To be frank, I had thought that I was dealing with Incredible Florist on Seton Blvd, as I had placed an order just the day before for an anniversary gift for my one daughter and her husband. However, somehow I was connected to Avenida Flowers on Lake Fraser Drive. The woman who answered the phone was pleasant to speak with and handled all my inquiries. A bouquet was ordered for a second daughter, as a "Just Because..." gift. All was well. Flowers were pretty. I only gave a four star instead of a five because I thought for the price I paid, it would have been nice to see a better vase than a 'mason jar' that I could purchase at the dollar store for $1.50. Surely the price for the flowers would have covered a bit of a nicer vase. The mason jar was made to look more attractive with the addition of ribbon, yet still, a nicer vase was expected. Sometimes it is difficult to write reviews when the person you speak with is so pleasant. Again, the chocolates were attractive, with sparkles on a couple of them. I was told that it would have been better if a small description of what was in the chocolates would have been good. Most of them tasted good apparently, but a few (about three out of nine) were not so well-liked. Part of the problem was not knowing what was in the chocolate. They are very attractive to look at though - nicely designed The balloon is an option that one can add to their purchase. The "crowd of smiley faces" was much nicer than the single smiley. I liked that choice. Satisfied to a degree, but not sure if I would go again. I liked Seton Blvd Incredible Florist. Their final product was 'amazing'. The vase is part of the package deal, and is important to me. The mason jar took away from the final effect, in my opinion. Not likely to reorder from this florist, despite the fact the woman is indeed very pleasant. The 'card' was typed up on the same piece of paper that talks about flower care and other 'information'. A separate little 'gift card' would have been much more appealing than the folded up piece of paper that the "message" from sender that had all the other information on (flower care, address etc). That was a poor touch.

TL:DR: THEY'RE INCREDIBLE! Definitely give them a call for all your flower needs. We booked them for wedding bouquets and bouts. I live in Ottawa but our wedding was in Calgary, so EVERYTHING had to be done over phone and email. They were slow to respond to emails (I legitimately forgot I emailed them for a good 4-5 weeks) but once I gave them a call, everything happened instantaneously. I sent them 2 Pinterest photos and they were able to put together amazing bouquets and bouts to match. The price was really good for the amazing flowers we got. They think of everything -- the bouquets came in vases for us, in bags for easy transport, and included microfiber cloths to wipe down the stem/handle right before the ceremony to avoid getting vase water on our dresses. Despite never having met me, Jenny and Cassandra were incredibly helpful. I had to add on about 110 stems of greenery for our DIY centerpieces, they managed to communicate to me what a "bunch" was over the phone, and gave an excellent estimate of how much I'd need (despite me knowing literally nothing about plants). Again the prices were AMAZING. Terrific experience all around! Will definitely recommend to family and friends :)

Horrible customer service when trying to order over $1000 in wedding flowers… Took multiple emails and calls to get an initial quote which should have been my first red flag. Wasn’t told they could not meet the pickup date requested until after the deposit was charged to my credit card. My card was charged before getting a final quote. Conflicting information on how I was to receive the flowers first it was out of water then in water. I was told after they charged my card that I could not get my flowers for a day and a half after the pickup date then all of a sudden I could get everything but one type. I was also told they might have to get my flowers a week and a half before my wedding meaning my bouquets would probably not last. By the end of it I wasn’t sure what I was actually even getting, every email was a different story which made me super uneasy to use them. To top it off after getting my deposit back I received the most unprofessional email saying I was the bad apple. Buyer beware!!

UPDATE: Incredibly impressed with how Laura managed this situation. Some of the best customer service I have received in response to an error. Will absolutely return as a customer. First time I have ever been disappointed with anything from here. I called in immediately after placing an order to see if the arrangement could be done in purple instead of pink. I was told this could be done with purple flowers and highlights of lavender flowers. The arrangement itself was, as always beautiful, but all of the flowers were pink. If they could not make it purple they could have told me so. I could have order a different arrangement. Deeply disappointed to pay so much and be lied to about what was delivered. After years of using Avenida flowers, I do not know if I will return as a customer.

Service is above and beyond. I used Avenida for my wedding. Their service was amazing and their response time was the best I've experienced in the wedding industry. The day before i picked up my flowers before the wedding, they noticed that some of the greenery that arrived didn't look like what was in my "inspiration" photos. So they called and asked whether or not this greenery was okay with me. I said I hoped for the kind in the photo and without blinking twice they said it was absolutely not problem and they found another supplier in the city and supplied me with exactly what I wanted for my wedding without making me feel like I was being a burden. Thank you guys so much for your service I actually felt like I bride with you.

I had purchased a hydrangea for my mom for Mother's Day from this florist...by chance I might add...they were the only florist in the area open that Sunday! Within a week the plant was showing signs that it could have a fungus. My mom called to see if she could exchange it. They didn't want her to bring it in (understandable) but to make up for it they delivered a beautiful arrangement of perennials and a box of chocolates to her house! Whoever dealt with my mom, thank you so much! You not only saved me the hassle of having to find a replacement gift, but your classy and lovely gesture have ensured that both of us will definitely be repeat customers. This level of service and integrity is hard to come by.

I ordered flowers online from Avenida for my mom's birthday. I was going to be out of town during her birthday so I ordered online 2 weeks in advance indicating the flower to be delivered on the exact day of her birthday. The next day when I was about to board my plane my mom called me asking if I had gotten her flowers. I was confused and contacted the flower shop via email. They replied and admitted their mistake right away. Colleen promised me to send a bigger arrangement on my moms birthday to fix the error. My mom was very happy with the flower she receives and I was very impressed with the level of customer service. Definitely going to pick them for my next flower order as well.

Awesome service! Great experience! I was in a super rush, running late, but wanted flowers that really expressed how special we felt about my gals Mom on her birthday. They had a perfect arrangement ready for me when I pulled up, and such a great deal on roses that I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to remind my gal how special she is to me too. The girls had the second bouquet whipped up in record time (great teamwork ladies) and me on my way feeling really good about the time benefit proposition I took. I placed an order online with Avenida Flowers early on a Friday morning for same day delivery. I checked their delivery FAQ online and was well within the parameters for same day delivery. The flowers were not delivered the same day and no explanation was given. The contact numbers and email were not used to notify me that they were not delivered. Rather than contact me and see what I wanted to do about their mistake, they just delivered them on Monday as if I would not care. When I inquired as to how this would be rectified I was given the run around and a fabricated story. Would not recommend at all.

Ordered a bouquet with balloons and a card. Flowers were fresh and pretty and the card (with custom message) was good quality. They missed delivering the balloons so I emailed them and they were very responsive. They sent the balloons along with a complimentsry box of chocolates the very next day and that shows their dedication to the service! Very happy! A suggestion: would be good if they provided an estimated timeframe for when the delivery will take place or there was an option to select delivery time, so that its easier for the receiver to be around. Overall, really good!

Ordering online from the US for various locations in Canada (such as Calgary and Toronto) is so easy. My husband and I used Avenida Growers for our Wedding flowers this past August. We had met for a couple of consultations with other florists but after sitting down with Colleen she seemed to be the first to really grasp what I was looking for. I received, and continue to receive, so many compliments on the bouquets and boutonnieres for our wedding. All of the staff was kind, courteous and easy to deal with and the flowers held up amazingly well, even in the 40 degree smokey sauna that was this past summer.

Jenny and the girls were SUPERB!! They captured exactly what I wanted for my wedding and exceeded my expectations. Jenny was thorough, friendly and so helpful. I have been using Avenida for years. I have ordered for my mom, mother-in-law, and aunt. I tell them my price range, their favorite color, and an arrangement I like, and then tell them to be creative! I have always gotten that phone call telling me how stunning the flowers are. I have also ordered the roses on rose day for the office; it just makes everyone's day when 10 dozen roses show up, and they are for everybody! Can't wait for the "ooh, flowers" again this year!

I ordered the "Fruit of the Bloom" arrangement for my mother. The flowers are beautiful and the note was nicely formatted. It was nice to see that the words had not been mis-typed, re-typed with bad grammar or shabbily hand-written as I have experienced with other florists. The arrangement also matched well with the photograph on the website, so overall I am very happy. I would gladly recommend and use Avenida Grower Direct in the future.

Pricing was great, wonderful website and fast delivery. Was disappointed that they didn't state, they call the receiver in advance. If I would have known, I would have made sure they hadn't phoned my wife. That spoiled the surprise. Also upon her receiving the flowers they are already wilting. Paid good money and was expecting fresh flowers. Was certainly disappointed with the conclusion of my first experience.

Sunday afternoon and a lot of florists are actually closed on Sunday but not Avenida Grower Direct. I showed up there Sunday afternoon with some purchases that I wanted incorporated into an Arrangement which I wanted delivered that afternoon. Cassy did an outstanding job on the arrangement and I was incredibly pleased! I would absolutely go to Avenida Grower Direct again and I highly recommend them!

A year ago I brought in the makings of a Christmas arrangement which included the basket and decorations, needing only greenery. They did a beautiful job filled with fresh greenery for a cost of 20.00. I returned this year and was somewhat disappointed to now be charged 50.00 and less greenery. Very easy online ordering system, same day shipping even on Sunday which was great! Free shipping, prices are slightly higher than I would expect, but given the service and quality it is very reasonable. I accidentally made a mistake in address of a recipient and the sorted it out and still delivered on time. Would order from them again and highly recommend this place.

I called them shortly after they opened on a weekday, they actually answered the phone, unlike two of their nearby competitors. They were able to deliver to a relatively close location by 3 PM that same day. The arrangement itself was fantastic, blown away, very impressive. This is the go to shop if you need flowers, delivered or not.
