile by showing how much she cares. We need more people like that!
If there is an option for 0 or negative review. I would prefer to give them negative review. Less than 0. Staff is rude all the time and when we raise any issue theh just said go online and complain. Really very bad experience. And always we pay for the home delivery. And we always have to collect by ourselves. Doesn't matter we are at home or not. Their supplier will always drop the card in mail box.
The ladies working in customer service need to learn what that is. 4 times in one day I had to attend because I knew my parcels were there. It took the 3 of them half looking around not caring. What do you know, my parcels were right at front with my name written across in large writing. The whole time they were rude and trying to palm me off, even though I had my collection ticket! Absolute joke.
Deserves zero stars... the attitude and tone of one of the ladies is disgusting, shouldn't be doing customer service at all. Talks as if u r some dirt. Seeing all the below reviews i feel everyone is talking about this lady. Definitely needs to lose her job. (Probably put there by centrelink cause she couldn't find another job anywhere).
Most atrocious Australia post in Australia, had a parcel apparently delivered to my house, I left instructions to leave near the front door but the genius from Australia post took my item back to Australia post in Blacktown but didn't tell me. Most pathetic service I have seen, only oxygen thieves work for Australia post. Bluggers....
Worst customer service.... went there to pick up my parcel on saturday... with my I'd and original name change certificate. Parcel was on old name. Gave her my Medicare, bank card. License but no she won't give it to me.. she said come back on Monday. Why would I have Monday off for a parcel.. all staff very rude. Racist. .
Staff(including supervisor) working there are just rude, arrogant and unskillful, Australia Post should really look into their quality control about the staff they are employing. I just wonder how such whole bunch of rude and ill mannered people got into Australia post. Did they ever understand what is customer service?
Some of the staff are so rude. When I asked for cheaper package options, one of the staff gave me wrong information. She actually advised me to get a big box for packaging which I realised was the most expensive option after all! I would never go to this post office again, they show no interest to help you.
I'm sure there must be good reason for staff to refuse to give parcel to customers. No proper docs why should they release. This is my best Post Office for me. EVERY MEMBER OF THE TEAM is a pleasure to deal with. They follow rules to keep us safe and our parcels secured. What's wrong with that.
Staff are somtimes friendly, sometimes not. My PO box continues to get flooded with mail that does not belong to me or anyone else i share the PO Box with. Some of their staff speak too quietly for anyone to hear them, especially the hard of hearing. Not altogether bad but not the best
Best post office by far! I used to live in the area but moved several suburbs away but still use this post office as my parcel collect. My local PO aren't as friendly and had misplaced my parcel. But these incredible ladies at Blacktown never let me down. Keep up the good work!
Lazy people working there. They only open 9-5 on weekdays and closed on weekends. Every Friday they close at 4.45 pm. Customers have to take day off or leave early from work to get their parcels. Some days the close early without any notice. Worst post office ever!
Just read the reviews. I must b a lucky one as found the staff friendly and helpful and always found parking. I enjoy looking at all the items for sale. I have bought quite a few gifts there. I find it easier to get to than the one in the mall.
Package of high value “mysteriously “ went missing No Track no answers just a excuses The workers steal packages from customers and anything of value always goes missing Pathetic incompetent service with constant lies
Worst customer service. Rude people and ney sayers all the time. EFPOST never works and closing business before time. Thinks like they are running a country.. Never ever recommend this post ofice to any one.
This post office is in a really bad spot with barely any parking. With no weekend trade and closing at 5pm it makes it very hard for 9-5 weekday workers to get to. Even on a Thursday they are closed at 5.
I am glad this store closed, the young Manager was so arrogant and always had arguments with customers, very defensive n bullying behaviour. Australia Post should have sacked him long ago.
Prescriptions I've posted from this post office have gone missing a couple of times now. Either the prescriptions were lost during the process or being targeted intentionally. Avoid.
Waited 40 minutes at the passport applications/identity services queue to get passport photos... left afterward and got it taken somewhere else.. a freaking joke of a place
Poor service, after waiting a while in queue, lady said you need an appointment to apply for passport. Nothing mention anywhere on there website for passport appointments.
IM SO SORRY, my medical weed stank out the shop while it sat there over the weekend. I had no idea how bad it was till i was trapped in my car with it. Good gear tho.
Terrible service from staff, been 5 times for Child’s passport and every time a different drama, they feel pride in annoying customers, camera is not working etc etc
Very poor service. One of whom was very racist and not helpful at all. Should not be serving as customer service. She made it very hard just to send a simple parcle.
Absolutely 0 rating if I ever could. These women have them jobs too easy; sheepdogs everyone out at 5:09 because they were slow and couldn’t clear the queue. Worst.
I took my passport photos here and they were rejected. Do not go to this post office for passport photos. They had one job and they couldn't get it right.
What a joke these guys are. Very rude If anyone wants to hold up a shop and point a gun to their heads. Please choose Aust post blacktown
Bad service, was told the postal manager "didn't want to" certify documents, despite it being a paid service that post offices provide.
Most of the posts are not delivered to home and always going to the post office to collect it like Click and collect. Not very happy.
Terrible position! No parking. Also a little scary as a lot it sketchy looking people hang around there. Hate going there !
One of the best Australia Posts i have visited. All the ladies there have been very helpful everytime i have been there.
Paid a few bills there and found them friendly enough to deal with, unlike a few other reviewers experiences.
Those ladies on the counter are rude, they needed to be re-trained and learn how to show respect to people.
Opened late. Rude and unhelpful staff. Didn't know how to process basic forms. Needs a redo this joint.
I gave the staff $130 to put into my load and go card but she only put $30 And kept the $100
Poor customer service and bad attitude of the staff including manager. Not helpful at all.
Please advise customers that Yoyr counter to get a tax file number closes at 12.00!!
Good post office shop a small shop but staff is very fast and friendly and helpful.
Where do i even start!!! This is halarious they have no idea what they are doing
Never had any real issues but the service isn’t spectacular either for 5 stars.
Staff are friendly and helpful. Always a smooth and fast transaction with them.
My package was taken to this post office and it isn’t even open on weekends
Terrible service, extremely rude staff, would not recommend to ANYONE!
The shop said close at 5 we went there 4:50 already shut the door ?
They should be serving better...Poor CS and lack of responsibility.
Worst service. Lose your $500 parcel and cant do anything about it
The staff there are always very helpful and patient!
