Be aware that these people charge more than 5 times what you would pay yourself in Bunnings for identical parts, and at least double for other parts. When asked, they said their parts might be superior quality - I checked and they are identical. Their prices were for ‘delivery on site’. Given that you also pay for ‘resource time’, time to load and unload the truck, and the plumber’s travel time to your house, I can’t believe you have to pay delivery prices for parts that come along with the plumber in his truck! Delivery on site prices also meant they charged me the ‘minimum’ price for 1.5m of copper pipe, even though they used less than 20cm! After completing the job I hired the plumber for, he also quoted for another job I wanted done, and included this in the time he charged me for. They charged me more than $150 more than another quote for the same job, over $600 for a totally straightforward dishwasher tap installation under the sink. Just wanted others to know what they are up for if you choose this company.

Conrad Martens was recommended to me by 3 rental agents in different suburbs. Could not be happier with their service. Easy to contact. Jobs done very quickly, sometimes within the hour. No upselling of either plumbing fittings or other services. Very happy that Reece first tries to fix or service the fittings before replacing. If that doesn't work, we go to replacement. I really appreciate the level of explanation by Reece, who has come several times to our flats for a variety of reasons. The job was complex and involved a large leak of mains water ,and required understanding to get to a solution. This was complicated by our booked holiday in the coming days. James the plumber came and assessed, then advised a leak expert was needed to locate the leak. This proved difficult to locate exactly. James persisted and came up with a plan to isolate the leak and re-route the mains water around the likely site of the leak , that was hidden under the concrete slab of our rumpus room. This worked well. The job of re-routing the water was done efficiently and well. I could not speak more highly of the professionalism and skill and the responsiveness of Conrad Martens to the urgency of the job. I am very happy with the outcome.

Called these guys to fix a simple leaking seal on the toilet, straightaway the plumber is trying to get me to pay for a brand-new toilet which I declined. He then proceeded to lift the pan of the ground which was not required at all as part of the repair in doing so he cracked the porcelain and caused a secondary leak on the other side of the toilet. They then denied that they caused the crack I would not recommend these guys they are just like a dodgy mechanic trying to get more money out of you. Unprofessional Overpriced service I would not recommend them to anyone unless you want to be completely ripped off by another scamming tradesmen. If zero stars was an option I would’ve selected it

We recently used their service for an inspection and drain clean as we had a terrible odour coming through our laundry drain. We chose this business as it reviews well and is a small local family business. We want to support our local family business so we chose Conrad Martens Plumbing. The plumber was thorough in his inspection and knowledgable. The after care service was fantastic as we had a slight discrepancy, which was addressed immediately and resolved fairly. I would use them again if I ever needed to but will clarify the costs upfront.

I couldn't be more impressed by the service from this business. Within 30 mins of my call regarding my loss of gas I had a very pleasant man at my front gate. All the people I spoke to in the office were sympathetic and obviously trying hard to come up with a solution for me - despite how inconvenient it was going to be. I am no expert in plumbing and was therefore concerned about ensuring I got the right advice, service and price for the work required. Conrad Martens were great from the initial call to the advice over the phone to the work itself. The plumber was on time, efficient, very clean and carried out some other minor work that he didn't need to but ensured the job was done right and left in a better state than it was found. The price was fair given the high quality. I WILL use them again.

The plumber came in without a mask and did not attempt to communicate with me about any potential source of the leak he found. Afterward, the job report is simply not factual and without evidence. I expect a quality service but they have failed to find the source of the leak and refused to contact me. I've been trying to contact the plumber for a week and made at least 20 calls. They always promise a call back for me every time I call, but that has never happened.

We had a natural gas water heater blow out @ 6 am on Friday 27 / 01 / 23. We contacted our gas supplier and they arranged a service provider to contact us. Had a great experience with Conrad Martens, called late on Thursday and they were able to have someone out first thing Friday. All staff I dealt with were really helpful, and explained all my options to me (I had an issue with a waste disposal so there was options to fix, replace or remove) and they ran me through each cost and procedure. Really helpful as I know nothing about plumbing myself. Definitely a company that I trust and would use in future!

Gas hot water system was leaking. Bruce did a great job of replacing my cactus system with a more efficient unit and didn't mind all of my questions about the process. He also provided some tips for other efficiencies. The price was reasonable and it was pleasing not to need to find the money upfront. When I called the office, all staff I dealt with were all very friendly and able to answer my concerns or queries quickly.

Called Conrad outside of their operating hours to fix a leak. I was advised no need to pay out of hours charges given it was a slow leak and water cost for the leak compared to out of hours call out charge would be minimal. Very honest advice. They came in next day on time to promptly repair the leak and explained to me what needed fixing. Guys were very professional, helpful and did a quality job. Highly recommended.

Can't complain about the experience and I would if I could. I liked that they asked for photo's before attending the job to make sure that they had all the parts required and to understand what I needed done. I was lucky that they were able to book me in at short notice to address an urgent issue. The responding plumber attended in the window provided and completed the job promptly. There was quite alot to do and he basically powered through it all including getting everything up to speed for a water saving audit. A difficult toilet install, tap servicing, tap set replacements and drain servicing along with a fair amount of advice and discussion on what would work best for us. Worst experienced ever. To repaired 3 down pipes & extend gutter. Down-pipes replaced were round PVC, do not match existing rectangular metal down-pipes. Gutter should have been replaced, not patched with a shining different size gutter. I did not organize it, when I complained I was told it was "cost effective". $1500.00 likely devalued the property and has caused problems.

Our solar hot water installation had failed. The issues were diagnosed, and it became clear that a better solution was available. This was a heat pump installation. The problem was diagnosed on Thursday, the new equipment arrived on Monday, and we had hot showers by Monday evening. The installation was very tidy and the whole episode was handled very professionally.

We called Conrad Martens Plumbing when our hot water system started leaking. They were very helpful on the phone and had a friendly and knowledgeable Plumber come out the same day and replace our old unit with a new Rheem system. We were impressed with the whole service and the best part was it was all for a very reasonable price, compared with other companies.
