My daughter posted a review which you responded to and I would like to explain what happened. I mistakenly took 3 of my tires and 1 of her tires to you to swap my winter tires for. I take full responsibility for this error. However, I am not a tire or automotive expert to know what the consequences of this would be. I then took my daughter's car to fountain tire (as we could not get an appointment with you) and took 3 of her tires and 1 of mine to again swap out winter tires. The result being both our cars had 3 of one size and brand and 1 of another size. My car was experiencing some changes which I thought I would need to arrange a service appointment for, but Tara's car was running rough and the brakes were compromised. She first stopped at Honda (her dealer) ask what was happening and they told her her tire was loose and ended up over torquing the bolts. Her problems continued so she booked a service appointment with Honda - who advised her about the tire size problem. They told her she would need 2 new tires and a new rim - approx. $800. We were shocked at this so we ended up at Canadian Tire who finally resolved our problem for us - they swapped out the tires and told us we needed new bolts for the one rim which was overtorqued. We both were driving with a safety issue and it all began with Bowest Motors who did not point advise me of the tire size issue. It was first my mistake I admit but I would like to think I could rely on the expertise of the people actually doing the work. Im sorry it happened, and I know you take pride in your work.

I brought my Suburban to this mechanic while visiting Calgary. I told them the brakes were making noise. After looking the vehicle over, they told me a caliper on the rear was seized, all 4 brakes were 100% worn out and all pads and rotors needed replacing. I asked for photos of the brakes to send to my husband and then was told the front wasn't as bad as initially thought. I happened to know that the front brakes were fine as I had had the wheel bearing replaced the week before on the front brakes. The pictures they provided were obviously all (except for one of a front brake) of the same rear brake. In discussion with my husband, we determined that the seized caliper made sense and the rear brakes should definitely be done. They made the repairs to the rear and I had no issues driving home to Vancouver. However, if I hadn't needed it done quickly so I could get home I would have taken it elsewhere because of their intended deception about the front brakes. They also charged me $75 for the initial inspection which they claimed originally they would waive. I also had asked for a breakdown of parts & labour which I did not get. I didn't feel like I could dispute the bill because they charged me what they said they would, but I had not seen a detailed estimate. UPDATE: I have since been refunded the inspection fee.

Normally have great service from Wing, always fast to get my vehicles in and did comprehensive work, however the latest experience was anything but positive. I have no issue with the parts that were installed as they were replaced under warranty at no cost to me or Wing. I do, however, have an issue with the service that was provided to me: I told Wing of my battery charging issues with my vehicle, and that I had replaced three alternators and a battery this year so I thought that the issue was somewhere else; I asked him to look into it. He came back to me after a couple hours and said that it was the alternator, suggested we replace it and if it failed again, upgrade to a different model. Long story short: I agreed, and one week later the alternator has failed again. My issue is that my insight into the true problem was ignored, the request to diagnose the true problem was ignored, and I have had to pay him twice to tell me that there is a problem with my truck. Apologies to the receptionist for my profanity as I left the shop today.

*update Jan 2023 Still only good things to say. I had the pleasure of chatting with Les when I dropped my vehicle off. I had some concerns about my tire shop misinforming me about break wear; as well as some general questions. The conversation left me feeling confident that I would be taken care. And I was. As always I have so much faith in Bowest Motors to shoot straight and be great. Another oil change done by Bowest, another good experience. Chelsea is stellar! I find them easy to communicate with, to book appointments with and I'm always confident that they are honest and fair. *update October 2021 Another oil change done and transmission fluids. Great service, good communication. I actually look forward to dealing with them because I know I'm going to be treated fairly. *update April 2022 They're still great. Easy to book, easy to pay, fast turn around with my appointment. I have some more costly maintenance items coming as my vehicle gets up there in KM's and I'm not as worried about it because I go to Bowest.

I’ve been to Bowest motors a few times now and each time has been a great experience. I have to say this business truly has a small town feel and by that I mean they feel like family and treat you as such. This time, I had a slow leak on one of my tires and needed to get the truck in for a repair. I was worried that I would have to drop off my tire, because I need the truck and didn’t have long to wait for it, but they were able to get me in within hours of calling and after a short wait my tire was fixed and I was on my way. No need to remove the tire in -21C temps outside to bring it in. The price, once all was said and done, was much less then other chain tire places in the area that do not treat you as nice. Bowest motors is the go to place in NW Calgary for your vehicle. They do a great job, make you feel at home, treat you like family and don’t gouge you on the final bill. What more could you ask? I’ll be going back for sure and highly recommend them to anyone that needs help with their vehicle.

My first time using this mechanic and very happy! Love that they use an app for booking that fully outlines their pricing and services, allowing you to decide ahead of time everything you need, super user friendly. Quick and easy drop off, text&email notifications make it easy to communicate at your leisure, and multiple payment options to make it easy for everyone. I appreciate the transparency and honesty of this shop, I knew my vehicle needed a few things I wouldn't be able to do, and they weren't able to complete the service without repairs. The initial service was discounted due to being incomplete, repairs done, and the incomplete service was redone at a substantial discount. When i brought my kids in to pick up the vehicle with me, they were each offered a new Hot Wheels car to take home! Thank you for the efficient service and honesty, will be recommending and using again.

Fast service, very reliable. Took my car in to get new tires, Jonathan gave me some reasonable prices and choices and was very honest with answering my questions. I also had to get something with my oil pump fixed, he said I could opt out of it and still drive my car as I was concerned about getting too much put into it as it is an older vehicle. I got it done anyway just to be safe but I appreciated the honesty and how they weren’t pushy about me getting work done that wasn’t entirely necessary. I know absolutely nothing about cars and they seem trustworthy. My final quote seemed reasonable to me as well. Do allow yourself a bit of time when you book, they couldn’t get me in until just under a week after I called but once I was in, everything was finished in a couple days. I use Bowest motors for all of my car's servicing needs and have done so for over 3 years now. They always do a great job in a timely, honest and professional manner. I booked in for an oil change earlier this week. My headlamp was almost burnt out, and I had purchsed a spare bulb the week prior and left it in the console/cupholder of my vehicle. I was dreading changing it and kept on putting the duty off. I didnt notice right away, as it was daylight when I picked my car up. But, as soon as I started my car when it was dark, I was so delighted to see my bulb had been changed- without me even asking them to do it or mentioning it was needing to be done!! What GREAT service!!!This isn't the first time I've had such an amazing experience with Bowest. They are fantastic and I highly recommend them!

Wow, what an amazing experience! While my wife and I were driving through Boweness, we unexpectedly experienced a leaking radiator. Being far away from home, we decided to pull into Bowwest Motors' parking lot, hoping for assistance. To our surprise, the staff immediately attended to us and advised that they were busy but still managed to patch up the problem to get us back on the road instead of towing our vehicle. They were extremely helpful and courteous throughout the process, taking their time to diagnose the issue and fix it, all while wearing a smile. To top it off, they did not even charge us for their services. I am incredibly grateful to the Bowwest Motors team and highly recommend them to anyone needing assistance with their vehicle. Easily the best place I've taken my vehicle to. I spoke with the owner (Les) for close to an hour on the phone before I met him in person. He was nothing but honest, patient, and very helpful when I was purchasing a vehicle and checking it out pre-purchase. I've now taken that vehicle to Bowest on various occasions, and the mechanics Dave and Paul are both awesome. In today's world, I'm pretty picky when it comes to business and services, especially living in a city with so many options. But Les and Bowest have been an absolute pleasure to deal with. Very reasonable shop rates, awesome turn-around times, very transparent and clear with what needs to be done on my vehicle. I would absolutely recommend them to everyone.

Needed a new shop to take my vehicle to - and after driving past these guys on my way to work for the past couple of years I decided to give them a try!! Great website - super easy to book - loved getting the estimate prior to bringing my vehicle in!! Dropped her off this morning - the esthetic inside is fabulous - check in was super quick - staff very friendly - got a text /email when my vehicle was done - and the invoice and inspection came via email so I could review it at my leisure before I went to pick up my car. Got to chat about music when I came in - great small business feel with that personal touch that is missing at so many places. I will be back!!!

It can be very stressful when you see that engine light come on and not the sort of thing I wanted to see when 300 km from home. When I saw the engine fault code my heart sank. It was one of those general codes that can be any number of hard to troubleshoot issues and a money pit of replacing parts and hoping you get the problem before you go broke. A disreputable shop could bleed you dry. These folks got on it and did it right. Saved me money and time and a lot of stomach lining. They deserve their high rating. Trustworthy, friendly, good service, good communication. Would not hesitate to go to them again and would recommend them in a heartbeat.

I phoned Bowest this morning in a panic realizing I needed to get my old bald winter tires off & my new ones put one the rims & balanced. There was talk of 10 cm of snow headed our way! I got a recommendation on face book to call Bowest Motors. I spoke to Jonathan this morning & asked it there was any chance they could squeeze me in today. He was very helpful & arranged it for me, if I could get there right away. They did a great job, in a timely matter,for a fair price. I would highly recommend them! Just a quick update since this last one! Bowest is still my go to shop!! They have been doing my seasonal tire change overs and oil changes since my first visit. Today I also had my tie rods replaced, not only are they quick and efficient, they keep you updated on everything. Keep up the awesome work and we will see you again in the fall. Great place! Had my truck in for a brake inspection this morning, everything was dealt with very quickly. Chelsea is very kind and super friendly. Have already booked my next visit for an oil change. This will be my new go to shop, and its practically out my front door. :)

We’ve taken our two vehicles here recently and the job they did for us was excellent! In one case a different shop Estimated a big job at $800 for a wheel issue but it all seemed fishy. Bow west did it in a morning for $180. Two weeks ago our cooling fan went haywire and our summer vacation was in jeopardy with only a few days to get it sorted out. They did it in a day and a half and here I am fishing in bc and enjoying the time off with a safe van to get us here!, These people are super nice, honest and do a great job. We’re coming here for everything we do on our vehicles from now on!!

A friend of mine was visiting from another province and needed their vehicle looked at fairly urgently. The staff at this shop initially said my friend needed an entire brake job (brakes and rotors) and ended up admitting that only the rear calliper and brakes needed replacing. When asked to provide photos of each wheel, the same photo was provided for 3 of the wheels. My friend was also charged an inspection fee which was supposed to have been waived. All in all, poor character, poor ethics, and poor representation of Calgary. Not cool, guys!

These dudes are solid, genuine, patient and transparent. Not once did I feel like I was being taken advantage of or pressured into selling my organs to pay for repairs I couldn't afford. That being said they were honest with what NEEDS to be done and what should be done. They maintained excellent communication through out the process. They were accommodating with my methods of payment and empathetic to my broke ass student situation. Thank you guys for the wonderful customer service and being so good about my filthy horse shoeing car.

Excellent service, high integrity, tech savvy, real-time communication for update via a cool app. They are too good to believe. My car had a transmission problem this week. They diagnosed it and gave a quote. When they completed the job two days later, they reduced the bill by more than half. They said they sourced the parts cheaper, and some were prefixed. They also gave a three-year or 40,00 km warranty. I am very grateful to them and will gladly recommend them to friends. I have a new friend in Les for his big heart

I have been going to Bowest Motors for a while now, and they are very courteous, professional and personable. I don't know anything about cars, so even if I have something hanging loose from underneath my car or I just want something to get quickly checked out, they are more then happy to fit me in and assist me. They are patient and explain to me what they have or haven't found. Bonus; the price is reasonable for their services as well! I trust the mechanics and I especially trust Jonathan. Les and the Bowest/Rusty Speedwerks team were a pleasure to work with both in installing performance upgrades, and fixing up odds and ends on my old hot rod chevy truck. Prices were very competitive and work was completed in a timely manner. Thanks to the awesome staff at Bowest for saving me a ton of money. I brought them my truck for diagnosis after i couldnt figure out my issue. The suggested i bring it to the dealer and i found out that its a warranty issue. I thank them for not just collecting the money for a job that was to be covered by the dealer and guiding me in the correct direction. Thanks Bowest!!! Had my Pontiac Bonniville SSEI inspected and worked on by these guys. Very pleased and satisfied with their work and attitudes. Jonathan on reception was very pleasant and took the time to talk to you on the phone and in person. Gave me my estimate and the invoice was cheaper. Will be using them again and have recommended them to my family and friends. Going to see and get a quote for a little rust that is coming through too... will let you know how they do.

My daughters Juke had a ceased engine and they removed and installed a used one which also failed. When her car shell was being taken by a car salvage and I was being underpaid by them based on agreed amount, the owner was extremely kind in his amount I owed him to remove the engine. The business owner is kind and above board in all dealings! An absolutely great business experience when all the chips were down! Thank you!!!

I paid $150 for them to tell me there was nothing they could do to fix my car as they couldn’t find the part. My brother ended up fixing it for me instead. Not only was he able to find the part, he decided to rebuilt the current part so it would last longer. Not sure if the mechanic shop just didn’t want to put the effort in or what. However I brought my car in to mount my winter tires and they did a great job with that.

I've used Bowest Motors twice now and they are stellar. I get prompt replies to my questions, they are able to book me in for times that are convenient for me and they are straight with me about what I need to get serviced on my vehicle, what I should prepare for next and what I don't need to worry about for a while. I feel like they treat me fairly and I value that. They are my shop of choice for any future work.

I have a newborn and realized the battery in my car starter was dead on the first cold day this winter. Definitely not ideal timing! I popped in without an appointment, and they replaced the battery on the spot and told me the number so I could pick up a few backup batteries at my next trip to the grocery store. Certainly got me out of a cold spot! Thanks for helping me and my son on such short notice!

Service is good and at a good price, but… If your car is over 20 years old, they won’t work on it. If your car is “complicated”, they won’t work on it. So, if you drive new and simple, this is your place!! Let me clarify as the owner's response is misleading. We were told prior to this visit that the shop would not work on Mitsubishis AT ALL as they are "complicated" regardless of age or origin.

I initially went in because my car needed some immediate attention, and Bowest was the closest shop. They were fantastic to deal with-- they got my car in quickly, followed up with a call to explain the diagnosis and estimate, fixed the problem, and it ended up costing less than anticipated. I've happily stumbled across this business and will not hesitate to take my car back to Bowest again.

These guys went above and beyond with customers' care and service. My car was fixed in a timely matter, and when the issue seemed to still be there, they re-examined and spent a lot of time and came up with a solution; dedicating many hours and mechanics; and honored as under their original work warranty. Amazing service! They were really fast with repairs and great communication with us during the service of our car. The software they use is great and allowed us to see exactly what they will repair on the car. They also told us which items were urgent repairs and what wasn't. Super appreciated the honesty. All the staff at Bowest are very helpful. I had many issues with my vehicle and they tirelessly worked on solutions for me including sourcing out parts that are obsolete. Their quality of work is great and their prices are always fair and better than any dealership. I’ve been bringing my vehicles there since 2006 and always have a good experience.

I moved to Bowness recently (within the last two years) and I started going to Bowest Motors because it's in a convenient location. But I will continue to go there because they do great work. Bowest Motors is a friendly shop that thoroughly inspected my vehicle in a timely manner. Mackenzie was helpful and informative with paperwork. David inspected my vehicle and took the time to show me the parts that needed work. I am happy with my service and if you're a local, I would not hesitate to recommend you to the shop.

I highly recommend Bowest Motors. I had last minute issues with another garage to fix my truck in time for an out of province inspection and they were always friendly and super flexible in helping me get it done in time and changing appointments. If my truck fitted their garage for repairs, I wouldn't hesitate to go back.

Can't recommend these guts enough. Brought my vehicle in for a rad flush. After discussing the overheating issue, we decided on conducting a diagnosis first. The rad flush alone wouldn't have fixed the issue as the thermostat needed replacing as well. As a bonus, the final bill was less than estimated. Well done, Bowest!

These guys are great. First time patron, knowing there are plenty of choices around the NW for service but I recommend you check these guys out. Brought my vehicle here because the front and back passenger lights weren't working. They charged me $90 to tell me that they weren't interested in fixing it but the worst part is they cut a bunch of wires and pigtails and gave it back in worse condition with more repair needed than before. Finding a new spot.

Great place!!! Went to them with a very large list of supposed repairs that needed to be done on my truck. This list was provided to me from the dealership. They went through the list with me and after an inspection, found nothing wrong with my vehicle. Very honest shop. I will definitely use them again.

Though I only needed a tire change and oil change I was impressed with the service. It took my 1 min to book my appointment online and it took only a couple hours to get it done over lunch. They even patched a nail hole I didn’t know I had, complimentary! Thorough and fair pricing. Will come again.

Cousins ford escape was stranded after the belt snapped on crowchild. We tried finding a nearby mechanic on sunday evening and decided to have it towed to Bowest. Dropped our keys in the box with a note and they did the job next day at a great price. Good shop.

Bowest Motors is just absolutely the best. I am so fortunate to live only a 5 minute drive away or a 20 minute walk. I have been in Alberta for one year as of August 2nd. and I have the great fortune to have such a caring, excellent car repair shop close by.
