JUNE 2020 REVIEW We are absolutely thrilled with our Buy East journey with Will Hotson. Wish we had called sooner! We searched for many years to find the right house in a competitive Eastern suburbs market. We had been to so many open homes and auctions, reviewed countless contracts, scoped various properties with builders and been incredibly close so many times…. but we never managed to secure our own home! With a new baby on the way and it being an absolute necessity to move from our current home, we were getting a bit desperate. We gave Will a near impossible task - a 3 bedroom light filled house with a garden, north aspect at rear, on a quiet street, on a budget, easy parking, closer to the beach, close enough to the action but far enough from the action to be peaceful, close to a dog and kid friendly park, potential for future growth, close to the best public primary schools in the east… the list of demands goes on! Not to mention the biggest demand - we would need to renovate and get moved in comfortably before baby arrives! We didn’t really think it was possible but he did it - and in just 4 weeks! There are some big differences that make the Buy East team so unique. 1. They know all the ins and outs of the East - insider knowledge of the streets, what is and isn’t likely possible for a renovation, how to add value, what sold/when/how much/issues, even right down to if there were known troublesome neighbours or future developments on the street. 2. They provide great value at every step of the process and considered things we would never have thought of. Will's advice and ideas on renovations were incredibly valuable and made all the difference. 3. The assistance wasn’t limited to just finding the property - everything was covered…. Recommendations of lawyers for contacts, mortgage brokers, renovation companies and more. 4. The assistance throughout the settlement period has been beyond helpful. 5. Most importantly though, they are connected in al the right ways. We purchased a property that, despite previously being on every mailing list on the eastern suburbs, we would never otherwise have seen. Will’s relationships ensured we saw this off market property as soon as it was for sale. And once we knew we wanted it, Will moved at the speed of light to help us secure our property. We are very impressed with Will - he is a "real human being" who understands budget, the needs but also wants of a home, realities of family life etc. He is prompt, well informed, on the ball and an absolute delight to work with. Couldn’t speak more highly of Will, Mark and the Buy East team. We were a tough client to please - we wanted it all - we got that and then some. Thank you from our little family! My partner and I began our housing journey just as the market in the Eastern Suburbs went totally crazy. With very few properties appearing ‘on market’ and those that did selling for 20% plus above the guide we thought there was little hope. We then came across the ‘perfect’ home for us – a small townhouse in Randwick but of course at auction it flew past the guide (and the little bit extra we had in our back pocket just in case) – however the sales agent had pointed us towards Ronan at Buy East. Ronan first contacted us prior to the Randwick townhouse going to auction he was ready to provide advice and guide us as best he could without asking for payment or a contract for his services – he genuinely wanted to help and this was the best advert he could have provided for himself. After the initial disappointment of not securing our ‘perfect’ house the first phone call I made was to Ronan and my partner and I were clients the next day. Ronan and Chris were immediately on the case. Having been sceptical of how many off-market opportunities there really were, we were pleasantly surprised to immediately receive details of about ten properties which roughly met our brief and the simple advice of ‘go and view everything’ and the housing details kept rolling in! Ronan and Chris took the time to be available for everything we wanted to see and indeed we saw almost everything they sent us! Each time honing down closer into what we really wanted in a property and then they sent us details of a property in Botany – now I’d agreed to see anything – but Botany was not where I wanted to be but with some gentle persuasion I dutifully turned up to my viewing convinced I would hate it. But, of course, there is a method in the madness – they had found a large 3 bedroom townhouse, backing onto a park, within walking distance to the local primary school set behind the most amazing heritage property. Botany was a gem of a find and we were virtually the first people in to see it off market. Ronan and Chris really helped keep our goals in mind and gently encouraged us out of our comfort zone to meet our brief and they succeeded in two weeks! They did it with a sense of humour and a large amount of charm (typical estate agents!). I was almost sorry that we succeeded so quickly. Thanks to Ronan and Chris we have actually found our perfect first family home at a great price. I couldn’t recommend them highly enough.

Hi all, I had engaged BuyEast's services in early 2023 and had exchanged Property Contracts just a few weeks afterwards This is a fairly lengthy review but I just want to provide context to the candid and professional delivery of their services. I am effectively a first home buyer and was scoping opportunities across the Eastern/Northern Beaches for a few months . I engaged a few Buyers Agents across the East, each having their own style and approach to engaging my prospective services. I met both Mark and Will for coffee for the initial introduction to BuyEast. Both great guys - they documented everything that I was looking for, what was important to me, timeframes and what the process looks like in scoping properties in and around the area. We recently purchased our dream home in Woollahra through Will Hotson and Mark Cadry at Buy East. Despite buying and selling a number of properties in Sydney's eastern suburbs over the past decade, this was only the second time we had worked with a buyers' agent. Our first experience with a buyers agent (not Buy East) was 6 years ago and lead to a very disappointing result.
