One of the best places to fo refresh your mind,.. open nature is always good and healthy and the good thing about it is that it is free just to sit there have a nice chilas and braai ,.. and also to have a wonderful picnic with your friends or family even a date will do ,.. most times it is so quite and clean well maintained and taken good care off,.. just the sound of water and ducks floating around some people just go there to chill and refresh their mind some just ,.. go fishing or move around with a boat , .. some people just do a brai and play music while hanging there with friends its a nice place to be,..open for the public

All round undesirable place. Very dirty and in utter disrepair. Rubbish and broken glass all over. Lake very polluted on eastern side and reeks of rotten water. Some birds in pain and despair due to injury caused by strings caught on their paws and other injuries caused by waste in the lake. Truly a shame that Joburg City Parks in particular and the city administration in general have allowed this and many other parks to deteriorate to this level.

Took the grand children there to feed the ducks, which they really enjoyed. It's a pity there is no law and order anymore. People sitting and drinking alcohol with their car doors open and the music full blast. It's was such a nice place where one could just sit at the water's edge and relax

Sad to see how the area around the lake has deteriorated. Many foreigners have moved into the area devaluing the property around the lake. People parking around the lake consuming alcohol and drugs and leaving their bottles behind. So sad.

Its reasonable good fishing spot on the one side of the dam membership is required to fish on the quiet side of the dam, as far as the side for families its not clean the water is full of litter and up keep is poor

Very nice to come and relax and for family time only some parts of the lake needs to be cleaned and do not allow car's inside because they can't look after the place leaving their Dirt behind. …

Nice fishing area for club members. Other areas around lake also offer some nice fishing spots. Fish include carp, bass, barbell and perch. No public restrooms and not very safe to fish alone over night.

Lake Florida is a nice place to relax for a picnic or a barbeque with family and friends. The lake boasts of massive waterfowl and there is canoeing classes for kids free of charge on weekends.

I love this place, what makes it sad is that people drive along Swan Stree without a care for the Ducks and birds. And ride over them. I wish they would hate the area, or put speed bump up.

During the week and on saturady, Its a nice place to drop by with the kids to play around, although on sundays it can get crouded with people parking in the streets and playong loud music

Great to fish and for the little ones to feed the ducks, be warned that on Sundays alot of young adults gathers at the lake blasting loud music and drinks alcohol

A very well taken cared of Park and the lake. Big up to the Jhb city parks services. The grass is not so green but that is understandable the park is very busy.

A place of immense beauty and tranquility which could be developed into a haven and attraction for the area. Vagrants sewerage and safety need urgent attention

It has the natural beauty of a lake however weeds seem to be taking over the East and West ends, including some of the tributaries. Perfect for sport fishing.

Place needs to be cleaned up. Also it needs more police patrolling that area as lots of criminal activities are taking place.

If you are just looking for a park that's ok, then that is the park to go to. It is a bit neglected and run down.

We go there every day to feed the ducks. Can become a bit noisy over weekends(drunk people and loud music).

The water is amazing however the sunset is breathtaking ... it's an attraction that the west is proud of.

It was okay, although the pools are still being fixed...really not much to do apart from sightseeing.
