I recommend do not come to this location. They lost a long-time customer for life. I will no longer shop along that strip and will go elsewhere. There's a mall with a Walgreens in it that is literally one block away. The property owner hired Innovative Parking Solutions LLC to enforce the new parking rules where you can't park backwards into a car spot without a $170.00 boot fine. The parking lot layout is terrible from the get go. The parking attendant who I thought was a security guard for CVS actually works for Innovative Parking Solution LLC. The parking attendee guard always watches the parking lot, and he saw me walk into the CVS store. He could of told me as I walked in about the rules. His eyes were always on the parking lot!! I recognize him before because I saw him the week before while grabbing lunch with my son. He went in and ordered, then proceed towards the windows to watch the parking lot again while the subway guy makes his sandwich. I thought this was odd without knowing the details of why he was there. After our quick conversation, he tells me, "I tell you what, I'll be easy on you if you have $100.00 cash, I'll take the boot off." Who in today's age carry that much money on them. Sounds like a hustle to me. Cash in some money in his own pocket. He was clearly targeting certain people since he clearly didn't tell me as I walked pass him heading inside CVS. He told others who were getting out of their cars about the signs on the fence while he started working on the paperwork for him to take the boot off my car. His name is Donta, ID # 7123, if you'll interested. He's a hustler trying to get some money and as for as I know, he works their on the weekend. Innovative Parking Solutions LLC and employees who work on the streets are corrupted!
Nov 2021: I drove my elderly mom, 84, to her very first shopping trip since having to move in with me. Due to her inability to care for herself and nor walk more than 50ft without needing to sit she obviously has a disabled sign that hangs from the rear view mirror. That's how they do things in North Carolina. An employee came out as we where leaving and was VERY disturbed that we parked in the disabled spot. She took pictures of us and of me shoving mom's wheelchair back into the back seat. I think she intends to call the police. How crazy is this!? Maybe glare from the sun blinded her from seeing the giant blue placard , but I don't lug wheelchairs in and out of the car just so we can park up front! That would be insane. I'm going back to find her and contact the manager, but wow! This gal was livid. Why didn't she just ask me if I had permission to park there? I could've easily shown the giant blue card that is good until 2023. I guess she thinks I lug this 84 y/o around in a wheelchair just to get good parking spots. Oiy vey. Mom's been going to PT every week and getting her strength up enough to get her IL state ID, but she's not quite strong enough to go through that hell yet. She also has dementia, so Lord help me get her through the DMV hassle. The CVS welcome was bad enough. Wednesday, Nov 3 2021 at about noon....just in case you know this mean lady was who works there. . . . . .. ..
Everything is always super overpriced, and the parking lot is an absolute disaster. There’s not nearly enough room for a car to get into the lot while a car is leaving the lot. It’s also super rare to find a parking spot here, I always find myself having to park 3-4 blocks away from this CVS. They have multiple self checkout stations, but every time I have gone there is only 1 self checkout station that is working, and there is no employee at the front that is checking people out. The store lacks organization, it’s always so difficult to find things here. The employees never offer to help you, even if you look completely confused. The line to pick up at the pharmacy is always super long and super slow. I had once received 2 texts in 2 days from CVS saying my script was ready to pick up, and when I got there the girl helping me couldn’t find my script and was trying to tell me it wasn’t there. Turns out it was just on the floor because of their lack of organization, and it took her 10 minutes to find it. My ex boyfriend used to work here, and he would constantly have to work 15 hours straight overnight because their employees just decide to not show up half the time, and then they don’t even face any consequences for it, because it would happen nearly every week.
If I could leave zero stars, I would. Beware of the racist security guard who works here and talks way too much. The security guard, who is Hispanic is racist toward other Hispanics and other BIPOC. My relative had the worst experience when the store manager micro-aggressed them and accused them of saying “bad words” about this security guard. Further using banning from this location as a threat. Finally, they realized it was a misunderstanding and apologized. However, the manager and the “security guard” use their position against the community. Way to make people feel welcome..CVS, please be aware of who you hire to run your stores. I didn’t know couponing was a crime, and trying to save a coin for your family these days would get you kicked out of the store. If you want to have a bad experience with the management at this store, please come here. If you want to leave crying due to the lack of hospitality, come here. If not, avoid it at all costs. CVS DO BETTER!
I've realized that the CVS corporation exclusively never provides enough or ships specific sale items to cvs stores where most of their customers are African- American or Mexican. My mistake I should've gone out to the suburbs cvs stores. My kids go to Walgreens for everything now. Because like they even pointed out to me "Walgreens always has their sale items". CVS managers have a standard response "our shipment didn't arrive." Which translates to "we aren't getting any until after the sale so you cannot benefit or take advantage of the sale. Yet out in the areas where the majority of customers ARE NOT AFRICAN-AMERICAN OR Mexican, CVS ships more than enough products. It outright blatant discrimination.
Open 24x7, good parking, 1/2 block from public bus tops for the Halsted #8. Shares a block long strip mall. Guard on duty in a safe neighborhood only steps from the police station around the corner. No liquor sales after midnight is early as most stores sell until 1am. Limited cooler selection includes juice, milk, eggs and some frozen foods including pizza. Pharmacy staffed and available for vaccinations. Staff discourages paying at the counter instead tries to direct every to four self pay stations means a waiting line even with just few customers.
This place is VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!! From the pharmacy to the employee. I am not happy with Tiffany or her employee. It’s frustrating... I called at 11:30 about my medicine and here it is 3:30pm they still don’t have nothing for me. They had ONE JOB to do is called in have my prescription transferred over I’m that didn’t happened. Tiffany had the nerve to asked my WHY THEY SENT IT TO THAT PHARMACY. As a professional it’s doesn’t matter why they sent it over there. You all had one job to do in that didn’t happened. I wish I can take my ONE STAR back.
@cvspharmacy I hope I spelled her name correct Casey was wonderful at 741 W 31st St, Chicago, IL 60616. moved out Chicago 3 years ago but used to go to Osco drug/cvs at this location for meds. My mom did all that. Casey helped me figure something out for today walgreens wouldnt do. A supposed error on my allergies. She took my concerns seriously and even though I'm not a current customer because cvs never me in peoria is too far, she treated me like you should treat anyone customer or not, you can't teach concern for others or respect. Thank you!
I just wanted to share my amazing experience at the CVS pharmacy on 3100 S Halsted. The customer service there was incredible! The pharmacy team went above and beyond to help me with my insurance and manufacturer savings coupons and programs. I was blown away by their professionalism and expertise. They clearly know their stuff and are a huge asset to CVS!!! I am beyond grateful for their assistance and highly recommend this pharmacy to anyone in the area.
I was purchasing an age restricted item and had to wait 20 min for the cashier to help me out at self check out. He was to busy using the vacuum cleaner and didn't even bother to see if the customer needed help. Not to mention he had headphones on to so that made it worst. After almost 30 min of waiting I had to go get him and he made me re scan my item again. I was late to work cause of that. I don't know if I will be visiting this cvs again.
They're great at email/text communication and making you aware when your prescriptions are ready for pickup etc... Today I had the misfortune of dealing with Brenda G whom displayed a nasty and negative disposition towards me after I let her know I received a text letting me know that my prescription was ready. However the lady right before me was helped nicely despite being rude & argumentative towards Brenda G. I wonder why...
I've done 4 curbside pick up and in every single one I waited over 30min outside and it isn't until I go inside that is when they realize that they have the order. My last 2 orders wouldn't transfer through and the people there seem like they have no idea what they are doing. I would go somewhere else but I'm a couponer and that's the closest CVS to me. I am very upset that I couldn't pick up my order and VERY unsatisfied.
Had to visit here to get some Pepto at 1:30 am & the doors were barricaded with a trash can and the doors were locked and not an employee in sight. An elderly security guard was the only one who went in and out that store; and he didn't pull up til 2am. This location is supposed to be 24 hours yet, and at the time of writing this, the store is still closed. If you can't be open 24 hours, say so.
I love this store, they have products that I use and new products that I have been dying to try. they are a little pricey, but for me it's a one stop shop. they make me feel comfortable. unlike most stores they do not lock away products for African Americans and they don't follow you around the store. the cameras are sufficient. thank you CVS for not being prejudice against those of color.
Absolu awful experience been waiting 2 week for an out of stock medication yet others stores have it and they don’t even bother to tell you that unless you come in and ask. Then they make you call to fill the prescription. No customer service what so ever. Only on employee here Kevin has gone above and beyond to help can’t say that much for the young lady assisting me today.
The pharmacy staff is always amazing, however the front store is always hit or miss. Either they're really friendly and helpful, or they ignore the super long line, don't call for back-up and force everyone to use self check out despite it being slow and inefficient. Overall, the deals and selections are good. The customer service aspects definitely need work
1. The discounts on your card doesn’t show up in the counter. Use the self-checkout machines. 2. The extreme left self-checkout doesn’t accept Apple Pay but the one before it does. The employees might tell none of the machines accept Apple Pay. 3. The security and the old lady who assists in the self-checkout area are the only kind ones.
This is a great CVS! They always have what I need, in addition to new products. Their prices are much lower than at Walgreens, and I prefer the self-serve service. I also appreciate the many coupons that you can use. It is conveniently located and has friendly faces to greet or guide you in the store. I highly recommend this CVS!
Control the prices. Recently price increases are unfair and your Milk price is completely out of line. $6 + tax for gal of milk? We just paid and broke my heart. I am hurt. Also not getting any discount offer recently also disappointing me. CVS use to be my favorite store but now it's no no...
FYI the short younger security guard there is a racist. Just saw him brazenly approach two younger black boys as soon as they walked in and told them to take their hands out of their pockets for no reason. Then he sat back down and went back to his magazine. I'm disgusted.
Quite possibly the worst pharmacy in the city. Almost 100% of the time there's some sort of issue. The staff is uninformed and unwilling to help. And that's if you can even get him to pay attention to you. Avoided all costs if you can use any other pharmacy.
Nasty attitude you ask for something they dont know nothing The guy was so rude to us didn’t even help us We need new people in the store I want to use my bucks and they act is there stuff Omg the security guy is so nice night shift nice old man. …
Lost my business, I was trying to buy some items and employee couldn’t even unlock bathroom for my pregnant wife and gave me lame excuse that pharmacy closes so does bathroom. Sincerely disappointed CVS, I could understand for non customers but really!!
I love this CVS store. The Pharmacy is "da bomb"! They went above and beyond to contact my doctor for a prescription refill! Also, the other clerks are always attentive and helpful. Thanks for the excellent service and keep up the good work!
This place is a joke. Every employee that is in this building (minus the actual pharmacists) are rude and unprofessional. Maybe it's the older generation that's staffed here but they act like they don't need to respect anyone but the other
Honestly a great store. May be overpriced but the service is great. Never got prescription but overall a good store to shop for things on the go. Kinda like a gas station but with extra stuff. Except the gas station of course.
Friendly staff, new and improved, however for their (OTC) over the counter selection could use a lot of work, very limited options and some selections on bottom shelves, not great when serving a senior population.
The customer service here is incredibly friendly and personable. I will drive the extra miles to avoid the Roosevelt location and come here. Thank you. Special shout out to Derrick for his calm and kind demeanor.
Bought at the prescription pharmacy norco painkillers after my foot surgery.took 5 pills ,still in excruciating pain!next day went again to the same store, and they refused refund my money for bad medication!
Went to pick up my medication on Saturday at 4:30 pm to take with me to the hospital for a sleep study. Even tho the hours are posted they are open to 6p the pharmacy was closed.
That short guy security in store is crazy and racial discrimination!!! I don't want go there anymore ! And I will call to complain everyday!! I think he will lose his job soon!
The only problem I got is the customer service or security folks who no clue what customer service is. The security personnel have no clue how to interact with customers.
Everything is pricey but it’s cvs so ... it’s to be expected . But I was having trouble with an Uber gift card I had just purchased and an employee politely helped me .
I LOVE this CVS...they know me and my son by name and face and they're so helpful! They're always there with a smile ready to help when needed.
The employees were rude, when asked for help about money gram, had no desire to assist. The money gram machine there has been broke for years..
The pharmacy is great. All my prescriptions are always ready when they say that they are. The pharmacist is very professional and helpful.
Crooks put boot on your car when you didn't immediately buy anything from them when you parked. Go somewhere else. Let this place close.
Wouldn't let us in at 11:52pm even though they were open until 12:00am. Open until midnight means open until midnight!! Jerkoffs …
Wouldn't let us use the bathroom while we are traveling through Chicago. If I cant use the bathroom, I'm not spending my money here.
The bald guy (manager?) is Extremity rude and unhelpful. Taking my business to Walgreens-which has more selections anyway.
The security guard that works at this CVS is very nice. Overall this CVS is way better than Walgreens down the street.
Came in for medication. Told to wait 15 minutes. An hour later, they told me they were still getting it set up.
Most of the employees of the early shift are nice and very helpful with their customers. Thanks for everything
Amazing customer service from the store manager to the store workers. I would recommend this CVS to anyone.
Tried 6xs in 3 hours to speak with a pharmacist, ON EVER ANSWERED THE PHONE!! DONE WITH THIS PLACE!
They charge for bags AND shopping carts. First ever store I've seen charge for a shopping cart.
always a brief visit before work.nice place to shop for over the counter medicine.
They always greet you at the door and they have great customer service :)
$11.49 for a roll of packing tape? Holy mother of God!
Always find good deal with my care pass card
