So I have been to this store...I would say they have one of the worst customer service. I would not recommend this store. First I bought paddle for my bike for $10. I paid with my debit card. However my bike paddle did not work so I came back in the store for returning it. They helped me out by giving another paddle. This new paddle cost more than $14. I would have to pay $3-4 more for this paddle. Guy in the cash register was trying to charge me fee for that...I said I already paid you $10 or more. Why should I pay for it? He started to arguing me about the fee. I said give me refund. He gave me refund then I said now I will buy it. So I will not have to pay the fee. In his reply, he refused to sell his product to me. I was shocked at this behavior. I am not sure if he had a bad day but he did not act in right way with customer.

Horrible service and return policy! I took my vintage Raleigh bicycle here to have new tires put on and told the owner that I wanted the tires to be brown and look exactly like the ones it had before because I wanted to keep the vintage look. Well, when I went to pick up my bike it had tires that had more of a yellow wall than I brown wall. I paid and took the bike home but was less than satisfied. Then I decided that I really wanted the brown wall tires, so I called the owner to exchange them. He refused to exchange them and give me store credit . I had the bike less than a day. Now I'm stuck with tires that look more like they belong on a beach cruiser than on a vintage British bicycle. Don't go here!!! Customer service is non-existant!!!

Very disappointed, sad too. On Parents weekend, October 13th, 2018 I took my students bike in because of a front flat tire. The gentleman seemed kind and helpful. Said a new durable tube would do the job so my kid go get around school. Picked it up and left. Tire was flat within 10days. Living in Tempe suggested bring the bike home, it might need a tire too and we could take it to where we fix our bikes. Took it in explained the issue and was told I did not have a new tube at all just the old one with what was a slow leak. Now it is repaired correctly. I don't know what happened at Bike Zone but I do believe I paid $18 to have air put in my bike tire and no repair. Too bad won't go back, can't take the chance.

I brought my huffy 27.5 cruiser for bike zone to fix my bike he tightened my spokes that was $40 the he charged me $20 for my breaks then $20 for my head reset and bearings for handle bars then $20 for gears rest then $50 for bottom bracket bearing to get changed my bike still makes knocking noise i spent $150 dollars for my bike not to be fixed i had to take the bike back like 3times and all he has to say is I don't know where it is I'll charge you $20 dollar to find it or I'll charger you $200 to look at the whole bikes is this guy's serious he's just gets people for there money i definitely don't recommend this place at all

I went there to get a tube for my road bike. I brought the size of the tube and he gave me a new tube. Once I got home I realized he gave me the wrong sized tube. I went back and asked for the right one. He was extremely rude and blamed me, then he said that they didn't have my tube size but in a way that pissed me off. I told them if they did not have my tube size why did they give me a wrong tube. And that they were the ones with the problem not me. I'm just a consumer. DON'T GO THERE. I'D RATHER GO TO ANOTHER ONE THAT IS FARTHER WITH GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE THAN TO SAVE GAS MONEY BUT GET A PRICK AS THE BIKE MECHANIC.

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff I've been going to this bike shop for last 6 months was turning all of my problems with my bike and they've always been very informative and helpful with upgrading my bike at a reasonable price however don't get the cheat tubes from that place if you have the extra couple bucks for the thicker tubes I'd suggest getting it I burned through two tubes and two days and now I'm looking for a third tube on day 3 but these are my only bad experience with them since I've started going through them thanks a lot I appreciate all your help

  • S Davito

The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable!! Rueben was very busy but managed to squeeze me in. I had a rear flat and was a good 3 miles from home.. Prices were very reasonable!! $7 bucks to change my tire!! He also had the outer tire I needed in stock when several other shops had to order the white wall tire? And the 3 other nearby shops wanted me to leave my bike with them for 2 days till they could get to it?? This shop will now be my go to whenever I may need something or some assistance.. Thank you again Rueben:)

Tune ups are good, depending on who's there at the time. My last bike lost a cone during a tune up. Once your bike is finished, make sure the bike is working properly and all the pieces are in place. Over the phone service could definitely use improving. I had few questions over the phone, but hw only answered one question and then hung up on me. In-store service is good. They can answer your questions and give good advice in person. Lots of good prices for great quality products that are not high end brands.

I would give this place zero. I showed up at 5:30pm asking if he would fix my pedal, he said yes and that it would only take him 5 minutes, but I had to pick up my bike at home first. So I got back to the shop a little before 6pm purchased the new pedal and he said he wouldn't have time to fix it. His excuse was he was closing in 30 minutes. I still asked once again, I really wanted it done I wanted to go for a ride with my kids, still he refused. Not going back. That's for sure

The Bike Zone is a friendly neighborhood owned bike shop that strives for same day service and fair prices. I have brought several bikes there and have always received good service. Most bike shops need at least 2-3 days for repair service. Not the Bike Zone. The Bike Zone has always done same-day service for me except once and one time they perfectly repaired the bike the next day. I'll continue to bring my bikes there with the excellent service I've received.

  • juan jimenez

Took my cruiser bike for a break adjustment/repair pick up next day after paying for the service notice bike had a front flat tire I asked why it wasn't fix young guy at the register said he put air on it but it didn't hold air I told him how come he didn't call me to letting me know about he just shrug his shoulders we left with the flat tire he didn't care to asked to get it fix won't comeback again to this place for any repairs again

  • Anthony Porras

Needed a crank replacement. One of my pedals were falling off. Bike Zone did a quick assessment and recommendation. They offered me a choice of products for replacement. No hard sales push. Completed my repairs in (2) two hours! The price of the products on hand were very good & reasonable. Those other bike shops, and I have been to a few. They just want to look in your wallet. If your going to fix your bike. Call The Bike Zone!

  • Ciera Meade

Sold me a bike that i realized had tons of problems when i got home. He said i could bring it back within 14 days if i had any problems. Seemed like it was refundable. He didnt say anything about it being nonreturnable until i got there. Bad business. They probably steal their bikes and make profit. Really shady place. Dont make the same mistake i did. Wasted almost 200 on a bike that was not prepared to be saleable!

  • Emily Pabingwit

I needed a local shop near me after a spoke on my bike broke. I use my bike to get to and from work. They took my tire as a walk-in. It was done in a couple hours for way less than I was expecting. I usually go to a big bike shop and I was expecting to leave my bike overnight for a lot more. I will not go back to the big bike shop. I will come back to Bike Zone on Glendale and 35th ave.

  • Eric Billstrom

Considering how poor their customer service is I am surprised bike zone is still in business. I needed a part.he had to order it.ordered the wrong one.Ordered it again wrong one again.Allowed him to try one last time against my better judgement .now its going on week #4 and I am still sitting here waiting. Could have went else where and bought the part over the counter.

  • Shanta Mcgee

I no longer recommend Bike Zone, went in to get bike gears adjusted. My daughter was told $25 to adjust gears then $45 for new gears. I went with my gut feeling and walked out found a Bicycle Shop on 7Ave and Monroe. Looked at fixed bent gears, gears cost only $20, thanks Bike Zone for being greedy and dishonest, I found another Bike shop with.

  • Solomon Morales

Don't ever give your bike to the other people in the store they keep changing the prices when the owner isn't there and if the guy isn't there than the store should b close because there's only one guy who know what he's doing it sad I've been going to this store for 3 years n the owner is cool but after today I'm done with them

  • Osmany Martin

Horrible place, I had a flat tire and call them, they said that it was a 5 dollars repair on the phone , then when I got there they told me 10 , after that I asked for a new tube , it was 10 dollars too, when I paid they charged a fee just for use my debit card, they have their own kids doing the job

  • Andrew Radcliff

Its convenient when you need bike parts, but they overcharge. I paid $350 for a bike that retails at $269. I spent a lot of money at this store on bike parts to build bikes and they overcharged me. My advice is to research before you buy from here. I will not be buying from here anymore.

  • Just Here999

While he had good advice, his patron skills don't exist. I purchased a brake and a nut I lost for my Mongoose motorized bike. Both visits, I found this owner extremely rude and decided to find a different shop. Maybe he isn't getting laid or something. I don't know.

  • bedhead 2419

Customer service is eh. I dont expect to be treated like royalty in any situation. But i feel very unwelcome any time i go. the big guy never smiles and is always in a mood. no where to sit if you decide on waiting here and barely any room to bring your bike in.

  • Rodrigo Condé

Great store! Ruben always exceeded my expectations, dealing with my complicated bikes and projects. He did maintenance in all of my bikes since 2020: Specialized Shiv Bmc Time Machine Cervelo P5 (he built for me the last two bikes). Totally recommended

  • Charles Morgan

Shopper beware! Though the mechanic/owner is skilled, he is very rude. Perhaps I asked to many questions, or he doesn't care for those who want to browse. Previously, I purchased some grips and tubes. However, I will not return to this shop!

  • Shaneen Beebe

I brought my stroller tires in to have the tubes replaced and even though one of the tubes is obvious defective and keeps going flat, they won't replace it. I had also brought my bike in for a tune-up and that seems to have turned out okay.

  • Cindy Aleman

They will sell you broken equipment and then blame you for breaking it or not knowing how to use it. Harassed me as well! Horrible place to come shop. I recommend everyone to not purchase here and let it go out of business!!!!

  • Marc Vincent

Took my misfired in thinking bad bearing after he did some quick adjustment nothing wrong bought some more items to help finish styling my ride no probs quality parts and good customer care I will be back

  • Xavier Robinson

They sell bikes, parts, and do repairs. I didn't notice any new bikes but the used bikes were in good condition. I bought a bike for my son and I will be going back to get bikes for the rest of my family.

  • B S

Cruise on past to a reliable shop. Always try to support a LBS but these guys deserve to go under. Overcharge for parts and services and didn't even finish a headset install correctly.

  • Payaso Pimpoyinn

Un lugar donde la atención al cliente es prioritario las mejores marcas y un mecánico de bicicletas con muy buena y mucha experiencia por eso y mucho más los puedo recomendar con gusto

  • papa smurf

They tried to steal my money by saying that the slime I got did not fit my 24 inch tire even when I showed them the size on the offical mongoose website they still denied it.

  • Joseph Villalpando

Recently got into mountain biking and found this mom and pop shop nearby my place and it’s great, super friendly and they have pretty much anything you need for your bikes!

  • Steven Caraveo

The guy was really rude and unfriendly I don't know if why people are like this good luck getting business with your bad attitude. He didn't even have the right tools

  • Oscar Acuna

A worker by the name of Ruben i believe fixed the back rim on my bike. It was the warped and sure enough he did a hell of a job! Thanks again, money well spent! …
