I've visited this place for around 15 years and I watched it turn from a dive into a very stylish and comfortable casual bar. They've kept the funky DJs, art and random comfy couches, but fixed the lighting and overall vibe. Don't get me wrong, it's still dingy, but it's kept up to date. Their beer selection is excellent and spirits above average. They do a basic food menu which I'm yet to try but sit around $10. Their bathrooms are super cramped, but their wallpaper will excite any synthesiser nerds. I highly recommend FiftyFive for a quick or deep catch up with a close friend or two.

This was one of the worst experiences that I had in Melbourne. LADIES DON’T GO THERE!!!!!!!!! This place has so many creepy men that do not respect women privacy. A man joined my table without me giving contest ! And when I wanted to go to the toilet , their toilets are “ uni sex “ which is very scary for a bar. An Indian man came and laughed in front of my face. Their drinks are pretty bad too! Ew it’s such a disgusting place to drink . Completely unsafe for women

This place is so cute! What a gorgeous hidden gem of a bar. Vibes are cozy but also good for small-medium-sized groups with couches and armchairs all around and Reasonably priced. Gotta recommend the mulled cider it was like a blessing for my taste buds. Music was a bit loud for us but we were close to the speaker so not everyone will have the same experience. Lovely place, can't wait to introduce my friends to it!

a fantastic place, nearly hidden away and got the exclusive "only a few people know" vibe that has a nice chill atmosphere and some good beats to relax and groove to. a good selection of drinks and some personal favourites like Mulled wine on offer, and plenty of nooks and comfy seats for you and friends. great as a after work bar or at the tail end of a crawl just in walking distance to the tram and flinders St. station

Pretty good spot that's open quite late and on Mondays! Reasonably priced drinks, comfy lounge seating and cute decor makes this a good spot for a casual drink. The only negative is that when it gets really busy it can be hard to find somewhere to sit or stand that's not in the way.

Fiftyfive is probably one of the best lesser known bars in the city. You’ll find drinks and lounge music Monday to Wednesday, and DJ’s Thursday onwards. The diffused lighting, comfy environment and friendly staff make this a great spot to come for a relaxing drink and conversation, there’s a lovely ambience to the space.

It's a lovely bar, super cosy inside and full of couches/tables/chairs. But, the venue is very small and on a Saturday night it was completely packed. I sat on a side table as there was literally no other seating available. I recommend coming on a weekday or arriving earlier More

Cute little very Melbourne underground bar with comfy couches, cocktails and happy hour beer and wines. The mini pizzas are ok but won’t win any awards. Would be great if this place had a wider range of snack food to complement the lovely cocktails.

I love this bar for its diverse vibes. You can slump on a couch with a whiskey and enjoy a chill conversation, or sit at the bar and enjoy the mastery up close. Lovely staff; sexy lighting and cool tunes. Can’t wait to go back with my girlfriends

Great selection of drinks, mulled cider was very nice. Staff is nice. The atmosphere inside was just superb, very warm and cozy. We tried 2 cocktails there, Night Cap and Subterranean Marg, one tasted like weed, and the other pure alcoholic

I’ve been coming here for the 9 years , I’ve loved it , had so many good memories , glad it survived covid . I hope it keeps going and will be here another 9 and 9 after that. I’m at an age where life is changing and I know I gotta go with

Super nice little bar, perfect for small groups or couples to come and chat. Drunk prices are average for a cocktail bar, and the music was really nice, more of an old-school vibe playing vinyls the night I was there. Definitely recommend!

Nice environment, with cool decoration and great music... But there are no many options of beers... And the customers are formed by many young and rude people, which makes the experience not that good!

Went on a Tuesday night and was greeted by some amazing staff supplying some terrific vibes. Mo and Iris were the 2 bartenders that added to the phenomenal experience that Melbourne has to offer.

Cosy, relaxed environment. Tables and seats are a bit closer than desired (making people talk louder) but it's where the fun is.
