Ok so I visited this Bonnirigg commenwealth branch few weeks ago as I wanted to apply for a personal overdraft. I had previously had a personal overdraft with commenwealth bank & I had already paid off my overdraft & closed my account. I haven't been working for quite some time as I have a baby & kids to look after. So I went there, a lady in front asked me my name & put me on the list & told me to sit & wait to be served. Behind me were few Asian ladies & they also put their name on the list and waited. Looks like they were in a rush to be served. I sat down there & waited for nearly 20 mins. Then a staff by the name as Hash came out & asked the other staff whose next, so the staff pointed at me. But the Asian ladies who came after me started speaking to this staff in their language which was maybe Chinese or Vietnamese. They all were looking at me strangely , don't know why? So Hash asked me to come inside. I went inside & the way she was talking to me was very rude. She asked me, so wat can I do for you today, I said I need to apply for a personal overdraft as I am financially in need of extra cash for some bills, she never asked me to provide my id or any personal information without even touching the computer . She asked me if I was working. I said not at the moment. She said, No . We can't offer u any loans at all coz commenwealth only gives loans to employed people. I told Hash I had a personal overdraft with commenwealth and I have paid off and closed it. She said, still we can't offer you anything. I said ok and I was leaving...it was a quick conversation for a minute or so. I saw Hash quickly coming out & going straight to those Asian ladies who came after me & took them inside the office. My question is who the hell is Hash to decide whether commenwealth bank will give us a loan or not. Does she own the bank? Hash is the rudest, racist person who is not worth to work in a bank like commenwealth. We are customers and we all should be treated nicely and with respect. Wish there was 0 stars, i would have rated it 0. Worst experience ever
Applied for travel card. Process was smooth and easy thankfully. BUT the design of the branch is absolutely horrible. The placement of the banker teller window is right across from the staff member's office and they speak SO LOUD! I found myself having to ask the lady on the other side of the plastic window to constantly repeat herself because I couldn't hear anything. Of the 2 offices from across the teller windows, one of them was designed to be an open space so there is no door so literally every customer queueing can literally hear your "private" conversation. The office on the other side has a door but the staff member refuses to close the door for some reason. So the conversations from both offices get absolutely loud to the point where nobody can hear the person from the other side of the plastic barrier. I had to duck my head into the small hole (through the plastic screen) just to hear whatever the lady was saying. Very frustrating. The staff members were fine though. No complaints (except maybe the lady that refuses to close the door while having the biggest laugh with her clients).
Completely agree with a previous review from an individual not happy with the current branch manager. Although I wasn’t served by him on 3/6/22, I witnessed him getting verbally aggressive to a petite Asian lady after she expressed dissatisfaction over some unknown charges from the bank itself. I felt more uncomfortable over the manager’s inexcusable behaviour at that point than the subtle & minor comment from the customer. Poor woman didn’t need to be publicly humiliated and spoken to as if she were a toddler.

My experience with my home lender, Kylie Bradley, has been amazing. Kylie is very professional, always available to answer questions and explains things clearly. She listens to what we need and goes above and beyond to meet those needs. She makes the whole process feel simple and not overwhelming. My partner and I feel we have made the right decision in choosing Kylie as our home loan lender.
I have been into this bank multiple times and each time was treated with professionalism and kindness. My appointments with Vi have been nothing but positive. Vi has been very kind, welcoming, and professional and does not conclude the appointment until everything has been settled and doubled checked! Thank you Vi for making my time at Commonwealth Bank a positive one!
Raj was so helpful. My daughters suffer from anxiety but he was very patient and reassuring when they were getting a bit flustered. It is their first time managing their own accounts/cards and I appreciated that he explained the app to them and also made them aware of what to be careful with so they don't become victims of fraud. Thanks Raj!

Went in for unclaimed funds only to be told you have to do it online. I then mentioned the letter I recieved stated for funds under 500 I had to go to a branch. I also called and was advised the same. Great to know that I am training the muppets cba staff members. Guess if anyone has questions just message me instead.
My experience this morning dealing with a scam situation was professionally addressed by management and staff. They certainly deserve the 5 stars posted. It is heartening to know the bank take care of its customers at the highest level. My utmost gratitude for their concern. Thankyou!
Not one that complains but the way the staff were treating an elderly lady was absolutely disgusting. Raj who I suspect is the bank manager needs to be less obnoxious and understand the needs of the customers walking through the door.
Very poor customer service from both Carmen and the branch manager. Avoid this branch if possible. They seem to hate their jobs and are inefficient. If you you dare ask how long it will take, they say you are welcome to leave …
I visited the branch today around 3:50pm The teller just went to service me quick and avoid any answer for my questions. I believe when CBA clients enter branches prior to 4pm need all of them to be serviced in professional matter.
Rude and no problem solving. No help and no customer services. How did they earn their jobs witj no emotional intelligence. How can you turn a customer away after they explain their situation. Racially targeting people

Amazing service. Went in to sort our a new business account and was helped by the branch manager Raj. He sorted everything out within 10 minutes. I really recommend making this your local CBA.
