My cat's regular groomer is an Uber away, so I decided to try out Danta Petz as it's within walking distance from me and I'm quite satisfied! It did take a while for me to secure a booking as their slots get taken up really fast after they become available, so I finally had to make the booking about a week in advance. But I am glad I got it as he now smells so good and feels so fluffy after his session! The happy hoodie was a nice touch which definitely helped with his fear of blow-dryers, and the staff let us stay in the grooming room to be there for him, and hold and pet him during the blow-drying process to keep him calm. The few little bits of matting he had were also carefully removed fuss-free for no extra cost, which was great and he is clearly feeling better without the tangles. As for the store, I really like the selection of (both vet-recommended and boutique) cat food, tofu litter, bubble backpacks, treats, supplements, and affordable hammocks and toys they have on-site. After losing PawPaw Jump, it's incredibly relieving to know I have somewhere new to frequent for these items as grocery stores don't stock great cat food or litter and the next closest pet supply store is much too far away from me for regular visits. If I had to make one comment it's that I noted in my booking that he is afraid of the blow dryer and would prefer to be box-dried but it didn't seem to have been conveyed to the groomer on duty. But once I told the groomer myself he was placed into the box dryer to finish up. Otherwise, communication was super easy and I could just text their number to make bookings or check-up on when the groomer was finished, and receive a reply very quickly. Thanks so much for looking after my little guy and I look forward to coming back again soon!

I am very disappointed with this store. This time I bought 2 bowls in the store, and found that they were slanted than I expected. I want to add more money to buy a water function. I know I Didn't see the "No Returns" policy on the side at checkout and now I don't blame the clerk for not reminding me at the checkout, but after communicating with the store manager and the boss, they answered me that they couldn't give me any help and let me sell it online by myself. I didn't even take it out and put it back in the box intact, I said: I'll buy a new one, can I put this in the store and help me sell it ？ Talk about laws and regulations with me. Even the customers next to me said that it’s okay to change it; I don’t want to say more, it’s really disappointing. I won’t tell everyone not to go, but remember that you can’t return or exchange goods here. Pay attention to the regulations when checking out. If there is a problem, the store will not give you any help. Please be responsible for this service quality, OK! Fine.

danta ❌ I won’t take my cat to danta to take a shower anymore I went there because they are famous and i thought they were professional but i was wrong the stuff cutted cat nails not serious and speed super fast. therefore he cutted my cat blood line which caused my cat to bleed. As a result, the clerk still said it was normal and they have medicine to stop blood. Bathing and drying are also so rude and the cat keeps howling (the first time I saw my cat barking so painfully) the whole process he used a very thin and not comfortable blue rope to put on cat neck to control cat let cat cannot move After bringing my cat back, I found that the back of my cat neck was not dry which was still wet. and my cat mood become very low and hide under the bed before is very closed to human They are so not professional and i dont know how this not professional man can get licence，whats more the place is quite small, they even use a small basin to wash my cat and the basin i also have at my house. It’s impossible to take my cat there to suffer so much next time.

I know this shop recommended by friend. Went there few times, I feel the wash and cut was ok. First time was really good by a man. But last two time my dog had wash by a lady , I feel not happy. Today I booked wash only appointment , took 2 hours to finish, but the result looks terrible, feel he had wash at home without any blow dry, the hair middle part like apart ( normally I was home and natural try looks the same) When the lady bring my dog out, she seems not happy and so rough to hold my dog . As a regular client , soooo disappointed P.s to reply the owner: Of course I know I ONLY spend $50 dollars this time !!!!!! How about before each time I spend over$100 dollars for wash and trim , plus the purchase the products from your store I was spent 2 hours waiting for my pet finish basic wash, I don’t expect this rough result. Please consider your customer service , not just find excuses blame client wasn’t tell on the day! Thanks for understanding!

I wouldn't come back again either. The girl who cleaned my cat is really rude. I had a reservation at 2 PM and secured 30 dollars for the appointment. They arranged two showering appointments at 2 PM. I was there first and even a bit early. Then I went shopping since they told me it would be an hour and a bit more. I came back at 2:40 PM. But my cat was still in the bag. I asked why they didn't wash my cat and the cashier girl told me because they have two appointments at the same time. The another cat was scared and would scratch or bite people so that they decided to shower it first. Nobody explained this situation to me and they really rushed to shower my cat. She's super scared and nervous too. The pet groomer didn't care and was on her phone when I came in. The service is super bad and wasted my time. I definitely don't recommend showering services since they don't care about customer service and like to give priority to 'special' situations.

Careless with customer. I went to Danta Petz for the first time around 12pm, bought a cat carrier and asked if I had to book an appointment to cut my cat's nails with the pet groomer, the attendant answered “I didn't need it”, and said I could bring it over at 6pm. I confirmed it, and around 5:40pm I was there with my cat. To sum up: “The attendant kinda belittled me, saying that the groomer had no other appointments and left earlier.” Well, everyone knows how stressful it is to take a pet to the groomer/vet, besides, in the summer, with heat, transport... I think it's a matter of responsibility, I wasted 2 hours of my day with this, to get there and not be attended. Also the attendant clearly seemed like she didn't care about the situation, which was totally her mistake, 'cause I had confirmed the service few hours before.

Bought a 4kg bag of royal canin first age kitten food, and within less than an hour attended the store because I realised the I grabbed the wrong bag and was meant to grab second she kitten food (I had also purchased the first time second age total canin wet food). Asked to just exchange the dry food as it was the same price and literally placed next to each other. Was basically laughed at, with the sales representative saying “no change of mind refunds” and she’s just a part time employee and doesn’t care. Save yourself the time and get better customer service at somewhere like Pet Barn. Absolutely appalling customer service by staff who are also always on their phone and couldn’t care less

I was disappointed with their service. I have booked for cat grooming for the first time on 18/08/22 at 12.00 pm. When i bring my cat to the shop their said that sorry we lost your information and they had to cancel every booked on this morning due to a staff got possitve. I can understand if they have an accident but they need to infrom me before i came to the shop. So, I had rescedule on the same day at 17.30 pm. When i arrived, I say hi with the staff, they did not respond. Moreover, When i send my cat to him, he immeditely started nail cliping without calm my cat down or talk to my cat. So, my cat was scary and getting nervouse. I am very disappointed.

bad customer service from attendant - we went up the 1st floor to look at additional cat bed products and brought down one that was in a box without pricing. At check out, after finding out the price we decided to leave the box to purchase another higher priced cat bed instead. Instead of processing the purchase, the lady at the counter asked us to bring back the box upstair Such a shame because I really like their products, but won't be back again with this level of customer service.

I would complain about the customer service but there really wasn’t any. The girl working there was uninterested in helping and spent most of her time chatting with a friend in store. Basically just felt ignored and I’m pretty sure I got a side eye for trying to interrupt? Honestly thought the products were decent and reasonably priced but I did have a couple questions. If they were answered I very much could have purchased several items but since they weren’t… here I am.

Bad experience!!! Asked for full cleaning and grooming. Not to mention the grooming is really ugly, they didn't clean the puppy's ear. I wasn't informed when picking up the puppy at all. And I only find out after arriving home. The customer service replied that it was my responsibility to check everything before payment. And they refused to provide a refund for ear cleaning. Definitely never ever come to this store again. And not recommend to any other friends at all.

Been here twice. First time was good with a male groomer. Second time, not so much. The reception made a double booking and our dog was super rushed. Shaved our dog's facial hair uneven and short looks like my dog hasn't been fed for a week. When asked for a fix the female groomer was reckless in handling my dog. Grabbed her by the feet and dragged her into the grooming area. In front of an unhappy customer. Who does that? The 'fix' didn't do much. Will not return.

Good selection of products, but customer service somewhat lacking. Unforgiving return policy - we bought a suction cup cat den but quickly found our cats did not fit, and the cushion inside was not level (so undoubtedly wouldn't be comfortable anyway). Tried to return it immediately the following day but was met with a flat no, couldn't even exchange for a cheaper product. No discussion or anything. A shame since they've lost two local would-be return customers.

I've always come here religiously to buy cat litter for my cat cause the Mochi Tofu cat litter here is so good and yet so affordable compared to other pet retail stores. The litter has great absorption and odour-control! The cat backpack and cat scratcher house I bought here are high-quality and well-loved by my cat. There are so many good pet products from Asia here that are not available in other mainstream Australian retail stores. Highly recommend!

Great shop, Took my Ragdoll there to have his first wash and cut. Looked amazing, smelt amazing and very good value. Huge range of cat food, accessories for you. They have a warehouse in North Melbourne where they keep their Litter boxes / other equipment. ONLY feedback I wish their ordering app was also in English currently only available in another language. Go here if you want a wide variety, decent prices and genuine staff. Thanks again Jim

The male groomer here is horrible. Looking through the window, he was handling poor chihuahua so rough, it was terrified. The way the guy turned doggie’s head or adjusted posture was inhuman. That little doggie was shaking so bad, scared, hung in a grooming rope not fitting its size. Such disgusting attitude towards the poor animal. If you don’t respect our little friends, just change your career and stop hurting helpless animals.

The products are great, slightly expensive but great. The staff however was super passive and unhappy. They have a shocked face when I asked for help. I'm a small person and I couldn't bring 2 big litter boxes downstairs. But they just stand there and watch me till I say I need help. As soon as I got downstairs they just let go and let me bring it to the counter myself. Never once offered help unless I pled. Kinda baffling...

worst customer service ever, i went today, short hair yellow and wear glasses, dont ever do customer service. you are very rude, and impolite. i ask every question, she does not know any question related to cat or dog product. very lazy, just look at the app all the answer is there. hope the owner of this shop, look at this comment cuz this is not the first time i met her, my friends also say that girl is very rude.

Reception staff providing awful customer service( female, short). Normally other staff quite okay. But this is next level. She speaks with un opened mouth, doesn’t matter you can understand or hear what she said is your problem! If you ask she to repeat it she get angry! She doesn’t seem to love animal at all and selling an animal product. She is next level of laziness! She never have her happy face there!

one of the few pet stores that actually has an abundance of cat products! cat bags, cat food, cat cleaners, cat bowls, cat harnesses, cat trees and more! and all the products are at a very reasonable price! iv tries shopping online or at other local petstores and warehouses but they always come with an inflated price tag! so glad i finally found a shop with all my cat shopping needs!

Had my dog groomed today, showed them a photo of what I wanted. and when I went to pick up my dog she was cut very badly, nearly cried when I first looked at her. They tried to fix it, but obviously didnt do much. The first two pics are my dog now, and the last one is the reference photo I showed the groomer. Paid $110 for full grooming service and left extremely unhappy.

They do have a lot of cat products you can try out but the staffs are always so rude and unfriendly. (seems to be a popular topic in other reviews too) There used to be one friendly lady every time I went there but she doesn’t seem to be around anymore :( now the current staffs are just plain rude, less reluctant to go to the store now but 2 stars for variety of products.

Great range of cat products amongst other stuff for pets including dogs Unfortunately they don’t do any exchanges and I bought a harness too small for my cat. I literally just tried it on her and immediately brought it back in exactly the same condition it was in on the shelf with my receipt but was told bad luck, so be careful with your purchase unless you’re sure!

Great price, excellent customer service! I told the guy that this was my first cat- helped me pick up every thing i could need, told me what was popular and was extremely polite. Free delivery on orders over $49. Also threw in a few free treats for my cat! They have an app- petsonline- order and get it delivered for free. Highly recommend this store.

Got a fantastic litter box here, it is shaped like a house with a little entry door and a slide out tray so you can easily tip it into a garbage bag or bin and a little mat that sits in front and catches stray litter. Really good product and friendly staff. Great to find a pet store focused on cats, so glad i found this place

Very disgusting experience. The grooming was done in 10 minutes and was particularly perfunctory. The attitude of the staff was extremely poor and poorly qualified. The inside of ears were dirty and not cleaned at all, and Went back with allergies and had a huge red rash on chest. . Will never go back, especially bad.

I love these guys. Speaking as a CBD resident - we need these guys. This is the third visit from my Gizmo - who was a lockdown doggy (second owner). And all I say is, "Do what you think". Perfect every time. Giz always leaves happy as Larry! Just me as owner has to remember to groom more often! XDons&Gizmo

This is a really great pet shop. They have a very solid and unique offering of different toys, cat trees and scratchers. Their food selection is also good and they have a selection of pet care products as well. Overall a good shop and definitely a necessity as they don't have any others at all in the CBD.

They were very nice but they had a tiny range and no stock for anything I wanted, it would take a month for her to get more stock. Wouldn't really recommend as choices are very limited, but I found a great place close by that had everything I wanted and more in Errol street.

Very disappointed and angry with how my dog was groomed, paid the extra services for full body grooming $85, uneven cuts shaved to the skin cheaply shaved and bottom left very exposed. Expected meticulous and better workmanship it’s not acceptable for me.

When you purchase something here, make sure you see the price or ask the price before you pay. Once you pay, they won't take your item back. Even if they're operating in Australian soil, they won't take returns or refunds. Buyer beware

Love the products that they sell! So cute for cats. It’s also quite affordable. The products are designed in Japan but (some) are made in China. I guess that’s why the products are quite affordable. Will definitely come back again.

The day I went , they were mostly out of stock on many things, like particular dog food brand and size, but still I was able to get a couple of things for my adult Labrador. The girl who attended me was really nice and helpful.

Asian lady with glasses at the front desk would rather spend more time whatsapping her friend. Picked out my items placed them on the counter but had to wait 20 seconds to pay whilst she had to finish whatsapping her friend.

Service was usually very good but today the staff was very rude. Slammed her phone on the counter, no greetings, gave me an attitude. She was very condescending when asked about the discount which was stated on the shelves.

It's so rare to find a store focused on cats and this one is just perfect! A great variety of dry food, wet food, treats, toys and much more. Not good for dogs, though. So even says pets, consider it as cats.

Good efficient service. I entered the shop and asked the sales girl where I could find what I was looking for. She politely told me. I got what I wanted and had a nice chat while she processed my purchase.
