Originally built in 1963 and once known as Moorabbin Hall, the iconic "mid-century" retro style City Hall building is now a convention and events space and used as a venue for community events such as concerts, dances, markets, school performances and graduation ceremonies, and as an Arts venue. There's a foyer, Ticket box office and cafe with seating area on the ground floor with glass doors on the northern wall connecting the hall with the neighbouring Kingston Arts Centre. On the first floor there's a Grand Hall with a stage, and Banquet Room and Kitchen. The venue is suitable for large-scale banquets and events. However, it does not allow self, or private catering arrangements. The Hall also houses a Wurlitzer theatre organ which is on the Victorian Heritage Register and is listed by the National Trust. It is used regularly for organ concerts.
