Horrible customer service. I booked a delivery for a specific day. At the time of purchase I was told the courier would let me know 30 minutes before coming. I thought great, I don’t have to be there all day, but in spite of that I left the house for less than half hour in all day, I was never alerted of an upcoming delivery. Got a missed call at 5.43pm, called back at 5.47. It was the delivery guy, who had already left and could not come back. Who doesn’t wait FIVE minutes?!? I had no other messages nor phone calls. I then called Bunnings Caringbah asking to reschedule the delivery the following day early morning and the lady was extremely unhelpful just insisting she could not guarantee a time over and over again and blaming me for missing the phone call (by 4 minutes). Extremely frustrated and disappointed. What a lack of respect and what an awful experience. By the way it’s not even a free delivery, I paid for it.
The customer service at the Caringbah store is appalling. I was returning a faulty bathroom exhaust fan which stopped working shortly after installation despite being installed by a licensed electrician. I was greeted by a staff member who asked "So what is SUPPOSEDLY wrong with it?". After explaining the situation, she then got another staff member to take a closer look at the fan. This person also started off by asking "what is SUPPOSEDLY wrong with it?". Great tone guys. Do I just look like an outright liar? Why do you automatically assume the customer is attempting a dodgy return? The return was processed, which I was happy with, but then I was shocked to hear that they were going to return the exhaust fan to the shelf for another customer to buy! It wasn't until they realised I no longer had the box that they changed their plans.
I spend a LOT of money and time at bunnings, as do my family and friends.. in most cases staff are friendly and helpful. I shopped today for lengths of timber and had them cut. unfortunately they were cut short - no good to me so I had them cut a 2nd time. I suggested to the chap who cut them that shorter than 5.4mtres might be better.. his curt reply was "yeah then we'd need more storage" - i dont agree as that would depend on better attention to storage. his attitude was rude as it was his fault for cutting timbers short. I do understand the cutting is a service to customers... but not everyone can fit a 5.4mtr lump of wood in the car. Can i suggest 2 things.. A sell by the mtre B ask customers to write down their sizes.
This Bunnings is bigger and has more consistent stock levels than its sister store in Kirrawee. Better parking arrangements, good layout. Staff are always super helpful and great with returns/exchanges. Update 14/08 | 5 star store with only one exception. John in the tool shop is rude every time I've spoken to him. If you ask a question be prepared for an exasperated and grumpy response, as though you're an annoying apprentice who asks too many questions. Witnessed him yelling at other staff in full view of customers and just generally creating an awkward environment to shop in. Loses a star as the shopping experience is only as good as its weakest link. Otherwise, really great!
I don't often go to Bunnings unless it's a MUST let alone Caringbah Bunnings but the service there was just A+ 10/10. It was nice to go to a place where everyone was just so friendly and happy to just have a quick few second chat. I were able to do what i had to at the service desk and the young gurl there was very polite friendly and very courtesy. Her customer service was 10/10. Thank you Caringbah Bunnings I think I will visiting alot more now without the fear of not being helped or unprofessional help. Rated 5☆☆☆☆☆
Would give zero stars if I could. I experienced the worst customer service ever except for at the end when a lady who was meant to be on break stopped to help us because nobody else could. I guess the one star is for her. Bunnings is full of people who don't know what they are talking about but that's not the worst part. The worst part is they just say they don't know and don't offer to find a solution for you, they don't even ask another team member. I will be avoiding it like the plague from now on.
Fantastic large store but best of all was the service in the tools department - just incredible. A bloke called Dave handled every inquiry with precision even when I asked him questions about other sections of this huge store he knew exactly where everything was in the shop even things in the paint department bathroom department the cleaning section not just the toolshop I’ve never experienced that at Bunnings before Good on ya Dave
My recent experiences at Bunnings Caringbah have lead to a transformation in my view of the behemoth. Marni in Paint is a legend offering sound advice and plenty of tips and tricks. Several other staff members have gone out of their way to assist with locating items and again offer some useful tips. As I cannot get a tradie to turn up for love nor money, I'm doing 99% of my Reno's myself. That includes plumbing and most electrical.
I just wanted to give my thanks to Robyn who was so patient and helpful with me in purchasing some plant pots. She went above and beyond to help me find the specific pot I was after, then helped lay them out so I could decide which of the two I was torn between to get. I've had good experiences at Bunnings Caringbah before, but never to the extent to which Robyn went. You have a wonderful, kind and warm employee on your hands!
This is the largest Bunny's store I've visited. Two levels and the largest range I've seen. Underground parking is just way too convenient and makes the visit really simple. I wish my local bunny's had this. Love the Shire service, was good to banter and chat with the team. The store layout is simple and flows nicely and the double level makes it feel like I don't need to walk miles to get what I need.
The best Bunnings around! Under cover carparks so no more stinking hot car! Never had issue finding a carpark, even during peak holiday timea. Nice and cool inside. Staff are very friendly & extremely helpful. Still has the cafe, playground, and plant nursery inside. Dogs are welcome as long as they are either; muzzled & on lead, carried or in a trolley. Will never go back to Bunnings Kirrawee.
Do not get a kitchen from Bunnings Caringbah. So many issues to begin with, no staff or customer service willing to help. Horribly priced quote, leave you short with supplies and have no idea how to design a kitchen properly as they advise it’s DIY but expect you to ‘cut back’ flat packs and take forever to deliver. Would recommend going to Nobbys, kitchen connection, IKEA or anywhere else.
I was in this store for the first time today morning and I confess that the treatment i had for the first time was not pleasant and the result was that unfortunately I left without buying any product. It's unbelievable how an old man who looks like has a lot experience in life can be so rude at first time in the day. Normally I have the best experiences at Bunnings but today was terrible.
2 levels, massive and we'll set out. I couldn't believe how much stock they have and the sausages on Saturday mornings are all for good causes. I love Bunnings I go there to solve most problems and I think I found my new go to Bunnings store. (Please make a discount membership cards for none trade) ( A point system would be really good and I could see how much I really spend there a year)
Was a good Bunnings, three stories high( including the car park), staff were very friendly and when asked where a product was pointed us not in the exact location but the general area of where it could be. Car park was good for a under building car park well lit, it also has a lift for ease of access with large objects. Overall it is a good Bunnings and won’t disappoint
Easy peasy, as always I go at the quieter times. Easy to park, easy to find stuff (hint, if you check online beforehand it will tell you if want you want is in stock AND the aisle/bay # where you’ll find it). Not that it stops me also browsing. Friendly staff and bonus if it’s a weekend arvo (mid-mornings are busier) and you get a sausage sizzle
Peter served us at the paint counter tonight and provided absolutely exceptional service. He has excellent product knowledge and tried his best with unlimited attempts to match the colour we needed even though we were after a sample pot. Being a long term customer of bunnings he has truly given me the best service I have ever experienced in years.
Overall the store is great with an extensive range and well laid out. However, there special orders section is understaffed and because they haven't trained the other staff to do special orders there are very long queues. So shop here but avoid using there special orders section unless you are very patient and have a lot of time on your hands.
Not much good today, went looking to get plumbing advice. Could not find any one to help. Asked at tool cashier , told to look for a personal in aisle. Said I could not find any one, they apologized. So did not buy a toilet sweat and left for another Shop. Staff could have got on phone and arrange for someone to meet me in the plumbing aisle.
Rang for advice on availability of a product .Waited for about 25 minutes. Listened to the recording repeat 11 times. Finally got to speak to the manager. Can’t be convinced that anything will change soon. Sad ,pathetic performance. Bunnings has forced family owned hardware stores out of business and now we are stuck with whatever.
My first time here at the new Bunnings Caringbah and I love it. A very large two story store with a huge range. Most of the Team Members said hi as they past me. The girl on front register definitely deserves employee of the month, she was very polite to everyone in line as they were served and service with a huge smile.
The last few times have been great. I bring in bits and pieces I need mending or photos of stuff that is broken that I need to mend but no clue how. Generally the staff are extremely helpful ... and knowledgeable too. Plus the store is immense and always parking. Its my 'go to' place for most things at a pretty good $
Bunnings Caringbah: Thank you Bill for not giving up on me. He walk back and forth helping me search for the product I was after. He asked around and came back multiple times with a possible solution. When he finally found it, he came looking for me to give it to me. Thank you so much!! I really appreciate your help.
Clayton was very helpful and knowledgeable. He should be promoted. He went above and beyond which is unusual from my previous experience at Bunnings stores. Usually I can’t find anyone to help me and when I do I usually know just as much as they do if not more. Not in this case. Clayton is an exception.
Good selection of stock, great amount of parking but staff are clueless about stock. I asked three different people about where a particular item was , each gave me a vacant stare and gave me three different locations. So I got stuff I didn't need because it was cheap but left without what I came for.
Horrible service, took 1 hr to cut a key, the retail lady was lazy and clearly incompetent. Not only that I'm appalled by her behaviour she was speaking inappropriately about her colleges in front of us which prolonged an already lengthy process. Will never return because of the horrendous service.
We were looking for artificial pond and Clayton on the night shift was being a top bloke and helpful throughout the whole last minute experience. He definitely made a difference. Overall good place to visit clean and organised, however weekend traffic along the main road can be quite congested.
Very bad experience, the stuff gave wrong infomation,my type was flat when I arrived at bunnings, I asked for inflator. She said it was sold out with confidence. And recommend me the manual one. Instead I have to call car services ,which cost me 120Aud.Then I found they have a lot on sale.
Paid $100 dollars for the delivery down the road and they couldn’t even get that right. Don’t schedule anything with them that requires accuracy because they’ll find some way to waste your time. Knowledge at the stores has also gone to ground along with any form of customer service.
Thanks to Daniel in the building materials section. Was very helpful with my request to the point of finding me to bring me a better solution he had found after I had initially walked away from his section happy with the first option. Legend buy the man a beer. …
Even though Google maps says it is very busy, as it should be on a Sunday morning/afternoon, there is still ample parking available and enough room for people to navigate with trolleys throughout the store. Super helpful staff, can always find what I’m looking for.
Nice to have a local store at Caringbah. Always good customer services, helpful suggestions. Not only me enjoy shopping in store, kids also enjoy Easter and Xmas store activities with lots of fun and sweets. Do Will shop more here in the future.
No wheelchair trolleys to assist when required, please assist. Other than that who doesn't love a trip to Bunnings. Caringbah has a very large volume of products to choose from or view when you need to get ideas and innovate at home …
Great store. Neil in the power tools section gave me a great bit of info in all the bits and pieces I needed to start building a cubby for the kids. A good crew of people, and everything you could need. Well laid out and easy to find things.
Disappointing, wanted some help, couldn't find anyone went to front and lady asked for assistance over the loud system. Waited in aisle 18 further 5 mins, one guy walked passed and said he was busy.. I took my heavy cupboard to check out,
David in Paints department Caringbah Gets my top vote His superviser ( tall bald guy at nights) had little time for my colour match telling me 80% is as good as it gets. But David went on to try and improve it and he acheived 110% result
I was so very impressed with a member of staff today in the Caringbah store called David Clapper. I would like to Thank him for being extremely professional & incredibly patient while helping me today. Such wonder customer service!!
Love my local Bunnings. It has everything I could possibly need, great staff, easy parking out of the weather and plenty of free trailers for bulky items. The new store was well worth the wait. Would give it 6 stars if I could!
Probably one of Bunnings biggest stores! You don't need a review, if you've been into a Bunnings you've been into them all really. It's one of those stores where you wander, seeing items you didn't know you couldn't live with!
Huge new complex with travelator access from the two level car park right through to the two level store. Lifts also available. Great shopping experience. Great variety. Great staff. Also smooth hiring process. Love your work
This Bunnings is a quintessential example of what a Bunnings should be with a large parking good service and a tonne of products which fit every type of personality. I recommend it strongly if you need a place to shop.
Thank you Matthew for your customer service-informed, took time to investigate options for the product I was seeking & kind. Bunnings you are fortunate to have Matthew as part of your staff. Congratulations young man.
What's not to like at Bunnings! Plenty of parking although travelators are required to get between carpark and store. Massive store with everything you ever need from a hardware and outdoor living/entertainment needs.
We go there all the time. It's a massive store with everything you could need. The staff are always very helpful. Special thanks to Keith, who helped us pick a lawn mower this weekend and gave us a lot of good advice.
The Staff are wonderful , Darny, Andy, Peter And wonky eye and more who go out of there way to help thay should have a little something to say that you for your service as they go beyond they requirements …
Sophie was so helpful and kind towards my special needs kid. She made it a great, relaxing experience to shop there and I look forward to going back (even though there's another Bunnings much closer to me)
Very nice, the menu was a bit limited and very filling and heavy food,, but that's Greek. Octopus was a bit tough and lamb was nice but not what I expected. I was expecting better, but overall quite good.
Good variety of product and cost.spacious.staff good. More available in aisles. Also do variety of payment methods. excellent parking space n very accessible by lift or travelator or stairs.a winner.
This place is friken huge. First bunnings I have been in with two massive floors. And the sausage sandwich was very tasty. Big sausage. Onions .low price. Can of drink $1.50 takes me back to the 90's
A huge store with everything DIY you could need. Stu in the painting section was so kind and knowledgeable. He spent a lot of time explaining the best products and techniques to use when painting.
A great 2 level Bunnings with heaps of undercover parking, 2 big lifts & knowledgeable staff. You have to be on your game as you can spend hours in here just looking at all of the great stock.
Awesome Bunnings. But please for the love of god. Swap the escalators around. They are opposite and constantly trip trying to go up the wrong side! Watched someone face plant this morning!!
So big so clean so full so organised and the customer service is top level. Plenty of parking i highly recommend this bunnings, you will find more than you expect and at great prices.
Easy to access, lots of parking, great staff and huge selection. Always willing to price match and beat a competitor by 10%. Grateful to have a Bunnings like this right in Caringbah.
Hard to find a team member for help. Too often they are like "busy". Then wanted to buy GU10 lamp holders (very basic stuff). The guy said: we don't have them and never had. Nice.
Hahaha there's a tradie walking around with no shoes on, buys a heap of stuff from the trade desk. What do the staff do? Nothing, must have really good insurance. Hahahahaha
Helpful staff, lots of products. Only drawback is the 2 level layout, it's a travellator which makes it easy with trolleys etc, but personally I just prefer 1 level stores.
Great... Plenty of parking. Two huge lifts from level to level with your mountain of supplies. So easy to access. I love Bunnings. They always seem to have what I need.
Rachel from the painting section helped me find a white matte paint, even though I rudely interpret her while she was doing something, she was extremely helpful
Rang to find out if bulbs in store, web site said yes, 3 transfers then cut off. Went to store, going off product in store (web site) none , wasted journey.
Semi helpful staff prior to closing, not the usual can do attitude. Timber section was like chasing a ghost. Sorry Bunnings, but only a 4 this time.
Huge 2 level store well stocked. Just don't ask for assistance. Junior staff don't have a clue. Come on management- try some adequate training.
They didn't have the item I wanted so I had to go to Caringbah. However, at least they were able to check that the other branch had stock.
Easy under cover parking and access, which means your car doesn't get hot in Summer. Great range and I felt staff were very helpful.
Plenty of parking and easy access. Love the free fast EV charger but unfortunately it is often broken. Only has one CCS plug.
Staff always helpful and always find what we want. Only thing it would be great if you stocked more things made in Australia.
Big Bunnings. Not my local so struggled to find things but the store had a good feel to it and staff were helpful as usual!
Always Fantastic Staff who are very Knowledgeable, Friendly and Helpful in All aspects, Best Bunnings I've ever been to
I don't like the split level. Boy wonder on the forklift needs an attitude adjustment. Other staff were really helpful.
Fast quick easy hardware store 2 levels parking .And lift straight up to garden section from carpark awesome …
Be careful when buying boxed items here. This week I've bought two separate items that have been opened, damaged,
Been a handful of times. Staff are always very helpful so I'm in and out in no time! Store is easy to navigate.
Big, tidy two levels by travelator, two levels of parking, 3m clearance for underground parking. No complaints.
By far the best store in the 20k radius. Brilliant customer service, always stocked up and great parking
Another huge Bunnings on multiple levels with access for all . Huge inventory and professional service.
Multi Level Bunnings with everything you will ever need for dyi. Friendly staff and easy to find good
A great Bunnings. Extensive shop with everything you need. Staff always helpful. Underground parking.
Thanks Andrew when I had question regarding the kitchen tap today. Really appreciate your help!
Waited half an hour for plumbing repairs but did not come. I then left Bad customer service
Like all Bunnings stores this has a great range of goods for the handyman and professional
Huge place with everything you could possibly think of. Great prices and easy parking too!
✔️Good parking space ✔️Bigger store with plenty of stock ✔️ Nice staff ✔️ Clean and tidy
This store is huge and caters very well for the handicapped. Friendly and helpful staff.
Amazing customer service by your team member Laurie! (Hope I spelled his name right)
Easy to park and a lot of options to buy. Thanks for make everything easy to find.
Great place to shop power tools, building material and gardening products.
Easy to find, plenty of parking and staff are pretty good/friendly
Extremely rude staff. They assume their customers are thieves
The only place I will visit for my house decor purpose
Don't use Bunnings marketplace. It's terrible.
Huge, comprehensive, polite and helpful staff.
Staff are really helpful. Heaps of parking.
Helpful staff and a huge store, love it!
Always love Bunnings and great savings
Cheapest around. Great staff
