Same comment as many others re pathetic Matraville area post delivery for packages requiring signature. 2 August 2022, Driver to Little Bay didn't even wait for one second after ringing the door bell (quickly taking a photo to prove he "tried"). However the door was deliberately left open (with screen door locked ) so there was obviously someone home but he/she just left without calling out / trying to get the attention of the occupant. My elderly mother (recipient of letter) heard the bell but by the time she walked from back of house to the front door he/she had gone (with the letter). The notice in the post box saying that collection is now at Matraville Post Shop was delivered by post the next day (rather than trying to deliver the actual item!) I paid for Express priority registered mail! Now my 85 year old mother is worried and stressed about how she is going to get to the Matraville in the next 5 days and not catch covid etc etc. Thankfully we have friendly neighbors to assist. Absolute disgrace Aust Post. Think about your customers please! Probably just a scam to make people come to the "Post Shop" so they can entice you to buy all the non post office stuff they seem to flog! Just do what we paid for please!

I can not thank the staff at Matraville Post enough. The lines are massive down into TK Maxx, they’re copping abuse left right and center from customers who don’t understand the simple action of bringing ID to pick up a package. The shocking swearing from male customers I’ve seen multiple times, these staff members really handle themselves well but it worries me that there’s no security for such a shifty area. Every time it looks like there isn’t enough support or staff and they’re doing their best but sometimes unfortunately due to circumstances and lengthy transactions sometimes the lines build. This seems like head office being unorganized issue. As most large companies I guess. Thank you Patty Siri and Bek for always keeping cool calm and collected and assisting me any way you can. Always polite, prompt and with a smile. Your service is appreciated and so sorry for all the nastiness I see every time I come in from other customers. You guys are amazing!!! Customers need to be more understanding and supportive!!!!

The staff is very Rude, they dont have patience and not helpful at all. I asked for my carpet which arrived there, by showing the code on my phone, they ignored the code.. then asked my name, I showed an ID card, so they asked where I live and I just started to say and they asked in the mid time which number ??? Which unit ??? And I asked her can she be a little bit more patient and nice pls ? Then she went back to bring my stuff, she took something and put it in my hand, here you are and then waiting for the next..so I realized that's not what I was looking for, I showed again the code on my phone and then they checked by code and found it.. really is that so hard ? And is it hard to smile ? To be friendly in your job ? You dont have patient in a post office ? How can you hire this type of people to work with people ? :( very disappointing. I think In all Australia only here I felt that I am not at home, that somebody unfriendly because I am from different country .

Every time there is a delivery, the driver doesn’t even bother to buzz. Am ordering the things online to reduce covid exposure and to stay safe as we have a baby at home. They ignore whole covid situation since the beginning of pandemic and make people to come to the post office. Dear Australian Post, it is really challenging for me to go anywhere with fussy cranky baby, not speaking how not covid-safe it is. This is why i order things online and pay additionally for the delivery! And then not receiving it due to your absolute ignorance and poor service.

I felt the need to take this time and make the effort to thank the lovely lady Patty who served me the other day. I was unsure of what to do with a particular form and although it was busy, she took the time and explained it all to me to make sure it was all done correctly. It was unfortunate to see how some impatient people took their frustrations out on the staff who handled it well also. I felt bad for the abuse the staff member copped. Big thanks again to Patty and team. Lovely and genuine people like you need more recognition

Went there maybe 4 times to collect a parcel that was clearly stated that it had been delivered to the post office, the staff are incompetent, you have to educate them on their own job. It took a long time just for them to understand that the parcel was actually there. But this didn't happen just once it happened 3 times, and it's almost like you have to argue with them to search properly for the parcel as they don't know what's going on. Bad experience. Please hire people with normal IQ levels.

In store staff are pretty good. The parcel delivery drivers however are absolutely PATHETIC! As almost everyone says, they don't even bother ringing the doorbell despite someone being home. They just shove a card under the door and shoot through. So, we (the customer) are paying a fee for a service we don't receive! If the average person did this, we'd be locked up for theft and/or fraud. Australia Post, you are worse than pond scum! LIFT. YOUR. GAME! Where's the 'no star' option

Early Postal parcel pick up was closed, as well as closed during lunch time 12 - 1:30pm. Auspost need to have Saturdays opened here, including early parcel pickup, they need to realise that people have full time work 9am to 5pm (plus commute times) Monday to Friday. Its very poor taste from Auspost that this is still an issue. Staff here are lovely and put up with alot from customers. Just disappointed in operating hours from Auspost.

Suppose to have a delivery today and they didn’t even bother to attempt delivery - sent it straight to the post office for collection, no calling card and only knew once my tracking updated. I also work from home so know they didn’t even try. Any other delivery company other than Aus post is fine but have never had a delivery once from Aus Post in my 7+ years. It’s a KNOWN issue but they won’t attempt to resolve it.

do they even read reviews? aupost matraville delivery person should be taken off his contract to deliver parcel. there are million other people out there who would gladly take their position. -ring the bell and wait atleast 2mins then you can leave i understand there are other items to deliver but ringing bell ONLY then leaving after 2 seconds doesn’t mean delivering

I attempted to visit this post office for my passport application. It shows the post office is in the mall but its actually on the main road but the instructions within the mall to get to the pain office are HORRENDOUS there are no arrows to say where to go. Wasted so much time looking fornit in my lunch break that I had to go back to work.

This is generally a very busy post office. I have found the staff to be extremely helpful especially when needing help on how to post parcels the most efficient way. They work very quickly. Some customers however need to have a bit more patience and not be so rude to the staff.

The customer service here is appalling. I work with companies who send me PR and one forgot to attach the address and the lady was so rude, I was just trying to get out of there because my son was upset. I understand it’s a busy time of year but you work in customer service.

Extremely frustrated by the incompetency of Auspost and the staff that sent my package away after I received a notice to pick it up from this post office. I have been told today 3 days later they are sending it back to sender. What a shambles of a service

The most arrogant staff you will ever meet. I had a simple mistake with a parcel and was treated worse that a mongrel dog. If it wasn't for the one and only lovely staff member there and helped me I'd probably lost my parcel. One star is one to many

Rebecca the "Supervisor" is more interested in arguing and being weirdly defensive instead of helping to solve problems. Stay away from this shop.

The people that work at this post office in south point are hard work and always very professional. I am grateful for all their hard work

Been there a couple of times now. The staff there have been helpful every time. Much better than the staff at Kingsford post office.

Came at midday to avoid the 4:30 rush and found 1 poor lady working on her own with a line out the door. Not good enough
