Have been shopping here for the last 5 years and never an issue until this morning (16/7/20). As a doctor and essential worker during these times, I'd just finished a long night shift and wanted to get some basics before home time. I did not expect to leave so disappointed and angry just from doing my standard groceries by the rude customer service..... The middle aged self checkout lady was extremely rude every step of the way; from the moment I tried to get a checkout slot she was highly obstructive and poor mannered. When the assistance sign came up after weighing an item, she begrudgingly came over and told me sarcastically that items need to be centred and not placed off the weighing platform (in a tone as if lecturing a child) - I don't think anyone ever places items off centre on purpose. I'm pretty sure sensor misregistration happens quite frequently and mine isn't an isolated incidence. Then when finishing the purchase, I placed my shopping basket under the counter which is what many do out of courtesy of clearing the space, she trudges over and says that people will trip over it and it dirties the basket - how does one trip over a basket placed under the counter in a position they are designed for? I can understand the point of dirtying the basket and it might be current protocol to not place under the counter, but the way it was conveyed was extremely belittling and unnecessarily rude. In times like these, I really wish people could be nice to each other. I don't think I'll be entering the store any time I see this lady at the checkout....

I am not Marie Lebnan, no idea why Google would choose this name but can’t seem to be able to edit it Anyway I was disturbed today by the manager of Warringal Coles trying to deceive clients and passing a lie onto a staff member to pass on to me when I pointed out that the Vitasoy Chocolate Milk drinks are supposed to be on sale since yesterday until Sunday, but no discount signs were on the shelf and items scanned at normal price. I suggested that the store rectify this as Coles should not deceive people. The compliant staff member gave me the discount after I showed her my email but when she passed on my message to the manager the message back from said manager was that the discount was only for online purchases but they would give it to me “at online price” anyway (as if doing me a favour, ha!). I therefore showed the nice staff member the email again which states online or in store. I think the poor girl was too shy or embarrassed to return to the manager but now knows that her manager is either a liar or incompetent. I tried call the store to discuss my concerns with the manager in private but no one answered and after 15 mins of ringing I gave up. Poor form for a manager to lie to cover up an error or intentional deception of customers. Not a good role model for her staff. Cokes should be more selective with who they promote or employ in leadership and should provide better training to floor staff. All the really great staff who had worked at Warringal for years have gone and now Woolies a block away is looking good!

Warringal Coles has always been a great place to shop. Tonight in particular they were extremely supportive with the disabled child I care for whilst he was having a moment/tantrum. They offered assistance and turned what is usually stressful, into a pleasant and welcoming experience. Facilitating people with disabilities to enter into the community and even shop at a grocery store can be a difficult although this Coles made it effortless. We have found this to be the best store in the surrounding area for accepting and supporting disabled individuals. In particular I would love to recognise a staff member in particular who was working self serve at 8:45pm tonight, her name was Francis and she was a great help in making the experience as easy as possible! Definitely coming back to this Coles again!

-The deli section is understaffed....always no one there to serve...and they can't slice anything after 7....and can't sell you any deli product after 8...??... -Always got staff members around with massive trolleys stacking the shelves...yet on the same time blocking the aisles... -The retail manager there has got no idea what he/she is doing....stuff that would expire the day after are offered for sale with a 50 cents to a dollar cheaper than the original price...today I've seen some chicken strips that was best before today's date...and the price reduction was $1.30....are you kidding...?? I've been living in Rosanna for a year....and I always liked shopping at Coles...but seriously this store needs more attention...

Very average supermarket with shocking fruit and vegetables. They have a good range of non-perishables which is why I am rating it 2 stars, however the quality of their fresh produce is consistently poor. On my most recent visit I specifically went to buy broccolini which was an advertised line in their catalogue. It was 9am on a Saturday morning and they had about 8 units left which were small and emaciated and weren't fresh. I then went into Aldi which had much higher quality broccolini for less. The fruit and vegetables always have out of stocks (particularly if shopping at night). The quality is poor, and prices are very mixed but generally on the higher side. Not recommended.

This Coles has the worst quality fruit and vegetables. I tend to avoid Coles because I've had so many bad experiences. But on the weekend I gave them another chance. I bought a rockmelon and grapes. The rockmelon looked good on the outside but was disgusting on the inside (unripe but at the same time almost rotting). I had to throw it straight in the compost bin. I bought several rockmelons from Leo's and Aldi in previous weeks which were all fantastic. I also bought grapes which tasted like they had been frozen. They were the worst quality grapes I've bought this year. The quality at Aldi and Leo's in light years ahead of this Coles. Not recommended.

It's a standard, run-of-the-mill Coles which seems pretty modern in design, yet it is positioned at the most extreme end of inconvenience in that mall... and it closes at 10pm like this is 1995. Why bother? Also, the shelf layout seems goofy for some reason (usb cords with chocolate bars, the frozen food isn't in the order most other stores have, eg they go from chocolate bavarian to frozen onion rings etc.). An otherwise perfect store, but I'm here to be a nitpicker.

Today I have bought lots of groceries from Coles at Warrigal, when I went back home to unload the goods, I realized one pack of the lollies jar has already been opened. Therefore, I brought it back to Coles to ask for the store manager to report the issue. The two staff in the customer service are very rude and said, "What do you want? You want the money back or swap over" They spoke so unfriendly and rude. I will give 0 to their attitude.

Inside the small Warringal Mall Shopping Centre. Coles is the major store here along with TMAX and ALDI. Butcher, Deli, chemist, newsagent, hair and beauty a photo lab and various other shops and services. Underground parking just under the centre access via moving ramps or a lift. Outside but nearby on Burgundy Street are a wide range of shops, Cafes, restaurants, Post Office etc etc. Handy and friendly place for a quick shop.

  • John

Receive Flybuys offers of specials by email. Getting sick of going to this store to find that there is no stock and only minimal shelf space for the items they put on special via email. If you send out offers you need to have sufficient stock so this is not a recurring issue. Feel like they are just seducing customers to get them into their stores and then are unable/not willing to honour their offer.

Smaller variety than the larger Coles (Ivanhoe is only a cpl kms away, much larger store!) For some reason, we've noticed the security guard following my son and I around of late.... I've tried to approach him and ask if there's an issue- he ignores me and walks away. I'm not a thief. I'm a struggling single mum who takes her time looking for quality at bargain prices.

  • Resident Ape

I was accused of stealing at this store and deemed a security risk OVER THE LOUD SPEAKER...when i complained in writing i got no response. Staff are generally incapable of holding back suspicious looks when asking to look in your bag. This is bad training, from badly trained management. Complaints are good for a good business!

  • Mendo Vasilevski

Great store. Very friendly staff in deli and at checkout. Witnessed a thief run out and security were too busy tell kids they can’t have their scooters parked inside and need to leave them outside. Dry meat store and consistent item locations. I have even had a laugh with the staff. Just gotta give the right jives people.

  • Moxxii “Faye”

It's fairly big and it's selection is par for the course of a medium sized Coles centre. Nothing particularly stands out, but there's nothing inherently wrong with it either. Worth going to if you're local or just happen to be in the area. It's a good supplement to what is lacking in the nearby ALDI as well.

  • Zoe

Disappointed with the new layout - gluten free options have been spread across the store. I'm assuming this is to let us people with coeliac disease have the option to see all the other products we can't eat or won't be purchasing. Poor customer experience, will be happily shopping at Woolworths.

  • Shan Samara

Friendly and helpful staff makes you feel welcome, even when you're inquiring about items that are difficult to locate. Awesome range of items, regularly putting lots of popular items on discounts. Well staffed, so never a problem finding someone to help got with your concern. Thanks Coles.

  • LamBat BBQ

Stay away at all costs, terrible customer service, especially from Deli staff (Vicky) and worse yet, got yelled at by the manager (Loren) and asked to leave the store for attempting to clarify staff behaviour! No customer service whatsoever! Appallng behaviour that Coles needs to deal with.

  • Bhagesh Chauhan

Coles is always a good place to get all you need. Live the supermarket but yeah if you looking for some extra cheap stuff you might have to visit some other place as Coles doesn’t compromise with their quality. This store is big enough and you can find everything whatever you looking for.

  • Andrew Ford

I like this Coles at Warringal Plaza. The large underground car park is busy but great for hot days or rain so you can be protected. It has a good layout and free trolleys, nothing worse than having to find a $1 coin. Plus there are specialty stores all around if you want something else.

  • D Bstorm

Friendly staff but a tired looking store the range is very ordinary they will lose alot of customers when the new Woolworths re opens around the corner , and lastly considering liquorland is a big buying group they are too expensive compared to all the other places around the area

  • R K

Click and Collect Order number 151042866 -poor service -items worth $88 were missing and we were invoiced for it :) -online support were helpful and credited our account, but it was a huge inconvenience to go back to the store to shop for all the missing items i needed for dinner

  • Ann chen

Food is ok. But very rude staff. The old lady is racist and very very rude , opened out bags to check while we were still scanning our staffs. And keeps asking show many times that we been scanned. Feel very un-respected to shopping at this Coles. Will never ever come back again!

  • Louise

Usually a good store. But when I rang to inform them that our household got food poisoning from a deli item, they were very quick to try and blame it on something else, it was the only thing we all had in common and got very sick soon after. Very very poor response …

  • Nic

Very clean coles. When arriving at the shopping centre, it was easy to find the coles. Directions and the display of coles was good. The selection of flowers and fresh produce was really nice. The staff were attentive and very friendly. Highly recommend this coles.

  • Jim Lamb

Decent sized Coles with wide selection and helpful staff. Deli is very decent with fresh seafood which is convenient. Like all Coles stores the baked bread is the best out of all the big supermarkets and the Laurent sourdough varieties are simply wonderful.

  • Griffith CAGE

Where should I start well short and brief I have attached a photo Coles have a look your staff has no empathy no sympathy no manners they didn’t even packed up grocery. busy chatting no attention to customer we are paying so much we don’t get any service.

  • DHAVAL PATEL

Worst coles ever visited at night kids r smoking cigarettes inside the store and stealing stuff in front of the staff and manager they looking Them but not doing anything about it . Whole store smell like cigarettes area . Never ever go there anymore .

  • Rosie Shepherd

What is the point of self serve when I have to get a staff member to serve me because the price is wrong or there is AN UNIDENTIFIED ITEM IN THE BAGGING AREA?? At least the the staff that assist the self checkouts are patient and try their best.

  • Michael Bouy

Large store with an excellent product range. Located inside Warringal shopping centre, so there is plenty of undercover parking. Their fruit and vegetables are cheaper than at Aldi and better quality than the neighbouring fruit & veg shop.

  • Ian

One of the few coles supermarkets that carry the APC magazine. I am very disappointed that the stores closer to my home do not Also, the out of stocks xertai ly appeared to be far fewer than either uni hill and Plenty Valley have.

  • Norm Stone

Better than many other Coles. Well laid out but as usual beware the fruit and vegetables. Gigantic differences in price per kgs with bulk and pre packaged items also a lot of limp stale stuff disguised by being kept wet

  • Ianto Twomey

Worst Coles in Australia. They close the self checkout 2 hours before the store actually closes so if you walk in at 8.01 to buy a packet of tic tacs you’ll most likely have to wait 20 minutes to be served.

  • Delia D’Elia

I want to thank young Sienna who works at the self-checkout! She is always friendly, with bright smile and she can have many customers asking for assistance and she calmly helps everyone! Well-done Sienna!

  • Solarstorm flare

My fave coles. Usually good specials and today when the self checkout machine broke down the staff were really cool about it and said i could go with my paid for shopping while they fixed it up properly.

  • William Smith

It is conveniently located but has the poorest quality fruit and vegetable range compared with nearby supermarkets. Often low stock levels of the items I like but fine for most staple items.

  • William Goodieson

Freezer is absolutely well stacked and neatly layed out, spoke to the boy working freezer and stopped what he was doing to help straight away and have a chat, brilliant experience!

  • John Harding

Good big store. Well stocked shelves. Lots of varieties of products. Attentive staff. Usually busy. Good bakery section. Quick service. Good shop for quick or extended shopping.

  • Michael Pattinson

Coles is always busy and the staff are very friendly and helpful. We find everything we need at Coles and they have ready prices something much appreciated by people these days.

  • Bill M

They were out of Dilmah leaf tea. I'm not a bag lover. It wasn't urgent though nice to have a backup. Didn't have to speak to anyone, checkout robot behaved. In out quickly.

  • Lynne

Great Coles store So clean and fresh. Everything was well stocked and easy to find.. The Covid safe practice is in place and a majority of customers were wearing masks.

  • eve nep

Enough parking spaces, A BIG 'BUT'. Can you please improve network coverage at parking lot, OR just dont provide "Click and Collect". Cannot contact from there.

  • Matt White

I'm very impressed with the responsible actions of the community wearing masks and social distancing. Good range and specials at this Coles.Overall a good exp.

  • Ceel P

I don’t understand how this Coles is so sh!t considering that it is with in a reasonably wealthy area… The next closest one South in Ivanhoe is just as sh!t

  • David H

It's a good place with good value shops, especially the butcher and green grocer but I really dislike the undercover parking which is too cramped and busy.

  • Andrew Corbett

My family really miss the rustic baguette. It seems to be discontinued and Cole's has replaced it with the sourdough baguette. We are very disappointed.

  • Alannah Moon

Attractive aisles. I loved it sick (in fact all the way home). My favourite aisle is 10. If you’ve been there, you know why. Keep up the work Coles!

  • governor2202

Really poor service not staff fault corporate model all profit no service. Leaving many elderly people to stand and wait to process groceries

  • Philip

This us a clean well set out store. Wide isles and a good selection of produce including a large selection of fresh fruit and vegetables.

  • Claudine Marie

Where else can you go to find smoked salmon and a bunch of flowers reduced to a dollar?! The vegan and vegetarian options were great too!

  • Gabby Grasso

A little expensive. Some items low in stock. Usually good fruit and veggies but they looked a bit bumped around. Some good specials.

  • Laurie M

Cole is MY regular grocery shop. They send me weekly emails of the specials. Best prices. FLYBUYS. Young helpful staff.

  • Ian Roberts

Self service not open before 9am. Long checkout queues result. Not good when wanting quick supplies on way to work

  • Colin Thomas

Checkout staff are always helpful, but still can't get Coles minestrone soup, but you can at the other stores.

  • Linda Jowsey

We go here to stock up on the great duck products from the butchers shop next to Coles. Excellent service too

  • Iri Mae

Same thing everywhere Nothing new or exciting and the vegetables at all Coles stores go rotten very quickly!!

  • belrrp

Pretty alright. A young girl in self serve was very very helpful towards me and you’re able to shop calmly

  • Sharron Knights

Lovely staff, the store is freezing in every area, staff have coats on at checkouts it's that cold.

  • TCB Garage

Honestly a good Coles in a good centre. Just watch where you park. Lots of bad drivers here.

  • Melba Gingko
