My experience at this location was terrible. I went in to shop around and ended up in the furniture department on 10/17/23, and saw a couch that I really liked. I asked the floor associate for assistance because the couch didn’t have an advertising that showed the name of the couch or price. The associate ended up finding the flyer underneath the cushion… (great marketing)! However, it did not have dimensions. He told me that I could purchase the floor model with 10% off (without any information on the dimensions at this point) because they didn’t have any others in stock. Then he walked away to the computer to try and find more product information and came back and said he couldn’t find anything in the system for it. Then he told me if I went ahead and purchased it that same day he could call his manager to confirm if they could do 20% off instead. The person he called allowed the 20%… I would’ve taken it if the measurements were good. Then he told me he was going to the back to see if they had it in stock (after he said in the beginning that he knew they didn’t). While I was waiting for him to come back I went online and found the product information including size AND it was on sale online for $749 vs. what he wanted to sell it to me for at $1299 in store. So I waited for him to come back for 30-40 minutes and he NEVER came back. So I left because why not purchase it online for much cheaper and it’ll be brand new. I ended up placing the order online to have it delivered to my home on 12/22/23. This morning I received an email saying that my order was cancelled because big lots no longer has it in stock. I said okay… let me go back and get the floor display for the online price PLUS the 20% the associate honored. I went in and asked for a manager to help me in the furniture section. I started to explained to her what happened the previous day and she stopped me mid sentence and said “why didn’t you have a ruler to measure the couch yourself if you guys didn’t see the flyer on the couch”. I told her “excuse me? First and foremost I am the customer, your associate should’ve been the one to take measurements. Second my intentions going out shopping wasn’t to look for or purchase a couch, i’m not just carrying around a ruler with me everywhere I go. I have measurements of my space at home in my notes on my phone in case I do find a couch one day, but usually anywhere that i’ve gone they have that information displayed ON THE COUCH, not under it’s cushion.” She then goes on to say that she DIDN’T want to sell the display, and even if she did it she can only do 10% off… So what is it?? You’re refusing to sell it to me or if you do sell it you’ll do 10%…? I told her that the previous associate called his manager to verify selling the floor model to me AND sell with 20% off. She said he was wrong for telling me yes. If she was the manager… then who did the associate call to verify with his “manger” that he could sell it just the day before? I asked for the corporate number and she told me to “go online and find it”. I am waiting for the district manager to contact me within 48 hours. Until then if I could give this location NO stars believe me I would.

First off, the parking lot is really inadequate for this store. Tight spots, hard to see when pulling out of one, just be advised. I'll say about this store what I've noticed at the other ones. Some of the prices are not exactly what I would consider closeout prices, which is what Big Lots is supposed to be, a retailer that purchases overstock and liquidated items in bulk to distribute throughout their stores. Always was a great place to go for bargains. It appears that over the years their strategy has changed to shift more focus on keeping certain items in stock all the time, and their prices reflect that. Things like the no-skid rolled up grip mats and plastic storage totes can be purchased for less at other retailers. Electronic items are what you'd expect at a closeout retailer, don't expect to find the newest things there, but every once in a while you can find something worth getting. Prices are usually on the high side for these items, too. USB memory sticks sold here offer half the capacity for the same price as you'd spend for double the storage elsewhere. Toy section was very well stocked at this location. Shelves were full, and there was a wide selection. Props on that. They have a rewards program, but it's hit and miss. Half the time the register receipt indicates that the points on the receipt have not been linked to your account, and that's a big deal because if you shop there three times in a month you're supposed to get a $5 coupon to use. I have yet to have that problem fixed.

If I could give a negative review I would I send delivery guys to this location three different times to pick up a bedframe for me until I was so frustrated I just cancel the order. I have had the run around all day today over the phone at different locations and even with the big Lodge credit card company trying to get a refund they all said I had to come back to the store so I drove out in the rain 40 minutes to come to the store only to be told by the manager that I might be lying that the item never got picked up because he has no record of it in the system. Do you not shop here do not patronize Big Lots. They have been insulting my intelligence wasting my time and cost me over $100 and cancellation fees not to mention the fact that their credit card doesn’t give me an option to dispute the charges every time I called them which was incidentally three times today I was mysteriously disconnected even when I got so far as to speak to a supervisor who strongly tried to discourage me from filing a dispute because it was extra work for him and he said I could just go to the store and get a refund. Buyer beware do not use their credit card do not shop here unless you want to be insulted and accused of lying and attempting to steal.

This big lots has plenty to offer however, I always thought they were supposed to be a discount store where you can find good deals? Their prices don't seem any better than anyone else's and in some cases we're higher priced than other stores. Weighing the size and quantity of whatbyou are buying verses price I can find better deals out there. I looked at furniture just to price. I won't be picking up those items here either as I can do much better. Over priced and shelves are over stocked so be careful but from what I could see, not enough staff available to help you if you needed it. There was a guy helping in furniture but another couple had him tied up the whole time I was there. Also so many framed pictures in a huge box piled in and not able to look at the selection for those as it was over stuffed and too heavy and had been rummaged through that I wasn't doing the dig to maybe find more of what was on top of the pile. I give a 3 star rating because the store is big with different options and the cashier was kind. Prices are just not worth it to return.

I purchased a recliner at this Big Lots in April of 2021. Soon after the recliner began to lean to one side. I had purchased a warranty but could not find the receipt. I called a few times and was told there was nothing that could be done. When I went to the store the manager Robert searched the system and found the receipt, gave me the warranty contact and gave me clear direction on what to do to get the chair replaced. When I called the warranty folks they said that my "3 year warranty" wouldn't go into effect until after the 1st year. Didn't make much sense to me. So I called Robert back and he made it right. I have been in this store a few times and this dude has been extremely helpful every time. Even when the warranty people didn't want to deliver on their end, he took it into his own hands and we ended up with a new chair. We felt like this individual was extremely professional and took care of the situation for us. THANKS ROBERT!!!! YOU DESERVE A RAISE!!!!

Always a large selection of items for purchase - food = some snack type items to select from (chips, crackers, candy) and drinks. Outdoor items - garden gloves, some planters - mainly a changing section that has seasonal items - they also carry a small assortment of clothing from kids to adults - it depends on the Big Lots you're visiting. Furniture - couches, beds, tables, rollaway beds - bedding - home decor. The list goes on and on. Definitely a fun place to stop in and browse for your home. The store was busy but clean - the employees were all polite and checked us out quickly. Would definitely shop this location again.

The salesperson in furniture area was actually very helpful, however, when I left and discovered I had left my prescription eyeglasses there, I called to ask if they had been found. I was put on hold several times, passed around to be placed on hold again and then finally told they were busy with customers & couldn’t check. I was placed on hold again & was never helped. It only takes a few seconds to walk over to the area and check for an item left there. Very bad service and treatment of customers who visited. I am a customer as well and do not appreciate feeling like I’m bothering them.

It's the holiday, and I was ready to see some disarray in every store. This Big Lot store was a convenient stop to pick up Crystal Geyser water and a few other Staples. The store was full of customers, an employee's were working hard to restock. I spent 10 minutes trying to find a shopping cart, then another 3 minutes looking for bottled water. My time in line was short, but my trip was wasted, when I was informed that EBT cards were not accepted at the store. I ended up going to my regular store a few days later.

Made a quick stop here. Had been years since I shopped at Big Lots. Just needed a couple of household items. I must commend the (female) cashier working the only register open. It was approximately 8pm this Monday, April 1. Somewhat of a long line formed. Nevertheless, she was very patient, professional and very courteous! Thank you for the pleasant customer service. It makes a world of difference! I was the lady buying laundry fabric softener and dryer sheets.☺ Oh and bathroom tissue.

I came to pick up a transfer and I was been helped by Alfonso on the furniture side. Right away he was treating me differently because I didn’t do the original purchase here instead of the other big lots on Thousand Oaks. He was telling me it was going to take a long time and he also needed to help his customers here like if I’m not a customer overall I will never shop at this location EVER!!!! The most rude person ever specially for been a manager of some kind.

june 20 - went to the store with my boyfriend and the white lady with short white/ blonde hair kept staring at us and even when we left the store waiting for our lyft she was staring at us before closing the doors. This was around 8-9 pm Never once did she say anything or greet us just gave us an ugly look and kept eyeballing us as we walked thru the store... idk if its because of the way we looked or anything but I would say she thought we were stealing.

I would like to thank the team at Big Lots on San Pedro!!! Bee in the furniture department was a huge help assisting in my purchase of a pergola and out door furniture. When an imperfection was found on a piece of the furniture the store director did an outstanding job ensuring I was pleased with my purchase. I’m not a frequent shopper at Big Lots but because of the outstanding service I received I won’t hesitate to choose this Big Lots for future purchases.

Please PLEASE clean your ladies bathroom. It’s seriously so bad. And I’m talking like SCRUB the walls, floor, sinks, and toilets. There is feces and blood on the floor and walls. And maybe replace the toilet paper holders since most are broken (I know this from going stall to stall to try and find the cleanest one). PS-Please don’t hang the toilet bowl scrubber on the grab bar that disabled people need to use for safety. The store was organized.

Wow they sure did change everything around! I was lost there! Everything is still being sold dry goods, milks, juices, deserts, garden items! However the prices are a little high now I guess beings that were all going through these problems and stores need to try and make up a tiny bit of extra money!! Cashier was very helpful but someone needs to help him answer phones and at the same time cash out customers!!

Check your receipt. 2nd time w/advertised discount issues. Prior vist said i couldnt get 20% off without my actual card even tho they could scan the coupon on my phone and had my phone #. Many items are not marked w/price or ring up higher at register so keep a close eye. Prices on some food items higher than grocery, dollar stores or walmart. Very nice staff however, but sometimes a few struggle.

Big lots has really upgraded this store's location. They now sell items from Target , Disney , Margaritaville and they even sell Broyhill furniture. The reason I'm giving this location a four is that the lighting towards the back isn't right. It flickers . Nonetheless, this is a clean location ,and it has clean restrooms. I didn't really see too many workers there , but the cashier was very friendly.

In my experience, customer service is not a core value in budget oriented stores. Every now and then you'll find a friendly face but they're the needle in this haystack of an industry. At this particular store, my cashier Bee was very friendly. For the prices & variety of items sold in stores they receive 4 stars, but customer experience typically takes precedence when it comes to ratings.

Surprised me this one does not accept food stamps, the employees were to to busy looking at each other. Higher ups should look at your video tapes , sshhh customer help where if they all just standing around. we wont be going by. So NOPE cant use food stamp card here why? if its the only way to pay? are they discriminating BBB should investigate why? don't they want our business.

Unfortunate. Stopped by for a wind down to my day. People on the intercom could not hear. Had to repeat myself 6 times. Then when asked to repeat myself again, people inside were laughing. Then some guy with gold earrings and curly hair comes out and tells me I can meet him in the parking lot. I have to report this as a threat against me. I can't go back out of fear now.

We like shopping for furniture there but the only thing that makes things uncomfortable is the people walking around in the parking lot asking for money. I have no issues with the business itself just the parking lot. They will wait for someone to come out and run to you. Like I said before I have no issues with the business it's just the surrounding in it.

This Big Lots has changed a lot over the years. It looks so much better and way more organized. The staff seems friendly I've never had problems here. I love the halloween and water stuff. I do have a credit card with them and it does have kind of a high interest rate. I highly suggest pay it off in the time of no interest and then never use it again lol

A lot of holiday stuff here. It's great for those one off uses. Great products but don't have unrealistic expectations from the items you buy. Great bargains but I'm happy if they last the year. Any more and you are lucky. Great value for the quality. Many options but they do sell quickly. Staff is great and very friendly.

I like Big Lots, but there prices are the same as Wal-Mart or 1 to 2 cents higher on things that I have check, Big Lots is starting to be just like all the other store, except they do give you 10 %to 15% and 20% off and they do give you 10% off on your birthday. So all in all I will always shop at BIG LOTS.

I’ve been a fan of Big Lots since it was McFrugals in the 90’s. It has become more of a furniture store (very good) and the low prices on groceries and other household items never disappoint. I picked up school supplies this last time and even though it was just one employee working, she was great!

Awesome prices on items not available elsewhere for same price at decent quality (king size sheets under $20 and don't feel like sandpaper lol). Great indoor and outdoor furniture. Housewares, small appliances, and food, even electronics cheap but no sacrifice on quality.

Store hours said open at 9am...got there a few minutes early because we were driving all over looking for patio chairs. Finally opened 5 minutes late and not so much as a good morning. They have good deals but employees (and managers) are only there for a paycheck

This store is awesome!! Christmas decorations are beautiful and all at a great price. Their toy aisles are stocked and all at reasonable prices. And there are no shortage of stocking stuffers! Staff was very friendly and the store itself was very clean and neat.

This is the biggest big lots I've ever been to. Huge store, they even have a large furniture selection. It was a bit messy but maybe this is because of the holiday crowds. They have a lot of nice things for great prices.
