If I EVER return to Brisbane I DEFINITELY won’t be coming back to east Coast, car rentals THAT’S FOR SURE! When We first arrived. It took forever to be served as they were talking about their Friday night amongst themselves laughing ect close to 10-15 minutes later they decided to serve the customers that were lined up waiting for them to stop the chit chat and do what they are paid to do serve customers. The Car was clean on the outside BUT VERY DIRTY on the inside I personally had to vacuum the vehicle before continuing our LONG drive, there was chewing gum stuck to the two front seats my fiancé and I had to sit on plastic bags The entire trip, mind you it was a 2 1/2 hour drive, back to sitting on plastic bags situation I didn’t want it to ruin my Versace dress as we had a wedding to attend and had to look Presentable!! Not to mention the continuous charges to my credit card for tolls 5 times through out the months after I returned the vehicle THIS PLACE WAS A LIVING NIGHTMARE FROM START TO FINISH IF I HAD KNOWN ALL OF THIS, I WOULD’VE TAKEN MY MONEY TO ANOTHER COMPANY THAT WOULD’VE PROVIDED A CLEAN VEHICLE. AFTER ALL THAT IS WHAT WE PAID FOR VERY VERY DISAPPOINTING! To be truthful having to give east coast rentals one⭐️ is giving you guys WAY too much as you don’t deserve one Minus ➖ 5 ⭐️. Take your money else where you’ll thank me in the long run

I'm sharing this to boost your service, as I think there is a lot of potential for an overall great experience. The good things in general were the car (no complaints there) and the excellent service on the phone guiding us to the shuttle. For improvement two important things: First the 'upselling' of the damage waiver by the person helping us was very aggressive. Stating things such as 'if you have a scratch it will cost you 5500 dollars', even though this is both not true and I already mention I have a damage waiver in my credit card insurance. I understand the upside of selling the damage waiver from a business perspective, but please do not do it too aggressively. It ruins the experience. Furthermore, my car wasn't filled up from the start. I am sure you guys knew this, as the contract was changed to a 'like for like' fuel policy. However the amount to refuel is so difficult to judge when refueling that's it nearly impossible to do a like for like. So I would generally advise to always fill up before the car gets loaned.

Everything went very smoothly from booking online to drop off and everything in between. Text message that gives you a link to order the shuttle was great, very detailed directions including photos telling you how to get to the pickup point and live tracking so you can see how far off the shuttle is. Friendly, efficient staff in the office who genuinely seem to want to be there and enjoy their job. We got an upgrade which was lovely and unexpected, only downside of that was that we were not super impressed with the Haval Jolion (booked a Corolla or similar) but that is not East Coasts fault - it just didn't suit us. Returning the vehicle was quick and the lovely shuttle driver, Sonja, even dropped us right to the airport hotel we were staying the night at, so we didn't have to walk the 7 - 8 minutes from the usual drop off point to the hotel. Now that is what I call above and beyond. Overall, the best hire car experience we have ever had. We will definitely book with East Coast again if we are ever in Brisbane again.

Good fleet of cars. Pricing was a bit higher but we upgraded our car from the original car we booked. We hired the Toyota Kluger which suited our needs very well. Spacious and no issues. I would have loved a phone holder in the car and a cable charger though. The toll fees were sent separately instead of in one total invoice. Upon return, minor damage of a dent on the drivers seat was identified. It was new to me but seemed like someone else must've dented the door whilst parked next to us however didn't alert us. We paid a $1000 deposit on top of the car hire charges and East Coast said they would hold onto it for 2 weeks until a quote was resolved for the minor damage. A bit much and too long a wait. I'm glad a paid a bit extra for insurance when I booked via a third party website. Hopefully they don't take as long to put the claim through. I would use these guys again, but will be very cautious and weary of their T's and C's next time.

If I could do 4.5, I would. The car was great, unlimited kms good, drop off easy, no excess charges, free shuttle is easy and is only 5-10 minutes from airport. My only complaint was that at pickup it was quite slow and clunky and they tried to give us a different model car to what we had booked. Which we pointed out. As we had pulled up we saw the specific car we’d asked for being dropped off and then quickly realised this was the car we were then given - without being cleaned or thoroughly inspected. Which was no big deal but an indication of a lack of organisation. Also the $1000 deposit you get surprised with at the counter wasn’t ideal when starting your holiday and the after sales pitch of how to reduce this was causing a lot of frustration to all at the counter being served alongside us. All in all a good experience though and would hire again.

Brilliant! My family hired two cars from East Coast Rentals, Brisbane Airport not actually at the airport but they will collect you in their shuttle), last week. We cannot fault this company. Shuttle service was efficient, friendly, helpful driver. Both vehicles were very new and in absolutely perfect condition. The staff we had contact with were friendly and professional and they kept us fully informed via email re tolls etc. They are also incredibly well priced , excellent value for money. When I was initially searching for hire cars I questioned if they were actually legitimate because of the low cost! They absolutely are. We have no hesitation recommending East Coast Car Rentals and will absolutely use them again in the future.

I had a good experience and it’s a great company but BEWARE that they don’t provide after hours services. You can’t drop off the car or the keys either after or before their business hours. So if you have an early or late flight you will need to pay a hefty fee of $55 to leave it across the street (shuttle included) and then they will close the account for you. I totally disagree with this service because if you are going to serve the airport and international passengers you need to have the ability to cater those services. Also make sure you tell your customers that they are going to pay that fee so they can plan ahead or give their business to someone else. Overall you guys have a great customer service and good rates.

tldr: Don't expect to get a car even if you made a booking. So we made a booking in the week before a trip and the morning of pick up we received an email saying the booking was cancelled with no explanation. We called up and were informed that making a booking doesn't mean you will get the car (what's the point of a booking system then? - I assume they over book incase people don't turn up). We were left at the airport without a car and had to call around to find a car so we could get to our friend's wedding. This was made extra difficult as it was school holidays. They should've at least notified us earlier to give us the opportunity to find somewhere else rather than at the airport.

Initially, the idea of getting a shuttle to the car rental office put me off, however the price was too good to not give it a go, and I’m so glad I did! The process was the most simple I have ever experienced in hiring a car. The instructions to the airport shuttle were easy to follow, the shuttle was waiting for us and it took only five minutes to get to the office. On arrival the staff were ready, we signed our paperwork, received an upgrade! And we were off. The return was even easier, we drove in, were met by staff who checked the car over and then showed us to our shuttle which was waiting to take us back to the airport. Hands down the easiest and best car rental experience ever.

I am a frequent customer of ECCR - Great prices, service and vehicles every time I visit and has allowed me the freedom of having a car for weekend getaways and holidays without the expense or commitment of owning one since I don't need one most of the time. Last time I rented was when my mum visited Queensland for the first time - The staff member who assisted me not only gave me a free upgrade (for being a loyal customer + my mum's comfort) but also took the time to write down and explain their favourite day trip through the Gold Coast hinterlands. They also offer a free shuttle to and from the airport - If you're visiting Brisbane and need a car you can't go wrong with these guys.

Clean cars, excellent price and easy service. Would certainly recommend East Coast Car Rentals. Only 2 comments to keep in mind. First, we rented at ECCR coming in from Canada and did not know how long we would need a rental. We bought a car and therefore did not need the rental for the entire time we booked. But then were informed that we would not receive a refund on the balance, or a credit for future rentals. We were also hoping to get a ride over to the train station after returning the rental, but were informed that they could only take us to the airport. Not a big deal, but more expensive to get home. Overall easy process to get the car and drop off, and best price around.

We recently hired a car from East Coast Car Rentals during our Australia trip. From the ease of booking, to the clarity of directions, quality of car and service of the staff- it was excellent all through. The company organises pick up from Brisbane airport which was efficient. Steven greeted us at the counters and was extremely helpful with advice on the car, the package etc as it was our first time to hire a car in Australia. The car was clean and trouble-free through the 1,000 kms across our trip. The car return was equally smooth - i had a scratch on the car which was covered by the insurance that Steven initially advised us to take. Overall- wonderful experience.

Okay car rental service. Like all other rental car companies they did try to sell another insurance even though we already bought a full coverage insurance via VIP cars. We did not buy it, if we did we would have payed 5.500 AUD which we would get back after the insurance was settled after an accident (which can take up to several months). This is off course to scare you off and is an extra money maker all car rental companies take advantage of. Secondly we were half an our early for which they made us pay 20 dollars extra. After complaining that that is rather silly, they refunded the money (hence the three stars :o)). No complaints about handling the intake.

I booked a small nice car for 2 weeks when I joined their insurance for, they upgraded my car which was a new 2022 much nicer one. It's very cheap for hiring price that all my friends were surprised with it. The shuttle bus (a bit rough for my big luggages) and desk processes were nice, smooth and friendly. When I brought it back they checked quickly on it, the petrol 3/4 full as they told me @ the first day so I did, and refound a phone holder fee that didn't work properly. All processes were nice and smooth again. I'll definitely go back for myself next time and strongly recommend ECCR for you ‼

Was super impressed with the service provided on my recent car hire. Once i had collected my bags, clicked on the link to get instructions for bus collection, easily told me where to meet bus and by the time i arrived at the collection point, bus arrived within a minute. There was some confusion with a part of my booking, but they quickly and easily resolved it and I was off in my car. Upon returning the car, they were quick to meet me, check car over ,take photos and get me off the airport. Will definately use again and highly recommend to anyone looking for car hire at a good rate.

Terrible. Booked a family sized suv to accomodate my family and our luggage when we got there they only had a small car that didnt fit all our bags in. Why?! I made a booking that was not honored in any way this is not acceptable, how did they no know what cars would be available and when ? after a 40 minute hold up they had nothing to offer us except excuses and not even an apology. they were happy to take my money but when it came time for them to produce the car they har "reserved" for me ... nothing, crickets, what kind of circus are east cost rentals running! these guys suck!

Quick and efficient as always. Excellent website and very good communication throughout. Although I've used them often, I found the turn by turn photographic guide book to get from my luggage carousel, out the doors over the bridge and to the pickup site spot on. Even if just staying at the nearby Ibis or Novatel hotels, their free pick-up and drop-off service makes a days rental of a small car cost-neutral when compared to a return taxi fare to & from the airport, plusyou have a vehicle if you wish to travel around town. Excellent customer service and in and out quickly

If you're a leisurely traveler and can afford a quick ten minutes detour to pick up your rental car from outside the airport, I don't see why you'd want to rent from anyone else. Their customer service was spot on, navigation directions upon landing was easy to follow, and minimal wait time because everything was digitally done. I liked the fact that they took photos of the condition of the car and shared a copy before I drove off. Their price was decent. My only complaint was that I booked an MG, not a Kia. But the car drove fine. Overall 8.5/10.

Great company to deal with, very efficient. I recently rented a car in Brisbane and the directions given for catching their shuttle bus from the airport were excellent. Only a short 5 minute wait for the shuttle and the depot is only a 5-10 minute drive away. The car was in great condition and the staff got me on my way quickly. No problems on drop off of the vehicle and a quick shuttle back to the airport. I’ll be using them again, as they are much better value than the other rental companies at the airport, and they have a very efficient team!

An excellent experience for my 7 day car rental. Price was about the same as other airport rentals - but mine included no excess insurance! :) Shuttle bus pickup had very clear instructions with photos of where to go (on the phone) for pickup and was very efficient - about 5 min drive from Brisbane airport. Drivers were very helpful with all our luggage. Efficient pickup and dropoff with plenty of very friendly staff. No waiting! I returned the car with slightly under full fuel and they did not charge me extra. Very happy with the service.

I hired an Outlander for 5 weeks from ECCR to travel from Qld to Vic and back again. The car was a dream to drive and so comfortable for long distance travel. The team were super helpful when I wanted to extend the hire for another week midway through the original hire period. This was my second interstate trip with one of their vehicles and both were very new and totally trouble free! I would strongly recommend ECCR to anyone looking for a great vehicle at a great price! I really researched around for rental cars and spoke to a few of them, but these guys were amazing with communications and price. They were the cheapest but also the service in terms of shuttle pickups and processing was all 10/10. Because our flight landed earlier than expected, they were nice enough to allow us to leave the bags with them in a secure room, and even gave us a lift to the local DFO until it was time to pickup the car. Above and beyond! Thanks guys! Highly highly recommended!!

East Coast car rental in Brisbane were amazing. I had to change my booking twice with no notice due to unforeseen circumstances. The team in Brisbane did it with no complaints. I even forgot my portable phone charger. Sarah gave me a call to let me know they have it in lost property, all I have to do is send a paid postage envelope and they will send it back to me. Excellent!! I hired a car from East Coast Rentals, Brisbane Airport. The rental area is just outside the airport. They offer a pick up service which is easy to locate and the shuttle was there waiting for us on our arrival. Everything was as promised, a new hybrid model (as requested) the low competitive rate, smooth check in and drop off. I have no hesitation in recommending East Coast Car Rentals, the staff really care about their customers. I will absolutely use them again!

The staff at East Coast are always super helpful and friendly. Hiring with them is always a smooth process. During my most recent rental, my flight was delayed 2 hours, which took me past closing time. I wasn't sure what would happen with getting to the depot via the shuttle, let alone picking up my hire car. But lucky for me the great staff track your flights. So they contacted me, stilled picked me up from the airport, and had my car waiting. Thank you so much East Coast!

Try to rip you off ask you to purchase a lower excess fee package cost $140, blame you because the car is bit dirty. Charge you 5 times on fuel. Rubbish service wait time at least half a hour. Never use them again. Please go for other rental company for $50 more but much more pleasure experience. So disappointed at this company. Showing picture of Outlander give me a rubbish MG, by just say this is the same category. Over all, they try to rip you off ever-step the process.

Second time we have used East Coast Car Rentals after flying into Brisbane. Both times the service was great. Easy directions in a step by step format complete with photos to get from back pick-up to the shuttle bus and a quick drive to the depot. Great service at the depot and a very easy pick up/drop off as all the photos are taken for you. Good range of vehicle at very reasonable pricing. Will definitely use East Coast when we are next in Brisbane!

I recommend East Coast Car rentals. The service is exceptional, you speak to a very helpful local when you call them and everything worked just like they said. It is night and day contrast to Avis who we used on the Same holiday as well. We are still battling them for unexplained charges on our credit card 3 weeks after getting home only managing to speak to the Phillipines who are nice but useless as far as sorting anything. Rent from ECC rentals.

Can’t praise East Coast staff at Hendry (Brisbane Airport). So easy to make my booking, picked up at the airport within 15 minutes if ringing the driver. The staff in the office were friendly and helpful. The car was ready and in immaculate condition. On returning the car the staff were just as friendly and helpful. I was driven back to the train station, no waiting. The driver was also helpful and kind. Thank you. Will be using East Coast again.

A great service near the airport. They communicated very well and advised details of the shuttle service prior to flight. I would have liked details of the pickup point though rather than waiting for these on landing. Lovely people and made everything easy. The car was fab and drop off and return to the airport quick and simple. I will definitely use them again. I particularly liked the prepaid full payment a great discount with no excess.

Fantastic service. Everything was very well communicated, the text message with link to order the shuttle after getting through customs/immigration included very clear directions to find the location to meet the shuttle. This also had the ability to track the shuttle. It is a great use of technology to support their customers and business. Better yet were the electric vehicles on offer, helping reduce the emissions impact of travel.

East Coast car rentals made my experience very easy to deal with and nothing was to much trouble to change times according to flight changes. They were helpful explaining about toll fees straight up and which was a better route to take to my destination. How pathetic pay for the car get there then ask for a digital copy of proof as I am a local who lives 60 km away then want 1000 after purchase of the no excess. Wouldn't hire to my mother so went out of my way to hire a car to get her to and from hospital to be told I've had to have a 1000 dollars in my account. Pathetic to say the least especially when you pay extra to cover anything and everything to lower the excess to 0$.

I was really impressed with the ease of booking, picking up , and returning our vehicle, a Tesla3. A refreshing lack of filling out forms as it was already done on-line, casual and friendly staff, and the car was exceptionally clean. Well done East Coast Car Rentals Team, we had a totally trouble-free week driving around the Blackall Range (Witta/Maleny) and surrounds with the rented car. We wanted a Toyota Corolla or equivalent, and the supplied Hyundai i30 was perfect- easy to drive, and very economical. Good telephone help, convenient airport shuttle service, competitive pricing... no question about a 5-start review... thanks!

Pick up and car was great, but big watch with these guys is to check your drop off times before you book. They are not open as early as most of the rental places and it cost us $55 today to drop it back early at 6am. Luckily one of my the other rentals allowed us to ride in their shuttle as ECCR wasn’t running yet…! Would have been a higher review if the drop off hadn’t been such an expensive hassle.

This is the second time we use them and were left very happy and satisfied. Pickup was a bit slow-ish, maybe just the guy on the front desk that day. The car I'd say 8 out of 10 - bit shaky when going fast and applying the brakes, and the rear-left door sensor was faulty and had to smash it for the alarm to turn off. Other than that, all good. Drop off was a breeze. Would definitely use them again.

Upon arrival the gentlemen who served us was very helpful. However when we returned the car photos were taken of the car which I understand but I felt like I did something wrong.We were also told the tank was not full enough upon return. I was told that it would cost us $25 dollars then $10 I was charged $19. Also the insurance money paid does that get refunded as there were no accidents.

From start to finish, this company was a delight. Very professional, and friendly, the staff were very efficient and kind. The shuttle service for the short distance between airport and office was prompt, and welcoming. A great provider at an affordable price that beats the in-airport competition. Car was in excellent condition and very clean. Car I was provided with was an unsolicited upsell which was annoying, yet suited my needs better for only a small extra charge. Shuttle service was smooth and easy. Overall a very good choice. A word of caution. Do not touch your mobile phone while driving!!

We rented from East Coast Car Rentals for the first time and they did not disappoint. We had the use of a Hyundai Staria that was immaculate, reasonable in cost, and hassle free. The staff at East Coast were friendly, helpful and efficient. Even when they were super busy at the drop off, we didn't have to wait long. We will definitely rent from East Coast Car Rentals again!!

East Coast Car rentals Brisbane Airport are fantastic. The van from terminal to depot was honestly quicker than standing in line at a terminal rental counter of Europcar etc. Car was clean and quite new. Staff were excellent to deal with and excess much lower than mainstream companies. Finally, price was more than competitive, especially without the airport loadings.

Apparently, they will charge you the late returning fees without telling you. I returned the vehicle late about 45 minutes and got extra charge for $50 dollars and that was deducted by the company without invoice and notice. Consider before using them as they would advertise it a cheaper but there will be a lot of hidden charges without letting people know.

Smooth check-in / check-out process. The car was good for the entry level price point without any issues using it. Toll road charging went automatically to my personal debit card that was registerest at check-in. They are close to the airport and offer a shuttle service to/from Brisbane airport. We will choose them again if we happen to be in Brisbane.

Our experience started a little rocky. It it was not their fault. We ordered through a second party and they gave us the wrong information. We were so grateful they were able to accommodate us. It was such a great experience and the car we ordered exceeded our expectations. It was amazing to drive and we had plenty of room for our tall growing family.

The shuttle was was waiting for us when we got through customs and the driver helped with our bags. The service excellent. At reception, James was very accommodating with helping us swap from the car we’d booked. Great experience all round. We had a quick and fuss-free drop off and prompt lift back to the airport. Shuttle service was great. However pick up experience was terrible as they would keep selling you the insurance and scam you have to pay huge excess of $4400 even you are not at fault or your have travel insurance covered. The insurance on top was like $400-$500 for a week, way more than the travel insurance which cover everything and car rental.

I rented from East Coast based on the reviews and was very happy with both the nearly new Toyota Kluger and the friendly, efficient service. We dropped off our car just before closing and one of the employees even offered to drive us back to our hotel about 7 minutes away. East Coast will be my first choice when I am back in the Brisbane area.

Good bargain with excellent customer service. We’ve been provided the exact car as booked and were able to extend our rental for 2 hours on spot facilitating our schedule. Airport pick-up was easy and timely. A minor hiccup with the final bill and refund but EC dealt with us with extraordinary service and timely response.

A little tricky to find at the airport but the staff are very polite and a phone call away. Very easy to talk to and we even had the option to change our car because it wasn't Android compatible. All up a really nice experience, with friendly staff and free bus pic up and drop off. Wonderful cars and very affordable.

Convenient location in the BNE vicinity. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. My vehicle was clean and in excellent condition. The rates were very good however, there were surcharges applied to my credit card for every toll or traffic infringement. Overall I am very happy with East Coast Car Rentals!

Great service, Was skeptical with the price I had got that I would be somehow ripped off, However the service was pleasent, and they took very thorough pictures before and after. Only thing is their cheaper insurance options have a very high excess of keep that in mind when booking.

Very smooth service rendered throughout. The staff were always willing to accommodate to my numerous changes, and on site retrieval and returning of the car was well managed and very effective with the use of technology to expedite the experience. Would certainly use them again!

I have been hiring a car from East Coast rental since last 2 years whenever I visit Brisbane. They have very convenient pickup and drop from airport. The quality of their cars is really good, we always got a new and clean car. I am highly satisfied with their cars and service.

They will charge you A$72 if you get a ticket just for kicks and giggles. They don’t use it to pay the ticket they just charge you it for no real reason. They say “admin work” but is not a real excuse. A$72 for a $2 postage to forward the ticket to me? Give me a break

Easy to deal with. Picked up vehicle at their depot so don't know what pick up shuttle is like from airport and if there's much of a wait. But drop off was prompt. Will use again but damn if that insurance doesn't blow the rental prices out of the water!

One of those times when the product is better than advertised. Good prices, new cars, efficient process for booking, pickup, drop off and the shuttle to airport is fast and regular. Rarely leave reviews but wanted to call out a great experience.

Very affordable & professional service. Every car I have rented from them has been is excellent condition and I have had no issues. Pick up takes a little longer as they aren't at the airport terminal but their free shuttle is very efficient.

Great service, provided the exact car that we needed to accommodate 2 adults, 3 children and lot's of luggage. Brand new Mitsubishi Outlander. Shuttle service to and from Brisbane airport quick and efficient.

Pick up and drop off to the airport was seamless, we were in and out within 10 minutes for picking up the car and returning it. Service was prompt and friendly and prices very competitive. We will be back.

Prompt service. Friendly staff. I left a pair of glasses in the car when dropping off, and the shuttle driver helped call the office and took me back to the office to retrieve them, with no fuss.
