Had to go to the one on Eubank in Albuquerque NM as my mom's storage unit was broken into in the middle of the day. Their website boasts of security and piece of mind, but looking around, the Eubank one in Albuquerque NM is lacking greatly. Mom has a double sided unit and neither row the doors are on have cameras. The cameras that were there are old and honestly look like they were inside cameras being used outside and the monitors that show footage is in the main office for all to see. EVERY SINGLE CAMERA WAS UNFOCUSED EXCEPT THE ONE INSIDE THE OFFICE. Staff of two ladies were nice, but you could tell they really didn't care about what happened. One told us that my mom's unit wasn't the first and that there have been a few break ins. She also told us that when she made a security sweep the morning it happened everything was fine, but when she did one in the afternoon is when she found the lock cut off. They didn't offer to help us discover who did it, not that the security video would be much use, but they would have had to use a code to even get back there. My mom pays over $200 a month for a secure safe unit. Needless to say we are telling everyone to stay away from ALL Extra Space Storage facilities and strongly suggest that if you have a unit at ANY Extra Space facility, MOVE YOUR BELONGINGS OUT! Update: Mom called the number listed in the response was just sent through an automated system that just told her how much she was paying and when it was due. She feels, and I agree with her that the people at Extra Space do not care about what happened. The claims are all done through emails, although Marilyn with Beecher Calson Insurance Services was quite helpful and nice. Not even the police could be bothered simply being told "It happens. Sucks, but you just move on." No one seems to realize that my mother lost EVERYTHING ever dear to her. My childhood, my parent's life, EVERYTHING Extra Space promised to keep safe. My dad's ASHES and military medals are gone. Probably in the dump by now. I told her to store her stuff here and go traveling. Worse recommendation I have ever made. I understand that things happen, but the fact that this place doesn't have decent security and blatantly boasts it on the wall in the office for all to see is appalling. Especially since their biggest selling point is suppose to be security. I do not expect much from the insurance since they are created just for Extra Space Storage.

It took me 2 days to get into my unit. There was no one at the facility to help. No one answered the phones. I left a voicemail and did not get a return call. On the 2nd day I was waiting and an employee finally showed up at 9:15am, 15min after you were supposed to open. I asked if he worked there and his response was “unfortunately”. It to k another 30 minutes to get him to come take the company lock off the door of the rented unit. I was waiting there with a rented uhaul to unload…in the rain. I have rented here 2 other times and it was not like this before. This has been the worst experience…and to pay this kind of money for poor service. Don’t know that I’d rent here again.

Store manager Jonathan was so helpful and very clear about unit details, fees, etc. I purchased a 5x10 for a $100 that includes the backup policy just in case my things get damaged. That alone cost 16.50 although it isn’t necessary to purchase. We then checked out a look a like unit first and he guided me through with ease and explained everything clearly. He also l let me check it out before I made any agreements. This is my first rental storage unit and I’m very pleased with everything and everyone! PS, he cleaned my unit too before I went it and it smelt nice and clean not like piles of dust!

I recently moved to the area and needed some off-site storage. I discussed my needs with Joshua Kovach, who was very helpful in determining the correct storage unit size for my extra stuff. Joshua allowed me to see the unit before committing and the leasing process was easy. Joshua walked me to the entrance and exit gates to be sure my code worked and I knew how to enter and exit the gated area. He also provided me information on the Digital Access App and made sure I had his business card. Joshua takes pride in his work, is very personable and he exemplifies great customer service.

We have been with the location for 5 yeara now.. There r places closer to where we live but this storage location is always clean, secure and we've always encountered amazing customer service. Staff and manager have always been helpful and very prompt if there have been an concerns here and there. Honestly, there hasn't been any real concerns. Josh helped us out with a question about our billing statement and he was very professional, courteous, and understanding. Security is always around when I go to storage which makes me feel at peace about stuff that's locked away there.

I set up my rental agreement via phone with a customer service representative. Almost immediately after I got off the phone with her, a representative from my storage units location called me to verify my agreement. We arranged a time for me to meet in person and confirm it was what I wanted and turns out, I needed something different. Joshua helped me choose a better size storage for my needs and he was thorough in his explanation of prices, billing, and deadlines. He was great and very nice! Definitely recommend meeting with him to clarify any questions.

I thought my experience when I rented a unit in TX last month was excellent and gave them a great review. My experience in Albuquerque even exceeded that! Their office had a staffing problem due to illness the morning I arrived, but they were able to get me registered and DocuSign all the necessary forms while I waited in my car for someone from another facility to get there. And he was also great and very apologetic for the delay, which wasn't long since he arrived just as I was finishing up the registration on the phone.

Great place and great people there. Unfortunately, and as always, in a democrat led city there is too much crime. 5 months into storing my things there someone (human trash) tried to break into my unit using a drill on the lock. Luckily they were unsuccessful. They need higher fences and more barbed wire. The folks that work at this location can’t help that, but hopefully the company can put some more money into security since they raised my rates within a couple of months of renting.

Joshua is awesome .he helps me out when he knew I was getting sick he wouldn't hesitate to help me lift boxes and he would remind me to take breaks. Heand his assistant mike will go the extra to make sure and give great customer service which is still very important. I have been here for a couple years and am satisfied .I won't rent anywhere else!!! Keep up the good work guys and thanks

Joshua has been so great to work with. He's very understanding and compassionate. When I fell a bit behind on my payment he worked with me and went above and beyond what anyone else would have done. If I ever need to get a storage unit in the future I will most definitely be going back to extra space simply because of him. Thank you Joshua, I do appreciate everything you have done.

After the store manager screwed my reservation not for the third time she didn’t even bother calling me back. Luckily I talked to Josh who is friendly, competent, and efficient. She was patient and showed us the deferent size units and explained prices and discounts until we found the perfect one. She carefully listened to our needs and helped us find exactly what we were looking for.
