Boronia Mall unfortunately is not going to last unless people don't fill the empty shop's that I have seen gradually shut down. But I have difficulty seeing anyone else renting out the various different vacant shops suited for small business. Owners who have to compete with Coles and Kmart as well as the various other places outside the Mall. This place is not a great place for any business to start up ! .With the people who are not aware that there are shops that have tried for different types of products and services that had to shut because they don't have the shoppers that walk through unless they have a medical appointment or have to use the newsagent. If great shops in the 2nd floor like the record shop and unfortunately a sporting shop that had massive potential to be a shop that not only sold Quality new and used products from America ,ie Nike , Puma and all the best best quality named sporting clothing and is so cheap for the whole range of things that you can get almost anything, mostly because of the cheap price of the most expensive and most popular clothing items. Unfortunately for the best shop in Boronia he is not getting much in the way of new customers just repeat ones that return because of the bargains they have but it will be closing soon! Sorry it's closed now eason why I would assume that Boronia shopping centre is going to end up being a one shop Coles and Kmart. The rest are all just hoping and praying that the Mall isn't going to close.I have no doubt that we will have houses built on our once thriving shopping centres. Shame hoping that I am wrong?
Not a bad mixture of shops here, outdated, but I like that. There's bakery's, fish and chips, NQR supermarket, an awesome green grocers, rivers and from memory a couple of other little takeaway shops and possible a hairdressers. I went into the bakery on the right hand side of the $2 shop to grab some pies for lunch for the family and as I was walking out of the door way, I took a step down and my foot slipped and i rolled my ankle, sprained it and also cut my knee quite badly. Besides the fact not one person acknowledges this l, even the shop owner....I was not very happy at all and was in agonising pain, the reason it happened is because the concrete, as you walk out is very shiny and seems slippery even when its not actually wet, it's kind of like its worn down so it's lost the ruggedness to it which makes it slippery. Here I am a week later with my foot up still, with a sprained ankle. Please please do something about this, I'm worried an elderly person could really hurt themselves coming out that door way. Apart from this bad experience I generally like these group of shops.
One of the more popular places of Boronia. Fresh fruit veggies shop, cafes and food options - including Mexican restaurant and Asian eateries - beauty salons, hairdressers, pet shop. NQR, Rivers, Asian food stores, Dan Murphy, two hot bread kitchens and much, much more (sorry to those who I haven't mentioned). Plenty of parking. On the down side, no toilets. At least this area seems to be thriving, unlike the slow death of Boronia Mall. Plenty of medical facilities over the road. Handy postbox. If there were to be an upgrade please don't make it one of those ugly, dirty toilet blocks that is in Boronia Square. (Disgusting place: to be avoided if possible. Try the Mall toilets instead).
I do like coming to this place. I normally visit Farmer Joe's, NQR, some of the bakeries, and Rivers. Parking seems accessible as there are a number of disabled parking which helps. I do realise that on hot days it becomes obviously deserted as there are no cooling with the exception of the stores itself. That is the failure of these shopping strips, but people need to toughen up a bit and walk the few metres to their comfort.
Rundown, shops closed, escalator doesn't work. Hasn't had any money spent on it since the 70s. Really upsetting Knox has abandoned it as once it was great, you should be ashamed Knox Council. Railway station is there but you have neglected the whole area. So much money coming in with all the new apartments, more people in the area, not good enough. I wouldn't take photos.
Again not all approachable in terms of any affordable value. The food court was such that it left anyone with a feeling that i don't want to visit this place anymore.Judging by the overall patronage, that people were inclined not to venture there at all.And they had a good reason to.Totally beyond the reach of 90% of any normal folk.
Most things you need. Fresh meat and veggies. Bakeries, coffee shop, NQR, Mexican and Thai restaurants. An Indian supermarket, a dim sim shop and a Dan Murphys. A massive car park with some shade and easy walking access to all shops and the rest of Boronia. Definitely worth stopping and having a look around.
Like most shopping strips the majority of outlets are closed. Fortunately Farmer Joe's is open and provides a wonderful array of fresh fruit, vegetables, deli products and international grocery products. Worth a visit. Right next door is NQR which is also open for business.
Waste of space!!! I'm sure back in 80's it's was a place to shop but these days unless you need the part office or doctor there is no point going there a major upgrade rebuild is needed in boronia in general.. Go to knox Westfield if you need shopping
It would be goid except for the nightmare parking there. You take your life in your hands finding a park, and then when you need to reverse out of your parking spot, there are people pushing trolleys, prams with babies, mumscwith toddlers,
A nice part of Boronia including cafes, discount supermarket, pet groomers and a pet shop, hair and beauty, takeaway food and sit down (mexican, asian, fish & chips) - and that's just the top part! Dan Murphys and gift shops, more eateries
Cute little 1980's shopping centre rocket away near a major Coles and Kmart, good for the oldies to reminisce about the younger days. Few cafes and random shops, unfortunately a few perm closures due to covid. Blast from the past however.
Great place to do a Small Shop in Boronia away from Junki Counrty known as Boronia Train Station, Nice and Friendly store Staff and will look after you if you're a Regular. Dan Murphys is Great for a Drink with Good Prices n Specials a
Sleepy little strip with hidden gems. A great Thai food restaurant, even better burger joint and a really good Mexican place... I certainly reccomend the Passionfruit Margaritas! Don't pass by, Boronia Village has some merit!
Love this village everything i need is right here from farmers joe to the per shop super friendly staff to my favourite 2 dollar shop fish and chips i can go on and on ,visit the village you wont be dissapointed
I went into the variety store or as some would call it a 2 dollar shop the staff are very polite and friendly I highly recommend this store also very helpful thank you for remembering my father
Great $2 shop and almost next door is Ascent Coffee, lovely coffee and great food. The chicken and leek pie was lovely and hot, crispy pastry. To finish a slice of mixed berry pie, yum.
Great little village, problem is crime rate is on the rise. Caught a guy trying to break into my car, after moving him on, he tried with the next and next. More security is needed.
It has a great little op shop straight up the escalator, few shops down stairs, does need some redevelopment. K mart outside which is always great for a bargain and it's open late.
Good collection of shops, NQR is always a lucky dip, you go to NQR and sometimes it tell you to buy nothing, and other day it ytells you to buy everything.
I'm always there fantastic opshop. Doctors are good bit slow in there. Great CD DVD place.very friendly can order for you as well. Something nice to eat.
Love this little shopping strip. Get my poodle clipped at Boronia pet grooming. Barbara and staff are great! Also love NQR next door. Plenty of parking
I visit the Post office quite regularly. The mall isn't very inviting and there's a lot of shops which are closed. It feels a bit squishy and outdated.
It has Good fruit shop , bakery, coffee shops, grocery , restaurants, beauty salons and other stores including a Rivers . BUT no public toilets.
Wheelchair friendly, accessible by public transport & if you can't find what you're looking for it's located walking distance to Boronia Mall.
Run down area but there is some good food choices like crave, fish and chips and a charcoal chicken shop. Good parking
Love it here. Lots of bargains and ample parking. The fish and chip shop has the BEST schnitzel burger I've ever had!
Love the $2 store, Farmer Joe's, and Mum's Burger Kitchen. Lilypad patchwork and the Fish n chip shop are also faves.
Lots of variety and good shops with great bargains and lots of unusual products not normally found in supermarkets.
Not much has changed for so long , I don't think the owner cares & maybe the rent is too high.
Variety of shops, but definitely needs more lighting and disabled car parking
An older style of walk through mall with some interesting speciality shops
Very basic inside but quick service with great food.
Good coffee shops great bakeries. Easy parking
Great variety of shops plenty of free parking
Very run down needs more variety of shops
Not a great deal inside the mall anymore.
Very run down and in need of repairs
Somewhat limited selection of shops
Beautiful restaurants n shops
