One of the worst medical centres I have been to in the past 5 years. I booked an appointment with Dr Asanka Samarakoon but the receptionist put me through to Dr. Rajitha Fernando. This Doctor is a terrible and makes Derrimut Medicals look bad. When i asked the doctor I think I had the appointment booked with Dr Asanka he was rude and started saying well if you don’t want to see me you can go back out and talk to the receptionist. This is very rude and he need to respect the patient and who they have booked to see as a doctor. I do not attend medical appointments to deal with Dr. Rajitha Fernando BS!! Dr. Rajitha Fernando Is obnoxious and arrogant, hes not a friendly doctor!!! Dr. Rajitha Fernando was staring at his computer whilst talking and didn’t respect me as a patient. Dr. Rajitha Fernando If you do not like to me a doctor please resign. No patient want to see your negativity!!! I don’t belive he is qualified as a Doctor and he needs to work on his customer service skills. Otherwise hire someone else who is better at working with people and children. (Dr. Rajitha Fernando )

Literally the worst! In general the service is basic but the reception staff on the weekend are next level. Today, 6 August 2022, I called between 3pm and 3.30 pm to make a appointment with a nurse for some shots I have to take before I go overseas. After being on hold for 15 mins on two occasions the receptionist hung up on me both times. The third time she answered after 6 mins and acted like my request was the end of the world, she proceeded to ask why I can’t call tomorrow or the next day to make my appointment? Why would I do that when I’ve been in the phone for half an hour trying to organise appointment? You could literally hear her laziness through the phone. Before I could say anything she told me she had to put me on hold, which I was for a further ten minutes before the line was disconnected. Pure disregard and incompetence! Medical centres like this need to be held to account for their poor service and disregard toward the public that they are supposed to support.

I actually really like Derrimut Medicals because of Dr Chiranthi Sriwardena, she is such an amazing doctor! She is so kind & takes really good care of you! I will say though that Dr Rajitha Fernando is an interesting doctor, I went to see him once when I first went to Derrimut Medicals and I sort of felt rushed and it was like he couldn't be bothered. So it depends on which doctor you choose to see which is unfortunate, but I haven't seen any of the other doctors at Derrimut Medicals so they might be nice & caring but I really don't know, Dr Chiranthi Sriwardena is amazing though! I will keep going to see her Edit: I'm adding to this review I did a few months ago... I had seen Dr Asha Jeganathan today and she is such a lovely & thorough doctor. Very very happy

My telehealth consultation was scheduled at 1150 am today , i rang back six times though out the day , and staff always say we ‘ll call you back and no one calling me back , ALSO , staff said instead if a General practitioner, there will be a nurse to call me for my telephone consultation. So far , still no one calling me back at this time of the day @ 6:15pm , and i wont be able to find any GP now as its too late for the day . If Staffs busy , i wish they could just told me they wont have time to call me and least i could find other GP early. I feel like just a number instead of being treated as a patient. Very very disappointed experience.

There is this lady name Katrina who works at the reception doing a fantastic job as the voice of Derrimut Medicals, serving her clients above and beyond the expectations. I was at this place on a Monday morning. The place was extremely busy with visiting patients and the phone was ringing nonstop. Anyone could buckle under this kind of circumstances, yet Katrina managed to keep her cool and serve all of them very professionally. Best reception I have seen for a very long time. Keep up your good work Katrina.

I had a telehealth appointment with one of the female doctors there at 10:40am on Sat 01 Jan but it was a no show by her. I called the clinic and was told the female doctor was running late and she would contact me in a few minutes. However, I waited until past 15:00 (clinic closing time) and received no call. Later on, I emailed reception to reschedule for another time but no one has contacted me to date. The service level needs to improve at this clinic.

Receptionist was rude. She asked my wife if she'd filled out the form that was sent to her, which she did. The receptionist couldn't find the form that my wife submitted and initially said that 'it doesn't look like you did it'. Her overall tone and the way she spoke to us and other clients was appalling. She obviously didn't want to be there. Unsure of her name but she's middle aged with glasses.

We attended today with flu-like symptoms. We were seen virtually on time. The doctor was a lovely gentleman who was very gentle with my son. He carefully explained what he was testing for, in detail. We both felt well looked after and cared for, in what must be a difficult role. I would recommend this clinic to everyone who has respiratory symptoms.

Dr Naveen is blessing for my family’s health. We go there from many years. So professional, and best knowledgeable doctor. He is our family Dr now. Have seen other drs too at Derrimut Medicals in absence of Dr Naveen. Very corporative and understandable team of drs. Lovely admin staff. Staff understand the needs whenever we call them.

Ive been at this clinic many many times because it was the closest to my old place and never once I walked away happy. The doctors are so incompetent and cocky it is disgusting. Ive seen all of them more than once and no one of them is a trustable doctor. Pathology is great though the nurses are extremely professional.

Very easy to get an appointment the same day at respiratory clinic. Doctors and nurses at the clinic are very helpful and polite. My little son was made very comfortable on his visit. It is very reassuring to have a facility which can be accessed when in need especially for kids with respiratory symptoms.

Receptionist on the phone was very helpfull, unfortunately the doctor that helped me was no good. Had a severe sore throat and asked if there was anything I could use to relieve the symptoms. His reply was to get some lozenges and tough it out. I can tell you now where I wont be going again.

Do not book an appointment with Dr. Naveen Chandar. He was completely unprofessional and incompetent. Spoke very rudely and started raising his voice for no reason. Also made the patients wait for over an hour. The reception staff are also very incompetent. Avoid this clinic at all cost.

Irony, stupidity and hypocrisy in full display. Booked an appointment. I was Told can't see a doctor without a mask. Meanwhile doctor is walking around inside without a mask. This scam and ill treatment can only be possible with so called "free medicare" while i pay 40k tax every year

You go there for a PCR test and they criticise you for going in to confirm your RAT results. They are not friendly and are quick to rush you out the door while you have questions and concerns because 'you are exposing us to the virus'. Not sure why they chose this role.

It's our 5th year in Australia and our family is a regular visitor to this clinic. Whenever we require advice on any of our health problems, we find doctors especially Dr Naveen and Dr Asanka approach very professional and to the point. Highly recommended.

I've been to the respiratory clinic twice. Both times were great. I was seen on time, the nurses and doctors were very friendly and the doctors took the time to explain things.

I didn’t need to wait for too long and you know where you are in the queue. And the doctor is not in a rush when attending to you, he did a proper check on your condition.

Ridiculous waiting time, been here more than 20+ times and sometimes you have to wait more than 30 minutes. Some doctors are unprofessional and rude while some are nice.
