I recently had the pleasure of dining at Extreme Pizza, and I have to say, it was a fantastic experience. From the moment I walked in, I could tell that this was a fun and upbeat restaurant with a great vibe. The staff were all friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere was lively and energetic. It was the perfect place to grab a bite with friends or family. But the real star of the show was the food. I ordered a huge pepperoni pizza, and I was blown away by the size and taste. The pizza was massive, easily enough to feed four people, and it was loaded with delicious toppings. The crust was crispy and chewy, and the sauce was just the right amount of tangy. But the real standout was the pepperoni – it was perfectly cooked and had a great spicy kick to it. I was honestly sad when I finished my slice – it was that good. Overall, I would highly recommend Extreme Pizza to anyone looking for a great dining experience. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was fun, and the staff were all fantastic. And if you're a fan of pepperoni pizza, you absolutely have to try theirs – it's truly something special. While if you may not enjoy pepperoni pizza Extreme Pizza offers a variety of pizza options like vegetarian and vegan pizzas. I'm already looking forward to my next visit, and I know it won't be long before I'm back.

Please save your money: frozen has been superior to this bland sauced cardboard. Really. Diorgono thin supreme beats this. Either the other reviews are false or the patrons have no tastebuds. This pizza is just bland. Over $30 for a small, small salad, and tip. For what? Only gave it 2 stars because delivery was quick (I live 5 minutes away…and it was cold…but quick) and the box was taped. Crust: thin, bland, cardboard. Sauce: shamefully bland. I asked for extra: got nothing. Absent of seasoning. The mozzarella is even plastic like….the melt factor is missing like cheap bagged cheese with way too much I’d that stabilizer that keeps bag cheese from sticking together but ruins the quality. And the toppings: literally I counted 6 slices of pepperoni…I got a small, but that’s 1.5 pepperoni a slice?! And the saddest little salad: over $7 for wet lettuce; a few olives; literally 3 thin slices of red onion, and 4 pepperoncini slices. Ridiculous. Asked for an extra dressing and paid for it and didn’t receive that. They ought be ashamed. There are so many pizza options in the Navy Yard area: don’t choose this place. The last Dominos pizza I had was better than this.

I was reared on pizza, in a small Italian American town in Pennsylvania and also in NYC and its boroughs. This means I have an immutable opinion on what means to be a good pizza, and I share it, often. I also am a Barracks Row neighbor, excited to welcome new friends. I visited Extreme Pizza Barracks Row Saturday afternoon, 2/27/21. I was impressed by their conscientious Covid protocol; their courteous, friendly, efficient, and unfussy/family-friendly customer service; and the quality and pricing of their basic cheese pizza (I told you, there is only one pizza for me!). The crust was a tad bit thicker than that of a NYC pizza, but it was yummy and cooked perfectly; and the ratio of crust, sauce, and cheese was perfect, and each component was fresh and tasty. This definitely will be one of my only two go-to DMV pizza joints! My only suggesed upgrades (I am a New York expat, and a dog nut), first, if you do not already do so -- and I figure you do -- make sure to welcome well-behaved puppy family members to the patio, and second, put out a water bowl for your passerby neighbor pups. Again, welcome to the neighborhood!

All the food was so good. We started with the twisted breadsticks. Let me tell you, AMAZING!!! Crunchy, cheesy, garlicky…. All of the good things! We I did 3 different pizzas. We did The Shredder, the Monte Blanc and just a regular cheese pizza. All three were very tasty . However, I’d have to say the shredder took the cake for me. It was so good spicy, sweet, umami and all good things pizza. It was so good!! Let’s talk about the beer. I ordered the a mango white ale and the Black market. All of which were tasty. I really enjoyed it. If I lived local, I’d make it a regular place that I would frequent. All in all, this place is a 10 out of 10 for service, 10 out of 10 for the food, 10 out of 10 for the beer and a 10 out of 10 for the prices! You won’t regret stopping by. I am so very glad I did!

Stopped in on a Tuesday evening. Food: I ordered wings. I had the tandoori and the buffalo. Both were excellent, spicy, well seasoned, and piping hot. If you're a fan of blue cheese like me, the blue cheese was chunky! I also got the winging it pizza thats topped with gorgonzola cheese, buffalo chicken and celery. It was also hot and delicious! Service: If the food was good, the service is the reason why I needed to write this review. Our waiter was so pleasant. Gave a great and accurate recommendation on the wings and was so kind to my daughter. I would definitely recommend this location! Good service and hot tasty food is hard to come by these days!

The pizza is absolutely ridiculous great here and the staff is great. I was perplexed why the place was so empty when I was there on a beautiful Saturday (dine in for about 2 hours). I am wondering if it's because the customers are of a different demographic than the service. I grew up in S.E., DC and this section of the city has developed tremendously. Some good and some bad. It's focus has primarily catering to white patrons. However, let's not forget the History of the city to cater to a specific clientele. Food is UNIVERSAL. Come in and enjoy a large "Yard Sale" you won't regret it.

Editing my previous review because almost every time I order delivery they mess up my order. With all the delivery fees and tips, it’s way more to get delivery and I don’t plan to order again. The most recent order I made, I paid for extra bacon and they didn’t put it on my pizza. When I called to complain, all they offered was to refund the cost of the bacon and they still had an attitude about it. While the pizza is good here, it’s really inconsistent on delivery and I don’t think the customer service is up to par.

We went tonight for dinner and had a great experience. Not only was the pizza delicious, but the owner was so kind and had outstanding customer service. One of the pizzas we ordered didn't come with the modifications we requested and he immediately and without hesitation went to make us a new pizza. We didn't even have to ask. Before we could even say anything he noticed it was made incorrectly and removed it from the table. We will be coming back for the customer service and great pizza :) :)

Just popped in to try the newest addition to the plethora of pizza joins on Barracks Row on Capitol Hill, Extreme Pizza. I sample three pizzas, basic with fresh mozzarella, pepperoni with fresh mozzarella, and the Aveiro with andouille sausage and chopped smoke bacon and pepperoncini (my favorite). It's not just pizzas, they have an extensive list of salads as well. The selection of wine is a bit limited but if you're a beer drinker thhave you covered. I'll be back.

Absolutely fantastic. The railroad grade pie was one of the top pizzas I’ve ever had. The tomato sauce has good zest, toppings are plentiful and the cheese is top quality. I was very impressed with the service. The manager, possibly owner was so kind when I picked up the order. I originally tried to get delivery to my area in the southeast but it wasn’t available. A great selection of interestingly-named pizzas, and it was hard to choose which to start with so I opted for a simple tomato basil. It's not skimping on either tomato or basil! Very tasty, decent proportions of ingredients, excellent delivery. SF prices so standard that way. Bread was soft and not terribly thin, standard flour (not sourdough) but they have a gluten free option too. Will order again the next time I'm craving pizza and will try out another one, but it was a good experience the first go around.

Best experience ever sitting outside at Extreme Pizza with my husband. Nedal, the owner, gave us the best service and atmosphere to enjoy a fun night out. I am not confusing you; I called your store and they told me that I could not order for pick up because you were closing early since it wasn't busy. Went there with my sons yesterday. Wings we had in there were ok... Got a huge pizza to go. And all family went down with the stomach pain (all 4 of us who had pizza, my wife didn't and she was fine...)! And my 5 y.o. daughter's friend came in last evening for a few min and tried a piece. Both complained this morning about the stomach. So all 5 who had pizza went down! Not sure what was in that pizza but it's pretty messed up since it was our first time trying this place!

This is the perfect casual date night spot! There are endless pizza combos with healthy options like cauliflower crust and every veggie you can think of. Best of all, the staff treat you like family. I’ll keep coming back!

I swear, this is in the top three best pizzas I've EVER eaten - and pizza's my favorite meal! And the staff? Soooo sweet. We entered at ten of ten (closing time) after the Marine's show, and they were *soo* sweet! "Yes, come in! We'll feed you!" Treated us like family. We hurried out, but MAN! That Mammoth pie? It's a MUST! If you're in DC, go to the Barracks Extreme! Those ladies will take care of you!!!

Our waiter was Ray Ray and she held the entire place down alone. She was the cook, the order taker, maintenence, etc.. I came in with my daughter and we had wings and pizza. Despite staffing, food and service was outstanding! I was visiting from Pittsburgh and I haven't stopped talking about this place!!

Just came back from a pre-opening “friends and family” night at Extreme Pizza. They should be opening their doors to the public in just a day or two. My pepperoni, mushroom and olive pizza was piping hot and delicious. Prices are very reasonable and the staff are friendly and attentive. It’s also located in a great spot on Barracks Row. The interior space is perfect with a layout that can’t be beat!

Stopped by this newly reopened shop. Had the Wingin't Pizza. Service was great, staff was friendly. Pizza was REALLY good. Great crust, awesome flavor. Pretty quiet, as it has just reopened, but the place is looking good. Can't wait for them to get their beer license and service up and running. Looking forward to enjoying many more meals from here. Stop by, you will be glad you did.

I went to their soft opening, so they warned me that I might have to be patient with the new workers. But I actually had a really good experience: quick service, tasty food, friendly employees (not a given in the District!). As a vegetarian, I appreciated the substantial vegetarian menu, and I am excited to try the vegan wings. I'm looking forward to going back!

Mediocre at best, the pizza was on par with your standard chains. Gave it a try because we have a coupon for a Free 10" Individual pizza. Fun fact: a 10" pizza isn't on the menu just an 8" or 12" so I'd recommend having some of your marketing team double-check your promos before you send them out. Overall, tried it, didn't like it, and wouldn't recommend.

Sean was amazing! They weren’t even open and he still gave us pizza and water with ice in cups!!!! He also recommended nearby places to go to. Amazing place

Went back to this place after the recent reopening under new management and I'm upping my review to 5 stars from 2. The new staff and management were fantastic. They got our order right and the food was amazing. Hands down best pizza in DC! Their vegan pizza options are amazing and customizable!

Nice looking place. Beautiful bar, and friendly service. We had a 14" green with envy, an 18" cheese with black olives, and an 8 piece vegan wings. $58 with tip. The crust was bland and dry. Highlights were the pesto and buffalo sauces. The vegan wings were very dry and overcooked

I had a craving for wings and I went here after work and ordered 8 piece bone-in spicy hoisin wings and they were over cooked and burnt disappointed!!!!

The experience was very great came here with a friend since it was there first and was disappointed food is good and recommend to those who like pizza.

Best pizza in the city. The food and the service were awesome.

I Love this pizza spot, I just moved in the area and stumbled in. Nadal the owner was great. He made my overall fun and experience enjoyable.

Came in on a Sunday afternoon. Staff was super friendly. Pizza was some of the best I've ever had. 10/10 would recommend.
