Absolutely the worst mechanic in the city. Took my dead car there with a burning plastic smell and they took three hours to diagnose a problem that should have taken 1 hour or less. Called me saying I needed a new ignition coil and they had 1 that was a "tester" (used once) and would give me a used price for it. Gave them the go ahead and payed a $600 bill. One month later my car died again with the same burning smell, took it to a different shop (because Cloutier snapped a piece of plastic in my car, which i didnt make a fuss about) and was informed that the ignition coil was not only VERY used, but installed completely wrong and burning my car every time I drove it! This was a major fire hazard and danger to me and my family. When I went back to cloutier motors, they basically said they could only refund me $150 for the ignition coil, claiming there is no proof that it was installed wrong and "the other mechanic is just trying to sabotage our business". The other mechanic (that i trust) then proceeded to charge me $400 for service and a BRAND new ignition coil, saying that installing them is basically mechanics 101 and he doesnt understand how one could do it wrong. I tried to argue to cloutier motors how they can justify $600 of work that was completely wrong and dangerous but they were absolutely rude to me and I was clearly taken advantage of. I will never recommend this place to anybody and I truly hope no future customer has a problem like mine, including the thought that your car could have caught on fire from their service. Disgusting how they can get away with this. Would give less than zero stars if I could.

WOW! What a great experience! When I drove away in my QUIET car, I was already writing a google review in my head! I have had many poor experiences in the automotive industry & dread getting car repairs. I was referred to Pete from Cloutier's Auto Services by both my father & my aunt. I called Pete first thing in the morning & had my car back before 4 pm that day. Pete also made sure to keep me informed throughout the day & providing knowledge about the issues involved with my vehicle. Not only did Pete & the team fix the issue I called in for, they also went over and above to ensure my vehicle was safe before I left & fixed one of my lights. In addition I have had issues with my car stereo for over three years. I mentioned the issue to Pete and he found a solution so effortlessly. I couldn't believe it. I am very picky when it comes to garages, as I do not know a whole lot about cars, and am always a little concerned that I'm going to get ripped off. A friend of mine recommended Cloutier's to me, (I think, mainly because a buddy of his works there). I have been nothing short of impressed. I go to the one on Pembina. Pete's a great guy. Thorough, straight forward, easy to talk to. Puts everything in layman's terms for me, and will even show me the parts as he explains everything. He's even come up with 1 or 2 ingenious ways of solving some of my issues that have saved me a lot of money. He will always text before doing anything that we hadn't previously discussed. Afterwards, he will go through everything with me, as well as anything else they may have found that may need some work in the future. I have never felt taken advantage of there. Quite the opposite. They do great work. Highly recommend, especially if you're like me, and don't trust a lot of shops. ✌

LIES, LIES & MORE LIES FROM YAR AKAU - See her rant below. Yar has only been to Cloutier Auto Once (September 2020), YAR appears to be angry with Cloutier Auto because her fuel pump has failed in August 2022. Technicians at Cloutier Auto are good but are not psychic. Tech`s can not tell you when certain parts on your vehicle will fail! Yar states that we assessed her tires for a fee - NO such service charge occurred. As for her vehicle repair in 2020, we fixed her current problem, YES, we had to put gas in YAR`S vehicle as she dropped off her Nissan Rogue with absolutely NO GAS (yellow low fuel warning light was on). As for your personal statement on "Ripping Off Women" - That is a rude & ignorant statement. We treat ALL people here with the utmost respect respect. If you look at YAR`S other Google reviews, She is not happy with anybody except her hair stylist.

First time to Cloutier Auto - I stopped in inquiring about an estimate for an engine replacement. My repair facility gave me an estimate for $4240.00 for a used engine replacement. I was wondering if Cloutier Auto could beat it? The manager asked if i would let a technician bring the car in so they could get vehicle details & inspect. After about 15 minutes, a mechanic came up front & said that I do NOT need an engine replacement! Turns out the water pump was worn out & that was making the knocking noise. They brought me into the shop & showed me what part was bad. It cost me $446 plus taxes. My car is not making the knocking sound anymore! Pete & Al were very nice to me, they made me feel like we were long time friends. I met 2 mechanics and they were funny. I live in Transcona area but i have now found a new place for car repairs. Two Thumbs Up!

I have been here a few times and dealing with Pete is great! Dealing with Alain, is not pleasant at all. He is very unprofessional and will make up reasons to charge you more than nessesary. When taking my vehicle there this last time, I was confident I was in good hands from my previous experience with Pete. I was treated very rudely, talked down to, I was scolded about how “poorly” I treated my vehicle. He also attempted to threatened, if I didn’t fix certain things at that moment, I would be lucky if I was able to drive off the lot. When I questioned him, he quickly deflected the question and made excuses for himself and his staff. I’m truly appalled and disgusted with his lack of customer service. I will NEVER be back! What a waste of time and money. If you end up dealing with Alain, run fast and far!

Pete and the Cloutier's Auto Service staff are wonderful! My family and I have brought numerous vehicles to Pete and he is always honest, fast and reasonably priced. Recently I had the brakes squeaking in my truck, after months and months of trying to get them fixed at my dealership shop (where I was told that it was normal, as I had the brake pads and rotors replaced TWICE) I took it to Pete and he instantly found the problem. Pete also takes the time to explain the problem to you, in non-mechanic terms. Often times when you go to a shop they hit you with technical terms hoping you will just agree and pay the shop (especially if you are a woman!). That is not the case here, I trust Pete and his team and will use this shop for all my vehicles needs in the future. Thank you Cloutier's Auto!

Took my 2010 Nissan Pathfinder into Cloutier's which I discovered while riding the bus ......issues with the heater/ac blower fan, u joints and front brakes needing to be done.....met Pete and couldn't believe the manner in which I was treated....like a human being not just a work order !.....Pete explained everything that needed to be repaired, kept me updated while the work was being done and again showed me when I picked up my vehicle what had been replaced and why.....an experience most positive....met a couple of the techs who did the work and was impressed ......to me, who appreciates value for my buck spent, this place is somewhere I should have been dealing with a long time ago....they treat you like they would want to be treated !!!!!......Awesome

Amazing service! I needed work done on a vehicle that was not properly serviced in quite a few years, and I was pretty sure it was going to be a disaster! While it was costly to repair so many issues (some pretty major), the work needed to make the car drive worthy was done very professionally, and I was not made to feel like an idiot. Every problem was explained and every cost was broken down and easy to understand. As a female consumer, I appreciated being taken seriously and not talked down to. I am totally satisfied with Cloutier’s Auto Service and very happy with Pete and the crew there! Thank you!

Had what I thought was a battery issue, called Pete at the shop and he told me he could squeeze it in for me between appointments. Fix took longer as it wasn't a battery problem, they found the issue quick, and called and let me know what they were doing every step of the way, gave me plenty of options and informed me that the fix wasn't necessary at the time, I never felt pressured or talked down to or made to feel like this had to happen for my car to run. Great experience and will definitely be my auto shop of choice. Hopefully I don't have to see them much though.

I took my Blazer to Cloutier's for a wheel alignment and to have the upper control arm bushings replaced . Pete treated me as a valued customer, not like other places that I've been to in the past. They checked out the vehicle, and sent me texts explaining what was wrong, and what he needed to do to repair it. I was very pleased with the honesty, and integrity that the shop shows in dealing with customers! This is something that is very rare in this city, I would refer this shop to anyone that would ask my for a reference. Thank you for your service!

My wife and I started going to Cloutier’s a few years ago when we lived in the area. We have since moved but make the drive to see Pete for regular maintenance on our older vehicles. Always professional and fair, Pete often refuses to do certain work as it’s too expensive/not worth it, but always finds a better less expensive solution. He even helped me through my recent accident write off/purchase of a replacement vehicle!! Just put winter tires on it for me as well. Absolutely no complaints over the years and always great service.

I recently had the privilege of using the services of cloutier’s on pembina highway. What a breath of fresh air! They were so professional but also in tune to my personal needs. Going to a new mechanic can be a nerve-wracking experience, thanks to unfortunate encounters with less-than-honest places. We have taken our car to Cloutier's a couple of times and both times, the fix was a lot simpler than we were anticipating. They could have told us it was something a lot more complicated and expensive, but were honest that the terrible grinding noise was just a build up of ice and dirt. What a relief to feel you can trust your mechanic!

Ignore all 1 star reviews. These guys are great. Respectful, polite, sincere, honest and fast; to name a few of the qualities experienced at this shop. My regular mechanic at another shop was away on vacation and I brought my car to Cloutier's on an emergency basis. I made an excellent choice and my car is back up and running better than ever. I cannot stress enough that any negative reviews should be ignored. You will receive A+ service from the team here.

I would give as many stars as there were available. This whole shop is an ideal situation on so many levels. If there is anyone that finds this overwhelming, this is your spot. I needed winter tires this year and everyone was booking for mid December. I called Cloutier's over the phone and they were able to not only get me tires and rims but also an installation appointment the week they arrived. They are very professional and everything was completed within 30 minutes of me dropping off my vehicle. My wife was also able to get winter tires put on yesterday after speaking with them on Monday.

Pete was fantastic on the phone, and managed to take a look at our vehicle very quickly. His communication was fantastic, and he's so genuine and honest. Turns out there was nothing at all wrong with the vehicle, and we were charged accordingly. Was referred by a friend who had nothing but positive experiences in the past. Clearly excellent customer service is the norm here. I think we've found our new go-to mechanic!

Pete at Coutier, was great , gave me an estimate and showed me everything that they repaired . The first time I took my car in it had to be towed in , the car would start and when I put my foot on the break, it would stop, he fixed it . I am pretty apprehensive about taking my car in , he explained everything to me , other places treat me like I am an idiot, because I am a woman.

I went to Cloutier’s because my regular garage couldn’t get me in for weeks. What a good decision! Peter, the manager, was very professional and efficient and explained the work they did. I have been going to Cloutier's for about 10 years as have family and friends. Pete is great to deal with. Very professional and the rates of repair seem to be on par and fair. Cars are expensive to repair no matter where you go, but you want to be able to trust place you leave your car. My experience have always been positive.

Called to have new tires on my car. Pete gave me a few types and recommended the best ones for my vehicle. They were put on two days later. Service is always friendly and always done efficiently. The tech that processed my work order text me in a timely manner regarding repairs. He outline the cost and what had to be done. When I picked my vehicle that same afternoon he went over all the repairs and showed me the damage to the old parts. Very courteous. I would recommend this shop to friends and family.

Been here a few times now. Best mechanic I've ever used. They try very hard to work with your budget, I've never had a workmanship issue, and they consistently under-promise and then over-deliver. They came highly recommended to me, and I fully pass that recommendation along.
