I recently had the pleasure of spending a day at Fawkner Park, and it was an absolute delight, especially for families with energetic kids. The vast expanse of this park makes it an ideal spot for little ones to burn off energy and explore to their heart's content. One of the standout features of Fawkner Park is its sheer size. Whether it's a game of tag, a leisurely walk, or simply lounging on the grass, there's enough room for everyone to enjoy without feeling crowded. My son, in particular, had a fantastic time. He spent two joyous hours running around, which was not only great for his physical activity but also for his overall happiness. Seeing him so engaged and content in the natural surroundings was a heartwarming sight. The time he spent with his grandfather, 'Pop,' in the park was special, creating memories that will surely be cherished. The park's kid-friendly environment makes it a top choice for families. The open spaces are safe for children to play, and the atmosphere is welcoming and lively. It's a perfect setting for a family outing, where parents can relax and watch their kids have fun in a secure and beautiful environment. It's a very large park, a nice little church is also positioned at a corner. The park spans from St kilda road to Toorak road and I a great place for runners, dog walkers, and families. There are toilets, water taps, footy area, two play grounds, large trees and nice footpaths. There is a gentle steep from Toorak road to St kilda road when you walk that way in the park. The view is great, recommend for photography as well. You can see city buildings too.

It is the perfect place for any kind of activity! I have played touch football here, tennis, gone for walks to catch Pokémon, seen people playing cricket, AFL, cycling, having picnics and even sports I don’t know the name of! There are parks for children, a basketball court, it’s easily accessible off Toorak Rd and there’s something about watching people play quidditch that intrigues you…

This place is like the ultimate picnic paradise! Surrounded by nature, it's the chill spot to kick back, munch on some goodies, and soak in the good vibes. Total picnic perfection!

How could you say no to a park. The grass was exquisite although mud was doing it’s best to break through at any opportunity. There was a family reunion of dogs and an old man doing laps of the footy field who could only reliably straighten one of his legs. But it’s an unreal park be one you won’t regret popping a squat in.

I went here for a walk almost everyday during the summer. Great park for jogging, cycling or walking ur dog. Ive seen a lot of people having picnic around the park as well. There are a lot of trees providing shades throughout the footpath area which mean you'll be fine if you don't want too much sunlight on your face.

Beautiful, spacious green grass, ovals and walking track all combined into one place. Perfect for a fitness fanatic, leisurely stroller or active group to play any number of sports. Plenty of park benches and chairs located everywhere around the park. Hope you enjoy the park as much as I did!

I was immediately struck by the park's lush greenery and peaceful atmosphere. The expansive lawns provided ample space for relaxation and recreation. I enjoyed finding a shady spot under one of the trees and spending a leisurely afternoon reading a book or having a picnic with friends.

By far one of my favourite parks in Melbourne. And my dog loves it too. Plenty of grounds and bike tracks. You can have picnic and play some games there. Go for a morning run and evening stroll. Love it. Highly recommend this place. Dog park peak time around 5-5:30pm weekdays..

Nice, well used public green space. People jogging, walking, eating lunch on the grass, playing soccer. Birds busking for treats, huge trees providing shade, well maintained sidewalks criss crossing the park. Water fountains available. Perfect use of space in great location.

This place makes us alive.... It's perfect park for Melbourne's crazy weather... It gives you Great shadows during summer, it's full of orange shades during autumn and good to. See green shoots during Spring.... It's a blessing in the middle of crowded at Kilda vicinity..

The proximity to Fawkner Park is a blessing in disguise for me. Missing my fur brother from back home, it's restful to sit on the grass and watch the various canine friends gambolling around. A brilliant oxygen hit in an otherwise building heavy neighbourhood.

I love Fawkner Park for all its beautiful tree avenues , sit and have lunch ,great playgrounds for kids , huge oval to kick a ball , great for picnics . Gorgeous at this time of year all the Autumn leaves begin to fall and makes it great for photography …

Really nice park for walking. There is a dog area, places for football, soccer, tennis club, cricket pitches etc. You can walk from Toorak Rd all the way to Commercial Rd, either to the hospital or via the diagonal path almost to Punt Rd.

Beautiful and so close. Just behind St Kilda road, so close to the city, an enormous park. So much open space. So much green. A great spot for a walk, run, picnic, a bit of sport. So nice to see spots like this still in Melbourne.

A wonderful paradise in the mid of the busy Toorak and south Yarra area. Plenty of open spaces, paths to walk or run on. Kids play areas and dog off leash areas. Enjoying the time here always. Sad to have to move away soon.

Nice Park for a good run but there is no fence hence not suitable for dogs who cannot recall, there's a road beside hence pretty dangerous if dog ran astray. Always have a leash on just in case

Such a great park with lots of open space for walks or sports! You will be able to see a nice view of the entire park and city view if you go to level 7 of the Baker’s building.

Fawkner Park is lovely. I go here a lot to get my quarantine outside time. It's always nice seeing so many dogs playing, and the trees scattered around are great to sit under

Beautiful sports field just south of botanical gardens in Melbourne city. Number of well maintained cricket fields with toilets and BBQ facilities.

A great new adventure park in Woodlea Estate. This park designed for 5 to 12yr olds. Lots for younger ones to do as well.
