Our wedding at Burgh House was everything we dreamed of and more. The venue's atmospheric charm won our guests over, with many declaring it the best wedding they've attended. Culinary excellence shone through, especially with the bouillabaisse and Thai green curry, which were nothing short of remarkable. The compliments we received on both the setting and the cuisine were plenty. Heartfelt thanks to the staff for playing a pivotal role in our memorable day. Highly recommend for an unforgettable experience.

Lovely Queen Ann mansion that now serves as a museum and exhibition centre. At time of writing there is an exhibition of sketches of Hampstead Heath by Margaret Rowney on the ground floor. The first floor contains the museum which charts the history and development of Hampstead as a Spa centre in 1700's to trendy place for artists in the earlier years of the 20th Century, to modern day Hampstead. Free to visit, but they appreciate a donation. There is a Caffè and WC at the house, and nice seating area outside.
This review relates only to the cafe. Lovely snack/tea experience, great outdoor and indoor ambiance, but shame the young staff in the kitchen and counter area wouldn't shut up! Constantly chatting among themselves, unaware it seems that their conversations and general 'horsing around' were on full display to the customers. Not good at all, especially since we were the customers sitting nearest to the noise.

We used Burgh House as the venue for a funeral reception recently. It is a beautiful venue and the level of service provided by the admin and catering staff, both in the lead-up to the day and on the day itself, was outstanding. More than that, the sheer kindness, compassion and care that we received from all the staff touched us deeply and made a difficult occasion a tiny bit more bearable. Thank you to everyone at Burgh House. We can't praise them highly enough.
I came here at around 10.30am. It was almost full, but we managed to find a seat without having to queue. I had a lovely tea with a lemon and coconut cream. It was a very generous piece and really tasty. Staff were dressed up for Halloween and were super nice. All the sweets were on display and looked amazing, I wanted to try everything! Will go back if I get the chance.

A wonderful georgian house, well-maintained and run by volunteers with free entry but donations welcome. Interestingly, this property feels like a home rather than one run by one of the big organisatio. À wonderful feel to it. A small cafe in the basement. there is a small cottage garden surroundinģ the property. I would highly recommend this property if you're in the area or a local.
The house itself was closed when I visited on 30th December, however the cafe was open. Don’t order the pancakes! Half an hour and £8.50 later and the “American” pancakes arrived. Three tiny, flat, sad looking scotch pancakes like the ones you buy in Tesco, with a blob of cream and soaked in honey.

Burgh House is a must to see, whether you're a resident or visitor to Hampstead. The architecture is lovely, there's a lot to see, and special exhibitions are often on display. There's a cafe for refreshments and resting one's feet after a long day walking around the Heath, and there's even a little gift shop inside the house. It's beautiful!
I've been to this façade since February 2017 with my Dad. It wasn't difficult to get there from Hampstead London Underground stn too. The lady I spoke to sounds nice after I asked about the photography. I did get permission for this etc. The museum is a bit small on the 1st floor and the café looks tidy. It's located in the basement floor.
Some interesting artwork. Not a huge amount to look at, but still a pleasant find. Francoise greeted me and was extremely helpful. Lovely food served in the cafe, but it got very busy and the service was very slow and not particularly friendly.

Really lovely event venue. Attended a classical music recital recently. Only one issue. Too many seats crammed into an extremely small space. Affected the quality of the overall experience. No view. Little air. Tight squeeze.

Lovely house museum lost in the wonderful Hampstead village. It has a very cozy coffee shop with a garden area that are quintessential English. The food was nice but pricey, and the atmosphere buzzy. Worth the visit.

The cafe at Burgh House is the best in Hampstead. The atmosphere is uniquely charming and the breakfast is superb. The staff are genuinely kind and went out of their way to make our visit exceptional. No walk to the Heath is complete without a stop at the Burgh House cafe.
Lovely staff, cozy cafe. One tip would be working on quality and consistency of the coffee. Ordered two cappuccinos that were three quarters full with overdrawn espresso, then topped off with foam, but no steamed milk. Hope that they might be better next time. More
Lovely art inside and lovely cafe with outside seating. only 5 minute walk from Hampstead tube, whether you're a resident or visitor to Hampstead, Burgh House is a hidden gem, a place must to see.

The most magical beautiful, inspirational pplace, My friend held her mothers wake and the catering was super, the staff all wonderful, A memorable experience. The café is worth a visit...its like stepping back in time. Thank you
Burgh house is the heart of Hampstead community and it is doing a great job being the center of activity and culture within the community. They have live music on the weekend and it would make a magical wedding venue!
Discovered this place and what a gem of a find for chamber music, who puts on early evening recitals. I had the pleasure of listening to Equinox Duo Who are a flute and harp combo,
Coffee and cake and more. Annoyingly, it's closed on Monday and Tuesdays. Visit #3: for the surroundings, ambience and value, this has to be one of the better places in Hampstead.
Walk by to visit. Unfortunately it is not open on tuesday. Look beautiful on a sunny day.
