I called the phone number attached to this business 3 times to avoid leaving my home during the COVID-19 outbreak, each time it rings out to an unprofessional voicemail of static. I go in 10 minutes later to see 3 staff members sitting around talking. When i advise the of their phone number not working they said "during this time we don't answer the phone call the customer support line if you have questions" what ever that is supposed to mean. I called it to show them while i was there and heard no ringing. He then proceeded to talk over me and berate me infront of other people in the shop which had then become busy. Now more than ever this post office should be answering the phone avoid people leaving isolation unnecessarily like i did when the answer is a quick yes or no. They proceeded to take my drivers license without gloves. Their willful laziness and general lack of customer service is putting public health at risk.

Auspost East Brisbane calls today to ask if we can pick up the delivery they failed to deliver. (like they do with every delivery. Why is it that Australia Post doesn’t deliver but just leaves a note in the mailbox, even if someone is home!!!? they don’t even attempt anymore. Just put the note in the mailbox, even though there is a doorbell RIGHT NEXT TO THE MAILBOX. Then they have the nerve to call and ask if we can pick it up from the post office as they have too many parcels there. Terrible service... why pay for delivery if they don’t deliver? Amazon or any other delivery service stop and ring the bell and “DELIVER” the parcel. Unless you are sitting on a chair outside, next to the mailbox for days waiting for the delivery, you won't get it.

I am fed up with this service. I deliberately had this sent to my work address - instead of my home address because i DONT have time to go and pick up parcels. SO WHY DO YOU NOT DELIVER!!! You just take it straight to the local post office. I have a receptionist who said no one has attempted delivery. There is always someone available and we have a delivery zone which fits multiple cars out the front so it's pure laziness. This is the second time this has happened so this postal driver needs a talking to. Also my workplace has a po box redirect so it shouldn't be going to east brisbane LPO anyway, it should go to Fortitude valley and then at least someone would collect this for me. What a joke, Disgusting service.

Received a message that my parcel was delivered to this post office and that I had two weeks to collect. After only a few days and having to go during lunch at work due to the opening hours - I found they had returned the parcel to sender. This was an urgent delivery for which I paid express delivery for. Instead of holding onto the parcel for a few days in line with Australia Post's text message they sent it back across several states. The lack of common sense is incredible. The situation could have been avoided either by phoning me as my number was linked to the delivery, or by simply doing nothing. Very unhappy with the service.

Terrible opening hours make it impossible to collect parcels if you work. If you redirect to another post office that is actually open outside of 9-5 m-f, auspost charge you over $7 for each parcel. If you contact aus post they are unhelpful and just repeat genetic statements at you. If you try to use a parcel locker as an alternative, they’ll still take it to this post office and accuse you of redirecting it there (even with screenshots showing the parcel locker was selected). If you live in this area, recommend using an alternative courier / delivery service even if it’s more expensive - it’ll ultimately save you time and money .

This is an edited review. I love this post office, the guys are helpful & lovely, the new location is easily accessible and its in a brand new suite. I say edited because I had a very different review after 1 of my visits 12months ago (Good to remember we all have bad days). 12 months later, my experiences with these guys have totally changed in such a positive way. Worst postal service ever. How can a post office only be open Mon-Fri 9-5 in 2019. Really helpful for anyone who actually has a job. Its amazing that every package I have ever had go through here has never been able to be delivered. When every other company somehow manages to. Anyone would think they dont bother. Anyway, back to my review. Never answer phone, rude people. Problem is you cant avoid them and they know it so they dont intend to improve.

I am putting in this review as I agree with Jessica.. This is a no frills post office and doesn't pretend to be anything else.. I go there when my parcels are sent there , despite my instructions to have them left at my door, so I am always a bit grumpy seeing that online shopping always means a trip to the post office. I have always found the men to be efficient. They cope well with the rude and sometimes racist people served before me.

Why are the delivery drivers so lazy? 4 times in a month they have not attempted to deliver my parcel, on 2 occasions not even a pick up card was left. I had to call and find out if it was there. Like all you have to do is push an intercom button. Most people are home because of covid19. I have seen with my own eyes drivers just put a card in a letter box and not even bother opening the van to get the package.

I’ve been going to this post office and interacting with the twins who own it for over 6 years - they are always super respectful, friendly and knowledgeable. For the people complaining about 9-5 hours, if you just looked to the right of the shop you would see that they allow early pick up, so just stop in on your way to work or get a free parcel locker if it bothers you so much.

On the phone right now trying to contact these people re my parcel. They refuse to pick up. No other means of communication. What happens to my parcel now?? Please open on a weekend for a couple of hours. TO AUSTRALIA POST: if this franchise refuses to open weekends then please consider the Gabba PO as a drop off point. My address is Kangaroo Point so still within the area.

It has been a difficult year for you guys. I can't speak for others but my interaction with you guys in the last 2 years has been outstanding. You are always professional and efficient and I have always been greeted with a big smile with all staff when I go in there, no matter how busy you are. Useless. I redirected 2 parcels here to make it more convenient. It did the opposite, they almost returned one back to sender, lost the other and claimed it was in Transit for 2 days, until I rocked up and made them look for it, only to hand me a parcel that looked like it was trampled in a stampede, needless to say my item was damaged and didn't work.

Found a reminder, went to urgent stage , wasn't aware, immediately tried to call this post office.... @ 20mins to 5pm ........................................................................3 times I rang..........nothing. thanks. i needed to make sure this wasn't returned to sender and due to time could only call. thanks for not picking up.

Extremely poor service. Said they were open and when I arrived they were closed. When ever I’ve tried to call they don’t answer. Uncomfortable feeling every time I go in, usually some very elderly man standing behind the counter doing nothing staring at every customer whilst a young man with poor customer service serves. I have had nothing but exceptional service here. Never experienced any rudeness. I have seen them in action when it’s busy and they treat people with respect and are always helpful. Polite and efficient when in the store in my experience of picking up multiple parcels. However, 1 star for not being open on weekends or outside of business hours (9-5) and for never answering a phone call in over 1 year to inquire about left parcels or having a message service. Just don't have a phone number in that case.

Absolutely the worst customer service ever. Very dismissive. Repeatedly walked away while mid-question. Run by two ignorant asian men Ken and Lou who convienently feign the inability to speak english when confronted with a difficult question.. Who ever delivers parcels is so lazy, I’ve had multiple parcels from this post office with no attempt at delivery. They just take them back to base. This post office isn’t even open Saturday’s to collect the parcels. At least send them to Woolloongabba which is open on a Saturday. Horrible service!!

As they only operate 9-5 Mon - Fri, It is very difficult to use this Post Office if you work full time hours. Other then opening hours, they will also not answer calls. Suggestion: Open for 2 hours on a weekend, or late one night per week so more residents can access the services.

The two fellas working here are legends! They always take really good care of all my parcels, and promptly answer to either calls or quick collection visits! They know a lot about how their system work, and are able to advise you when sending parcels within Australia or overseas.

Honestly an utter joke of a post office, avoid at all costs. Go to another one, any one: they never have stock always long waits, no car parks. Literally every aspect from service to efficiency to stock control is utterly unpredictable, unprepared and unprofessional.

Erratic hours (have been to post items at 4pm on week days to find store closed), don't answer the phone (couldn't attend due to isolation and didn't want packages returned), send reminders to collect items that have been collected days

I have had a couple of items to be dropped at the door , and after waiting majority of the day , find a parcel card placed in my letter box and not delivered to my door as instructed . Not a great service at the Manila st Post Office .

Only open 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday and closed on the weekends. Which gives no time for people who also work at those times to pick up parcels. Very unreasonable. One day of early morning or late evening pickup is all that is required.

Terrible hours....closes early through the week and not open on Saturday mornings. Set the local post office for your address to the one in Wooloongabba if you live in the area...more accessible for mail collection, if needed.

They never deliver my orders, they always say that there is no one at home, even though there is always reception available in the building. And the service at the unit is very bad, they are not at all friendly and helpful.

They staff could do with smiling now and then, and can be pretty blunt and not overly helpful. Pretty much a useable service, but I’d recommend going to Woolloongabba LPO in Gabba Central far above this LPO.

By seeing all those review, I was not sure if it would be a good idea to go there. However, I still post a package and the two guys are professional and are, in my point of view, not the worst.

They are good and diligent people. They work from 7AM to 5Pm. I'm very pleased with the customer service. Only downsize is limited parking spaces but I understand that is beyond their control.

Never deliver parcels even when someone is home to collect. Have had items go missing or returned. They don't even bother leaving sorry we missed you cards. Horrendous opening hours.

I needed $20 worth of 10c or 20c stamps. They had none, so I had to drive to New Farm LPO. Just not good enough given Austpost is a monopoly and I can't buy stamps elsewhere.

They don't smile much but the brothers are helpful and super good at what they do. I like them. The shop is new and clean. Great little place and adds well to the community.

It's a functional, no-frills post office. I like the two guys who work here and I never have to wait very long. They also have tons of PO boxes if you need them.
