Stores been going down hill for a long time. Tripping hazards everywhere, horrible looking product facing, and uncaring staff. A few points of the issues I run into 9/10 times I visit this store. - Every time I come in, I find myself fixing their tickets or moving products as if I work there, as products are constantly placed in the completely wrong place. - Empty boxes, full boxes, and products on the ground constantly. Partner almost slipped a while back on some stray cardboard. Staff don't seem to care. - Constantly seeing the 'security guard' leaning on a wall talking to the self checkout lady, who is also usually leaning and doing sweet nothing showing zero care factor and has ignored me a few times when trying to ask a question. Even had to tell the non regular security guard of two customers who stole from the cosmetic isle as he was not paying any attention. Constantly seeing theft here that is easy to spot, but constantly let through without the blink of an eye. Store needs a some new staff. The only staff I've seen do anything is the young lady with glasses who has worked there for a long time it seems.

A smaller store, produce here is not so great. I had an interesting experience here. I had a trolley load of goods and all I could see were self serves open. Looking around for a checkout a team member directs me to a closed register, i approached the checkout expecting the usual snap back of "im closed!!" which sure enough was the response I got. I politely explained to the cashier i was directed here by your supervisor to which begrudgingly she moaned "ohhhh ok" and continued serving her customer. Once she finished with her customer she promptly signed out of her register and walked off. Perplexed I looked at another customer behind me thinking what's happening here and we waited about 3 mins until someone acknowledged we were waiting and were finally served. Hooray. Coles service at it's finest! Yes, prices are down but is so the service by the looks of it too. On a side note, if you leave a trolley unattended here expect to turn around and find it's rolled away making you chase after it to avoid smashing into a fellow shopper. Makes for an entertaining shop :)

Ange who works on registers. There is literally not one item that she didn’t throw into my bags. Threw fruit and veg. Put bread with heavy items. Her attitude was terrible and she shouldn’t be working on checkout if she isn’t going to take care of the food she’s packaging. I’m paying for product at your store and you’re literally treating my items like garbage. Not okay. Also everytime I come here the staff are always talking to each other instead of helping people. I once waited five minutes in self checkout while a lady and girl had a conversation and I had to wait because I couldn’t proceed with checking out my items because there was a weight issue. Terrible customer service. I come here because it’s close but I’d rather drive fifteen minutes to another coles.

Staff are great with me so this is not an issue with them! Someone had gone through the bread and touched all the loaves inside the bag on the shelves and this obviously had put me off buying bread from any supermarket ever! I had to get staff and management involved because I was so revolted by the situation. The shelves are mostly bare and there’s isn’t a large variety of products. I don’t want to have to travel to Epping to buy my favourite blueberry yoghurt. Homeless people and junkies camp outside the store begging every passer-by for money. I feel so unsafe and disgusted to witness this!

Extremely Rude customer service, went there today to get some cash out as i was new to the area wasn't sure if there were any ATM's around. As the cashier was serving me one of his team members yelled out to him "don't give cash out, people think we are a bank or something" I am not sure if that was the manager or a colleague of his but maybe start of with teaching staff "basic manners" and how to talk to people if they expect customers to be nice to staff. I would love to see her reaction if someone does that to her and i hope someone does coz she deserves it!!

Item ranges are limited but you will find most of what you need in groceries. Trolleys are the real challenge. The store manager does not understand business. If you don't have $1 or $2 coins in purse then you won't be able to take a trolley and shop enough number of items. Now, most the people pays with cards and they won't have coins in their purse. I usually prefer Woolworth on the other side of the railway track when I have to do monthly shopping as they provide free trolleys.

I love Coles but this branch is cramped for space, I don't know why the trolleys are locked and we have to put coins in order to use them. I can understand that customers might take it far away or someone might steal it but not everyone has spare coins with them. This is one of the reasons why I have started shopping elsewhere otherwise I have been shopping in Coles for 10 years now. They hardly have red tipped bananas in stock and less items compared to other branch locations

I placed an uber order today. 3 items were missing from that list! Who ever packed the groceries made absolutely no effort to look for the type of cheese or bread that I had ordered. Simply gave me whatever they could grab. Tried calling the store no one is answering even though the store is open till 10pm! Uber Eats better refund those items!!! I will certainly not be ordering from there again.I will also be lodging a formal complaint to Coles via your corporate website.

Lack of customer service is way of life at this store. I hardly recall good experience at this store in my two years of living around the area. Deli section staff has always been good though. Best to use a self check out. Keep human interactions to minimum to avoid inhuman service. I absolutely agree with another review by Brent regarding security and young girl at the checkout always busy chatting don't even pay attention to customer requests, absolutely unprofessional

  • Steve S

Poor customer service , would give negative five stars if i could ! My partner bought fish that was off, when she took it back a staff member that Was as rude as, said there's nothing wrong with it, " lets just say it smelt Pretty gross with out being rude" well getting a refund as a dissatisfied customer Is very difficult. Never shop here again ! Hope coles management read this and Train there staff how to treat valuable customers. Well i certainly won't come Back !!

Dealt with Murwa tonight, she made an honest mistake in her scanning and spent 10 minutes with me ensuring she had not overcharged me. She was so sincere in her calculations and wanted to make sure she did everything right by me. She even let me know her future shift times if I needed anything. Always great service at this Coles special shout out to Murwa and Lauren great customer service 100% of the time.

Encountered with a very rude staff today around 8pm. This is the Coles store I always go. Usually I never ask for any help. Today needed information with a hair product. Approached a female staff who was already there in that section. Got a kind of sharp reply that "I don't use this product, so don't know anything about it". Was shocked if this is how coles training staff to behave to the customers.

In May road is competitively priced as Woolies over the road and 5 green grocers in the neighbourhood. Choose wisely time to visit. Busy street with strip shopping Library and school cafe's and Asian grocery shops so avoid school pick up times. Parking can get congested and spots hard to find unless you happy to walk. Maybe 1 disabled car park next to the Post Office

  • Angelina Cozzo

This place is terrible! My daughter is 2 years old and toilet training and they refused her to use the toilet. The poor little thing had to hold it and pee outside as she couldn't hold it! You should all be ashamed of yourself! She is just a child! Terrible and rude service and always empty shelves! Terrible coles and will never shop here again! Disgusting!

Most staff are welcoming and friendly - above most other chain stores, the team members are attentive and helpful staff. Not a super large store but it stocks most things on a general shopping list. Wonderful location with a variety of other local fruit markets, bakeries and butchers just a few steps away. Great work to all staff @ Coles Lalor!

  • Sara Clarke

The staff are lovely but the building old and worn out. We don't get all the fancy stuff but we have lots of other shops in the vicinity so it would likely be a waste or strip killer if they did offer all the range of the larger stores with in house bakery etc. I wish they'd ban smoking in their doorways/entrance ramp.

  • Steph Triulcio

The staff here are no where to be seen. Walked around for 10 minutes trying to get some help so I just walked out. When you do see them, they’re huddled together blabbering on about random things but when you need them they’re no where to be seen. Nonetheless, it’s in a convenient.

  • Bukre Kocmar

I only go here because it's very close to my house and convenient but parking is horrible. The shelves are always empty? Missing lots of products, not very big. Last time I went, there was no unsalted butter. Very strange but overall convenient for me. Staff are friendly.

  • Penguin Potatmoe

Like all supermarkets it is open until late, however i believe that there are better supermarkets out there. The shop is fine but sometimes the staff are rude and they used to look at me funny when i went shopping alone when i was younger. It made me feel uncomfortable.

  • Connie Dinu

Convenient location & Friendly customer service. New renovations are happily welcomed, makes store look more fresh, store was looking little tired. This coles doesn't have Its own bakery (like the newest coles) it would be great if it factored it in, in the near future.

  • Deepika Gupta

We used to shop here for a while in the past year. Fruits and vegetables section is very good. A variety of different canned food is available. The staff members are cooperative and helpful. Parking area is spacious and convenient. Sometimes deals are really best.

  • Stelios Anastasiou

It's a good store although, it's a little run down and needs an uplift. It has been many years since I visited this Coles and whilst it's a well located store it feels tired and showing its age. Has all the essentials items and plenty of parking.

  • Viet Luan Le

Yeah, it was as good as any other Coles supermarket, I notice they don't have a large range of items compared to my local Coles, around Mitcham and Forrest Hill. But overall, they do have your basic items that you normally see.

  • Michael HR PufnStuf

Can someone pick up the phone at Coles Lalor. Doesn't anyone pick up a phone nowadays. A trolley has been left at 13 Partridge street. Come and pick it up please. This might be a quicker way to get through to you this way.

  • Alex Grigoletti

  • Luke Spiller

Staff is very friendly! Good store, nice with the refurnishes. unfortunately some of the other customers are disgusting with how they treat the staff, feel sorry for the abuse they put up with

  • Ray Woods

Starting to stock shelves, and meat section much better than they use to. Prices jumping up on average of 10-15% on a wide variety of goods from Ice-cream to cakes and meats.

  • Eugenia Eugenia

  • Silvi

I dont usually shop here, however was in the area. Busy store, tidy for the most part. Self service staff friendly and consistently wiped down kiosks. great to see.

  • Kenny Oldenskov

Good local Coles. Well stocked selections of both local and international foods, engaged staff, clean but not new, decent vegetarian/vegan selections …

  • R A

Good place to visit. Had got a good space and got some deals once in a while. I enjoy visiting here for daily needs and the stock of the items is well managed.

  • Alexander Pahos

Trolley man named Stanley was extremely helpful, he walked my 80 year old grandmother to my car and took the groceries with him, very helpful fella. Thanks.

  • nindara edwards

A smaller building, often not as well stocked. Somewhat hidden from view behind the railway Line, also not the best selection of car parking

  • jill abolail

I like this store. It’s in a good place with easy access. Never had an issue with any fresh food. Staff are pleasant and helpful.

  • Sem Key

Don't bother shopping here, the staff are rude and condescending, the shelves are usually empty, and the choices are miniscule.

  • Bosko Markoski

The staff are very helpful & can find what you need very easily. I have been shopping in that store for many years now. …
