Coronation St is the closest Post Office to us so we use them for convenience, but we are nearly always disappointed. Last week I took my passport application and I missed a number on one of my documents so, fair enough, I had to come back with a new application. I returned a few days later and they had to take photocopies - I was informed that their copy machine was "on the blink" - I could go to the newsagency and pay for my copies. Considering they have to take the copies themselves, I was disappointed that they asked me to go PAY for copies, and come back for a third time. The following week I went to the post office in Westfield where I was met with much better customer service. They informed me that the number I missed on the first document shouldn't have been a problem; they could have just written the proper number at the bottom of the application. I was also assured that it isn't my responsibility to get the copies, nor should I be asked to pay to get it done at a different place when it's needed for the post office. I don't think I'll be visiting Coronation Street Post Office anymore - their service is exceptionally slow even when there is no one in there, and I was disappointed that I needed to visit on three separate occasions to submit one application.

Today was my first visit to hornsby post office, and it was a wonderful experience. I arrived right at open, and Ildi greeted me at the door with a smile and a pleasant 'good morning'. Ildi went to get my package from the back room, and brought the large box out on a trolley (because it would be easier for me to pick up). Ildi offered to open the door so I could exit more easily. I utilise Auspost's services daily (at a variety of post offices), so I interact with many Auspost staff. I feel that Ildi was the most friendly, cheerful and helpful person with whom I have dealt. She is truly a star of Auspost in general, and especially of Hornsby Post Office.

Avoid the passport application interview here. The photo taken at another post office refused to process the application documents, arguing that the background colour of the photo was a bit dark. They can't believe the pictures taken at the other post offices, so it seemed like they wanted to get them to take new pictures after all. At another post office(not where the photo was taken) during the interview about the application documents, the photo was processed without any issue. Don't waste your time and do it elsewhere. It's good for your mental health.

The staff in this post office are the most friendliest group of people. I went for a passport application with some issues on my writing. They were very kind to assist on what I should do. They even rang the passport office to check if the issues are minimal and can be ignored. A couple of customers came by while I was there and they treated everyone the same way. Smiling, having fun and I can see the customers love coming here.

Customer service can be good, is often not. Opening hours of 9-5 are pretty pointless for the majority of us, especially since you're not open on weekends or late on Thursdays. I was home when I was supposedly "missed". If you're not even going to bother trying to deliver the package just say so, don't lie.

They tend to run on their own times since covid, seriously if it says 5pm close then why do they lock the door at 4.50pm? Have been here twice in three days and can only get here at this time for delivered parcels as having a post box was also a non event and closed 5 to 10 minutes before advertised.

Very bad service, went there twice and they kept saying your parcel is at another shop in Hornsby. Finally when I went there and said I am certain that my parcel is here they went and had a good look and said b/c it was big and at the back they missed it!!! So much for costumer service!!!!

Staff are helpful and have a great sense of humour. Understand that peeps have good and bad days. I got them on a good day I suppose. They made my day and went out of their way to grab me a few more radio control cars on sale from the storeroom. Thank you …

Staff are not only extremely friendly, but very helpful too. Turning up ten minutes before they close, staff helped package and sort out everything super quickly. Would recommend this post office over the one in Westfield for the great service.

Terrible, waited 10 minutes AFTER 9 and the door still hadn't unlocked. Until the lady came to the door and told us it would be another 15 minutes till they OPEN? I WAS SHOCKED. Thats 30 minutes after opening. Terrible. Go to normanhurst.

Very poor service, bubbly and chatty staff, but they couldn't find a 50x50 cm package for three consecutive days, here's their answer after I got my express package the third day " suppose it came from overseas"

Really friendly and helpful staff, even better now that they have a Parcel Locker. I think the people complaining here just don't understand the logistics of how a courier outfit is operated.

I can't say I've had a positive experience here yet; hopefully that changes in the future. Somewhat rude staff on the first visit and unexpectedly closed during lunch hours on the second.

Nice people in the retail shop but save your money on a Post Box address here - the store is randomly closed at various times & various whole days making picking up of parcels difficult.

Ladies are helpful but if I get another letter for the Hornsby hospital I will requesting that posties get their eyes checked. Seriously, this needs to be improved!!

The guy at auspost is lazy and do not care about the safety of registered post. Despite the hefty charges he is unhelpful to customers with his lazy attitude

One thing guarenteed, they will deliver cards to collect even when you are home, never deliver the goods.
