If I could give 0 stars I would!!!! I've been to this post office on many occasions and the customer service is appalling. I've never seen such rude and careless staff. Yesterday's trip to this post office I've decided was my last, I'll take my business to another Aus Post even if it is out of my way. Just over a week ago I also saw what I could only describe as racism. A man who looked of middle eastern descent was being treated rudely and abruptly by a woman behind the counter who i've seen working in the post office regularly (Indian i think i say this not to be racist but so that if AusPost decide to investigate they might be able to narrow down the employees) The middle eastern man started to question the woman's behavior but she did not improve and the conversation got heated. A much older man, a supervisor or manager came out and before asking what the problem was came straight to the counter and started yelling abuse at the man saying he was at fault and that he is a known issue at the store. The man seemed shocked by this and asked what for and how. The old man then took the middle eastern customer out back and continued to tell the customer off. I saw and heard the man provide Drivers license ID and a Aus post notification saying he had a parcel to pickup when he first approached the counter. They told him he couldn't have it. I don't know what the staff's issue was. That is how I pickup all my packages. The package was there and they handed it to him when he left. Everyone in the store was uncomfortable during this situation which was poorly managed by your staff who have no customer service skills!!!!

This review is for the female Manager/supervisor of south Asian background short and black long hair. Nepalese / Indian. I came in here a month ago trying to collect my package, but I didn't any have ID on me at the time because I had lost my wallet that had my driver's license at the time. I explained to the reason and I tried to show her photos of my Passport on my phone and and i tried to show her my bank card that has my name on it and also medicare card she was completely rude about it and didn't want to accept anything i showed her and didn't want to listen to what I say. I walked away and went back trying to see if someone else could help me but she told the other staff not to serve me, it was so rude and awkward because for me and the other Male staff who just wanted to help me out, I asked him is there any other forms of ID with photos I could use? He kindly explained what they were so I got them I came back in a few weeks later and was in line , this other customer she served also had no ID on him but had a photo ID copy on his phone, she gladly accepted that maybe because she was flirting with him because he was tall blonde and she looked like she had googly eyes for him! If you're the manager maybe following your procedures! And not pick and choose who can collect their parcels! You look like a married woman maybe stay professional

I've had decent customer service in the post office itself, and if not for my other experience I would give you 5 stars. One of your delivery drivers does not leave red contact cards for parcels. I can see from the other reviews here I'm not the only one who has had that experience. It is not the responsibility of the general public to make sure your delivery drivers are doing their jobs properly. I heard one of your staff say to an elderly woman who had the same problem "I don't know why they don't leave a card." Well, I don't either. But you should, because it's your service that's responsible for the behaviour. If you do nothing to stop it, then you are allowing it, and that is as unacceptable as the behaviour itself. I feared eventually you would lose one of my parcels because of this and now that has happened. I'm very disappointed. I guess your delivery driver got what they wanted though, because they won't be handling my parcels anymore. I'm going to have to get my books/online shopping delivered to my family on the Central Coast, because your service is unreliable. It's very sad that this is the experience so many people are having at our local post office, and in the middle of the city too!

This post office was quite rude. I ordered stuffs online and I wasn’t at home while they delivered the parcel on 17th March. I came back and saw the notice to pick up parcel and I wasn’t noice the date they will return parcel to the sender. Today 19th March I went to Darlinghurst post office to pick up. The officer told me it was return back to the sender. And I was shocked because it was only 2 days. He said it was told on the paper I have to pick up before 8th March. Seriously? You only give 1 day to pick up and the. The Indian guy told me I had to pick up as soon as possible ( excuse me , you only give me one day of chance to pick up ). Then I showed them I was got message to pick up parcel before 1st April. They found 2 parcels. The first one was the one they said it was returned and the other one was from another tracking number. I just realised that it was another order from FlyBuys. Which I ordered two items and that was two items under same tracking number. He gave me only one. Then I have to walk back again to,pick up another one. This is showed the ability on their work and their service mind to people. I was so upset and would like to share to public how bad service they are

Awesome service by all staff. Reading some of these comments I’m appalled. The expectations of some of you customers is shocking. Expecting staff to address your parcels for you? Seriously! I’ve been a customer in this store for a while and have seen the way the people treat the staff, I’m totally shocked! We are in a society where if you don’t get your own way you scream and shout and look like twits, but then you blame the staff! Just remember the staff has been trained in their job, and their concern is you get YOUR parcel and not mis delivered by the staff. Bring your ID, be polite, and act human not a bunch of screaming banshees. The staff has your best interest, if they can’t process your applications LISTEN to why and it’s up to you to correct it, don’t just choose to hear certain things then blame the staff. The staff at Darlinghurst is so professional and is a delight to shop here, I apologise that the customers (my neighbours) feel they have the rite to scream at you, point fingers and behave badly. Thank you Tony, Francis, Nina, Fiona, Andy, Winston, Elva, Stephen, Lisa (omg was great to see you after many years and you still remembered me)

I have so many poor experiences with this post office I don't even know where to begin. The staff give wrong information and they are rude. I can also confirm this is not exclusively related the impact of COVID. I will acknowledge there are issues with the actual delivery service that adds complexity to their roles; however, that is a part of the job. Your ability to help with correct information is kind of essential. Sending people on wild goose chases for packages and telling them they are wrong is probably not up there with good customer service. Been trying for years to stop having my packages come here but time and time again...right back they go. Please Auspost - add 24/7 lock boxes in potts Point. I can't keep going through the stress of visiting the Darlighurst location.

In two years I have never received a delivery to my house. Its easy to stop at the front without requiring parking. A call, text or email saying: We couldn't be bothered with the delivery would be much appreciated. Twice I've received the red card saying to pick your parcels or they would get sent back, I understand that would have been a huge effort, so thank you and please print yourselves a certificate on my behalf. It is obvious the delivery person or contractor doesn't want their job, so fire him, there's plenty of people right now that would appreciate a job. Alternatively charge half the price for your services as you only do half a job.

Today I went to collect a parcel and there was a grey hair, thin old guy absolutely disrespectful to me and not even helpful at all, there were some parcel issues not even difficult. The one star was for the kind helpful Indian guy who later served me with responsibility and respect, good job! I’ve seen other bad comments about the same old guy, Darlinghurst shop, please do something,because you are old does not equal to bad service to customers, if you don’t wanna work go home enjoy your pension, not being a clown and ruin the post office’s reputation.

My review pertains to postal shop itself. I've always had excellent service there. Nothing is too hard and they are both friendly and helpful. They've always had the parcel that they indicated they had received. I think people believe that the parcel delivery team is the same as the postal shop team. They're not the same and inevitably the system sometimes breaks down. I would never blame the shop staff for a parcel that may not have found its way to the post office in the time frame left on the card.

I get anxiety going to this post office due to the terrible customer service by someone who works here who has without a doubt, every time made me feel like I'm an inconvenience. But, today I was served by a lovely staff member by the name of Andrew who loves his job, is calm, happy and helps where he can. This has changed my experience and I hope management can assess their staff's service and general attitude in this post office and reward people like Andrew for being calm and happy to help.

This is the APO i frequent because our parcels get sent here... Nothing special here, but I found a old friend that works here, and it is welcoming to here more often. The staff are nice, and the shop is relatively organised and clean. The queue time is relatively short, other customers are friendly and easy to chat to, while in line. There is a park nearby, a few places with drinks and food around here. Not in the best spot in city, and plenty alternatives offices in city for APO.

It’s a shame I had to leave a one star review as there are three people there who always give great service, but unfortunately the younger staff members never handle the queues well and are inconsistent in asking for ID. Whenever the three great team members are missing this post shop falls apart and it’s a tedious experience collecting packages, which is extra annoying as packages are often taken to the post shop when I’m home as they don’t bother stopping.

Today I’ve visited Australian post to get my parcel. The Asian guy who work there is super super rude to me. I just wanna share my feeling that I don’t feel impressed with his altitude. The word came out of my mouth was so polite and in a proper tone but he was so grumpy to me. I can’t accept that I hope I wouldn’t see him again. Never wanna talk to this kind of person if I don’t have go get my parcel. P.s it was 9:00 o’clock in the morning.

Ridiculous customer service... I've been chasing a parcel for work since Monday which is supposedly waiting for collection at the Darlinghurst office - they are somehow unable to locate it and have offered no further assistance in the matter. Rude and unhelpful staff, long wait times, several missing parcels and posties who don't knock or leave a contact card for collection. All up a terrible experience with the local post office

Nothing special, and nothing to complain about. Service is average, not rude but not too friendly either. Covenient access from Museum station. Have only used their Po box service for last 3 years, with at least 1-3 wrong addressed letters got jammed into my po box, and lately the box door got stuck and became really hard to open so I just canceled the whole service and moved to other PO. All process done efficiently, so all good.

Where can I complain about your post office service? I have been tracking my package, and it shows that I should be able to receive my package at home tomorrow, but today I have put the self-collection card into the mailbox of my home address. At the post office, the staff has put the self-pickup card in my mailbox one day early, and the package has not been delivered to my house at all. It's so hateful for your post office...

All Australian Post staff can sign Statutory Declarations. Yet, the INDIAN middle-aged Iady working there refused & said "No, we don't do that.", which I knew was wrong as it clearly states on the Stat Dec form that they CAN do it. So, I asked to speak to the Manager - the European Accented guy. He said "Yes, we can do that" and just did it. Beware the Indians working there who have no clue!

If i had the chance to give 0 star, I would. Incompetent and unhelpful staff. The rude Frenchman did not even try to help me. Opening time is inconciderate for worker like us and believe that we would pick up parcel during holiday time. They sent the parcel back on the 3rd of January while i was on holiday. Give people a chance to pick up their parcel for god sake. What a shame.

Darlinghurst Australia Post has the worst staff with the worst customer service.. No communication of when there is a parcel to pick up with notice cards rarely left and lost 4 parcels to date in the last 9 months so far and no accountability on their part. Trying to run a business and dealing with them is near impossible

I know this isn’t this sites fault but 3rd time item was not delivered and no delivery note left. Item taken immediately to post office for collection without notice and now returned to sender as I did not know item was delivered. This is annoying and makes me never want to get anything delivered by post

Friendly and informative service. Passport renewal process was almost smooth, staff was informative, helpful and decisive. Come in at the right time and almost no queue. Come at the wrong time, the queue will cost you your time. Two entrances, pass the concierge and there's also a back door access.

They never delivery to my apartment even though every other courier manages to and I work from home! Post office staff are lovely but there is always queues for miles and it’s so difficult to get to as there’s no parking and it’s a 30 minute walk from my address.

Called the service centre to see if my parcel was in, this branch refused to check the back to see if it was there citing their reason as being too busy. I was forced to go in only to find it had been returned. Poor service, poor attitudes, poor communication.

Take a compass. If you have not located the post office in one hour call in SAS. The post office e is located no where near the street sign.. it is in the main office building around a corner. No sign to indicate its existence.

Nice post office. Queues move pretty fast. There's a collection window outside either through the shop or around the side of the building so check if that's open first for collection so you don't waste your time.

They don't have the self service booths yet however there is usually 2 to 3 counters actively serving during the lunch time rush. I pay most of my bills here fortnightly.
