Chad. I came in to withdraw money, and a 4’9” man called the fraud department on me. He did not ask my security question yet had an issue with my out of state ID. He got my account locked, I had to seek help from a different location and after explaining the outlandish behavior, a worker laughs and asks what the man looked like. I explained and right away he said “yeah that’s Chad!” Other employees at a completely different location knew who I was speaking of and weren’t shocked he gave me a hard time. Chad (I wasn’t aware of his name until after he locked my account) profiled me. He stated there was “no title” on a transfer in my account. Maybe because I opened the account online and did an electronic transfer LIKE IS REQUIRED? I showed him the transfer from my other bank’s account. He said no, print it. I asked is they could print it at the bank. He said no. THE OTHER LOCATION, the one in North Las Vegas who actually helped me, printed it for me without asking. Why do you keep miserable people employed?
Mary is the absolute best!!!! Sally is super sweet and Jose is very knowledgeable and helpful. It’s Juliet that treats me like I have committed a crime every time I deal with her. Today, I watched her be so kind and accommodating to a customer that didn’t know her pin or anything associated with the account. When I came to her with my correct pin and all my account information, I was treated like a criminal! I was asked question after question about my account. She called several numbers for some type of verification, wrote all sort of codes, questioned me some more, stared at me blankly and was very hesitant to give me my money. She’s done this to me before when I was cashing a cashier check that I had from Citibank she looked it over and did the calls, questioned me repeatedly until I told her that she was the teller that issued the check. I truly appreciate the bank staff, but from now on I will never allow Juliet to deal with my banking.
The worker told me he’s locking my account and I have 30 days to bring printed proof of where my transfer came from. When I opened the account online, I transferred from my Regions account number and routing. This worker profiled me. I was having a bad day, hair was up from cleaning, pants covered in grass from taking my dog to the park. He tells me if I don’t print proof, even after logging into my Regions account to show him, my account would be gone. Implying my entire savings would be gone. This is the rudest most idiotic person I’ve encountered since moving to NV. He had an issue with my TN identification. I will not be paying for a printing service. I will be transferring my money back and never using Citi again.
I had an appt. with Doug. Got there a few min late about 4:35. He told me he had to leave soon. Bank closes at 5pm. Opened up my account and then had to go to the teller to complete the transaction. Instead of walking me directly to the teller I had to stand on line with my paperwork. A nother bank that I do business with had the banker bring me to the teller herself and I didn't have to wait on line. I think that shows respect to someone opening up an account. Also Doug had left and another banker met me at the teller window. Citibank should learn some customer service.
The whole team was amazing! I was having complications cashing my check, and the whole team was very helpful in clearing it. Thanks to Jose for getting us on the right track and telling us where to start. Thanks to the managers for clearing it and overriding my check. Special thank you to Juliet for never giving up on us and helping us do everything to clear it. And rosa needs some training in her customer service skills, very rude - she turned us away w/o helping. Besides that, awesome branch, cant wait to open an account here!
THE WORST!! Unhelpful and lack of logic abounds. I was trying to deposit a check made out to me into my business account. My business is my name with a word after it. They would not accept the check because it wasn't the exact business name. What are they protecting ? Does anyone fraudulently put money in the bank ? I have been depositing checks like this in Citibank branches in New York and Los Angeles since the '90s with no problem. I feel it's the management, not the tellers. Small minds, drunk with a little power.
I have had a terrible experience with Citi repeatedly and plan to close my account after I attempted to contact Banker regarding a Trust acct (w a large amount of money). The Banker never returned any of my calls after a week and the branch on Rampart LV was open but was transferring call without picking up any calls. The Citi Rep called and she was also transferred and never answered her calls. Smh this is so unprofessional service and handling money is not acceptable with this type of unprofessional behavior.
There is one associate that I actively avoid. More than simply rude, he was extremely unhelpful when my credit cards and other information was stolen. He also went out of his way to remove me from an account where I had been receiving benefits that were not currently being offered, after 15 years of loyalty on my part. I have yet to move, but only because I have yet to find another bank. One or two other associates are helpful, but not always well informed. A bad experience overall.
Yesterday May/26 I had one of the worst experiences in my life, I went to move my PPP Loan to another bank and I was rudely greeted by a banker name DOUGLAS, basically he didn’t explain anything to me about CITIBANK and PPP loan, he just started yelling and threatened not release the funds and asked to show him proof of business (I’m a 1099). many times repeated said “Your account will be closed” at the lobby in front of everyone. Never again Citibank.
Was calling them to open a new account and they just keep hanging up on me. I guess I will take my business elsewhere. I hate to see what the service is like after I open an account. The demographics of this area is mostly seniors. Sorry they are not on Twitter or any other social media. They just want good face-to-face communication with a branch representative and not some central HQ!!
I opened an account online and everything is good with my mobile check upload ..i already withdrew $900 and i come in today and try to make another withdraw and they is already two wired transfers that i never did .thank God they were cancelled but now they are not letting me get my money and close my account and be done with this monstrosity
Jose Granados provided extraordinary service today. I m new to Citibank and stopped by Summerlin branch this morning. He was very attentive and patient and solved my banking online problem with great effort. Would like to thank him being there and hopefully this message would pass up to his supervisor.
I have called twice now and still not received a return call from the Senior Wealth Manager for an update on the status of my CD, which got messed up from incorrect information given to me by the manager. It’s frustrating when the bank does not follow up promptly on financial matters.
This bank is terrible. The ATMS , inside and out, do not accept cash deposits A LOT. That occurs several times a month and they charge account holders a monthly service fee. At least they have refunded the fee a few times after called to complain. Still, unreliable and inconvenient
i live all the way in new york never been here a day in my life and someone stole all my money off my card and left me with $1 im so tempted to fly there and take a look at the cameras cause this is crazy bro all my hard earned money taken by a person who cant get a job
I have been with Citi Bank since they came to Las Vegas…. This is one of the two branches that I go to. They are great, the tellers are friendly. I have no idea why anyone would give this bank a bad review, just grumpy butts I guess... 5 stars every time for me :-)
Rude cashier teller named Jacob, unable to perform his job, yelling to customers and expecting customers to bend and bow to him as if he was making us a favor by doing his job. Staff without people's skills should not be allowed to work in from of customers.
I find it terrible that I was required to furnish my Social Security number to deposit $80 cash into my sons account. I understand money laundering but $80? Come on, that is ridiculous. Branch was Citibank at Lake Mead and Rampart in Las Vegas
Don't even consider this bank or this location. Citi Bank is clueless and their systems are very old. Setting up an account was an absolute nightmare. US Bank is better, so happy I moved from there.
I had a great experience with my wiring transaction thanks to Chad Colón. He was very accomodating and courteous. Citi bank should take care of employees like him! Thanks Chad!
This review was long overdue... Citibank...1 star is too much for you when you are as bad as you are! Viewers...dont make the same mistake and go with a different bank
Always so busy, not their fault though There is a lack of Citi locations in Vegas. Every time I come in, there is a line almost out the door.
I had a very bad experiance at citi bank. Manager was rude, no help on trying to answer or fine out about my question i ask about a check.
Won't accept cash payments. Long lines. Tellers barely able to speak English. They shouldn't be allowed to call themselves a bank
made a call to find out about new checking account Mary was very nice answering all my questions...greattt
La puerta se abre con la tarjeta si llegas muy temprano o muy tarde. Los cajeros siempre están disponibles
That is where I bank, fast friendly service, 24hr inside banking, if you bank there, through the ATM. …
No issues. Though it is getting hard to find a Citibank these days.
Love the high limit withdrawls on the ATM, not a fan of the fee.
Totally clueless staff. How are they even still in business?
Open at 10 o'clock and closes at 5 o'clock give me a break.
Unknowledgeable and unfriendly.
Fast and friendly branch.
This is Citibank
What a joke bank
The WORST !!!
Awesome staff
