Visited Costco for the first time at the Docklands location. Be warned, they have their own, free for 2 hours, undercover parking. But ONLY for COSTCO members. You need a COSTCO card to enter via the boom gates. We weren't yet members so had to park at the nearby Woolworths carpark, also free for only 90 minutes, then paid. Docklands is a very busy, cluttered area and navigating around can be tricky. You cannot enter COSTCO, even to look around, unless you are a paid up member, $55-$60year, or a guest of a member. I must say I found the "joining" experience extremely unpleasant. Staff were very busy both with new registrations, customer queries, and shop returns. The need to supply Passports, drivers licences or other ID, ABNs (for business membership), have an Identity photo taken etc. quite intrusive, abrupt and unexpected. There are no explanations we could find at the registration area to let us know what the process required, and no explanatory brochures either. This is not the place to come for a few odd items. You come here to buy large quantities of things. A large number of items are recognisable brands, in bulk quantities, and a lot of COSTCOs own brands. You can buy jewellery, diamond rings etc, with some items over $5000.00, gold bullion, a 500gm ingot for around $43,000.00, Coffins, Car tyres, Garden Sheds, clothes, shoes, fresh groceries, baked goods, meat, dairy, wine and spirits, cleaning products, whitegoods, appliances, Apple phones, computers, cleaning products, automotive items etc etc etc. Almost anything you can think of. Plus 2 of the Melbourne COSTCOs sell discounted fuel, in Moorabbin and Epping only. Not everything is cheaper though! Some branded items are very slightly cheaper, so considering the inconvenience of paying and having to carry and find storage for large quantities negates any saving. However SOME items are a lot cheaper, real savings are available if you know how much things cost "outside". We've bought a few of their heat and eat, prepared meals, Chicken Tom Yum soup, Quesadillas, Chilli Con Carne, Pork Knuckles, etc. So far each has been really delicious, home cooked/restaurant quality, and I think good value. This is a huge barn of a place, and just walking around the entire store, with the giant sized trolleys, can be exhausting if you don't know where everything is. Definitely the place you can go to for a big shop up, or if you have a large family, business etc.

Very busy but runs like a well oiled machine. Staff are very polite and helpful. Can be a bit stressful so be prepared for big crowds. It helps to take things slow and have an idea if what you want to buy before you come here, otherwise you can easily spend a grand on things you probably don't even need. Regardless, we always have a lot of fun here and whatever we buy, it goes to good use.

Wide range of items available if you are planning on buying in bulk, great selection for a very competitive prices and never compromise on the quality. Parking is free for members. Customer service Is friendly, they also have a good court which server excellent pizzas. Docklands Costco is convenient as it is close to the city, you can also take either 70 or 86 trams come here.

Not much can be said about Costco, that we already don't know. Buy in bulk and spend a fortune! Not sure if one achieves real savings if you consider the annual subscription. A huge selection of goods, and very-very good quality overall, with good prices. If you manage to hold the consumer-mind in you and focus only on what you need, it is really worth it. Recommended.

2024: The sheer range and sizes of products is cartoonish. With sometimes little or no value when purchased from Aldi or Woolies. Other products invoke quite the wonder, such as $27k watches, and options for the deceased. The food (hotdogs and pizza), leaves you with the instant regret of thinking about what you've just put inside your gut.

I loved Costco. The place is amazing with anything and everything under one roof. Could spend hours just looking around. The bakery is the best part. However, it is best to go early on weekends as it gets very crowded, and getting out of car park is horrendous. The best time is weekdays in the morning for less traffic.

A wholesale mall for buying almost everything. You can get groceries, furniture, fresh food, bakery products , alcohol etc. there are most of big brands available. Please note you would require a membership to enter. If you go there don’t miss chance to have there special price pizza and other foods in the cafe .

Sometimes, the veg and fruits go off (as in mouldy) in a day or so and their skin off boneless fish often has bones or scales in it which is not great when we have young kids that love fish. Otherwise the staff are wonderful, patient and very helpful, and the stuff are much cheaper than a normal supermarket

This Costco itself is not my favourite - the prices are higher than I’d expect for many items and the selection is limited. But the food court is awesome. $1.99 for a hot dog AND soft drink with unlimited refills is unbeatable - particularly in a COL crisis. It almost makes the yearly fee worth it.
