Well I'll be honest as this was a strange shopping experience at Coles. I went there with my support worker as I'm disabled and as soon as we walked in a lady was yelling at security and staff to give her phone back as she just bought it, she was really creating a scene and I'm sure she has misplaced her phone and nobody had taken it but she was also sure someone did take it, everybody was watching as this was truly weird. I continued on shopping which was fine and we had finished we went to the express checkout to pay and another lady had walked in with a trolley yelling help me help me and eventually her friend came up to her and said what's wrong, the lady said what am I here for so the other lady explained what to get as the other lady was having a hard time accepting this information. I then paid and left with my support worker and said to her only in Frankston would such things occur. If you go there be prepared for anything.
Consistently friendly and helpful staff. Occasional staff shortages, probably due to covid, has left us waiting for checkout service. But, not really a problem and we always return nevertheless as we really like this shop. Update ....usually always consistently great, but today a checkout operator ( I won't say names because I don't want to get them into trouble) would not help with packing my groceries. She just flipped them through everywhere, causing biscuits to fall on the floor and break, plus my magazine Further update 28/08/22. Sundays are getting busier now for shopping at Cole's as a lot of people have realised they can park for free. Unfortunately Coles hasn't increased checkout operators in the morning, resulting in ridiculously long waits to get groceries through. Today, for example, there were 4 customers ahead of me, all with huge trolleys of groceries, just waiting to be served
On 7 Oct 2023, I bought 4 mangoes: 1 for regular price $3 and 3 discounted for $1. The cashier scanned only one mango for $3 and then multipled by 4. I found that when you spend over $150, overcharge is not uncommon. Next day I asked for refund; cashier called store manager, maybe he had a badge Joe. I told him the story. He said disrespectfully and sarcastically that they never had mangoes for $1. I said that I bought $1 mangoes yesterday and I have photo as a proof. He had no interest to see my photo. I asked his full name. He suddenly lost his cool, raised his voice sharply and asked for security guard (!). How that is possibly that managers with zero respect for customers and little knowledge about store prices can keep their jobs in Coles? Before making complaint in Coles store, think twice, guys: are you prepared to be bullied by store manager?
Pretty good Coles, can't complain really. The only thing i got upset about here is that when my little dog was sick I didn't want to leave him at home incase he was sick again and he needed the vet again quickly so I bring him with me and I was told by the security there in the center that if I carried him the whole time and didn't let him down that I could bring him in but when I tried to I got kicked out (rudely), even though I was told by 2 other security guards that I could. It wouldn't have bothered me as much but I checked twice if I could do it and both times I got a yes plus they know me very well there so they knew it was something I had to do. I'd understand if he was a little bigger and if I had taken him even remotely near food or something that it wouldn't be acceptable but I didn't so that's the only thing I'd say about them there.
Good store which is always clean and has a decent selection of products however their biggest issue is the lack of staff they seem to have on, especially in the evening. The minimum number of staff they do have on are always lovely however they could seriously do with a few more on instead of their skeleton staff that are run off their feet and can only do so much while long lines of people have to wait because of this issue. Coles surely has more than enough money to employ a few extra staff instead of making their customers wait endlessly and needs to spend some of it on increasing its staff numbers at this store. I often see how busy it is as I approach the store and walk away to shop elsewhere because they just can't seem to put enough people on.
Coles has this one security guard, he is familiar to me from somewhere else he has worked and he doesn't like me as he's done nothing but set me up then wairs till in self serce so he can make a big scene, embarrassing me in front of as many as he possibly can. He then banned me from the store and makes a big scene everytime im near there even kicking me out of liqourland. Not many like him, including the rest of the security team whom he calls up and interupts for no other reason other than his problems and his boredom getting the better of him, he is in the wrong job thats for certain. Other than him Coles and thr rest of thestaffare great.
I work in disability and was recently shopping with a friend who requires a support dog. The first staff to question it were very accommodating and had no issues but on the way out one woman had a very big issue. She was adamant that the dog required a special vest; they dont. And was weirdly rude to my friend about it. The redhead “service” manager could do with some extra training as her level of care and service was deplorable. A quick google search would have shown that support dogs do not require an identifying vest in Victoria. Very disappointed as I’ve been shopping here for 10+ years and I know she’s been working a long time.
This is hands down the most convenient supermarket in Frankston. It's in a great location on Bayside's ground floor, easily accessible by both car and public transport. The staff have always been very helpful and they're great at managing the check-outs so that there's hardly ever a wait. I've yet to be disappointed with their range of stock - the bakery is particularly impressive - but due to the high volume of people moving through the store, the shelves are often messy and products go unfaced. Whether you're in a rush or are doing your weekly shop, Coles has you covered.
COLES SUPERMARKET FRANKSTON BAYSIDE SHOPPING CENTRE is situated on the Ground Floor --- very neatly & brightly stacked shelves of every produce & ingredients for your kitchen needs --- Freezer & fridge grocery items -- Appliances & stationary needs --- toiletries & bathroom products etc.... Beautifully displayed huge DELI Section -- & your packeged meat / chicken / sausage etc display fridge... Service with a smile - very prompt & friendly staff DON'T FORGET YOUR (* FLYBUYS CARD POINTS *) The Self-Serve Checkout counters are always handy for Service.....
Shopping at this store multiple times, just the way I look seems to attract negative attention. Little do these pawns know I have a diploma and degree but as I look a little different I'm treated as such, different, I'm followed by staff and security, especially by a heavy set woman, shall I say fat or obese who mainly works the self service area, she seems to have a hard on for anyone who looks different, I do not know what it is, but I honestly feel discomfort and discriminated against when ever I enter this store. Terrible service!
This store has been declining for some time now . It has a run down dreary depressive feel to it. The range has reduced and choice is limited . Worst of all, the staff a are rude and unfriendly. Only ever one tile open and a que at that. The other Saturday evening I was rudely made to put a full trolley of shopping through the 12 items checkout because the woman didn't want to open a till - not one till open! I am done with Coles now and shall never return. Woolworths is by far a better, cleaner, fresher pleasant place to shop.
HORRIBLE!!!!! I went in there yesterday with a group of friends and I was the only one who got my bag checked after all of us bought things, keep in mind I was the only person of colour in that group, THIS IS RACIALLY PROFILING AT ITS FINEST, after this I saw all of my white friends let out of the door without being checked. I am appalled by the service provided by the staff and security guards. it is disgraceful to be seeing this behaviour in 2021 let alone any year. will not be shopping here again. I am disgusted.
Discrimination at its best. Will be notifying coles centrally and have had local media interest of staff who were discriminating against what they deemed to be ‘couples’ as people were walking next to eachother and unable to purchase products due to what I was told was a store policy. Never knew coles had a policy of discrimination. It’s not only against the consumer act but also the discrimination act. Did try to explain a simple sign or some notification would be helpful.
This is my favourite Coles group shop everything is so cheap when you by Coles home brand and you can get a lot on your shopping list for your money. and this is why I love because of Coles Quick Sale you by the meat you need and put the meat in the Freeza of the meat won't go off if the Quick Sale has a expiry of 1 to 2 days time left money can go a long way at Coles if you are on a budget say of $76 to $80 Coles has all the items you will need on a budget.
Nice experience, social distancing been implemented. Lots of food and ideas for cooking a meal or trying out your own recipes. So much food it's very hard to choose, but best to stick to your needs and requirements if you are not using a shopping trolley. Otherwise it can get hard to carry. But take your own shopping trolley or the store's but make sure you bring the store's shopping trolley back when finished.
Lovely, lovely staff. Enjoy the store layout & workers for over 20 years... (But, certain Click Collect girl & packers not so much: for "allowing" my groceries to be thrown in diagonally or upside down, biscuits and bakery squashed, overpacked to the point of breaking through the bags and best of all are the cans that started magically leaking by the time I get home!) In-store since November last year.
One of the worst stores ever. The customer service manager Alicia is so bad. She has the worst attitude towards employees and the customers. And then another short lady named Caroline who is always looking for thieves, she tries to put others in trouble all the times. They should be sacked from their jobs. The rest of the team members are too good. Coles needs to get rid of both of them
We always ensure we a served by the same lovely checkout operator, she is hearing impaired and is slowly teaching me a few signs while we communicate.. she is very funny, quick and very kind and friendly... she has an awesome no nonsense attitude too.. her impairment doesn't allow customers to take advantage of her.. we think she's the bestemployee Coles has!!!
It's a SUPER MARKET what can I say the only thing on saying is it too expensive they put things on special and when they go off special their increased by a couple of cents and every time you get your Docket. They say you have saved x amount of dollars all SUPER MARKET are price gouging because of covid-19 because the consumer always in the neck
All Products across the store are poorly organised. Where do you find things? Why aren’t all coles organised in the same consistent way? Why are the laundry cleaning products in the same isle as the frozen food? …Why do I have to explain this to you… I’m giving up! I’ll never shop at coles again (Woolworths isn’t any better bu the way)
I don't do here very often as I have to pay for parking and the car park is closer to Woolworths (IF I happen to do a food shop in the Frankston Centre). I only shop here if I am passing by and need to pick up a few things. I find this store is often busy and as I don't go there often I sometimes find it hard to find things.
There were lots of things on special which was good and the majority of the things were the things I needed. Was a bit disappointing when I was in the bakery department and I wanted to get some picklets and they were frozen. They didn't have a very good variety of Cup of Soups either. I much prefer to shop at Safeway.
The loading bay and surroundings of Coles is very badly littered, terrible. And they are located near the beach, so all of their litter is blowing into Australia's natural waterways. Coles has a duty of care but it doesn't seem like it cares much for the environment. Staff is rude when you try to address this.
I wish I could give zero star, Never ever buy any type of insurance from coles, they are absolutely rubbish and disgusting!!! We paid nearly 2K premium a year for a landlord insurance with all the extra rental protection purchased, however got absolutely nothing to claim back with $18000 outstanding rent.
Good selection of items & never had an issue at this Coles store, but possibly as I always use the self-service check-outs but it's an easy drop in & buy a few essentials as the range still doesn't quite accommodate for my weekly shop as I need a very wide range of items but can't fault this Coles!
Considering that I had to use 4 different food vouchers, the server and the people behind me wrre extremely pleasant and patient with me, which, with my 3 young children, made a very embarrassing situation alot more easier to deal with! Great friendly and helpful and kind service here!@
Great Specials every day, nice selection of fresh Fruit n Vegies, varied Deli & Seafood selections, yummy Bakery products & meat sections at great prices. Staff are very friendly & give excellent Customer Service too. Always have good mobile phone specials on offer also. …
Store ok, friendly staff & a good choice of groceries It has changed since younger shelf stocking staff put on. They're slack with packing shelves & picking up cardboard box rubbish of the floor, it's a OH & S issue. Manager needs to do something about this issue ASAP.
The 50+ old man- Steve works in the back storeroom, he is lazy and selfish, irresponsibility. I saw him talked to his friend for hour in the store during the working hours many times. Pay wage for this kind low work ethic staff that is why the items cost so much in Coles.
Not the easiest Coles to get to and out of. If it's a light shop park at Dan Murphy's. If it's a big shop you need the centers Carpark as the trolleys don't go pass a point. The shop is generally clean and well stocked but the deli needs a update but the staff are great.
Good, large Coles with a full range of products, bakery, deli, seafood and large fresh produce section. The minus here is it's not easily accessible, sort of buried at the inconvenient end of the shopping centre, and parking is not free (minimum fee is $1.50)
To busy and not enough people on working. Always have to wait a long time before even loading a trolley up and pay. They close the lanes when their is still people lining up and don't reopen any others when there is 4 trolley plus in each lane open.
Could not purchase a cold food bag with zipper none in stock. Should be ample available now we need to bring bags. No trolley wipes available. No self service open. Shelves empty on specific special items. Time to change to a supermarket who cares.
One of the staff members at Frankston is always so friendly, helpful and smiling. Her name is Lisa and when she's on the checkout I always go through her register because I know that I will always get excellent service from her. Well done Lisa!!!
Went to shop just after 8.00 am on a Sunday morning. Couldn't access Bayside S.C.through main doors. Had to walk through underground Carpark to reach Coles. Self service checkout was closed off. Had to go through a manned one. Was not impressed.
I sometimes comes here in this store. It is very big compare to karingal Coles. You can get always fresh of all meat and dairy products from the Daly in this store. Super busy, also Liquorland is besides this store. Staff always helpful. 10/10
Yesterday I was assisted by the most amazing staff member in Coles Bayside. His name was Armadas and he went out of his way to help me to get the Chocolate Ferrero squirrels I was looking for. Not only did he stop what he was doing and took
Didn't go there today but have been there shopping plenty of times always a good coles easy to access in Frankston one of the better laid out coles stores.Staff have always been good there and friendly. Good supermarket in a really nicely
Good selection of groceries at most hours. Need more staff on the check outs for those who do their weekly shop late after work. It is absurd to leave customers with no choice but to go through self serve with a large amount of groceries.
Except for one security guard that constantly harassed me and I'm not even a thief. I think he's been told as I haven't seen him around which is good I'm not the only person I've Seen him giving a hard time, just a powertripper.
I am buying gift card, they refuse my transaction. What’s the point. I never scam in my life you believe I am scam just in simple transaction. I don’t understand. I have been shopping with you for ages. Now never come back.
Beyond useless ,their standard is 1 express checkout which has a line up of 2-4 trollies ,self serve just shots itself so you have to wait 5 mins for a employee to fix it, I know it's Frankston but the bars not that low.
Just wanna to say thank you to Lisa (a short hair lady with glasses) at the checkout & customer desk. Super friendly and patient. She helped me out on two different occasions. Great & consistent customer service!
Small but very local supermarket that doesn't have all the stock their shopping centre counterparts have but it is a stand alone place that more than adequately services the local community. We all love it
Prices are pretty fair and really big supermarket in my opinion but I really wish people would smile and say gday. If you want to work with people around you leave your problems at home where they belong.
It is a pleasure to shop in Coles. The store always looks clean and staff packing shelves are always considerate of customers. The staff are all very happy to help and assist whenever it is needed.
Nicely laid out store but can the workers ease up on pushing charity donations at the checkout? I had to say no in 3 different ways for the staff member to back off with the charity shaming.
Pleasant staff all round... helped me find things and checkout lady sorted my purchases into the two bags I provided. Frozen in one and bakery items in the other. Prices competitive!!!
Great range of Bogans on display. Some of Frankston's finest. Lots of skin and tats to see and maybe even the rarer ice addict too if you are lucky or unlucky. Weirdos galore! Wow!
Staff was really rude don’t like to help customers find things. Like whatever I ask one of their staff member said I don’t know. Need to work on customer service …
Coles Frankston is huge and has everything you expect Coles to have. Plus its in a very handy location for a quick shop. My only complaint is they had no polish sausage :(
Nice big store with great quality meat, fruit and veggies. Friendly staff and appreciate the specials. In this shop I find whatever I need and best quality! Thanks Coles!
Good selection of fruit & veg. The shelves for most of the other dry goods was very low or empty. Self ceck out was a large queue with no one one on assited checkout.
Lack of customer service and checkouts open. Never fun with a 1 year old made harder by longer times in the queue. Good selection of products and reasonable prices.
Visited the store last week. Was greeted by Chloe at the deli! Kind and welcoming, assisted me in finding the perfect ham and i was not disappointed, thanks Chloe!
It's Coles. It's all much the same. Great staff for the most part though, and they don't look down on you if you have to pay with coins come the end of pay cycle.
Just had a couple of things to pick up on the way to a family visit and morning tea. Good rang to choose from. Easy in and out. Service was good and friendly.
Friendly helpful staff, clean store and not crowded like most supermarkets which is awesome cos I like to get in and grab what I need and get out ☺️ …
Robina cordial always ❤️️ special if kids drink ribena i can 55 years old baeutfull X …
A bustling local centre . Always friendly staff and good produce. Seafood and most household groceries .love the price hold marketing …
I like the customer service at checkout but value for money Aldi gives you more. I think Cole's would be better 24/7 hours my local shop.
I am saving so much time by checking google business busy times it's great. Enjoy you shopping.
Good location within the shopping centre. Reasonably well stocked shelves. Friendly staff.
Its Frankston never day not a junkie threatening people its worst most depressing place
Coles is Coles always grateful but often a little bit more expensive than most. …
Parking is great. Staff are helpful and friendly. Store is usually stocked well.
Great range of products. These guys have like 20 brands of milk for some reason.
One star for the security who like to be on their phones and not their jobs
I was served quickly. The lady who served me was very polite and helpful
Staff generally helpful sometimes bit expensive but can get bargains too
It's a standard supermarket with all the usual groceries. Good range
I miss Jeninne from the store. If I'm aqua man she my meera.
Awful and lack of customer service skills is required …
Got all we were after, and there were some decent specials.
Decent sized store, plenty of stock and friendly staff.
Only one staffed checkout; store full of people.
Could be more friendly towards customers
Excellent place for grocery shopping
