I'd caution against using this Emergency Room. On Saturday, 4/29/2023, I reported to this ED around noon for food poisoning. I did not get back to my hotel until 9:30pm. Now I've been a hospital receptionist, a clinic receptionist, a medical assistant, a patient educator on a triage/care advice line, a hospitalist group manager, and now I'm a project manager for a medical association. I'm also a health education specialist and have a master of health administration degree. I did not tell any of the staff I have about 10 years of clinical and administrative healthcare experience. I'm from the states, but I still have an understanding of standards of care. Oddly, it's as if this ER operates without laws, policies, or quality standards. I am still shocked by this experience. For severe dehydration, you need IV fluids as soon as possible. For CHUM that's going to be about 5 hours until they can get to you. That would have been fine, except French is my second language. I don't speak it well, but USUALLY I understand it. Regrettably, I was delirious with dehydration, and my sister doesn't understand French at all. We heard my name on the intercom, but did not quite catch where they directed me to go. We went to the desk H, (where there is a woman around 40-50 years old of east Asian descent) and ask where were suppose to go. We explained we heard my name, but didn't hear which room. She "checks" her computer, says they didn't call me, and tells me I need to go to isolation room X. That didn't seem right, but I went anyway. From isolation room X, I can see this woman ask her coworker a question, lock eyes with us in isolation room X, and move on to the next task. I knew something was not right. My sister goes to desk E where there is a younger man (between 20-30 years old of European descent) and asks him the same question. We heard my name on the intercom, but needed to know where to go. He also says I was not called, and at this point my condition has worsened. My sister requests a reevaluation from the triage nurse who then tells us the ER did in fact call me back 20 mins ago. Clerical staff don't get updates and can't ask clinical staff? We go back to the exam rooms and there is an abrasive nurse or PCT (blonde, highlighted short hair, wearing maroon scrubs, about 40-50 years old of European descent) who says "we called you 3 times and we were going to to close out your file". We explained the language barrier, and the reception desk telling me to go to isolation room X instead. To which she just repeated bluntly "we called you 3 times". What was I suppose to do with that info and her attitude? Is the ED Exam Room 6 suppose to be a storage/break room/hallway shortcut while it is occupied by patients? Similar to HIPAA, I thought Canadian healthcare systems are suppose to follow PIPEDA laws. While in Exam Room 6 someone brought in and then left a biohazard bag with samples (human waste) in the room with me. They weren't mine. I could see the specimen labels on the exam tray. The labels were clearly visible to me and had some poor strangers full name and date of birth on them. At one point, my sister and I were sitting in a hallway with like four other patients. One of which actively OD-ed on a gurney next to us. Personally, I think Naloxone administration should occur with some privacy. Handwashing, keeping sterile fields, disinfecting equipment/general sanitation between patients was NOT a priority. Different country, so different standards and laws, but my G-d this place is operating like there is none. Pros: The physician I was assigned had just come back from a leave of absence. Her bedside manner was warm and reassuring. My nurse was also kind. Paying out of pocket is still $100-200 cheaper than going to the ER in the states while insured. TL;DR: 9 hour debacle. Desk staff wanted me to go sit in an isolation room while they closed out my file. Asking for a translator while delirious was a no no, and apparently isn't a legal requirement here. I lived so there's that. Good luck.

I was taken here by ambulance on Nov 11 2022 at 11pm ( a Friday night) I was checked and then placed in the waiting room and told to take a number if things got worse.... when i did this it took 25 min to see the triage nurse again... In the 13 hours I waited to been seen by a Dr here is what happened. The security was arguing with some of the patients because they were seated too close to their door. One guy took his shirt off and squared off with 7 security guards. One man sleeping in the chairs peed on himself then we saw 6 staff actually come out and do something ... Another guy was arguing with patients at random. He was removed and then allowed to return about 4x. Security had at minimum 12 tense interactions with patients waiting. A mentally ill man who kept arguing with security made a public announcement to all who were waiting that included very disturbing details. He was finally removed after 6 warnings throughout the night. One man stood in the middle of the waiting area with his pants and underwear at his knees. People were stealing from those who were sleeping as they wait to see a Dr. Another man was pacing outside and banging on the windows...constantly. Randoms shouts throughout the night. One woman couldn't breathe and the staff barely reacted. When we asked to have a more safe place to wait, we were told that they were aware of the issues but it was "normal" and there was nowhere else to allow us to wait. We moved 7 times to get out of the "line of fire" The ER Dr we saw was very thorough and I feel bad for the staff. They roll called like 15 people and 1 person answered....this did not move the process along. I would avoid this ER at all costs... It was a very tense and scary night....

Ça me fait pitié.

In an emergency situation I was brought to CHUM by paramedics after a seizure episode. As an American tourist who doesn't speak French I was a little disoriented in a French speaking environment but all the medical staff spoke English well. I was admitted quickly and later seen by Dr. Laurence, the ER physician, who was very thorough, knowledgeable and compassionate. Over the next day, I was seen by a cardiologist and two neurologists who like Dr. Laurence were very helpful, high caliber physicians. I spent the night in the ER hooked up to an EKG and like time spent in any ER is not great fun. However, I was very pleased with the care and advice I received and CHUM is clearly a high level university medical center. One observation from a spoiled American healthcare "consumer" (me) is that the medical center clearly isn't being over funded. I asked for a pillow at one point and they didn't have any. A wadded up blanket worked well enough. There was a few hour wait in the hallway but that's true in many ERs everywhere. The physicians, nursing staff and aides all seemed overworked. Here's an Americano complaint: There were no TVs which I think can relieve patient anxiety and boredom. The medical center is part of the government funded Canadian health system. No competition. Bare-bones. Health care funding is always the first to get squeezed by politics. But, all in all, I feel very fortunate to have been cared for at CHUM.

I used to like this hospital, but I don't know what happened? The service just keeps getting worse and worse. Today was just the cherry on top. They gave me one appointment at 11:15 and another appointment at 12:55. Not fun but...ok, whatever. After the first appointment which takes all of 5 minutes I go to the cafeteria and eat lunch trying to waste time. After finishing eating I make my way to the centre de prelevements to see if I can maybe pass earlier. At this time it is 12:05 so I am 50 minutes early. Of course there is nothing they can do. Alright, I wasn't surprise. I was expecting that actually. The thing that gets me, actually rages me is that I was ask to leave and I am not allowed to sit in the waiting room which is basically empty. I have pictures!!! So I am outside of the door lined up with a bunch of people waiting outside of an empty waiting room. The waiting room is covid safe with seperations but we are all bunched up like sardines with nothing seperating people. We do have a long wooden block we can sit on. I guess I should be grateful for that but I'm not! I've not seen such stupidity in a while.

I received fantastic care at CHUM when I recently went in for an emergency angioplasty. My procedure went well and was successful. From the doctors and residents to the nurses and orderlies, everyone was attentive and friendly. The hospital was clean, and the facilities are modern and new. I felt I was in very good hands. The only small caveat I'd add (and I mention this only so people staying overnight can be prepared) is that the meals they served were surprisingly lacking in nutrition (toast and margarine with a Kraft Singles cheese slice as well as Rice Crispies with 2% milk for breakfast, chicken with warmed up frozen vegetables and white rice and a dry date square for dinner). I realize it's not a restaurant but it is an institution designed to make people healthy, and food is essentially medicine. Anyway, this doesn't take away from the excellent care I received and the gratitude I feel towards the staff, it's just something to be aware of if you're staying overnight as you might want to bring something to eat in your bag from home or have your family/friends pick something up for you.

This review is only for the facility itself. Another beautiful and spectacular healthcare facility in city of Montreal: the Centre hospitalier de l'Université de Montréal (CHUM, translated as University of Montreal Health Centre) is one of two major healthcare networks in the city of Montreal, Quebec. Also, CHUM is one of the largest hospitals in Canada too. It is a teaching institution affiliated with the French-language Université de Montréal and a public not-for-profit corporation with 1,259 beds and over 7,000 employees including physicians, nurses, managers, technicians, and researchers and educators. Each year more than 500,000 patients are admitted for care at the CHUM. The CHUM's primary mission is to provide inpatient and ambulatory care to its immediate urban clientele and specialized and ultraspecialized services to the broader metropolitan and provincial population. Thank you for the outstanding service to the people you love!

I went to the emergency for a UTI. The nurses were very nice, however the wait was very long. After waiting for 9 hours, the third triage a nurse saw me with my urine results, I asked him if we can do something so I don’t wait any longer since I had work at 6 am and it was already close to 2 am. The nurse William, offered to take an appointment with a doctor to a clinic next to my house the next day and send the results so the doctor would be able to prescribe the necessary medicine. William went out of his way to make sure I had an appointment and printed out my urine results just in case I would need it to explain my situation to the health professional the next day. He was empathetic to my situation and found a quick solution, I will be forever grateful to him. I hope every hospital has such a kind hearted nurse who goes above and beyond.

I went here to find a washroom while downtown There are single stall washrooms and accessible ones on the second floor (maybe some on first floor and I missed them). We can wander and admire the art or sculptures or appreciate the view from the 5th floor of the research centre (where there’s a football table). There’s even a library! Bravo to the architects and designers

I have been to this hospital two times, once for day surgery and more recently went to emergency following an accident which required major surgery and a 6 day stay. As far as my hospital experiences have been, both times here were by far the best experiences I have had in terms of the facilities, the staff, the doctors and the procedures. In both cases, pre and post-operation, I was kept fully informed of the status of my condition, my options, and what to do in case of complications after I left the hospital. The hospital is relatively new so everything is state-of-the-art, the rooms are all private and all the staff from orderlies to surgeons appear to appreciate their work and truly care for the patients. I left the hospital both times feeling cured and very positive.

Went to CHUM because my Urologist works out of that hospital and I was experiencing a kidney stone attack. Severe pain. Once I arrived at the Emergency I was quickly brought into the back where I was quickly evaluated and given morphen for the pain. I spent the night there, where I was very well cared for by an exceptional crew of Orderlies, Nurses and Doctors. They showed nothing but compassion and concern for my well being. It was touching to experience, as I was not used to such an experience in a hospital (although I don’t frequent often). As a result, they turned a ‘negative’ memory into a ‘positive one simply by their professionalism and care. I won’t forget it. A class institution with modern equipment and an exceptional staff. Thank you again. I won’t forget it.

I went to the emergency today and spent 5 hours there, which was not really that long compared to my previous experiences. I felt really taken care of despite the fact that I didn’t really speak French. All the nurses and doctors who took care of me happened to be women and that was really reassuring. I had a neck injury and got my initial examinations, dinner (!), pain medication, X ray done in those 5 hours. I told my nurse I didn’t have dinner so I was worried about taking meds with empty stomach and she immediately sent some food to me. Honestly, I have accompanied my friends to the ER in the US and here it just feels so much better! Obviously I didn’t expect the process to be short anyway - patience is necessary for the ER!

  • minh van le

Extremely unspeakably unsanitary and unprofessional. Felt more ill witnessing the unsanitary urine, blood and vomit (maybe even feces? What was crusted and dripping through every crevice in the toilet?) stained conditions that they put minimal effort into cleaning, much less properly sanitising than when I was phasing in and out of consciousness and felt like I was going to die. At some point I thought to myself part of me would rather die than be there. Messed up some vital tests due to contamination issues that were very obviously going to happen to anyone with half a brain thanks to the toilet seat dripping with redacted something yet no one did a thing about it. Somehow, the nurses were so surprised.

My son, a student at the university in Montreal, waited over 9 hours for medical care. He was so exhausted and in pain and needed to lie down - sitting in a chair for hours when you are ill is inhuman. We called to ask about the wait after he waited 9 hours and we were told that the average wait was 11 hours. Patients should be informed of the expected wait up front and allowed to rest comfortably until they are seen. This is not okay!!! I would like to give this hospital a zero rating if I could. The Quebec wait time website noted that this hospital had a reasonable wait - how is that reasonable - that is not urgent care! It is disappointing to see that kind of wait time in a Canadian hospital.

  • Emil West

My daughter was born at this hospital. I presented with a fever during the birth, so we had to stay for an extra 2 nights. The nurses were all great: very nice and helpful. They showed us everything we needed to know to feel confident in caring for our first baby. The food was fine (not great, not terrible), and there was enough food with each meal that my husband and I could share (Neither of us have a huge appetite). It is a French hospital, so some of the nurses and other staff do not speak English fluently. If you cannot communicate in French at all, this is probably not the best hospital for you. But if you have a working knowledge of the language, you shouldn't have any problem.

Urgence wait time was 15 hours The diagnose and treatment in my opinion ineffective I suggested they scan my leg for a blood clot. He did not agree The pain remains The hospital does look modern But the Urgence section is not efficient May I suggest dividing Urgence section into diff sections Section One for Life Threatening Strokes , Heart Attacks, bullet Wounds Etc. We keep the name Urgence and service is provided quickly by the team Section Two For limb fractures and burns and deep cuts requiring stitching No appointment necessary Section Three Clinic CHUM Everything else By online appointment only Let’s end the 15 hour waits forever please

This review is solely for the cafeteria on the 2nd floor. One of the best kept secrets in MTL! Tons of various fresh hot and cold foods like soups, salads, wraps, fruit plates and parfait, burgers, pastas, pizzas, and rice bowls. Great portions and healthy ingredients! Everything is less than $6. One person can easily have a full meal within $10. The only downside is I found some staff and security staring at me and other visitors as if we were unwelcome. Strange because we are paying their salaries through our taxes and also subsidizing the food through our purchases. Anyway, this is a must visit and you'll never get bored of the variety!

Sanguinet taxi station was out of control yesterday. Some taxi drivers see that you can’t walk well, try to show up unbelievable courage, otherwise unknown, covered anonymously by their group. Also refused to provide service in a racist display. It wasn’t very hot, maybe 15oC, but the main “activist” was sweating abnormally, had some earring that looked bizarre with his age, while addressing me screaming boy in between of other stupidities. In other days you arrive, this extremely tough “guys” insult while you hardly walk to enter the hospital. Security should screen all drivers for criminal records and demand them to stay in their cars.

Went there last week as my eye was starting to develop a bad infection. I had no appointment but was very well welcomed by all the staff. The waiting time was long (around 4 hours) but I was very pleased and impressed by the service quality. A special thank you goes to Carmen who made the whole process very smooth for me.

Every day at this hospital feels like it’s the first day they’ve been open. Like no one really knows what’s going on. Everyone is confused and yelling. It also has the same chaos and aesthetic as a mall food court (and as many restaurants, for some reason). My friend had an appointment at the optomology department and we waited for four hours only for the doctor to talk to her for 30 seconds then dismiss her. It’s not all bad though. A nice volunteer gave me this free orange juice and it was alright. Not the best orange juice but the lady was really sweet

If your not bilingual or don’t speak good French DON’T go there. I went to see my uncle and the attitude the nurses had with me was unacceptable, and I’m sure it was because I am English. I was very polite and kind with them, so I’m pretty sure that my feelings are correct regarding the language issue. I was at the GLEN hospital last week to visit another family member and, wow what a difference! They were so nice and polite, and spoke both languages with no attitude. At CHUM I felt uncomfortable and unwelcome. Do a little bit better Quebec! Shameful.

  • William Hock

I went to their emergency room at midnight, and in a mostly empty waiting room, I have currently have had ZERO updates in the past 5 hours about what's going on. There is no signage in English, no announcements in English, and the little amount I was in a room with staff interacting about me, was in french.. now of course my French should be better, but in important life situations in a bilingual country and especially downtown in a bilingual (in some cases many people in Montreal are Tri-lingual and better), this place should be better suited.

  • Paul G

Rudest, meanest staff ever . Mostly anything to do with security or administration. They nurses have hearts of gold and are amazing .I went with my friend by ambulance had been beaten up horribly (a women) amd her card was like a few days expired. 0 compassion ,rude, kept asking if she was a homeless street person and demeaning her amd refused to treat her unless she payed 1000s of dollars up front.... so we went home she couldn't even walk ,also was I full severe alcohol withdrawal... not even a Tylenol or a sorry . Criminal

Came to the emergency department at 11.30, and at 6am, I still have not seen the doctor. The staff would not tell me how many patients were in front of me and how long the wait time would be. All the announcements were in French and I would not have known that my number was even called. There was a discrepancy between the price of the english and french receipt as well, and when I asked if they could correct it (since im doing insurance claims), I was told to contact the accounting department instead. WORST experience ever.

  • Gerald C

I was here for an urgent medical attention with my wife for 2 days...a brand new reference hospital, the staff are very welcoming, great listeners, quick to react to an emergency situation, a thorough follow through treatment by the treatment team - pabs, nurses, physicians, technologists and administration, ensuring patients' comfort and most of all wellness. Tests results were out in no time (short turnaround time) even though emergency running at 195%. Kudos for the hard work

  • khalida prdm

I'd give 0 stars, even less! I had the WORST experience at this Hospital, waiting almost 14 (!!!) HOURS for a doctor at the emergency. I'm not exaggerating with the number, this is the truth people! You can only imagine how frustrating this unhuman experience was. Never ever go to the emergency at this time of the year. After that experience, I'll never go there again anyways! I don't have to mention that the treatment of the doctor was of course, unsatisfying.. NEVER GO CHUM!

  • Daniel Man

Worst hospitalization I’ve ever received the nurses were rude and I wasn’t taken care of at all they were late on my medication and painkillers when i had to beg for it for hours while i was in pain and they kept saying the nurse is coming but never comes. Students are loud and argue in the hallway right after they open my door. DO NOT COME HERE UNLESS LAST RESORT because you will not be treated the way you should and wait while your pain gets worse with nothing to help you.

  • Sarah

I called twice for updates about my best friend who is suffering from kidney failure .. the nurse was speaking French and I could not understand what she was saying as I am not French or from Quebec. I asked for English and the nurse said no and hung up the phone . I called a second time and she hung up again when she heard me speaking English. I am absolutely appalled that staff cannot communicate with concerned family and friends in English . Staff should be bilingual .

  • Chaton 18

  • Rebecca St-P

I've had nothing but positive experiences here. Service is fast and efficient, considering the amount of people there are. Although it is an intimidatingly large building there are volunteers that help guide you in the right direction. Both doctors and nurses alike were very attentive and accomodating. Compared to other medical clinics and hospitals, the CHUM really stands out for their modern organization systems for waiting rooms and patients.

  • Kosta Tsantsarov

Pire pire hopitale! Plus jamais!!!!

  • Malik Fall

I thought all the provinces in Canada should have bilingual signages? ( English - French ) French-English) Quebec is the only province who doesn’t respect that, and the federal government should do something about it. This hospital has no English at all! If you’re an English speaking person you’ll struggle communicating here! And your health shouldn’t be put in jeopardy because of the language you don’t speak. Wait time? Super long !

  • Rajkumar Murukeshan

Been waiting here already 4 hours in emergency center and still not attended by anyone for my deep wound on my hand and I’m still bleeding. This is the worst service that I have received ever in my lifetime. Definitely would not recommend to anyone who wants an emergency treatment. PS: I have been asked to pay $1192.57 up in front to get my emergency treatment and they aren’t taking any private insurance details for claiming directly

  • Soheui Park

I like how the hospital is clean and organized in a way that we don’t get lost. They have reception once you get inside. They explain you where you should go. They also give you this tag either yellow, blue or red depending on your status if you are visiting or accompanying. The only reason why it’s not 5 stars is because the time for the appointment is useless. You wait even with that specific time of appointment.

  • Coco Frechette

I'm pretty sure if you were on the floor dying they still consider you a non priority and tell you the wait times are all determined on the type of emergency. waited 12 hours there with really high blood pressure. no doctor saw me. the nurse was bitter, rude and unempathetic. made a complaint against them. the waiting room is filthy. The security are nice, but I'm not there to socialize with them.

  • Loukia Nitsos

I went there today for an appointment in the ophthalmology department and despite the five hours I spent from one set of tests to another and then to see the doctor, I had a great experience. The staff there were extremely friendly and answered all my questions. The ophthalmology department is very clean (as are the bathrooms) and the volunteers make the experience easy if it’s your first time.

  • Mikk Carrillo

I went to the ER at 2 pm and waited until 11 pm. 8 hours and I never got to see a doctor and the nurses only spoke french when found the announcements. Another guy had waited since 10 am. Came in with a cut lip and a tooth trauma and came out the same. I was kindly helped by security but there wasn't much help they could offer. I got a tissue box for my bleeding lip so I guess that's something.

  • Omar TARGUI

The most mismanaged hospital-ophthalmology, in Canada. They cancel an operation agreed 3 months in advance, they will reschedule you for an operation one day before et then a few minutes before the operation, you discover that you have been programmed for the wrong operation without your knowledge. Awful, I've never known such a situation. It's worst than many third world hospitals.

  • Anshuman Rajan

I went to Emergency room yesterday. I'm having severe abdominal pain. I reached to ER at 10pm seeing my condition nurse gave me painkillers and that's it.. for next 5 hours I waited for doctor to see me and nothing. What kind of emergency is this. I came back home without seeing any doctor and had another painkiller.. this is the worst medical system I'm witnessing here in Canada.

  • Dahlia Chahine

I was visiting Montreal and went to Chum as I was in extreme abdominal pain. I speak English, I am a 23 yr old female, and was completely alone on my travels. I was treated so kindly and with so much care. I stayed for 3 days and the staff here made me feel a little bit less alone. From the previous reviews I was scared of the treatment I might receive, but I’m happy I went there.

  • Antoine Perreault

  • ilove montreal

Simply the best hospital on earth, for who they complain, please be grateful and appreciate the staff who’s trying to do the best from little, if I can shake hand and thanks each employee from the cleaning people to the highest doctor there I won’t say no, thank you guys for everything and thank you for each second of you time trying to help everyone non stop .

  • santosh uprajhiya

Really disappointing. I was in severe pain(8-9/10) due to strain in my back. I could not walk or even sit properly on chair, and guess what I had to wait 10hrs(10am-8pm) to see the doctor. This is really disgusting. I do not like Quebéc health care system especially for those who do not have RAMQ card but staying in Québec for various reasons or for visitors. I

  • Anna Foodfan

I was in the emergency room as a tourist because of very severe abdominal pain. The registration could have been a bit more organized, before I even saw a doctor I had to pay around 1300 dollars, but the nurses and especially Dr. Boisvert were very very nice and took their time to get to the root of the pain. He was very empathic! Thank you very much for that.

  • Dominique Liaud

  • ian onsongo

The nurses and doctors are nice people but you'll wait for a very long time to get any service. I've never spent less than 10 hours there and it took only 2-3 minutes to get treated. There were less than 10 people when I got there so it doesn't make sense. Don't go there unless you absolutely need medical attention and time isn't a factor.

  • Georges Younes

Centre Hospitalier de l’Université de Montréal, known collectively as CHUM, is a collection of buildings, new for the most part and impossible to miss, especially if you are in the eastern part of downtown Montreal. CHUM is a welcome addition to a growing city that is notorious for shortages in hospital beds and medical institutions.

  • abdelhamid boukhoudmi

  • Samantha Jeanne

Had a specialist appointment and as an Anglophone had a VERY hard time navigating anything. NOTHING is in English. I asked the receptionist for help and got "this is a FRENCH hospital" as a response. Will never return even if I am going to die. SUPER RUDE and UNCARING to Anglophones. Quebec healthcare is supposed to be BILINGUAL!!

  • Matt Dupras

  • Mythra Rochan

I am coming from ORL chum with sinus infection, Dr des rosier et Dr. Tibut refuse to give me antibiotique although they saw the large amount of green liquids of infection, sorry for having these kind of medecins here in chum, now I am coming back to work and tommorow I ask a break to find a doctor who is a human with heart ❤

  • Adam K

Worst hospital. Two doctors available only on emergency lack of respect over 13 hours waiting in emergency, what’s the purpose of hospital ! Might as well close it , where does all the taxes goes , big hospitals with no staff , super dirty central fan very dirty, not a hospital they want you to suffer and give you more meds

  • Gurwinder Kaur

One of worst hospital I came here in emergency at 10 pm because I am pregnant and don’t see any dr until 5 am all people were like waiting so govt should do about it . Arrange more doctors for the people but it is very difficult for the public . Worst medical service ever. With no dr . They are just making fool to people

  • Carol Linda Cloutier

  • Liudmila Gorbacheva

I delivered my baby in this hospital and I am so thankful for the amazing team that helped me through the process! I could not ask for a better team! The hospital has all new equipment and everything is well organized. I am English speaking in French hospital and the language was not a problem! Strongly recommend!

  • Brock Jenken

A visit to the ER is a minimum of 11 hours. The people who work there are amazing, but they are being overworked, and there is a severe lack of processes in place. I have been forgotten a few times, and I can't fault the staff considering how overworked they are; management needs to put in place better processes.

  • jahanara begum

  • EBRICH

Everybody came here because we are sick and everybody at the inscription at emergency is mad everybody treats you like if they are making you a favor forgetting that we pay taxes and from there they pay their salaries , it’s frustrating to don’t have a private hospital and to have to be treated as ina prision .

  • Hawa Diop

  • Louise Graham

My daughter came back from Mexico with parasites in her abdomen and has been waiting since early morning in the waiting room. The nurse says it’s not that bad even though her pain is 8 /10. She has been in pain since yesterday every 10 minutes she feels the pain of being eaten alive and they don’t care

  • Quentin Bernard

  • Steven Lee

If you can even see a doctor in the ER under 10 hours, you are extremely lucky. 15-20+ hours waiting time is average. If you in serious condition, you better drive to New York, US or take a flight to Germany. You will pay 100% medical fee, but at least you will live an another day.

  • Kevin Die

  • Mohammed Abd

Very nice and clean. It needs a touch of organizing, as a first time visitors and out of the province health card. We had to go to the admissions twice to obtain the same document to give 2 different departments. This could've been avoided if they have a good network

  • Hugo Le Tual

  • Arlene Maple

The ER nurses and doctors were perfect! This is the best experience I have had in an emergency room. I was in and out within an hour. The triage nurse recognized the severity of my condition and sent me straight to a doctor. I can’t thank these people enough!

  • Vanessa T

The ICU team was simply amazing. They were able to turn a devastating situation into something that was bearable. Although our family member did not make it, their support, kindness and patience made such a huge difference. We will never forget. Thank you.

  • Tania Sultana

Worst hospital in all montreal. Look is nice from outside, inside is lousy management. B3en wating since 11am , now 1030pm and still no answer when I am going to be seen. This place is full of homeless ,who makes a ruckus and they give them priority first.

  • mario juliano

Inacceptable!!!

  • Helina Michael

They are very cold and with 0 Empathy for a pregnant woman who is at risks. They wanted to make wait for hours in the Emergency knowing that what I have is clearly concerning. What an failure! I’m very sad and disappointed. 1 star is even too much!

  • Reyka Ore

Worst hospital in Montreal. Beautiful decoration from outside and modern technology. You must to speak French! Because they don’t speak English and if you asking for something they become rude. At ER we have to wait 24hrs to see a doctor

  • William Cognon
