My wallet has been stolen with all photo IDs in it. In order to get new photo ID I had to apply for a citizenship certificate through department of home affairs which has been sent to my address. I wasn't home so received the red card for collection in the mail and tried to collect my certificate from the post office in Manly today and presented heaps of documents with my name and residential address, Medicare card, health consession card with signature on it etc. Nothing has been accepted by the older bald man behind the counter. Now it gets sent back to Home Affairs and I have to wait at least another 2 or 3 weeks to sort this out. Why does the official AUSPOST homepage say Suitable forms of identification Alternatively to Photo ID such an Australian driver’s license, passport or Digital iD you can present one of each of the following at a Post Office: - A document with your name and Australian residential address, or - A document with your signature, such as a student card or Statutory Declaration I presented multiple documents of both of these. Incredibly frustrating!
Absolutely shocking customer service topped off by poor management. Came in to return two packages and followed their instructions on site. Waited in line for 30mins, only to be told they can't accept the returns. I requested to speak to the supervisor to get some more details so I could fix the issue. He came over and simply told me "I was wrong", to which I interjected to ask what I needed to do next, only for him to raise his hand saying to stop me saying "I'm still talking." After he explained I was wrong again and made no effort to point me in the right direction, he left and I was forced to let the next person in line go.
When this PO closed they would not update anyone what was happening for so many months. We have many elderly in the community that rely on physically doing things at a post office and this made things really difficult for them. The lack of information for so long is not good enough. I couldn’t find any info online (which should be done) but there are now signs here at the post office if you walk here. So I’m posting it here to help others.
The Australia Post delivery staff is useless and incredibly frustrating. For the past year, they do not even try to deliver items at my place (where I wait around all day long for the delivery guy to show up) instead dropping up the parcels directly at the post office. I then go on to receive a notification, always after 5pm that I need to go pick it up. I pay for items to be delivered at my place, not at the post office!
I'm writing this review as I'm waiting in line and have time to kill. I also hope it helps to make positive changes to this Post office. There. Is ALWAYS a line, expect to wait at least 10 min, there is no air con or fan, people in the line are sweating and getting frustrated.it feels like a temporary post office. Please do better, I feel sorry for the staff who must see the anger and stress in customer faces.
Would rate 0 stars if I could - they moved our parcel around from place to place for 1 week with little notice. Finally went to pick it up during their limited hours, taking an hour out of work, and they wouldn't give me the parcel without physically printing the form - despite having ID and the correct documents - which meant I had to go on a 30 min round trip to the library.
The new office is a shadow of the former place. Not only it's really tiny and queues build up pretty quickly but it blatantly discriminates people who rely on cash, which in some cases are more vulnerable people like elders. Shame on you.
There is a young guy working there. I came in to buy an express satchel and he had a very bad attitude about it for something so simple.
Good service but much smaller and NO gift sales range as in previous shop. Now only basic postal service
Small post office but has parcel lockers and staff are friendly and helpful
