Hi , I am writing to you, to place a formal complaint about an incident that took place in Coles, Kew, Victoria 3101. I am a part time uber driver while working a full time job. I happened to get a delivery from Coles, Kew on Sunday 16th April at 7:40 pm . I was supposed to find few things from the store for the customer and deliver it . In the hunt for those things I was unable to find one item , hence I very politely asked a staff Shami to point me to the right section. To my surprise , I see a guy walking towards me who called himself the duty manager - Andrew for that day, shouting and being extremely disrespectful . He kept calling me "you uber drivers always create nuisance and harass my staff". This was extremely humiliating and on many levels marginalising as well stereotyping uber drivers. All I was asking was to be pointed to the right direction , the staff was happy to help me . I don’t understand the necessity for the manager to say that "these staff members are not here to help you uber drivers" . This completely changes the narrative for customer service at such an organisation, where we go for our day to day shopping. This doesn’t stop here, he humiliated me even further by telling me to leave the store . This is not only a racist behaviour but also disrespectful towards the delivery community as we are also serving the community just like "Coles" claims to do. I want this to be actioned or else i am going to go report this unprofessional behaviour to the appropriate agencies. Racism and marginalisation will not be tolerated at all .
No one knows where is what and another customer showed me the items. All of the team members know nothing of where the items are. Also, collected items for doordash and they don’t give a bad for free. I am only a driver, it is between Coles and doordash they can call the support team so doordash pays for the bags. I was talking to this lady for 15 minutes just to explain that I have to have a bag to give these item to the customer but they did not even understand me and they were saying that I had to pay myself. I only have the money that doordash gives me and I can’t pay out of my pocket. Not respectful not responsible. Weak customer service and weak support. I would never accept order from this coles ever again.
I was in Coles kew for approx 3/4 hour to pick up a few things. I noticed on entering the store that it was extremely cold. I was wearing a heavy jumper, scarf and Katmandu jacket. After 20 mins or so the Raynaud's set in to my hands and feet. By the time I reached checkout my fingers and toes were in extreme pain, I had lost most of the circulation in my hands and had three broken blood vessels in my fingers. I showed them to the little check out lass who was lovely and very efficient. I do suffer in supermarkets but nothing like this. Unfortunately I won't be shopping in this store again. Back to Woolworths Kew for me I'm afraid.
Good layout store, looks like it is the new format store. Produce selection is good, displays are good are good as well. To maintain freshness since of the products are kept on top of ice. Flower selection is good. Frozen veggies are displayed in the coffin layout model, which is very good. The only negative which i saw was, there is not much bakery products like flat bread, pane di casa, cookies etc displayed on a Sat evening. The bakery team needs to do be a bit more planning on this. Overall good store and I'll definitely shop here again and again.
If you are happy to shop with a bunch of non mask wearing construction workers, then by all means shop here. I’m certain they don’t check in either. I’m really happy for them to do whatever they like on their own construction site , but when this bunch of self entitled ignoramuses start to effect the rest of us then I get angry. Apparently Coles staff are unable to police this. Coles Kew is definitely a no - go zone as far as I’m concerned, at least until the construction has finished next door.
Really hit and miss stock. I regularly find myself at Coles Kew, asking where a particular item is, only to find out that the item currently isn't stocked. Most modern day staples are lacking, and the store layout is generally confusing and atypical of most supermarkets. The staff are generally great - the young gentleman at the self checkouts is always a delight to speak with. The car park awkwardly requires patrons to walk back through the store after completing their purchase.
Huge store ... variety of products.... enough space to move with trolleys....I would just recommend the staff to use deodorant or perfumes because I have experienced it 3 times when I passed one of the grocery guy he was smelling really bad and one of the girl in the service was stinking like hell....sorry for such review but it's important too...I am sure u won't like or won't be comfortable to serve customer who is stinky..
Last Wednesday my elderly grandma and I are having a seat in the back of the store (she has arthritis) and we are yelled at to move, I was very offended and as I was walking out a staff member (middle aged) muttered 'good riddance' as we walked out. To make matters worse, a group of teenage hooligans were blocking the exit and putting shampoo in each others hair. Terrible experience, I will never return.
This store is enormous, practically the biggest Coles store I've ever used. There is nothing I've ever needed that's not stocked. Staff are generally quite helpful and most are pleasant and I do like how the store always very clean tidy, that's very important to me. However I find the item pricing is almost identical to Safeway's, anyone would think they are colluding ,wink wink ;)
I don't usually shop at this Coles but it is hard to deny that this Coles has a huge footprint and a huge choice. Unlike many of the other supermarkets out this way - this Coles definitely has a huge choice. It also has enough space to cater for a large amount of shoppers without feeling overcrowded. The parking situation is extremely good as well.
Looks better than when it opened - less harshly lit and a better organised. Fairly limited range and (today) lots of lines OOS or very low by mid afternoon. Carpark is very usable cf. competition. Great view of the Kew Wreck Centre! Hard to use aisles when a lot of restocking is happening. Quiet during the week outside school hours/holidays.
I ( eventually) located almost everything I needed, but I still find the store layout a bit confusing, and prices are average for Coles/Woolies. It’s a bit closer to home than Victoria Gardens but I prefer that store because there is a Toscano’s and Fish Pier in the same Centre for a one stop fast masked shop.
Worst customer service I have ever witnessed at any Coles! Went to checkout a few items with my mother, when we went to pay with cash the staff member just threw the change at us, and threw the receipt to another side. Horrible interaction and made me feel horrible. Will definitely never shop here again!
Love this Coles. Very clean and high ceiling makes it more spacious feel and less crowded. The underground free carparking is great for summer or rainy days. And the travelator means you can push the trolley to the carparking without having to wait for a lift- which is great especially for covid safty.
Mediocre service. The manager was great when I enquired about something, she came and assisted me herself. But when I came to the girl at 12 items or less, she didn't greet me, didn't smile or take out receipt and put in my bag. Very distracted, no interaction whatsoever , very disappointing. …
Stands right beside you and breath down your ears when your card is declined. Clearly I was pulling all stops to take another card that works as I accidentally used my expired card, but the staff still wants to stare at me and my fat fingers. Had to print out a receipt as I don’t feel safe.
A new Coles similar to a Coles Local, it has a big range of products that you may not find at other stores. The ready-to-go meal section was quite empty when I went perhaps due to COVID and the ongoing demolition of Kew Rec next door. Parking is undercover free for the first 2 hours.
It's a good Coles. Not much to add. Clean and fully stocked. Don't know how you are meant to rate a Coles but overall good/normal experience. Would only give 5/5 if it had some crazy feature like a water fountain or somthing. Or a great deal. All the deals that day were so-so.
It's Ok. Not a full sized supermarket so you don't find everything you'd expect but useful to pickup main supplies. I have to say that the fruit and veg quality is medium to poormost of the time and we tend to go to other shops for better quality fruit and veg.
Bought this wrap today and this was 10 days expired. Why is that even there , where is the customer policy and also one of coles executives said that it’s not their fault, it is the fault of them who gave them bread. Seriously guys, such a ridiculous answer
Good layout, very clean, staffs are very friendly and polite, display are good, comprehensive range of product. Easy parking with two underground levels with escalator access. This store takes Coles to the next level! Love shopping here since they're open.
Brand new store in Kew was about time, In brand new building looks very impressive, with lots of parking two underground car park big lift to take shopping in your car good job coles. Very high standards and quality!!!! Worth visiting. …
This is a new Coles supermarket in Kew that's large, well designed, and stocked with a comprehensive range of products. Easy access parking in 2 underground levels accessible by lift or internal staircase. Staff are polite and friendly.
The store is clean and well stocked, with a great bakery and deli. The only drawback is that it has a small meat department. I have to go elsewhere for meat variety.. Underground parking is free for the first couple of hours.
Beautiful big centre. Ample spacious car parking. I much prefer visiting here than the Woolies up the road for the parking alone. I also appreciate all of the vegan options Coles is implementing, good job. Highly recommend.
Best Coles I've been to so far. I rate it so highly due to the exceptionally friendly staff. Furthermore, great specials on ah... Cherry Ripes and other things that keep us 'sane' - whatever that means nowadays lol!
Good convenient location with plenty of parking (timed but free for quick visit) . Newly opened and looks very modern. Good range of groceries available and many self checkouts so never had to wait too long.
This is a new Coles Supermarket with lots of choices for all kind of products including produce, grocery, dairy, frozen and meat. It provides an excellent customer service and has an underground parking too.
Brand new and modern Colea. Very sterile and, for some reason, lacks the character some of the other new stores have. Parking underneath is shared - be wary of parking in the right part.
Staff were incredibly rude and aggressive. Barely any diversity among hiring. Little to no variety in southeast Asian products but at minimum 50 different types of each pasta and bread.
The store is new and nice but the carpark exit has been poorly made. It's too high from the ground so it makes the rear car bumper hit the ground and scratch as you exit
A brand new Coles in the area. Love the bakery and fresh baked bread tthey offer. Also they have a variety of fresh sandwiches which perfect for kids school lunch box
A great one-stop shop! Staff is very friendly and helpful! I found everything I needed and even some new products that I fell in love with during my stay in Kew.
Good having a Coles in Kew. The parking underneath is better than nothing but not great. The interior is nice and new so that is good. A little out of the way.
Free parking underneath. Good coles, with a wide range of products. Love the doggy pick and mix, as well as the sweets pick and mix! Hard to find these days.
Greate place to buy your groceries. the dehydrated mash potatoe is my favorite. See it down below, my kids hate it but i think it hits the spot just right!
Fantastic shopping experience. Store is well stocked, clean and tidy. Staff are friendly and helpful. I think this is one of the best Coles in Melbourne.
I love this Coles. The one closest to my place and wonderful service. All the staffs are very friendly and welcoming and always eager to help!
Great location, easy underground parking. The space is well spread out, good bakery and deli section. Lots of Friendly staff.
Just a supermarket undercover parking staff are friendly and helpful. Beautifully clean with nice wide aisles.
Oddly, unlike other Coles, they don't refrigerate their eggs. All I wanted was eggs so I left empty handed.
A very clean and well organised store with plenty of produce. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
Yup, it's another Coles.. hadn't been here before, can't say it made any big impressions either way..!
The best Coles supermarket. Clean. Bright. Friendly staff. Produce and product well maintained.
How come this coles is so much nicer Than the pig troff coles I shop at in Bayswater.
Nice and clean place to shop. Car park is good. I like to go shopping there.
Spacious and modern facilities Great meats
Huge supermarket with many things inside!
I didn't go there
