We had a booking for 10am, only to arrive to a locked door. We were finally let in at 5 past 10 and then rushed through everything. My treatment was okay, but both my daughters were unhappy with the quality of their massages. Our package included lunch. We were shown to the restaurant where vacuuming continued whilst we were there. Some staff were walking around without masks. The salads are listed as served on "a bed of Asian greens", but it was in fact just plain lettuce. One salad was served without any chicken even though it is clearly stated on the menu. The chicken was added after we queried it. A very very disappointing experience at the spa and the restaurant. Response to the owner's response to clarify a few matters and offer proof..... The door was locked. I called THREE times before the call was answered. I have the call logs to prove this. 09:59, 10:00 when I left a voice message and 10:03 when the phone was finally answered. The therapist that unlocked the door apologized and told us that the manager has not come to work that is why you opened late? So it is a lie to say that you were open. Both salads had lettuce. We know what bok choy is. Do not assume that we are uniformed. And I have photo of the salad..... If you have cameras in the restaurant as you say, pls check them. I asked the staff member that was busy with the hose pipe to please put his mask on before coming near our table. Check it, the proof is there. I am fully aware that my daughter's were booked for Aromatherapy massages. Again, do not assume that we do not know the difference between types of massages. Both my daughter's have bad numerous aromatherapy massages in the past, therefor they are more than capable of discerning between a quality treatment and a rush job. Again, we are fully aware of the packages we booked but it is clear you are trying to deflect from our bad experience by indicating the prices of your packages. I could mention a number of other concerns with your establishment which I have left out of my original review. Suffice it to say that we will not be returning and I will not engage with you further.

Once you step inside Fusionista you simply cannot believe that you are actually in Randburg. It feels as though you've been transported to a beach resort in Thailand. The psychedelic lighting and trippy decor adds to the feeling of being far away. I love that each room has it's own theme and personality. We did the couples rendezvous package which is great value for money. At less than R3000 per couple for three treatments and a three course meal. The massage in the koi room was divine, you feel totally relaxed with fish swimming beneath you, it feels like you really are in a rainforest. The rasul mud treatment is also very interesting and relaxing, my skin felt incredibly smooth after and it really helped with my dry heels. And the jacuzzi session was just what we needed to end off the experience. On to the meal. While the full package is reasonable, Fusionista's menu is a bit chaotic and overwhelming. The lighting is also very strange and takes you away from the tranquil spa experience into more of a nightclub vibe. There are so many dishes, it will take you 30 minutes just to decide what to order, so best view the menu online beforehand. On the plus side they do seem to have everything offered on the menu, which is a good sign. However, I found the food a bit dated and some dishes were not particularly authentic, for example I had the duck and pancakes, however the pancakes were stock standard regular pancakes rather than the paper thin pancakes usually served with Peking duck. The sauce also consisted of a slightly off putting gloopy substance with whole stem maraschino cherries in it, which was not very practical to eat. Yet, I must commend the restaurant staff for really making my birthday special and making an effort with decorating my dessert, it does make a big difference. So, I would say the spa is fantastic however the food could be improved.

It was just after 5pm on Thursday, 15 December 2022, so we drove to this Fusionista restaurant in Fontainebleau, Randburg - luckily I remembered my gym friend, Heather Haumant, mentioned a fish tank ... and we got the only table right at the tank! Prawn crackers were placed on the table (I remember when we grew up, we used to make these at home) ... Hein chose a Singha Beer from Thailand, I wanted a Vietnamese coffee. (Cà phê đá is made using medium to coarse ground dark roast Vietnamese-grown coffee with a small metal Vietnamese drip filter. After the hot water is added, the drip filter releases drops of hot coffee slowly into a cup.) I saw the white at the bottom, but thought it was part of the glass cup ... the waiter said I must stir ... aaaah! Condensed milk at the bottom! And a crisp ginger cookie. Fish were adorable!!!! 2 of these eel-looking fish mostly rested on the bottom of the tank, but then 1 'cleaned' the side of the tank - big mouth and tongue. Shared fried pork dim sums and dipping sauce (sooo crunchy and delicious!), a small plate of avo fashion sandwiches and Green Curry with fried Jasmine rice. Everything was so delicious - when we got the bill, 2 tiny shot glasses arrived ... non-alcoholic - ice cold coconut milk. The fish tank table was booked for 7pm, so we were really fortunate to arrived early .... when you want to visit this restaurant, try and book the fish tank table! So worth it! So many dishes for us to try .... will go again!

Lovely lovely spa! Treated my mum there just this weekend! 2-3 things that should be considered. 1. Changing the slippers with a beter sole or grip. As it is a spa there is water on the tiled floor and is quite slippery.My mother almost fell while entering the restaurant using the spa slippers, fortunately I was holding her arm and held her firmly so she didnt fall. It would be horrific if someone sustains an injury because of that. 2. Maybe asking what we would want to do first or so? We took the full day package and did the jacuzzi and sauna last and we didn't want to wash away the oils and butter that we were massaged with. We should have been more vocal about it but it was our first time there and we didnt want to appear rude or so. 3. When the therapist were explaining what to do, maybe train them to talk a bit more slower, clearer and loudly. We understand that it should be peaceful but it was our first time so we kept asking for them to repeat what they were saying. And the tripping of electricity when getting my hair done.. it was quite funny but it should be dealt with. Only minor things but I assure everyone that this spa is definitely worth your money. An experience of a life time. My mother and I definitely had an amazing time there and we shall definitely be going back again. Thank you Fusionista!

To say I am disappointed would be an understatement. My partner booked a 90 minute massage treatment for us. Firstly the room was a bit cold, the pillow I had to rest my face on smelt a bit miff, the massues removed it for me. I told the masseus there was no music in the room and she advised me there was music. The music was coming from my partners room. After about 30 to 40 minutes the room began to warm up. An hour into the massage I addressed the music situation to the masseus and then she acknowledged that the music was not being played through the speaker. We had to move into another room which needed to be heated up and they were playing jazz and love music. I have not been to many spas and not once have I heard any of them playing love music and jazz. I was not getting the tranquil and relaxing experience and decided to cancel my massage as I was not going to annoy myself by spending money on a service which is meant to be a pleasant an relaxing experience. The new manager apologized for the room not being warm, the music not playing in my room and for the music list. I think this spa needs to warn customers in advance that they should expect songs from titanic and non spa related music. Maybe I was bad luck but I find the place is over rated. I have to note the set up is beautiful

Fusionista isn't bad. I know, I am damning this restaurant with faint praise. These are my reasons. Firstly, the menu is HUGE - way, way too big. This really makes decisions difficult, especially for a first visit. Secondly, their prices are extremely high. On the level of truly fine dining and this is not a fine dining restaurant. The overall quality of the meals was reasonable but certainly nothing to write home about. The starter dish for two came to the table luke-warm and not hot as I would expect from fried foods. The chicken on the skewers was tough and completely overcooked. The main course, crispy duck, on the other hand was good. My partner's Mussaman curry was reasonable. I ordered dessert, and, from the description, was expecting a mini chocolate mousse cake. A chocolate lava cake made it's appearance! Not that this was bad tasting but .... The service was good and attentive, the ambiance pleasant although the lighting was a little dim to actually read the vast menu properly! To be fair, it could be that my partner and I didn't select their best menu items or try anything exotic. In fact, we didn't have their sushi and I have heard that this is good. So, maybe Fusionista requires another try once my vague sense of disappointment has dissipated and my wallet recovered.

This place is really nice! We had a great visit and any feedback we had was handled professionally. It’s much bigger than I expected and the rooms are just stunning! The price is good and everyone is very friendly. It is really beautiful and you can’t believe you are in Randburg, it feels like you are at a fancy resort and each room is more beautiful than the previous one. You also get offered tea at the start and water in between so you can stay hydrated, it’s quite private as well. When you arrive it doesn’t look like much but when you get inside it is amazing. We also got to pick a scented candle that was put under the massage bed in the koi room, and then when you lie down and open your eyes you see the fish under you. My husband and I spotted one special fish with really cool fins and that was so cool haha. All in all I would definitely recommend it. Everything is clean and there are showers everywhere to rinse off.

Friendliest people I have ever met...gracious hosts, with a gentle, yet powerful humility, excellent service end to end...from the time you make an appointment, till the time you leave. Everyone greets with a smile & creates a warm & welcoming atmosphere. Professional & stunning experience with Manager/front desk, therapists, even the lovely gentleman in the parking lot. The Therapy rooms are quite a unique and sensory experience...that combined with the excellent massage techniques of therapists, who I can safely say are brilliant at what they do, make for one of the best spa experiences I have ever had!! Absolutely Love it!! I definately recommend Fusionista Spa & will be back to try out their other themed rooms. The winning formula for me is the warmth, the welcoming vibes & utmost friendliness, yer super Professional...a Spa with alot of humanity & character!! THANK YOU FUSIONISTA SPA!

I had one of the best spa experiences at Fusionista spa. The ambience and serenity is simply spectacular. The spa manager Delisha ( I hope I am spelling the name correctly) is very welcoming and ever smiling. I felt the therapist was also very professional and well trained. Just one piece of advice for the upkeep of some of the areas in the spa ( Jacuzzi was not as clean as expected from an elite spa like this one especially when you are spending a hefty amount of R2000+ and the Salon area was very unkept with damp and stained walls) Otherwise the spa rooms and other facilities were simply spectacular. The mouth watering food is a ‘not to miss’ offering in the package. Thank you for the pampering and extremely relaxing day. Hoping to give 5 star to Fusionista in my next visit.

Decided to spoil hubby and I to a nice dinner out. Impeccable food as usual ! The best Asian food in the area ! Highly recommend their crispy duck and crispy duck wing starter , as well as amazing sushi ! Love coming here for a spoil. Our waiter Joshua was absolutely amazing ! He was so nice , very quick with bringing food or explaining why something was taking longer than expected . Made sure we always had a drink, chatted with us in such an easy manner . Really such a nice guy and awesome waiter ! Honestly he’s THE BEST waiter ive ever had and he deserves a big raise for that . He made the amazing food experience fushionista offer an amazing overall experience !

I highly recommend this place, I spent my birthday there on the 24th of May and I did the full day package and everything was impressing, the ambience 10/10, service 10/10 overall I’m glad I chose this place to spend my birthday, I wouldn’t have done it any other way. A highly recommended day of pampering and excellent service. We were treated to an afternoon of absolute luxury, relaxation and meditation for the soul and body. The restaurant food is some of the best Asian cuisine I've ever eaten. The venue is beautiful, service was excellent. Don't be intimidated by the size of the menue, which is unbelievably big. You can pick anything and you are guaranteed the freshest ingredients and a taste sensation. Loved the whole afternoon.

This is our absolute favorite restaurant and a total hidden gem. We had our wedding reception here with very little warning and George was absolutely accommodating of everything we wanted. We ordered a variety of dishes as canapés and literally every single dish was incredible. All the guests loved the food and the ambiance. I would have my wedding here again a hundred times over. What a wonderful place with the most incredible food.

What an experience! I booked a full day package for my partner and I, and we were treated like royalty! A lovely hidden gem of a Restaurant in the heart of Randburg Johannesburg! A MUST VISIT! What a great experience, starting from the ambience, variety of food and friendly service! A lot of emphasis on the Asian cuisine. Fusionista also offers a Spa treatment centre on the same property, with very friendly experienced staff. A great place for couples looking for the best of both worlds experince on that special date-night!

Booked my family in for my birthday treat and what a treat it was. My kids thoroughly enjoyed it and so did we. I had a male masseuse- he was really good. Booked 2 couples massage and a single which included a free lunch from a selected menu and a birthday gift. The decor is amazing and serene. Highly recommended. The spa treatment was very good. We really enjoyed the full body massage and the service was proffessional. 5 stars.. However, the restaurant was dissappointing. We waited 1h15 min for our starters to be served. They informed us that they were short staffed but that is way too long. My main meal which was prawns with noodles....the prawns was great but the noodles was stuck to the pan and i couldn't eat it.

Arrived for my treatment at 4pm just to find out that they had booked the wrong time and that I missed my appointment that they booked at 3pm. No call to ask where I was at 3pm. The customer service was terrible and the staff were not accommodating for their mistake. But at least spa looked nice inside. Very disappointed with the customer service as the treatment was for my friend’s birthday.

A very pleasant atmosphere. So relaxing, wonderful scents. Staff are well trained and friendly, great massage, I slept like a baby after it. It is really one of thee most beautiful spas. Wanted to celebrate partners birthday and Stumbled upon this place, thought of giving it a try. Never regretted it. All staff are so helpful, polite and professional! Spa and massage both are all good, the ambiance and comfort of the place just slows down your day. Food we had at the restaurant was delicious and authentic, we definitely will be heading back there soon!

We decided to try Fusionista's couple massage special which included a 60 minute couples massage followed by a delicious dinner and complimentary drink. It was an amazing experience! We had such a great time at Fusionista. We had a 90 min massage. It was Couples special for R1200. It started with a lovely foot scrub and then we had our full body massage. The ladies were so friendly and lovely and the massage was fabulous. After, we went to have dinner at the restaurant. Great service, amazing sushi and dessert!

The whole experience was devine, from the spa to the amazing food at the restaurant, the service was all around amazing, Thank you! the only criticism I would have to give, is the outside needed abit of a facelift (new paint outside, varnish on wooden structures), but very unassuming, which is what makes the experience so great.

I've just had an amazing Angry Duck, the most authentic Thai meal I've had in South Africa . This place should be on everyone's bucket list. I had a smoky Joe whisky which is a Lagavulin 16 year old whisky infused with smoke which was spectacular. Definitely worth another visit.
