"Clayton Shopping Plaza is located a stone's throw to Clayton Railway Station"
"Visiting today, sad to see few eating places are closed including Petaling St"
"Terrible carparking, always full & I don't find the Coles stores as friendly as other stores"
"I like Clayton Shopping Plaza because it is very convenient and keep lots of different types of vegetables which is very hard to find elsewhere"
"The plaza and surrounding have virtually everything you could want, from normal groceries, a huge range of take away food and restaurants, banks, coffee shops, real estates, chemist, cake shops and much more"
Clayton Shopping Plaza is located a stone's throw to Clayton Railway Station. It is the closest full service shopping strip to Monash University- only 2.5km away. Buses from Monash University frequent here. The cosmopolitan mix of student population is reflected in the types of shops and food available here! Great variety of Japanese, Korean, Hong Kong, Chinese, Greek, Italian, Indian, Australian food and groceries can be found here. If you are looking for varieties, this is the place to start! Hope it helps.
Visiting today, sad to see few eating places are closed including Petaling St. Fish shop still open with the fruits and vegetables struggling..... Laksa Town.... is slightly pricey and from the taste of the food ordered..... turnover must be slow. We were mainly at Hong Kong store and the butcher's. Human traffics are less now and the area less maintain. It's ashame what covit19 can do to all of us !! However.... let's continue to support them !! Cheers !!!
Terrible carparking, always full & I don't find the Coles stores as friendly as other stores. Clayton shopping area is so old & run-down, looks the same as it was 25 plus years ago ... run down & grubby. I was hoping once the train lines were raised & the new station built (which has made a huge difference to traffic flow especially along Centre Rd) that the council would look to giving Clayton shopping area a much needed face lift.
I like Clayton Shopping Plaza because it is very convenient and keep lots of different types of vegetables which is very hard to find elsewhere. Prices are reasonably priced and the only problem is with the parking. Sometimes it can be very hard to find the parking along the busy clayton road. It is also very conveniently located next to coles and other Asian shops. There are also good seafood and meat shops in the stretch.
The plaza and surrounding have virtually everything you could want, from normal groceries, a huge range of take away food and restaurants, banks, coffee shops, real estates, chemist, cake shops and much more. There is plenty car park, sometimes you just need to look past the main strip. As with everything, if you shop right you can find some good pricing. If you go, enjoy your time there.
The Star attraction here is Hong Kong supermarket and a western cafe with Korean fried chicken, which I have forgotten the name of near the set of traffic lights at the train station's end. The rest are adequate where there are much better in Springvale or Glen Waverley's shopping and restaurant district.
This strip used to be filled with fabulous shops of all sorts. Now you can get dumplings, fruit, dumplings, dumplings, dumplings, eye wear, dumplings, a chemist, dumplings, dumplings, dumplings and dumplings. Oh did I mention dumplings? It is no longer multicultural and a wonderful place to wander.
There's no dinning area couple chairs and tables in place pretty bare very small plaza with couple shops in line there's outdoor seating and dining plenty of food store outlets here huge shopping Central clean and tidy with public transport buses and trains connects from here.
A great place to eat out.Hard to find a better selection of Chinese restaurants. It also offers a variety of cuisines from India,Indonesia and Korea. The food is inexpensive and very authentic. The strip also has supermarkets, pharmacies, banks and a variety of other businesses.
Looking very run down, they should renovate all the shops. Beware of scummy people, they do look shady, watch your purse or wallet, zip your bags, lock your car and put valuables in the boot, they wait for you to leave the shops or atm and try to steal from you.
Many restaurants especially Asian cuisines. Large parking and many ports but still not enough on busy days. 2 coles really convenient. Many parking ports for inconvenient people. Traffic is bad though but will be better once the railway has been fixed.
A great shopping strip, especially if you are looking for Asian food of all descriptions. It has the best Japanese eatery near the corner of Clayton road and Dunstan street. Their norri rolls are big and tastier than any I've had.
Clayton Shopping Plaza is a quaint little hub. Servicing locals with a Coles, Seafood Market, Asian Grocery Store and Hairdressers. The parking area is small and congested, yet central to the plaza businesses.
Different types of grocery stores available around hence really convenient to get everything you need. A few bubble tea shops ans restaurants are opened recently, slowly becomes a better place to go.
This place has a variety of Asian stores and food outlets and also a Woolworths Supermarket at the shops here are old and dated and the place is predominantly patronize by Asian and Indian people
Almost everything is available there, especially souvenirs. Make sure to visit all the shops before buying anything because prices of the same items differ from one shop to another.
Fruit and vegies for every nationality. Always busy always very fresh. Love borlotti beans in the pod. Large navel oranges and lots of fresh herbs and spices. Good price. Love it
Nice little shopping strip with plenty of culture and options. Stopped by the Italian patisserie for a pie and coffee We sat in the outdoor seating. Despite the foot path work.
Top of the shops️Big wide&plenty of room I use a mobility easy to move around.the produce that is shown isn't graded like the supermarket's are. …
This is the Asia part of Australia with a mix of Chinese, Indian, Srilankan ; Malaysian , Vietnam and of course Aussie culture . Good value for money and interesting
Great shopping area with a fantastic multicultural feel but be warned lthe parking experience is similar to what I would imagine parking in the Gaza strip would be.
With 2 Coles and many other shops including restaurants, makes this place a busy one esp during the weekends. I would call it as one stop shop..easy indeed.
Lots of good cheap food, the pavement does tend to dirty and the pedestrians are eager to kill themselves in traffic, so be cautious while driving through.
This is a cool place for one stop shopping, especially for moslem asian in which they can find halal butchers and restaurants as well as asian groceries.
Was at Coles collecting my minies we get wat were given when employee was aloud to go through bag and pick out the ones she wanted. Not on …
A different kind of shopping experience, not one of those big malls, but more a shopping place with shops on the either side of the road.
Amazing place- all kind of shopping- fruits; veggies ; indian shops n grocerries ; restaurants and cafes and take- aways; eggless bakery
You can find almost everything here from Asian groceries, butcher , barber to a lot of other shops.parking is isn't the easiest though
Has many food options and food makerts along with a bus stop and a train station. Pretty much everything you need in the one area
Great range of shops for almost anything you need including the federal MP Claire O'Neill office and good parking available
An ok place to hang out. Nothing very interesting inside the plaza, but plenty of shops and restaurants around the plaza.
Nice local plaza with everything you need day to day but Chadstone is where you'd want to go to enjoy a day out shopping
Good quality, good prices and good service. For me i find everything. I wish there some shop's with casual clothes.
Cheap and great variety of fresh food and eateries variety of different nationalities is to be seen to be believed.
All the fresh veggies & hrrd you need and some hard to find ones too all at better prices than the supermarkets.
this is the place to go if you want cheap and fresh food. i normally buy a bagful of strawberries every 2 weeks
The service is good, it is cheap and there is a great variety of fruits and vegetables of good quality.! …
A convenient One stop shopping in the busy suburb where people with various nationality merge as a community.
Usual place for me. Lot of fruits and veggies including imported ones. A bit expensive though but still ok.
You can find all sort of stuff from asian grocery ,Hongkong supermarket ,Lots of bargain and food outlets.
Train station boom gates signalling is very very very very inefficient causing significant traffic delays.
Everything can buy at there, fresh fruit and vegetables, shopping for hole day at there is good …
Like being in Asia. The old Asia. Good shopping, great value. Mr.Chef good for soup filled dumplings.
Has all the options from veggies, fresh fruits, meat seafood , asian restaurants and grocery stores
Nice location next to Clayton railway station tracks removed great access less busier than before.
Place where you can find fresh and cheap vegetables and fruits. Minimum amount for card payments.
Plenty of options for lunch and dinner. HongKong Supermarket will be my favourite marketing stop.
I like the Plaza, a couple of good eateries and cool on a warm day. It is being kept clean too.
Fruits veggies grocery restaurants household items clothes etc you get almost everything here.
Great value fruit and vegetables...forgot the supermarkets these places are so much cheaper
Parking is a problem. Also shops are expensive as compared to parkmore, southland,Chadstone.
The fruitmart is reasonably priced with access to a good hairdresser and other services
Very vibrant!!, a great place to do your shopping, check it out ; it's well worth it.
Multi-culturally diversified shopping area and restaurants with lots of parking area.
It is so convenient. It has everything around like restaurants, shops, supermarket.
many different type of shops. would be able to get almost everything you need there
I find it's a bit of something from different countries at the shop's in Clayton
Few good shops but really too busy and narrow carpark, too much wasting of time.
Very old mini plaza it's been like that for 30 plus years needs a good face lift
Can buy all groceries with fresh and low price. Possible to one stop shopping.
Not very clean and always over crowded. Although, you get whatever you need.
Variety of Asian markets here. Acceptable price. Environment is pretty good.
Nice place to visit and nice place to shop large variety and good collection
Usually get my fix of HK style of roast pork and duck when I'm in the area.
busy shopping plaza, not easy to find parking. in front of a busy street.
The plaza need an upgrade to meet basic needs such as enough restrooms.
Some good shops, parking on a weekend is tricky, get in & out is slow
Quite a busy place where you can shop for everything at one stretch
You can but fresh vege and fruits from thr market in cheaper price.
Lots of Chinese shop and friendly people. Close to public transport
What plaza...a dirty cold walk way...some good fruit...nothing else
Two fresh fish shops and two greengrocers to compare and compete.
Old place nice settings. For the middle income group it's ideal.
Good range of fresh produces. Especially for Chinese background.
Awesome place. However needs expansion to cater the popularity.
Great variety of products/services in a cosmopolitan atmosphere
An Asian local shopping. Some shops have no english front signs
Large variety and great place to get everything under one roof
Awesome place to go shopping. It's got absolutely everything!
Too busy on weekends get in early if you want to find parking
Great variety of vegetables and always fresh in the morning.
Great selection cheap prices bad parking unless behind coles
Convinient location for multiple shopping and food options.
Plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables. Price is reasonable.
Clayton .. Best foods... butchers and extras... Enjoyed ...
Always hectic and hard to park. Not especially recommended.
You can get what you need but not very charming atmosphere
Nice to walk around. Few cafes and plenty of food options.
Public toilets are horrible, not any decent clothing shop.
Very disapponting to see that most shops have closed down
ONE CAN find ALL kind of shops around here in small area
Love my small China, awesome dumplings, veggies, meat.
Fantastic place to shop anything at economical prices
Good place to get most of day-to-day shopping needs.
