Eltham Post Office staff are friendly and professional. They are seriously let down by AustPost corporate acting as gatekeepers by blocking an expected quick call with a 131318 phone number. It is frustrating to be told there is a twenty minute wait just to find whether or not a phone number will be provided. I can understand why there is a recorded message on the 131318 phone number warning about antisocial behaviour towards Post Office staff with this system in place. Don't AustPost corporate realise this practice is directly contributing to customers' frustration and to likely hostile remarks? First lessons in Business 101, without customers there is no business.

This post office is amazing!! I got a docket in my letter box to pick up a package. I live in South Morang and the post driver put the wrong docket in my post box. The beautiful staff members went above and beyond to help me, the lady serving me even gave my baby a gift from the counter and payed for it out of her own pocket(beautiful person). Can't say the same about south Morang post office who didn't even offer an apology to me, even when I said to the young girl an apology would be nice. She just smiled and laughed

The staff is what makes this place really special. I did my daughters passport application here (and let me tell you passport applicaitons are not fun processes at the best of times). The attention to detail and diligence they possessed was amazing. I walked out with a smile on my dial. They work together as a team and treat the locals like family. A post office I will visit and recommend always. Keep up the awesome work Eltham Post office:)

What a pleasant experience!! Could not be happier with the service, the kindness and the sympathy that all staff showed me on my very sad day. Sandy went above and beyond to make my day better and the other girls (Especially Hayley) were on par! So glad I skipped the cold hearted rude service in Greensborough and followed my heart (and my GPS) to find this lovely branch. Keep up with the good work!

The staff work in Eltham post office don't have the same standard for assessing passport application. I have visited there so many times for one passport application, they always reject it due to various reasons. The ridiculous thing is each staff's excuses are totally different every time. Really confusing. I wish they get further training regarding customer service and passport application processing.

If you leave in Greensborough save your time and head straight to Eltham's post office. If in the Greensborough PO they mistreat you and it feels like you are bothering them, at Eltham's they are kind, welcome you with a smile and are always willing to help. I had a fantatsic experience here. Came in with two young kids and needed to have passport photos taken and fill out a bunch of paperwork. The staff were amazing and my enquiry was dealt with in detail. I felt listened to and helped. I was surprised and delighted because post offices aren't generally known for their speed or enthusiasm. Glad to see the trend change!

Honestly the worst post office I have ever used. Terrible service, genuinely could not care less about you. If you work full time they make it as hard as possible for you to collect, they will lock you out before their close time. I honestly do not understand how anyone can give them a 5 star. Everyone I know in the area has the same problem with them.

This has to be the worst place for service. I live in Eltham but choose to have my parcel locker at briar hill post office. Sometimes I can't avoid going to Eltham PO. Each time I am in there there's always something. Today's it's one of the counter staff chatting about some private social stuff when there were half a dozen people in the queue.

unfortunately this place consistantly has staff that are not very friendly at all.... to my understanding this store is not a franchise but run directly by aust post... please aust post pay some attention to the feedback on this place... I'm sure there are people out there that would love to work here that don't have a poor attitude

One of the staff disrespected an elderly resident of Eltham today. Not only did she describe his residence status and describe where he came from but also discussed his business publicly. It was an abrogation of his privacy and demonstrated her utter intolerance for someone who needs our compassion and support.

Your options with this post office are: Get all your mail delivered to work Take time off work to collect a parcel Every other post office around the area is open for saturday collections, but because you're in the catchment of this one your mail has to go here. Better off if it closed down.

It’s unacceptable for a Post Office to not be open at all on a weekend. It’s discriminatory to those who work full time during the week and are unable to take time off to collect parcels during the week. Appalled that they can’t staff the Post Office for at least a few hours on a Saturday morning.

The customer service is excellent at this post office. I went there to ask how to apply for my new passport with the different names after getting married today. The ladies are so patient to help me ring and check if I filled in the correct information. Awesome work ladies, keep doing this. :)

May I say for the people that work in this post office they are very helpful in every way, and I have in the entire time that I have used them they been polite and we'll mannered and always willing to advise and help in every situation. Many thanks every one for your superb service.

I dread going into this post office. The staff are always 'snippy' and abrupt and seem to want to be ANYWHERE else but there. I've lived in the area for 8+ yrs and I can't recall ever having a pleasant experience. Perhaps they need some further training in customer service!

We all know that the negative reviewers are really just, negative! Every time I visit my local Eltham post office I’m greeted with a friendly smile and my requirements are quickly and easily met. The ladies should be congratulated for providing such a positive experience!

Grown up in Eltham and the staff have always been fantastic! They helped me through all the trouble of getting a passport and continue to recognise me and say hello every time I pick up a package or anything. Great people and really helpful!!!

Visited this Post Office today. The staff were smiling and friendly. Questions were answered politely and the advice given was beneficial to me. Can only say this is the best post office I have been in - but I'm biased as it's my local PO

Very friendly staff. The only thing is it’s not open on regular hours as the other post offices. Closed on Saturdays and some other hours that I go and see it’s closed. There’s no other post offices around. So it’s a bit annoying

I don't live in Eltham and on on the off chance popped in to get a Working with Children photos done for my application on-line. I would like to graciously thank the member of staff that helped me. The application was accepted.

Apparently "Express Post" between capital cities is now an "Expected three days, but no guarantees" and street boxes are only collected Monday to Friday. Waste of money and time buying Express Post service.

This is by far the best post office I've been to. The always offer cheaper packaging and ways to avoid costs even after the item is already packaged. A lady today saved about 10 dollars while I was in line.

Recently applied for passports for the family. Sandy went above and beyond to help. Sandy and Kellie are always friendly, efficient and cheerful. It's a shame it doesn't open Saturday mornings.

Just a very unpleasant experience, lived here for 24 years and couldn't understand why the woman was so truly condescending to me, hadn't seen her before and will not see her again.

Delivered parcels to the wrong address several times. Then I wait on hold on the phone for over an hour listening to bots trying to find out where my parcel is. No thanks. Pathetic.

I like how you can buy all kinds of things at the post office now, I bought a cold pillow pad and it's wonderful, you can't find them anywhere else

Nothing bad to say about them really. Closes early-ish on weekdays which makes parcel pickup difficult, but is now open a few hours on Saturday.

Very annoying that this post office is once again closed on a Saturday. Some of us work all week and only have Saturday’s to collect parcels.
