I hate leaving bad reviews, but this one is deserved. Saw Dr. Robert Cai twice, both times terrible. Detailing my experience which seems consistent with others. First visit it felt like he wasn't listening and simply didn't care. I had to repeat basic symptoms many times and in the end he added 3 words of detail to my test forms. I was dreading returning to get my test results, but I thought I'd see it through. When I returned he came into the office 5 mins after my scheduled appointment. Not sure if he was trying to make up for lost time, but he blasted through my test results like it was a race. I had to ask him to slow down or go back a number of times. I could see on the screen some levels were red or had comments he skipped over. He was getting visibly frustrated when I asked him to go back and explain what something meant and when I asked for advice on how to improve this rating. I also expressed concerns around some areas and shared in previous tests I've had before these levels were high and I have a family history of certain things. These questions were left hanging in the air and I got no guidance whatsoever. I was shocked at how laughably bad this whole experience was...it was like being in an episode of Seinfeld. The only good thing to come out of this was I got a printout of my results, after asking twice, which I plan to take to a competent medical professional.

It shocks me to find so much unprofessionalism, obliviousness and rudeness in a medical clinic. One stop shop for all you do not want to experience when needing a doctor’s help, even more so when you need them to see your young kids! From receptionists to GPs this clinic has been a massive disappointment for my entire family. Receptionists - rude, dismissive, talking over us and genuinely very simple. Dr Cai - zero communication! There is no dialogue, no response or reaction to whatever we may be there to see him for. Let alone any trace of empathy! Not capable to write in English. We had to look over his shoulder to get a couple of sentences down in a letter we had to send to government for my son. He’s also written up a pathology referral for myself - the blood test he requested did not make any sense. Nurse had to guess what that was meant to be! Dr Devine - sent my 3yo home with glandular fever saying he was ok! he had obvious, in-your-face swollen glands around his little face. Next day we had to go for a second opinion and been sent to urgently get bloods etc. Do your self (and your family) a favour and steer clear from this “medical” clinic!

Dr Robert Cai, is the most useless, unproffesional, lack of knowledged Doctor I have ever attended in my life. I cannot believe this guy still holds a GP license. It's clear he is either close to retirement or potentially losing his mind with age, as there is 0 care, empathy or knowledge when it comes to doing his job correctly. His misdiagnosis, refusal to check patients correctly and refusal to provide correct medical certification for attendance is alarming and concerning. I will be reporting him to the ACCC, aswell as this clinic and showing them all reviews to match. Enough as enough, this needs to stop, peoples health and lives are at stake.

Dr F is an elderly GP. He spent minimal time doing any form of thorough examination, appeared to forget the diagnosis by stating something completely different to the reason I was there, and asked me 4 times what my job was. My impression was that his practice was not contemporary, his memory was impaired and caused me to return to the clinic to pick up a referral form I needed which he said wasn't required despite me asking for it during the appointment. It was a disappointing and frustrating experience. My rating is directed towards the GP, not the actual medical centre.

Worst GP ever- Dr. Robert Cai. I visited him a few days back to get my throat checked as I was suffering with fever and sore throat since a week. The appointment was less than 5 minutes, he prescribed an antibiotic (50 capsules for two weeks) without even telling what has happened to me and dismissed us. Charged $70 for just couple of minutes. I had to visit another doctor and got to know that I have tonsillitis. As a doctor, they should understand the importance of treating each and every patient. I will never recommend the medical centre to anyone!!

The doctor I wished to see does not bulk bill for tele consult, so I had to attend clinic just to get blood test results and scripts and pay 35 dollars above the standard Medicare cost out of pocket for a face to face consult I didnt really want.. I understand this fee issue to some extent but the Doctor made me wait nearly an hour and saw a patient who entered the clinic well after me before me. I don't expect to have to pay extra or wait longer for that. Unimpressed in this instance.

I would give just 1 star but the doctor was good on the diagnosis, except his lack of tact and considered the appointment a "long appointment" when it's was less than 10min. The receptionist was not clear about the fees. She told me 70 then 35 then 70 again, and after the appointment I ended up paying 110 dollars. They should let people know about posible fees from the beginning. I would never go back to this clinic and I would never recommend it.

The receptionist is nothing short of rude and dismissive. I have been coming here for over 10 years and everyone has been lovely. Don't bother booking over the phone, she does not listen and talks over you. She obviously doesn't want to be there and it shows, its a pity as this doctors surgery has always been a very professional place to go. Looking elsewhere as we speak or book online with a telehealth so you don't have to interact with her.

I just had an appointment with Dr Robert Cai. He is with out a doubt the worst doctor I have seen in years. Zero empathy and dismissive of my concerns. I've visited the clinic on other occasions and found other doctors and the reception staff helpful and kind. So this 1 star review is for the specific doctor and not the clinic as a whole.

Was a previous patient of this clinic.. not anymore You get no acknowledgment just talked over. How can I can trust these “nurses” when they are more worried about having a gossip session, and the receptionist is just rude no customer service at all! Don’t recommend if you actually care about your health and well-being.

Doctor Blumberg was most engaging and interested in my various medical conditions. He inquired beyond those conditions and provided help unexpectedly with unveiling a health issue I had not raised. I much appreciated his astute, thoughtful and candid advice. A first class physician of rare skill and wise perception.

Doctor Blumberg is AWESOME. Honestly the best doctor I’ve ever had, very knowledgeable and takes time to explain things to you. He’s helpful and motivates me to take better care of myself. He’s awesome and I cannot possibly recommend him enough. Admin staff at Bentleigh are great too, always welcoming and helpful

I understand that this place has made the decision to no longer bulk bill clients but Can’t believe they made my family member book in for a second follow up $70 session to receive their pathology results. This could have easily been done over the phone. Seem this clinic is very focussed on the $.

My doctor here is lovely and very knowledgeable and good to just have a chat with. She books up fast so if I have to wait I accept that because I know she gives her patients the time they need as that is what she does for me. Very happy with this clinic and I have been attending for three years.

Dr. David Blumberg provided an exceptional experience. The doctor's dedication to thoroughly exploring my symptoms and spending ample time with me was truly commendable. I appreciate the excellent care and attention to detail received during my visit. Highly recommended.

Excellent attention by Dr Blumberg and nursing staff earlier this week. Thought I had a torn meniscus in the knee which had caused swelling but Dr Blumberg removed fluid from the knee bringing instant relief. Swelling has not returned and knee functioning as normal.

General practitioners are lovely. Reception staff (blonde middle aged women in particular) very rude and quite dismissive. Communication toward GP rather aggressive and unprofessional. Also noticed priority toward certain patients in the practice..

The doctors at Bentleigh Medical Centre are fantasitic !! They are always willing to spend the time you need and do not rush you out . Dr David is one of the best doctors I've ever had. I cnnot recomment this clinic enough.

Highly Recommend Dr Freund. I no longer live locally and trying to find a Dr when you have a cold is near impossible. Dr Freund, was just lovely. I was very happy, he was no fuss and I am feeling better.

Had my vaccine done here, but I'm deathly afraid of needles so I couldn't look at the needle. The nurses were very friendly and supportive, it was a good time! Highly recommend!

I love BMC, Dr Blumburg is my go to for my children, I wouldn’t trust their care to anyone else. The reception staff and wonderful and will go above and beyond to help. 5 stars!

I have my own favorite doctor, but when I need a quick visit for something I can always get in on the same day. the reception always manages to find a spot.

The Russian receptionist is far too rude. Her fellow receptionist (Jane, I think) is lovely and perhaps can provide her with a few customer service lessons
