I’ve come here a few times now for dinner with friends always around 5-7pm The first two times were outstanding food and service. We felt like we were really being looked after and the food served to us was both lovely too look at and had really strong unique flavours! However the last two visits were very disappointing One I had a booking for, at the same time there was a rather rowdy bachelor party. The female host for the night did an AMAZING job of trying to keep them away from me and my friend. Always impressed by her work. We were then told unfortunately the kitchen was closed but we still chose to order our drinks. 10 minutes later we were told the kitchen was back open and our order was again taken. The drinks themselves took about 20 minutes to come out to us and bar staff were prioritising serving the bachelor party that arrived after us. We waited and hour and 20/30 minutes I think for our food order, at one point we saw a staff member leave and come back with multiple bags of woolies oven chips bags. Food for the bachelor party was served before ours. In the end I went up to explain we had an event to attend and the owner very kindly excused us of the drink costs. I am unsure why we were told the kitchen was back open when it seemingly was not ready go. These things happen and Would’ve been quite happy to just have the drinks, with perhaps a shorter wait time for them. I brought another friend here without a booking around 6pm Friday night. We were seated and then left unattended for 20 minutes. I had to go to the bar before someone came over to take our order. She did apologise for the delay and was very friendly. I believe this is the same woman who I was dealing with my last visit. Eventually I got up to the bar to ask for the water we requested 30 minutes ago. About 40 minutes passed and we still had not received the drinks ordered or our food. We watched as bar staff served others drinks who had arrived after us. Again I had to apologise to the owner and say that we did have an event to attend and could not wait any longer. He was very apologetic one more. All in all the food here is honestly wonderful and the attitudes of the staff are friendly and helpful, but the service seems very disjointed as of late especially the blazé seeming attitudes of the specifically bar staff and long wait times for service. Visited yesterday for Sunday roast - some of us just had beef whilst others were charged just shy of $50 for a roast with two meats (beef and pork) that came cold, cold yorkshire puddings, sparce meat (when paying an additional $14pp, you’d expect more than just two slices of each), and not enough trimmings/sides for a group of 9 people. When advising of the cold food, we were told “it had been busy”. We asked if we could have warm yorkshire puddings, but were denied. When asking for more sides as some people hadn’t had a chance to try certain things, we were told they had run out of food. All food. Approximately 45 mins later they were carrying out roasts for a different table. We felt like we’d been mugged off. Very poorly managed situation. Could have at least offered a round of drinks if “no food was left”? Nothing. Food was good quality, review would have been 5 stars had it been warm and had staff been (at least a bit) considerate towards paying customers.

A terrible experience here tonight Table booker but not available so seated us at large table instead Loud dance music for a small Sunday roast evening with speakers crackling and distorting Really Asahi tap beer run out. Manager dismissive telling us he would get staff to take order and didn’t We came for roast with sides special. After waiting 20 mins to place order as manager ignored us several times and staff were oblivious we were there we then got food without half sides and told they had run out. Manager was dismissive of our complaint and could only tell us he would try and do something at register later. But could not tell us what that would be. Others having same experience. Manager just blaming every one and everything else and being so blasé about it all. We left food on table and left and had a lovely meal and service at prince of wales. Go there instead!!

I brought a group of 30 to Bunny Bar for the bottomless bbq for my 30th over the weekend and we had an absolute blast! It’s a cute little bar with a lovely jazzy atmosphere and the most friendly and accommodating staff. The drinks were so tasty and the food was amazing as well, my favourite dish was the pulled pork sliders! The only thing was that I loaded up on the yummy bread and chutney too quickly so by the time the rest of the food came out I was full haha, I’ll definitely be pacing myself next time! I’d like to give a special shout out to Spencer and Titania who were such a vibe and looked after us so well both in the planning stages and once we arrived on the day. Thank you so much for making my 30th such a memorable birthday, you’ll definitely be seeing me again!

Just had one of the best date nights ever at Bunny What are the odds that chef Matt (look for the "never trust a skinny chef" t-shirt) would be the one asking if we were taken care of, and explaining the specials to us. We said does that come in a vegan option? He said, say no more, took the menus and then brought us enough food to make us explode. And cocktails to boot. We really got the chef's table experience. Not pictured were the chips which when combined into the massaman dipping sauce gave a flavour bomb unlike I've had before. Think the best part of finding a potato rose in your massaman curry except that potato is deep fried crunchy and covered in kimchi salt. Who knew that mixing smoked American barbecue and South East Asian food would make such a fusion. Thank you so much Matt. Your generosity is testament to your success. I am utterly disgusted at the appalling management and disorganisation of this establishment. I booked a week ago for 5 people for the Sunday roast and drove over an hour to get there for a 6.30pm reservation. Upon arrival, we stood around for 15 minutes whilst two girls behind the bar ignored us completely, a few other wait staff walk around us and also ignored us, and then the "manager" finally acknowledged us and informed us that there was no more food and that the kitchen had run out. No remorse, no apology, no communication to let us know earlier, just matter of factly said that the chef had underordered and they had nothing left. The place was about a third full and we left hungry and furious. There is no excuse for this kind of unprofessional, disorganised chaos. Do yourself a favour - don't waste your time, go somewhere else!

such a beautiful and convenient location! close to public transport and just a short 5min walk down to the beach upon arrival staff was friendly and was ready to assist us with seating and menu suggestions the bbq'd meats are made fresh on the day as you can see the smoker outside - and the meats are absolutely delicious i managed to get my hands on their Ramen with Smoked Beef Brisket and Ramen with Smoked Pork Belly absolutely loved these combinations! ramen noodles and broth made the perfect pairing for these smoked meats! (you def want to get another serving of the smoked pork belly - they were to die for!) and be aware of their spice levels, the baby spice is quite mild but as you start to turn up the heat level it goes from fire to death! dont forget to add the hot sauce on ur loaded fries! its insanely good!

Excellent for dinner and drinks or just drinks (and snacks). They nailed the Asian-Texan fusion. Today we had the brisket and pork belly If you want melty smoked meat with Asian flavours, come here. Bar is top notch, with a varied and high quality choice of cocktails, tap beers or cider and sake. This afternoon, we were given a sample of a be dish called gyoza sausages. They were so yummy and went well with their Dictator Dang hot sauce. They also give Kewpie, Sriracha, togarashi, and some other green hot sauce made by the kitchen. Tonight's dessert was a chocolate tarte with caramel sauce. It was smooth, creamy and the chocolate had just the right amount of bitterness to complement the mains. Great to spend the afternoon drinking the weekend away or have a delicious dinner with equally thirst quenching cocktails.

Went on a Sunday for the roast and booked, got there at 5.30. Did not get seated for 20 mins, didn't get food for the next hour after that. Multiple tables around us complaining, I think we saw 7 or 8 complaints. Staff had no idea how long food would be or even any idea what things had run out! One table got given the wrong food and half the sides they had advertised and left after talking to the manager leaving the food untouched on the table. I can't believe the amount of good reviews for this place if they can't function as a restaurant! 3 separate tables left after us without paying. Manager apologised and said this was an off day. Don't believe it for a second.

Where should I start……. So my bank card got swallowed by the ATM here early hours of Sunday morning , door security angrily advised me to give my details to management , who’mever took my name advised gently hitting the atm machine to see would it spit it back out , next of all I am dragged from inside the door of the venue outside where multiple witnesses seen two door security using excessive force leaving me unconscious waiting on paramedics, currently have multiple face fractures. How is this acceptable, do not recommend this place unless you want to be left in A&E with a $1300 ambulance fee!

The waiter was so attentive and nice, he offered us complimentary drinks and chips because we were waiting for slightly more than an hour for our food to come (that explains the four stars, would’ve given it a five if our food came faster). Very delicious! We got a platter to share between 3 people. It was totally enough. Staff were really nice and attentive, the atmosphere was really nice as well. The bar had a little stage and the decorations were super cute with the bunnies everywhere. I really enjoyed this meal. I’ve added a few photos from my experience. The food was great, generous portions, still very moist as well. As most bbq houses I have visited before, the meat were smoked and dry , however these were soft falling off the bone and moist. We also ordered some sides, corn and brocolini. Beautifully cooked.

Dined for dinner. We shared the hot smoked Tasmanian salmon croquettes & brisket cheese bomb taco for entree, I had the half serve pork ribs with peach/chilli glaze & hubby had the cheeseburger royale for main. All the food was tasty. I loved the classic margarita cocktails, they were so good I had 2 of them & they were delicious. We sat in one of the booths which was comfortable.

Terrible experience. Waited an hour and no food and that was after booking and being told to wait for 20 mins after getting there at our booking time. So many customers complaining, staff were clueless. We complained and left when we had been there an hour and a half and no food to be seen. Would not recommend this to my worst enemy. First meal out of Melbourne lockdown was at Bunny for my anniversary, the food was amazing couldn’t fault a single thing I put in my my mouth, the drinks were phenomenal they even make their own canned cocktails in house which were out of this world! The owner and staff in general were so kind constantly checking in to see how our meal and drinks were going as well as cracking some jokes for a bit of fun banter- honestly fell in love with Bunny in one visit everyone go check it out ASAP!!!!

Tried for the first time, wasn't perfect but quickly fixed and showed a good understanding of food intolerances. Went back tonight on the promise of a sauce that had no onion garlic or wheat and boy were my expectations exceeded! The meal was DIVINE. Great, tender porterhouse steak, fresh salad, the best chips and a SAUCE, a delicious compliant- to-my-intolerances sauce! Did I say it was delicious? It was lip smackingly gorgeous. Go to Bunny! The food is great!

Always amazing food here, great service and Matt, the owner, couldn’t be more hospitable. Many a Fireball shot has been shared with him! Be sure to order the Mac n cheese, it’s a sensation and they do the best steaks in town! We always enjoy our time at Bunny and will keep going back again and again!

Tried the full menu at Bunny and will definitely be back - we tried the Feed me option which included chicken, prawns, pork belly, beef brisket, corn and more - all so very delicious, cooked to perfection and beautiful sauces accompanying the meat. Absolutely loved the Yuzu Flute, refreshing and perfect for summer, also tried the Deluxe Espresso Martini and Tropical Bunny - strong but good. Top service from Josh and Michael!

If you have a hankering for brisket then stop by and get one of their brisket rolls from the carvery. They dont skimp on the brisket and it’s full of flavour with a wonderful covering of juicy melt in your mouth fat. Would have liked a bit of the bark so could really get the full seasoning but for $15 who’s complaining, just make sure you grab a few napkins, you’ll need them. The pineapple bbq sauce is the bomb.

the brunette female bartender upstairs made eye contact with me over the course of 15 minutes and ignored me. all i wanted was water and she was serving everyone else around me and her “best mate” that randomly pushed in to the front. i didn’t look or act intoxicated at all. she was extremely rude and made me not want to return to the venue. my friend charlie also agrees with me also.

Bunny bar is our favourite local restaurant. The food is honestly incredible (the meat platters esp the beef brisket are out of this world). The staff are such good value. They felt like friends after only a couple of visits! They look after their regulars. The dogs often get a little snack of their own which is so lovely.

You wouldn’t know it at first glance, but this bar does some really great American style barbecue with tons of vegan options. Had a delicious chicken parm burger plus some grilled broccolini and mushrooms which I didn’t get a photo of because I scarfed them down so fast. Service was also so friendly and accomodating, highly recommend supporting this little spot.

The lamb ribs were the best ribs I have ever had and the steak was cooked perfectly. The staff were great and the atmosphere was brilliant with the free pool table.

We hosted a hens party here yesterday from 5pm onwards and had the most fantastic time. From liaising with Vanessa, the events coordinator to the bar staff, nothing was too much trouble. We were able to plug in our own music, use the TV and have personalized cocktails for the hen. Couldn’t recommend Bunny more highly- it made our night. Thanks to all x

Came for the newly launched rib night and can i say it did not disappoint. Ribs were tender and fell off the bone, the chicken was crunchy and moist. Definitely recommend coming down for a feed. Staff were super friendly and attentive aswell. Just all round good vibes.

Delicious food and friendly, welcoming staff. We’ve been here multiple times and it’s always amazing. The gravy/sauce for the roast is to die for. The Thursday bottomless tacos are such good value for $30!! The meat platters have great variety. Just so yum! And the dogs often get a little treat cooked up for them too!

I am rarely wowed by a sandwich..... Today I experience the French Dip, following a recommendation by the friendliest staff. I had no idea what I was in for, so no expectations. Now I have to rethink how a sandwich can be, the bar has been set high... very high, probably this is the top in fact. Get one and see ;)

Absolutely incredible Sunday Dinner, huge feed of excellent quality dishes served by attentive staff! This might be our new Sunday roast place! If I could fault anything it's the roast potatoes could be crisper and lose the skin and maybe more / bigger yorkies but probably the best roast Ive had in Melbourne!

Had the barbecue platter for 2. Only disappointment in the fact I could not eat it all. I found it incredible value. Went back 2 days later to enjoy the tacos. More great food. The staff were very friendly as well.

Stopped in on holiday.The Pastrami was excellent, the Lamb ribs where great aswell. Excellent customer service and the team seem to have a general passion for food. Would highly recommend if in Melbourne.

Was recommended to visit for the BBQ. Very well done! The Japanese additions are fantastic. Only comment was that the karage chicken and ribs were too salty. Calm down, it's not competition BBQ.
