the best shrimp and grits Ive had so far! Saltiness and Savoriness were spot on and well balanced! Very flavorful indeed. Shrimps were nicely cooked and the grits were wonderful with that cream cheese. Ive been researching places to eat before traveling to NOLA and read about the place. Our uber driver who also enjoyed the food here then made me confirm the decision to absolutely try this place for lunch no matter what wait time! lol luckily we really didnt have to wait long for two people. Husbter got their oyster benedicts which was equally good! oysters were fried perfectly but my favorite part is how the food comes together with all the ingredients and thats super delicious creamed spinach! Who knew they could be a match made in heaven? service was good but unfortunately I had to take off one star (with hesitation! but had to be done) because my vanilla chai latte was overly sweet! like really sweet it was not enjoyable to drink anymore. The floors were very slippery too and I thought it was just my shoes but my husband had the same observation. We had to walk really slow while inside coz I was afriad I might slip. The cafe wasnt the prettiest and was a little warm without AC but if you see past that and just be in the moment with the food then you will not be disappointed!

We came on a Friday morning. The wait wasn’t too bad, It was 35 minutes. Not to mention, you can walk around New Orleans because they text when your table is ready. I just wish everything in the area was open before 1100, but that’s not Cafe Fleur De Lis fault. My wife ordered the Avocado Omelet with hash-browns and a Mocha. She absolutely loved it. The goat cheese was a perfect pair with the bell pepper, avocado and onion. The espresso was amazing in the mocha. Also, a perfect portion. She was definitely full afterwards. I ordered the Seriously Southern Breakfast. I received 2 pancakes, 1 insanely thicc strip of pork belly, 2 eggs and biscuits and gravy. The pancakes were pretty good, nothing special. The thicc strip of bacon looking thing… was amazing! Great taste, like melt in your mouth type stuff. The eggs were good, but that’s easy to make. The biscuits and gravy were excellent as well. I really like how this allows you to try 4 different things. I would definitely come back here, right next to bourbon. They also have a great breakfast cocktail menu if you’re into drinking that early. I would but I went pretty hard the night before and was sick in the morning.

The atmosphere was ok. The shrimp & crab omelette I ordered was delicious- I liked the cream spinach on top!! The hash browns were perfect. The coffee was just ok. The crab eggs benedict were not served with soft poached runny eggs. The eggs were not runny at all, instead overcooked. Plus my friend noted that there was only a bit of hollandaise sauce so he would have preferred the eggs runny how they’re supposed to be. The beignets we ordered just to see what the big deal was. It was the only place we got them during our 4 days in NOLA. They were freshly made and had lots of powdered sugar which I enjoyed. However the dominant taste of the beignets was the fried oil - no bueno. The service wasn’t very attentive but it was friendly. They were fairly but no lines outside. We were told it’d be a 20-25 min wait but we’re called within 10.

All in all, I would ABSOLUTELY come here again! Just a little over $32 for everything! Great job guys!!!

This place was our favorite find in the Quarter for breakfast. I started with the bloody Mary with shrimp and bacon. Has quite a nice kick and the bacon was perfect. My main meal with the French toast. Honestly, the best I've ever had and I didn't even put any syrup on it. I also ordered the fried grits. Holy s$&t, they were delicious!! I was waiting for some good grits because honestly, I had them twice at other places in the Quarter and they were disappointing. These were crunchy fried on the outside and creamy and cheesy on the inside with this cream cheese sauce. And you get A LOT! Portion sizes are generous and staff is super nice.

The food was pretty good! The pancakes were delicious, eggs were cooked perfectly, and the hashbrowns were well cooked and seasoned. The bacon wasn't our favorite because all of it was chewy and not at all crispy, but maybe you just have to ask for that. The biscuits and gravy was cold when we got it, but it still tasted great. The toast was barely toasted, it was pretty much just stale tasting bread. Some of the dishes were dirty or had cracks in them, but they were replaced right away when we pointed it out. Overall, had a nice experience with Mary Ellen! She was attentive and quick with her service.

Best grits I’ve ever had! The grits were cheesy, gooey, and just seasoned perfectly. We also loved the eggs Benedict, the sauce was tasty and the eggs were poached properly. The pancakes were fluffy and not dry, it came with a shot of bourbon. The chocolate milk hits the spot as well. However, we could tell that the fried oysters were not that fresh so we didn’t finish it after one bite. The candied maple bacon were too sweet but it’s perfect for those who caters it. Overall, good ambiance and very friendly staff.

This restaurant was a four for me. Should you stop by and eat there? Yes. I do not think it would be a waste of your time or money to stop in. The food was good the service was good the atmosphere was good but nothing was outstanding about it(except the FGT). Their fried green tomato appetizer was one of the best I've ever had. But the actual food was just good and unfortunately in a city full of amazing food just good earned you four stars.

My husband and I tried the shrimp and grits at 5 different restaurants over our 6 day stay in New Orleans, and Cafe Fleur de Lis came out on top. The cheesy grits are decadent and gooey. The shrimp on top have the right bite to them: crisp, plump, cooked to perfection and the garlic sauce on top is the perfect savory tie-together. The restaurant itself was clean and nicely appointment. Our breakfast overall was a great experience.

Make sure you’re hungry when deciding to eat here. The portion sizes are definitely above average. The food was excellent, and freshly prepared to order. I’m not a big pancake person, but this place has the BEST pancakes I have ever eaten. I would eat a stack of just pancakes from here. Service was friendly and attentive. Definitely recommend having breakfast or brunch here during your stay in NOLA.

It was a little disappointing compared to the waiting time. We went to the walk-in, waited for 30 to 40 minutes, applied for text notifications, and waited nearby. However, I used the bathroom for a while and saw many empty tables. However, they did not call the guests, perhaps because they were short of workers. 40 minutes later I received a text message and was directed to an empty seat, and the food was worse than expected.

Amazing restaurant for breakfast! Staff is very friendly welcoming you in, and wait times are updated and notifications sent by text. Once seated the food is top-notch and very filling for a reasonable price. My wife had shrimp and grits which were some of the best we have ever tasted. I went southern breakfast lured by pork belly thick cut, fluffy biscuits, and upgraded to the banana pecan short stack. Will eat here for breakfast any time I’m in the French Quarter!

We had the vegetarian omelette, and the pancakes. They were both very fresh, tasted homemade, and were the perfect comfort food! Nothing too fancy, but everything was done perfectly. The coffee (both regular, and chicory) were hot, bottomless, and topped off regularly. Staff was very polite, place is clean, and cute.

Looks like a greasy spoon, but the food is a step above! I was really impressed with the grits, and I'd order the seafood Benedict (served on a biscuit) all over again. The wait was about 35 minutes on a weekday, and I'd say it was worth it. There are a bunch of cute shops nearby to fill the time. Oh and the coffee was strong!
