My search for an honest and reliable mechanic has ended when I met Joe, the owner of this car shop. If you're one of those always anxious about taking your car to the car shop of fear of being ripped off I couldn't recommend you enough to give this guy a ring. I'm myself quite knowledgeable in car mechanic and after chatting with Joe I can tell you that he knows his stuff (things I can't say for all mechanics I came across unfortunately). I also much appreciated how diligent Joe was. Usually it's the customer who will want to have everyone written down and quoted before to start any work to avoid ending up charged extra for parts you didn't ask to be replaced. Well in this case it's Joe who insisted to have everything on paper (email) nice and clear, no bad surprises. And finally hits hourly rates are the cheapest I've come across to in Sydney. Unsure if I can quote his hourly rates here but I can tell you it's 2.5 cheaper than Audi and more affordable than some other independent repair shops. On top of all this, the service was just great, Joe took on his time to chat with me, ask about the history of my car, explain what exactly the service covered etc which made me confortable leaving my car to his care where in other places you simply feel like another customers. I highly recommend!

Joe, owner of Automoto, is the absolute best mechanic that has ever taken care of my cars. Not only is he honest and reliable but he really cares about service. No pun intended. If I call to say something is sounding off or doesn't feel right he's genuinely interested to find the cause. He doesn't charge an arm and a leg. He doesn't treat me like an idiot because I don't understand cars. Nor does he rip me off simply cos I'm a female. He'll tell me what needs fixing, what can be put off until later and only changes what is necessary. He's upfront with the costs and now he also takes care of my partners car too who used to take his car to the dealership but quickly learnt that Joe and William do a better job! Seriously if you need your car serviced, repaired, pink slips you need to go here. Even if it means travelling over the bridge, if you want your car looked after go here.

I highly recommend Joe to all potential customers. He went above and beyond to operate around my work schedule, contacted me prior to commencing any work, he was knowledgeable in his justification and upfront with all costings. Unfortunately due to the nature of a service, I inspected my car only after work was done - which led to identifying a scratch (largely possible due to daily travel, not service). When I approached the subject with Joe he was incredibly understanding and performed some phenomenal restorative work not only to the identified area, but to the interior and exterior on his own merit. Joe & Chris are fantastic Mechanics. Each time i have a problem they repair it in quick time and for a Reasonable price. Whatever the issue may be they always find a solution. In relation to my photos, Chris within 5 minutes found out that my coilovers had no lubrication which was causing a sqeaky sound and also found out that my springs were installed upside down... I went to multiple places near my home (Campbeltown) and they were unable to source the issue as quick as Chris did.

I took my car to this mechanic and was thoroughly impressed with the level of service I received. Joe was knowledgeable, friendly, and took the time to explain the issue with my car and the steps he was taking to fix it. The repair was completed in a timely manner and at a fair price. I felt confident leaving my car in their care and will definitely be returning for any future car issues. Highly recommend this place for anyone in need of a reliable and trustworthy mechanic.

Joe has such a professional manner and I felt very confident he could source the problem with my VW Tiguan. He did, with what appeared the greatest of ease and minimal expenditure. Joe is keen to keep costs down for the customer and is conservative with replacing parts unnecessarily, which I am grateful for. My car was beautifully washed on my return and I will be back for certain for its service in June. Thanks Joe!

I came to see Joe about fixing up my baby seat as the little one is getting older and of course larger. Little did I realise that the seat could be adjusted easily without the need to change to a front facing position. Joe fixed it in seconds and charged me nothing! Thanks for being an honest guy Joe. He even said he would fix my mirror that had broken and would do it for a coffee! Unbelievable, he's a saint!!

I have a Honda Jazz and the Honda service centres have disappeared, in Sydney, so I googled and found Automoto - not only did I get a perfect car back from them ... but they were honest about previous work that had been done unnecessarily, and that I need not get it done by them. I recently serviced my car at a dealer and was told my brake pads had 3mm left. I decided to replace them and booked in with Joe at AutoMoto. He gave me a call and said the pads were actually 6mm and did not require changing. He did not charge me for his time. He was honest and friendly and I will be happy to do my car service with him next time.

So fortunate to have come across AutoMoto in the council's list of authorised carseat fitting stations. We needed Joe's assistance for 2 carseats - the entire booking experience and getting the job done was really smooth.
