Was told by my new employer to nominate a post office to get a PO Box at and set my "Parcel collect" address to that same nominated post office. I unfortunately chose this particular post office...they asked me to go there personally to confirm on the availability of post boxes....So I went there....asked the question..."Do you guys have PO Boxes here available for hire?"...and the girl there was quite unsure about the whole thing but said yes....I felt her doubt...so I repeated the question and I said I won't be applying for it today but my company will do that for me so they needed to confirm on their availability....just to give her more clues about what I'm talking about....and again...she said yes we do...and being the OCD that I am....I asked again for the third time...."So definitely I should let my company know that it will be alright to set up the PO Box through you guys..."...and again she said yes... A week later after confirming with all the departments that my parcel collect address will be that specific post office and I had the PO Box application ready and signed by a couple of people but I had a meeting in Sydney for 3 days....so I couldn't go back there to submit the form....and when I made it there...gave them the form that says that they should give me the key for the PO Box and have it set up for me through the company's AUPOST account...they stared at the form for few minutes trying to understand what is written there..."same girl that served me before"...and then...the other lady was like....we don't have PO Boxes here....!!!!!!....So I was like...your friend there a week ago said you do...so she asked her and....interestingly enough she said yes "AGAIN"...so the other lady was like...no she doesn't know...."basically doesn't know what she's saying"....and sorry.... I'm not a hard person...and this review isn't there to cause any trouble to anyone....but I just hate that someone else would go through this same awful experience....now I have to keep my fingers crossed that no parcels were sent to that post office already and have to restart the whole process from scratch again....as well as letting the whole company know that I'm an idiot cuz the place that said they had PO Boxes....turned out that it didnt... I'm an immigrant as well....and my English isn't that perfect....and I worked in retail....and basically....if you don't understand a customer inquiry....you gotta ask them to explain it more....or you gotta say that I didn't understand....not be like..."Yes...yes...yes"....this is really the most stupid thing ever a person can do in a retail industry....and as I said....I'm not being hard....but this kinda performance should definitely be addressed....

I went to Preston Lower PO, which I have been to numerous times before as it is the closest post office to home, yesterday to post approx 25 large format padded envelopes containing 'Vote Yes' t-shirts (these were made as part of the 'Yes' campaign for marriage equality in Australia). Each envelope also had a large 'Vote Yes' sticker on the front. The female Australia Post employee serving me saw the stickers and commented that she was intending to vote no. As someone in a deeply committed, long-term, same-sex relationship with a 6 month old son, I took deep offence to her expressing an opinion on my mail in this way. She is entitled to her personal beliefs and opinions and, like all of us, readily able to express these in whatever way she desires in private, but in a professional context this was completely unacceptable, ESPECIALLY when Australia Post are at the helm of administering this wretched 'survey' and the public, regardless of their personal stance, are relying steadfastly on their operational integrity. As per the attached screenshot from Australia Post's 'Our Ethics' manifesto, I hope this employee is swiftly made aware that what she did was very wrong and that no other unassuming member of the public patronising this post office has to deal with having a commentary made about their mail.

Really poor customer service from an assistant at the counter today. At 3.20pm, I went to submit a passport application. Since I didn't have a driver's licence, I included a valid university ID. She was adamant that I was incorrect and needed two guarantor signed photos to proceed. When I asked for clarification on where this was stated on the website or application, she insisted I call APIS. Called APIS and spoke to a helpful agent who advised that the assistant's information was incorrect and I was fine to submit my passport application with the documents I possessed. Phone call took 20 minutes, so at 3.40pm I went to the counter to submit my passport again and advised the assistant APIS' advice. The assistant walked into the back of house area without addressing me and said that my passport has missed the 4pm cut-off (at 3.40, ok??) and it would have to be processed tomorrow. With her unhelpful attitude and flippant disregard for her store's customer experience, I left unhappy with how she approached my concerns. I believe she needs to be better informed on the process, if not, try and resolve it with the customer to get repeat business because I do not trust someone with her attitude to process my identification documents. Awful, never going back.

Exceptionally poor customer service and unprofessional behaviour. Female worker continually tired to overcharge me for a service which was clear online as to what the service would cost. She had already taken paper work (quiet quickly) and made photocopies of passport and licence initially and refused to charge me the appropriate price as stated on Australia Post website. Then called her boss to finally state they don’t provide that particular service, despite being listed as an authorised post office for said service. When questioning worker about price and rationale, she then proceeded to state her camera wasn’t working despite having taken documents and proceeding to lodge paper work online. Maybe staying that in the first place would have been appropriate. Did not observe worker checking camera at all. Then when questioning camera, female worker refused any kind of service or assistance. Complaint and investigation made that day to Australia Post. Inappropriate behaviour, overcharging and very unfriendly/unprofessional service. I believe this had not been the first instance for this post office. Potential scam alert raised to Australia Post. Extremely disappointed in the treatment I received. Please avoid.

Came in to collect a parcel that wasnt at that post office but was at a nearby one on Murray Rd. Some confusion with pick up address as i misread details. Brunette staff impatiently asked if i was going to pay for bills as there was a guy waiting behind me. Bad customer service , unfriendly staff. Never going back there again!!

Constantly one of the worst post office experiences, lengthy wait times, staff not able to find my parcel (and being told to come back another day) or only being given some not all of my packages etc. I would avoid if possible.
