I went there for my birthday on Saturday and thanking the security there for ruining my birthday! They were rough and rude. They are not afraid to have their hands on you to push you around to clear the pathway, we also had a friend on wheelchair and they asked her to go outside and not stay under the shelter whilst it was raining.. I know the owners of the bar and they should do a proper check on their staff as It felt like they were crims themselves, allowing shady people to do their business in there. Very dissapointing. We went out for a smoke around 2.15am which was right outside of the bar and were not warned that we couldn't go back in to collect my bag or get my friends to leave and instead was asked to stay outside and the security guard will bring my bag outside! As if I'm gonna let him get my personal belongings whilst my family and friends were inside and in the interim those shady people were allowed as they knew the security guards in there. Very disgusting and dissapointing

Just under an hour ago i was aggressively shoved out of the bar because “the girls i was with wouldn’t stop looking at the body guard” i politely told the body guard that it was probably an accident. But he tightly gripped my shoulder brought my closer and aggressively told me to tell the girls to stop. It was at this point I asked if he could take his hand off my shoulder because it hurt. When i placed my hand on his hand to remove it he shoved me into the crowd, grabbed me without prompt and viciously shoved me out of the venue. Keep in mind I was sober, and that none of the other body guards cared to listen to the story. The worst part was that he raised his hand at my girlfriend who was pleading him to stop, this is not acceptable at all. If you bring your significant other here be safe, the guards have no oversight and are clearly on a power trip.

I politely asked if I could use their bathroom as I had personal reasons that I needed to ( I’m a female) as the line for all the other places was extreme (40 plus minutes wait ) . I even offered to pay for a drink so I count as a customer. They did not listen to me at all. I have never been so mistreated in my life. The man yelled at me and basically rushed me out the door and then slammed in in my face yelling we are not a public bathroom. I’m disgraced?! I’m a young female who wanted to use the loo. Are you being serious?!! What type of treatment is this ? I was completely mistreated despite my happiness to be a customer. The workers here are EXTREMELY rude. Go here if you want to be yelled at, judged and to not be treated like a human being. Awful place. -10 stars

My partner and I called in here for a drink. The service was lovely and well from the lady who served us. We ordered a Furphy beer and a Tanquery Gin and Soda. This bar was chillaxed sitting on some very comfy single lounge chairs. This was a great place, their was some old school music playing and if I had more time I’d have stayed for another drink hahaha. May 2018 Came here for drinks on Saturday night. The service was friendly, and the place had an ok vibe. This bar is pretty big inside and it was fine for a quick post drink dinner. They have a big screen to watch videos and the staff were friendly. It’s intimidate inside, dark w huge selection of drinks to suit everyone lol.

Worst bar I've ever been to. Stopped by here at the end of 2020 to celebrate bday. Firstly, staff put half-shots in our drinks. Then, we were told to stay seated (no covid rules about standing/dancing at the time). Then, we were moved to the back of the bar onto 3 couches away from everything for no apparent reason. One of the workers then informs our group we all have to leave because they're "closing soon". It was 11 oclock and they were still letting customers in so clearly they weren't done. Long story short, we got kicked out of a bar for genuienly no reason. shocking

Unfortunately I can't give any less of a review then 1 star , extremely over packed beyond capacity , but the real kicker is spending 120 on 3 rounds of drinks and having to take them back each time because I was given straight coke with no alcohol in it at all , which is illegal to charge someone for something and not providing the service they are charged for , and I was barely tipsy so it wasn't a matter of me being too drunk and they thought I would not notice , absolute rip offs and dodgy as anything

This used to be a favourite place to go with friends, and even around the corner from the dance school dance space. Had great memories here in the past. For the first time in my life, the security just looked at me and i had not said a single word and was acting completely appropriate (no druken behaviour at all) and he just said sorry my boss said no to you, but there is no reason. Will never come to a place that has such rude staff and security. Appeared to be some kind of discrimination or racism.

First time here I felt it would be a good night but once we were standing in the line we felt really uncomfortable with the attitude of the bouncers. It is a club where you would assume it's happening but clearly I would rather end up on roads like a homeless person. The place is cramped up and you could feel the racism from the bouncers. They were treating people with aggression. The club is portrayed to be exclusive but its a hyped up trashy place where I would never go, or suggest anyone to go.

The bar itself is a great experience although the security team (bouncer) at this venue is undeniably horrible. No respect for others or any consideration. I will not be returning to this bar as it was a traumatising experience on my behalf. Man handling a sober man when he did not want to be touched is not acceptable. I would understand if we were rowdy or were miss-behaving. Although during this time we were not.

When I arrived I felt great that there were visibly queer people like me just having a great time and then a bunch were asked to leave for ‘wearing singlets’ and other such utter nonsense made up to excuse the fact this club wants the vibe to be very straight and male-gazey. So ridiculous, it’s 2022! The world is better with freedom and fun and safety, this was super disappointing :(

Good music but I was groped by a man there last night and when I was confronting him, the security guard kept yelling at me to move. When I later told the security what happened, he said that he couldn't do anything because he didn't see it. It made me feel very unsafe because I knew that if anything more happened, the security didn't have my back.

Yes I may have got drunk last sat night. But no reason for a bouncer to trick me into giving me water while leading me out of the pub.. Disappointing that you will sell alcohol but when a person requests water not once but twice inside the club and ignored before being led out. Really is disappointing of your staff. Unimpressed!

Came here around 2pm on a Saturday and it was dead, we were the only people in the whole place. Drinks were cheap (the ones that were on offer) but the floors were sticky, the chairs were over worn and the woman working was soo miserable.

The music was super good, the security guard out the front however was another story. So disrespectful and contradicting it was surreal, spoke to my friends as if they were trash when they asked a few questions about the wait in line.

Music is always bussin around 11:45pm - 2am. By far one of the better RnB clubs in Melbourne, but it's just always packed! Sometimes so tight, you don't have room to dance. Note: Bar Up has ratio rules

Doorman had a bad vibe about him he said "we not letting anymore guys in.." Didnt even had a drink or wasnt even drunk. Walked down the road looked back and seen him let in two white guys and lady in.

Bartenders and door staff are friendly and attentive. Music can get a little boring if you're not up to date with the new rnb tracks. Can get quite busy on a Saturday night.
