If I had a choice of putting no stars I would ! We came in to the store to order our food and got told 30 minutes. We went to the shops and came back and gave an extea 10 minutes of waiting time. So all up, 40 minutes. We went in and our food STILL was not ready ! We then got told another 15 minutes, we gave another 5 minutes, STILL NOT READY ! The waiting time is ridiculous and we have been to chinese resturants that are busier than these guys are and still have our food ready when they say it'll be ready. Definitely not impressed and today will be the first and last day of coming here. Simple !

We visited this place for the first time and liked its old school, no frills simplicity. Friendly and prompt service, coupled with really tasty food and generous portions really made our visit worthwhile on a very cold evening. Enjoyed the short soup, fried rice and Mongolian beef along with a pot of chinese tea. A lesson we learnt was - ask them to add chilli to the food if you like it hot. Inspite of the beef tasting a bit sweet, it was still an enjoyable meal and we would definitely recommend eating here.

Cheap and value for money. Taste of the food is best from the menu, but the focus of this restaurant seems to be their 'smorgasbord' ,which consists of fried finger food and Chinese restaurants staple; think honey chicken, sweet-and-sour pork, stir fries, and a soup dish (chicken and corn, but seems to contain only egg white and seasoning). What I liked was when I ordered off their menu: hot and sour soup, and salt and pepper tofu. Again, clientele is typical bogan crowd of the area.

Worst Chinese food in the area. I rated it 1 star because I couldn't rate it the minus 1 that I wanted to. Got take away food from there and it was floating in oil. And this happened on more than one occasion as my wife ordered from there a few times. When I complained lady on the phone was very rude and hung up on me. Horrible place and the recommendation I would strongly give.is DO NOT eat from this disgusting place

A little gem. Great Chinese food at fantastic price. Lunch specials are really special but the big soup takes the prize. Regardless what you have ordered, rest assured you won't leave a single grain of rice on your plate when you're finished

The food was pretty good, the honey chicken, chow mein & prawn toast were all delicious. Would come back to try the salt and pepper squid and mongolian lamb. Could possibly be the best local chinese for us so far.

Ordered takeaway on the 29/4/22 asked for only a bit of onions in my satay chicken and obviously they didn’t listen. the prices are too high. Reason for a 2 star is they gave me burnt pork spring rolls for free and the food was hot. Fried rice was bland.

Been here a few times and have found that the food has remained average at best. Most of the time, the food is dry, over cooked and tastes as if it has been premade a few days ago. The prices are reasonable however for the dated interior and average food, there are much better places to go to.

Extremely impressed with the young lady at the counter tonight. I was nervous to pick up my Chinese dinner holding a pizza, thinking it might start a race war between the Chinese and the Italians, but luckily young Casey handled it like a true professional and the Chinese food was fantastic!

Been coming here for many years but disappointed last night. Phone orders got priority I feel. Crispy skin Chicken was inedible. Extremely dry, no sauce and just yuck. Fried rice was average. Wouldn't hurry back and prices are well above what they were. I prefer Thai.

Recently revisited Chow Pine after 12 years and it is still so satisfying. My favourite dishes are the salt and pepper tofu, the satay chicken and the crispy fillet steak Peking style. Their fried rice smells so good too! It hits the spot for comfort food.

Been our childhood restaurant. Was always the lunch spot with our Mum. Share so many memories here. Not only is it cheap but the food is amazing and generous sized portions! We moved out of the area 9 years ago but we always make the drive out to eat here.

Regular customer, however, ordered long and combination soups - both were not nice. What a shame.

I ordered over the phone, for my wife. She wanted a chicken dish with CHINESE VEGETABLES. Told the girl twice. She said "OK". My wife opened the container and saw broccoli, cauliflower and celery. NOT HAPPY. Lost a regular customer.

Been eating here for 15yrs,lunch specials can't be beat @8.50 dine in with a small softdrink,usually very fast service.fried rice is very basic and a bit hit and miss"sometimes very stoggey" but meals are consistently good.

Been going there for years, its really nice place to have a meal, very friendly staff just they need to be more attentive to customers. Food is great and well priced.

Love this place. Quite reuglar customer. Disappointed tonight when we ordered our pick up takeaway. We bought a $4, 1.25L soft drink. And was given a 90c lemonade soft drink from aldis. Wont be ordering a drink again.
