DO NOT GO HERE! Daves Auto does NOT write down all appointments made on the phone. So good luck to you if you called and confirmed an appointment, then show up and realize no appointment was made! I called Weds, Nov 7, 2018 for an appointment for Friday, Nov 9, 2018. He said come earlier the better on the 9th. They open 8am to 5pm. We came at 10am. He said there was no appointment confirmed. He said, "you should have come first thing in the morning" which means 8am. "Come earlier, the better" means come anytime but earlier is better. Terrible human being as he said I threatened him (what?!) on the phone because I complained about his lack of integrity and disappointed in good online reviews. Don't bother.

My wife and I own a Pickup truck and an SUV and there is nobody else we trust but Daves Auto Diagnostics. Its one of the only businesses left in this City where you can get exactly what you paid for the very first time and in a timely manner. Ive been all over this city trying to find an honest and skilled mechanic and ended up paying for shotty workmanship, excuses, damages etc. etc. etc. Good service and quality are so rare and out of fashion these days so I suggest that when youve had enough of being given the run around you best go see Dave. Keeping our family rolling for more than 5 years now and more to come.

Spent 180 dollars did air conditioner maintenance first year at Dave's, AC broke right down second year, took my car to the shop, told Dave check it up and give me a call before do any repairs. Didn't receive call so I went to the shop by late of the day, Mr Dave gave me two choices: spend 3000 dollars to fix my ten yes old subcompact car's AC or pay 48 dollars for the diagnosis fee which he shouldn't charge, no matter maintenanced last year or not. By the way,I was an auto mechanic since 1988, but I have to pay 48 bucks to get my key back.

My alternator had seized and the Serpentine belt had snapped just a few blocks away from Dave's shop. He was busy at the time but understanding my situation he told me to come over before the battery died. Was able to get it there on the power I had. Dave was friendly and although busy, got me on the road the next morning. Price was slightly higher than I would have thought but it was a complicated access to the area and I think it was understandable considering he got me fixed right away and I appreciate that. Worst customer service and character of any mechanic shop I have dealt with anywhere in Manitoba. They installed faulty part a few weeks back for a safety which caused a major vibration on the highway. Owner Dave denied it, so then I took it to my mechanic who verified that was the issue. After talking with the owner he told me to f@&$ off and hung up. Do not get your vehicle serviced here.

The people here are great, often manage to find time to squeeze us in on short notice, and do quality work. The prices are very reasonable and depending on the diagnostics, sometimes they don't bother to charge for identifying the problem. They are flexible about payment and pickup, which is great for people like us that work overnights and sleep days. Top notch service for any vehicle!

One of the worst auto repairs shop in the town, never go there again.The engine burns a little oil, in fact, just need fill it up, but this guy replaced oil sending unit light, did an oil change, replaced oil pressure sender switch, even more outrageous, replaced four spark plugs, total cost me $294.22. The problem of burning oil in this car is not solved at all.

Had a broken stem valve from trying to put air in the tires but it bent the stem. Called and asked if they could help out and they told me to come down. Was there within 5 min and they took care of it right away and also offered to put air in the remaining tires. Free of charge. I will start to take my vehicle there!

We have been taking our vehicles to Dave for 15 years and Dave has always treated us fairly and done excellent work. If he can fix what is wrong he has always done so within one day. When the work has been outside his wheelhouse he has recommended someone to us. Highly recommended!

Dave helped me out of a jam with my sled trailer. Needed the tires replaced, and he took on the job and also greased the bearings. I dont get the poor reviews that are one liners. These should not be here, if they can not give a proper review as to why they are giving a 1 star.

This is the worst place that I ever been. I had the appointment at 8 am and they start to fix my car at 2pm, then of 20 minutes they told that the can’t fix my car because they have a lot of job to do.

I have dealt with Daves Auto for over 15 years. This is an honest place to have work done and the prices are always reasonable. I highly recommend this company. And the staff are always courteous.

Dave is a very knowledgeable person and knows his craft very well.very polite. I would recommend Dave as he patiently serviced my wind shield freely without charging me anything!
