"I would not give 1 star"

"• convenient • car park is always busy • stock is always being replenished • limited in stock compared to other larger coles stores • one if the better coles • needs much more variety • fruit and veg section is boring update** thank you for fixing the issue with reception and stopping the selling of customer data through the survey questions which, without answering you were at the mercy of not having reception which made it so difficult that many patrons I know in the neighbourhood had issues with that they stopped buying their groceries"
"Workers are amazing and friendly but the “manager”, Sharon, who thinks she owns the whole Coles franchise needs to go immediately"
"Quite easily the worst Coles in the area, which is unfortunate for the locals as the next closest Coles is in Berwick but this one pales in comparison"
I would not give 1 star. Today is the first day this was happened to me. Every time I am going to this Coles and a week I spent more than $ 200. Today also I spent $162. Problem is the Lady stand on Self-checkout counter was very rude, poor customer service. (I assume Indian Lady, around 10am. But, I am not happy to publish her name here. I should call to store manager and should be informed about this.) Because when I was going through the self checkout counter she said to me you are not allowed to go via this counter and go to the counter who are Coles staff checking out. She said my Trolley is big and no space here. However, since so far I was checked out through this self checkout counter and this was not happened before. But the problem is she said this only for me. Other all customers were checked out(trolley customers) through this counter. Rude rude very rude lady. I was hurry to go (My husband called and said that my lil was crying). However, I refused to go the counter she recommended for me. And last, I forgot to scan my flybuys and I went to her to enter the flybuys details and get the free knife . Then she said I don’t have enough credits to get that knife and I know I have enough credits and if not enough credits can pay half for that. But she said that I should pay full price of that. She was very rude and very racist.
Everytime I walk to the shops there is always a worker either vaping or smoking on the chair (with the no smoking sign above it) at the back entrance. Can you please tell your staff to smoke/ vap elsewhere, it is literally at the entrance where we have to walk in/ walk out of. I don’t appreciate my child having to breathe it in and it makes me sick breathing it in as well… especially when we are out walking trying to exercise and get some fresh air. I have seen several staff members doing it. The older ones smoking and the younger workers vaping. There is also a lot of elderly/ pregnant people who come in at this entrance and breathing in second hand smoke is not good for their health either. I am not usually a prude but this has been going on for years now and I’ve honestly had enough. I am sitting in my car feeling sick after coping a mouth full of it… it bothers me that they are happy to sit there in their coles uniform doing it not a good look for the store
• convenient • car park is always busy • stock is always being replenished • limited in stock compared to other larger coles stores • one if the better coles • needs much more variety • fruit and veg section is boring update** thank you for fixing the issue with reception and stopping the selling of customer data through the survey questions which, without answering you were at the mercy of not having reception which made it so difficult that many patrons I know in the neighbourhood had issues with that they stopped buying their groceries. holding customers for ransom is not a pleasant experience, especially selling data to third parties unexpected and down right appalling, especially to loyal customers. hopefully their are no other stores involved in selling patrons data to third parties.
Workers are amazing and friendly but the “manager”, Sharon, who thinks she owns the whole Coles franchise needs to go immediately. An extremely unpleasant lady who treats not only her employees like garbage but also the customers who literally pay her for HER paycheck. Never smiles and is constantly walking around like an angry little bull ant, whatever authority you think you possess, you do not, it’s humiliating. I’m aware of multiple people who had to quit their jobs because they couldn’t stand to work with her. Please do everyone a favour and leave :) if not adjust your attitude because your disrespectful behaviour towards your employees and customers is very obvious to everyone and only deepens the detest the whole Clyde community has for you.
Quite easily the worst Coles in the area, which is unfortunate for the locals as the next closest Coles is in Berwick but this one pales in comparison. The only positive thing I can say is that the staff are helpful and friendly, apart from that: it's always busy and was designed way too small to service the local area (which won't stop growing any time soon). The baskets are always dirty, even the new style baskets haven't been cleaned in quite a while. There's always some fruit and vegetables missing/out of stock which is just unacceptable. I cringe every time I think about having to visit here but you are limited living in Clyde. You need to do better Coles, we deserve better as a lot of money is pumped into your business across the country.
What an awful store! I went on a Friday night, and the place was a mess! There were no baskets for customers to use at the front, so I had to go looking for one. The products on the shelves were all mixed up, and mostly without price tags. Customers who have left their drink containers on the shelves had not been cleaned up. There were cardboard boxes and pieces EVERYWHERE! I had to physically move them with my feet just in case someone slipped on them. Staff stock trollies were blocking aisles, and parked crooked. I have seen cleaner stores in third world countries. I can't believe management let this store get this bad. I would shop elsewhere if you're concerned about hygiene, your safety, and food safety.
We were at Clyde Coles at about 10.30 am today, 21st March 2020.....with all this covid-19 virus happening I would have thought that there would be anti bacterial wipes for the trolley handles as well as someone with a bottle of sanitizer to squirt in everyone's hands as they enter the store to help prevent spreading the virus as well as keeping the virus out of the shop as much as humanly possible. Are you taking this seriously enough? We will now avoid your store and continue to support shops who are genuinely trying to deal with the virus as advised by the government. A very disappointed couple... Robyn & Terry
Special request to the Coles, They should display the return policy specially in fresh food area. Coles always market they have return policy with them but they hide they don't have a return policy for fresh foods. Unfortunately I am on of the person who get in the Coles scam. When I took to return the product to Clyde Coles they refused and shonon start to tell a big story but it is not interested butter luck next time for her. But it's a against the consumer law of Victoria fail to display the information to the customer. I took some photos in those area and check there are no information. Thank you.
The service we received late this afternoon from Coles Liquorland was very poor. There were two female staff members but only one trying to serve the many waiting customers. The other female was leaning on pallets of beer slabs loudly talking on the phone which appeared to be a personal call. Even after being asked by her colleague for assistance, she helped with that one customer and then walked away and back to her call leaving us all still queued up. Really surprised by the lack of customer assistance.
Very less staff on front desk just one register open and no one at kiosk. Big line on register . Asked the team member to call priority he said can't call PA not working . I said call on your head set he said no one else is wearing on the other side . I understood he don't wanna help . Really bad customer service . Not the first time at nights there is just one team member on self serve and they refuse to open a register even if you have a big trolley. Avoid going there
The click and collect department don’t need to be so rude to those following up on their order 10 mins out, not having used this service before. We get it, maybe you get a number of these calls a day, maybe you’ve been yelled at by some customers, but those that are politely querying when they should collect their order so no one is wasting their time, show the same respect back. It’s not about everyone else should be kind to you, it’s about everyone being kind to one another!
Started of bad,but ended on a good note. No wipes inside to sanitise trolley so asked a coles employee man at the fruit and veg,he just looked and shrugged his shoulders had to wait for another customer to come in before going to the outside despenser for a wipe. When I got to the register I had a lovely lady called Samara, she was so friendly and so appreciative of the conversation we got to have, made up for the rudness of the other employee. Thumbs up to Samara
they treat their customers terribly, always gossiping to other members of staff, using profanity and sounding incredibly unprofessional, the women at the self serve checkouts need to look at themselves in the mirror and actually try smiling, maybe say hello once in a while too, so miserable..........i mean they don't even do anything, the customers are doing all the work.......and paying their wages. Plenty of improvement to be made here.
I can't fault the workers at this store, especially Max his a gem but one major issue is the shop lifting and the threats that happen. I'm aware workers can't do anything but it's always the same group of kids and it makes me feel so un safe especially when I have my children, something needs to be put into place to ban these people from the store to keep others safe. Police need to be informed before someone is seriously hurt.
I have 3 young children and finding a baby toddler trolley is usually difficult, on more then one occasion I have had to follow other parents out of the store to get there trolley once they are done. There steak selection is always cut very thinly. This week I was about to do my weekly shopping when the centre was evacuated and the staff handled it extremely badly. Would recommend using another Coles if it is an option for you.
I was not happy with the lady on the register who had stopped a new mum who had her baby wrapped around her back asleep, the register lady physically checked the baby for stolen goods and greatly embarrassed the mum,I was not happy with the employee and told her she was rude to do that I hope l don't have to go through her register again, also I thought it was illegal to touch any onelike the store but not some of the staff
They have been getting rid of all the brand's and packaging that I like. For instance Purina cat food sachets came in a box of so many in a box now I have to buy them separately pump one litter bottle of wawaterAnd of course the tub of icecream flavour boisenberry swirl was hard to get as always sold out but now they don't stock it anymoreI could go on but instead I will go to Woolies. Thanks for nothing Cole.
Just down the shops today. The Coles shopping trolley man picking up trolleys in Green Gully Road side emptied out plastic water bottles, paper and plastic bags from inside shopping trolleys and threw the rubbish into the garden bed. His reply “ people shouldn’t leave rubbish in the trolleys” With the amount of rubbish already in that garden bed we really don’t need that kind of attitude
The worst Coles store that I have ever shopped at. Never again. The isle signage is inadaquate. The productsheets at the end of the isles are not comprehensive enough. The 3 staff that I requested help from, had NO idea; One staff member directed me to the "pet food isle" for horseradish. It took me 1 hour to do a shop that normally would take 35 minutes. Go somewhere else.
Great selection of groceries available in this store. Friendly customer service. There is also a self service area. Very secure with in the shopping Center. Ample parking and easy access from car parking. Very clean and tidy throughout. I noticed a security guard on site also and constantly monitored by security cameras throughout and also outside in the carpark.
Why does the woman at the front think she can just assume people are stealing the service here is shocking doesn't matter that you spent half your pay at your local supermarket every week! the minute you put your drinkable yoghurt in your pocket AFTER SCANNING IT instead of the grocery bag, the lady's at the front will accuse you of stealing!!!
Suppose we should shop at coles in clyde north often because it's the closest supermarket to our home, but the service keeps us away ... staff are not professional at all, rude and can't feel any welcoming from the staff especially the front help desk and checkout ladies... coles... you need to train your staff how to service the customers better.
Store dirty , rubbish everywhere, wrong order, almost half order missing , beef cooked on dirty grill could be tasted In Burgers, tried calling store numerous time but no answer and never answer phone. This is not first time our order was wrong, food missing or presentation and taste terrible. Will never go to this store again.
I don't generally shop at this store. I did find it confusing as it was not set up the same as other Coles stores.Hand sanitiser was empty but they did have wipes available. The staff were very friendly & helpful in directing me to the produce/articles I was " dashing in for" which took a lot longer than expected
Just been there at 7.30pm on Saturday. Only 2 register were open and self checkout was there. All 3 places 15 plus customers were waiting and they didn't care opening more checkout registers. There were about 6 to 7 staff filling at the back. Really poor management, wasted alot of time. Wouldn't go there again.
Very rude self ..service check out lady watched my wife put through our groceries the proceeds to question me if i paid for our meat showed the receipt to her she grunted and walked away no sorry at all . Just because i tatts and a bald head and look rough no need to think im a thief
Food is amazing at this place but girl on service today, was very very rude. I asked her if I can change my order to two regular size pasta to Family size after I paid, she denied and she said but don’t do refunds. She needs to learn some manners too while she talk to customers
Fantastic experience this morning I had my 8 week old baby in a wrap in me and was struggling lifting my shopping out of trolley into the checkout the manager came over and lifted it all for me and then packed my bags into the trolley with the friendly checkout assistant
Nicely laid out and well spaced isles. The only criticism would be that there were no trollies to be seen. Despite covid related issues there was plenty of stock and trollies to use. They now have a larger self serve area that has parking for trollies....nice move..
My mom was very happy with the service provided by Aleyna, she was very kind and provided great customer service and helped my mother. Just commenting so that she get recognised for her great customer service skills and kind attitude towards elderly people. Thanks
Convenient location, and has everything you need. Sometimes the staff stacking up the stocks moves around in most of the area blocking the way for customers to purchase, very inconvenient, specially for a heavily pregnant women with other kids like myself around.
The stench coming from the deli and fish counter, I actually (dry reach) from the smell of unclean fridges, it is disgraceful. I would never ever buy anything from there. Please clean this area up as I am sure I am not the only one thinking and smelling this!
Don't set your click&collect for 8-10am of you can't get your groceries at 8am. And have staff just ignore the phone or turn it off so they don't have to tell you that they aren't ready. I'm absolutely sick of it. 5 F'ing weeks in a row now.
Only coles store, no woolies or aldi. Worst customer service ever. Never going back to this store ever. Don't want to name anyone but service desk people on the front end need to have better customer service skills and good attitude.
Good variety, well spaced out and wide isles to navigate. Clean and modern and friendly staff who have always been more than helpful to solve any problem I’ve ever put forward to them. Not much more u would want from a store really.
Please Don’t buy chicken at this Coles .. 8 out of 10 times chicken thighs are gone off even when it says it’s not expired… the deli area smells of gone off meat all the time. I have told them before but no one there seems to care.
Good range of stock supply but very slow check out. Too much focus on self checkout and staff cutbacks :-( Once again I had to wait for the quick check out to process 4 items. There was some delay in the system. VERY frustrating
Its Coles. The store is busy but there is plenty of room. To move in most parts of the store. The carpark is poorly designed and the entry/exit roads are ridiculous, thanks to the city planners for approving this nightmare.
Everything is available. Most of the time it is busy and staff refill even during the which makes bit hard to move around with trolleys. Never had to interact with staff so unsure about their customer service skills.
Awesome store.. where you’ll find your daily needs stuff and that too in good price plus quality. For new comers and visitors it’s a good place to buy something.. Also just next to this store we have McDonald’s.
I use the Coles Online click and collect facility at this Coles on a weekly basis and its a great service. Very easy process with items delivered to the car.. Saves me a great deal of time! Excellent service..
Been trying to call this store for 2 days and they have not picked up not to mention when I go their some of their workers are so rude to not only me but other customers to if I could give zero stars I would
Very impressed with this Coles as it was modern and had everything I needed. A well set out store with modern facilities for their customer's. I will be back to do my workplaces shopping again.
This is our local coles that we do our weekly grocery shop at!! Always has plenty of stock and friendly staff!! We always go early in the morning when it’s usually a bit quieter!! …
Worst coles in the south east area. So many products are unavailable or constantly out of stock. The staffing is dreadful with registers barely open and the place is a mess and smells.
Love this Coles. Clean (especially during COVID-19) Well stocked. Great baked goods section. Staff are always friendly and helpful. I enjoy going to this Coles in comparison to others.
Honestly this coles is always low or n/a on something you need. Friendly service. But always leaving missing something you were after usually take a few extra ks and go to aldi
This used to be the go to Coles until they updated the service, or should I say no service, area. We should be trying to create jobs not replace the people with machines.
Thank you so much Emily and your colleague for being so kind and patient with getting my phone activated. You were very busy but still found the time to help me.
I love Clyde North. My husband and I love the new look flower pop up shop. Shopped daily at Coles. It is something about how the Isles are set up. …
Clean store love the wider aisles so using a walker is very helpful. Staff are very helpful and curious. It isn't the same for other shoppers that ar rude.
Had everything I needed and was in and put relatively quickly considering I was shopping at the dinner rush time with many customers attending the store.
Indian Lady on front end by the name of Sharon is the rudest piece of work I’ve ever seen in a Coles store Talks to people like the dirt on her shoes
Good store, however their Customer service standards need a lift. The staff needs more training in how to acknowledge and deal with a customer.
Always love coming here. Although there is no reception in the building. Make sure you transfer the right cash into your bank before entering!
much better than the local wollies, has more variety of products and has better deli and bakery food. only issue is the car park can get busy
Well the new Coles at the Junction with self service in hand ✋️ and everything has changed to make our lives easier and let's see how it goes
The staff are so helpful and friendly especially to the elderly. The store is always clean bright and well stocked. Its my favorite store.
The best Coles. Staff are so caring and concern. Extremely polite and helpful. Keep up the good work. Wish you all the best.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Best Coles bakery in town, great and friendly staff, the fruit and veg are always fresh :) have you seen their deli? omg! …
Helpful staff . Checkout lady helped pack my bags & trolley. Opened a register so I didn't have to wait. A nice change to most
Worst. It is only self serve counters are available and it is very difficult handle when you have lot of items in your trolley
Great little shopping centre for groceries, liquor, novelty goods, cakes, Chinese food, a florist, tobacconist and chemist.
Social distancing is a joke. Leaving a half empty trolley in the store where customers are able to trip over, is poor.
Plenty of stock but some increased prices. Loves the number of actual humans helping us check out! Very pleasant girl.
I am unhappy that the price of Coles brand drinks have gone up by 33%. Service at this Coles is excellent as always.
It has the basic shops you need . Poor parking and difficult access. Handy if your desperate for a basic item.
Terrible service today by store manager called "Waqas"... he was so rude and put me down in front of my kids..
Friendly service, pity that every item incl fruit & vegies is still wrapped in plastic bags or containers.
Very clean with friendly helpful staff. My favourite supermarket. They are rarely out of products I need
This newly refurbished Coles has a self service bread slicer, juice machine and many other conveniences.
Very beautiful strip mall I love the automatic spinning door makes me feel like a business man …
Love shopping at Coles. Good price, nice selection of groceries. Fresh fruits and vegetables.
Really nice place. Did work experience there and even their storage rooms are clean and tidy.
Fairly new store good layout helpful staff Good selection of groceries Covid-19 safety plan
The girl serving at counter s....m very rude, no hello no ty. Need training. Disgusting.
Never have anything in stock not always need to walk around produce trolleys in the way
Experience was good. But no stock to buy. The essential needs to get by is lacking atm
Accessible with ample parking. Only disadvantage is that the store closes at 11pm!
Why does the staff at the front think they can just assume people are stealing…..
Just another supermarket, staff more helpful than some other Coles' nearby.
Never have enough stock, always low on shelves no matter what time or day.
Love this pleasant and clean shop centre. Nice range of shops surrounding.
Great big supermarket lots of choice always clean and friendly staff
Never enough HUMAN checkouts open standing 5 deep only one open.
Good location. Clean. Easy to access. No internet access though
the people there told us wehere to find pie crust so prety cool
Not enough staffed check outs. Waited 20 mins to buy 3 items.
My local love it awesome staff keep up the great work …
there's not enough staff.....no mince.... but a large store
It was a very convenient and smooth shopping
Great size store and handy to have nearby
Well set out store with great produce
Fix your opening hours online
My $50 shop now costs $80
Very friendly staff
No gates thanks.
