Have tried on multiple occasions to apply for credit. I'm not sure that Commonwealth Bank want our business? We have tried applying online each week however before even getting to any identification checks, a problem occurs and advises to go into the bank. We have also tried own troubleshooting by using different browsers, desktops as well. Went into the branch at Blacktown on the weekend and though the staff were helpful there, they advised that they cannot accept electronic forms of ID which is fair enough but really, Commbank you need to fix the online application portal or find a way to allow electronic IDs with the new generations. They asked to book us an appointment on the spot however because we had travelled a fair bit and we were hoping to receive a card before early/ mid February, we decided to try another branch during the week. My husband went into the High Street branch and was told they were understaffed (although it didn't really seem they had any customers either!) and to go to the other local branch. Went into the other branch and they advised they're too busy and he either needed to wait over an hour or needs to book an appointment, though he has to wait for someone to call him to book an appointment which isn't promising considering the last time I left a message for a Commbank branch last week, I didn't receive a call back until yesterday. If you need appointments to be seen Commbank, allow bookings on the website! So an overall complaint about all of Commbank - your online portal, and both Penrith branches. I get the banks are busy but how about helping people working full-time roles to apply for your services. Fix your online services and fix your weekend opening hours. We are looking elsewhere.

On high street penrith cba. I arrived at 3:30 and was standing in line at enquiries. An employee named “Karen” (what are the chances) was standing there looking down at her phone until I greeted her asking her about setting up a business account. She literally replied while looking at her watch “oh, its too late for that”. They close at 4. I said “theres nothing we can do, it takes 45mins”. And just looked at me like I was stupid. Didn’t take my details or anything. Just waited for me to leave. What sort of image are you portraying when that is the face of your business. Appalling, at best. I’ll take by finances elsewhere.

I visited this branch today to obtain a Travel Money Card. I was greeted by Caress, a Customer Service Attendant and I was directed to her office to complete all the paperwork. Caress was very professional, competent, courteous and well versed in the execution of her duties. I was issued with the TMC, instructions and regulations explained to me in an easy manner. On my exit I was greeted by Karen and she enquired was there any other matter that she could be of assistance. Outstanding service Caress and Karen Regards William Good

Worst CBA branch , very rude and unhelpful staff. Went into the branch to ask for a statement for my home loan and they refused. The lady was so rude didn’t even want to know why I need the statement. If I could access the statement from netbank why would I come to your branch ?? If you don’t want to help customers, don’t be in a customer service role ! Thanks to the gentleman in CBA contact centre who answered my call and emailed me a copy of my statement. I will make a formal complaint against CBA Penrith Branch.

Lesa IS THE BEST! She is been my mortgage broker for past few years and she is on a level of her own! Seriously! She wants the best for her customers and is so switched on. Inability to understand customer needs. Borderline rude. I’ve been a customer for 33 years. I don’t want to goto St George to put money in my wife’s account. I want you to take the bsb and account number and do it. I don’t want to deposit it into my company account so it looks like revenue and then transfer it to her. Thanks tho.

So many customers with limited staff. Had to wait 1 hour to use the teller service. My 4 month old baby was very hungry and there is no parent room. Very appalling! We asked a staff if there is a parent room, she said there is no toilet not to talk of parents room. This is 21st century for crying out loud. You can do better.

Lesa is a rare gem - you cannot find another one like her! She provides a high level of services and does not oversell! She wants the best for her customers and goes out of her way to give you the help you need. I have returned back to CBA because of Lesa and she is the main reason! This branch used to be very friendly and customer-centric. Recently served by this rude staff with attitude at the front. I cannot believe how she can get away with her behavior like this as a customer greeter. I am thinking to move my entire portfolio away from CBA.
